"Thank for being you again and explaining a delicate question so
well. Powers of Attorney?"

"Jeremy and I again. I brought up the up the subject earlier. After you
went into the hospital, and he realized that if something happened to me or
him, it might be difficult for him or me to easily get into see each other,
let alone make decisions, if we are travelling for instance. He insisted
that we do something. By the way, we are planning a trip to Europe next
spring."

His father did something that he had never done before. He reached over and
touched his shoulder. "You certainly are more than my son."

"Dad ...."

"Son, I have reflected on what you said that day a lot. You were not
wrong. You were forceful and direct. I was wrong. I am so happy to have you
for who you are."

Timothy did something that he had never done. He moved over and gave his
dad a hug. His dad looked pleased.

They saw them off and turned to each other. Jeremy looked at him. "I saw
you with your father. I am so happy for you. You can tell me the details
later." Jeremy pulled Timothy over to where their drinks were and he picked
one up. "To us. We make a great team. Love you Timothy, a lot."

The kiss was a loving kiss. Later, it was even more intense.

Present

They wanted a free day that was just theirs. Jeremy had a few things that
he wanted to do that day. Nothing big but little things. He had decided
that he would not take any break from work so he had arranged with Jamie
and David that he would start back at the Accountants on Monday morning. He
had checked on the dress code and what was usually worn at the office
now. He had all his clothes settled for tomorrow, laid out and ready to
wear. He phoned and asked David and Jamie not to make a big thing of his
arrival. He wanted to be just a new hire in the forensic division. He asked
to be introduced as Jeremy and for everyone to introduce him to the staff
without his last name. He knew that word would get out eventually but if
possible, he wanted to try to establish himself without that baggage.

But mostly, Jeremy wanted to be alone with Timothy. He and Timothy had
decided on a bike ride late in the morning with a stop over for lunch at
one of their favourite cafes. It promised to be a beautiful day and they
had reserved a spot on the patio for one o'clock. The cafe was known for
bike riders to arrive on bikes and with biking gear on.

Over breakfast, Jeremy, "Has anyone mentioned our rings? We have been
wearing them for almost a week. By the way, I just love stopping once in a
while at work and just looking at it." With a bit of a smirk on his
face. "I get that vision of your cute face."

Jeremy started to chuckle as Timothy started to bristle at the word 'cute'
."I love it; you are so easy to get with that word. Maybe you are just
easy."

"Watch it stud! See, I say good things about you. You could get cut off."

"Come here. Let's start the day off right."

"Oh I thought we had already done that about 45 minutes ago. OK, can't get
enough of me, eh?"

It was a good kiss and hug.

"Back to your question before you sidetracked us. Mom mentioned it at your
reception on Friday because she noticed that you had one too. She really
likes what we are doing."

"Jamie and Michael noticed mine. Jamie thought that we had both chosen
colours that really highlighted our colouring. They are thrilled about us
being together. Michael thought that it was classical and handsome. He
liked the commitment that it meant."

"I like them for all those reasons."

They arrived at the cafe at exactly 1. The sun was brilliant in a clear
blue sky. It could not have been a better day. They ordered a cappuccino
and then one of the specials of the day. As usual, the food was
excellent. They reminisced about the last few days which had been so
exciting for both of them. They reiterated that they would need a bigger
dinning room in the new house. However, both guys admitted that their
dinner party the previous night had been all that they had hoped for over
the last few months.

They had a great day together and ended with an easy supper of leftovers
and watched some TV and went to bed. Timothy spoke encouraging words about
the next day to his stud as his stud performed his studly duties. They
laughed at Timothy's words. It was romantic and passionate. A great way to
end the day and week.

Jeremy was a little nervous as he showered and shaved on Monday morning. He
wanted to make a good impression on his first day. He still knew quite a
few of the people in the office from his summer jobs that he had had over
his university days. However, like all organizations there had been moves,
promotions and new hires especially in the forensic unit as it had grown
considerably under David's watchful and surprisingly aggressive eye. As
Jamie had said many times, David was one of his best hires that he made in
the last years. In fact, he often reminisced about the quiet almost
withdrawn young man who had blossomed over the five years with the firm.

Timothy looked at his guy as he was about to leave, "I can tell that you
are nervous. Remember what you always say to me. You came top of your class
at university. You have worked very successfully with Michael Burtchell,
one of the top forensic accountants in North America. You are great with
people. Go get 'em tiger." Timothy's smile lit up his face as he leaned to
kiss his guy.

As often happened, Jeremy smiled and swallowed hard realizing that often
this is what a relationship was about, support and encouragement. As he
drove to work, he realized that their relationship had so many facets.
They could be serious and make plans, discuss difficult situations but
often they had fun with each other. They could laugh with words like 'cute'
and 'stud'. They enjoyed being with each other. He was a lucky guy.

Rosa at reception welcomed Jeremy with pleasure. "Jeremy, we are so glad
that you are returning full time as a CPA. You know where to go. See Matt
in Human Resources. He has the papers ready to give to you, to look at and
sign. Great to see you again." Her telephone rang and she had to take it.

It felt so familiar and good to be home. He waved at people as he went to
HR. Matt in Human Resources was new but he was friendly and efficient. In
no time, after he had read and signed all the papers that he was given,
Jeremy would be a full time accountant at the Accountants. Matt mentioned
that Jamie had some meetings that morning and would see him later in the
afternoon. He had added just like all new members of staff. He directed him
to the Forensic Department which was in a new area. Jeremy was pleased at
how large it had grown and was even more pleased to finally be seated
outside David's office as an employee.

While he waited for David to finish his phone call, he looked around and
the first person that he saw was Paula, the secretary/go to person in the
section. She looked up from her work and when she saw Jeremy, a big grin
spread across her face. Jeremy stood up and walked over.

"Paula, so great to see you. I am so excited about coming back, you have no
idea how much this means to me."

"Jeremy, we and I in particular, are so looking forward to having you back
full time. A CPA with a forensic background. I know that you want to keep
it quiet but Mr. Milner is so pleased about your decision. Mr. Milner
really has kept it very quiet as you wanted."

There was clearing of a throat behind Jeremy. David was standing at his
door with the biggest smile on his face. "Paula, I need that new member of
staff in my office now."

Jeremy touched her shoulder, "See you later. The boss calls."

Closing his door, "Jeremy, I have been looking forward to this day for
quite a while. I just want to establish some things."

"David, before you say anything, can I just say a couple of things?" David
smiled and nodded yes. "You are my boss and I shall always treat you like
that. I know that your standing in the community of forensic accounts is
very high. Michael talks very respectfully of you as a professional and as
competitor. You are my boss. What does everyone call you?"

"Some, David, some Boss. It depends."

"For the time being, Boss it is." Jeremy shrugged but smiled lightly. "How
do you want me to start? I intend to be the new guy who has to measure
up. I know that sooner rather than later my last name will become known but
until then ....?" He shrugged again.

"Thanks Jeremy. You made that very easy for me. We have just taken on a new
case. It is a tough one and quite big. I have established a group to work
on it and I want you as part of that group. I take the lead but I am often
busy with running this unit so Peter is de facto lead. I think that you
remember Peter from your time here." Jeremy shook his head yes. "I'll
introduce you this afternoon or tomorrow morning officially. You have a
small office that Paula will set you up in. I am certain that you will have
a number of interested people turn up to meet you informally."

"I am used to small offices at Michael's. Don't expect it to be always
pristine. If you remember, I do tend to spread out. They called it Jeremy's
chaos but it works for me."

They smiled at each other. David looked at his watch. "Sorry, Jeremy
another damned meeting in 20 minutes and I have to prepare myself." He
smiled, shaking his head at the thought of the meeting and sighed. "It is
one part of my job that I do not relish."

Paula showed him to his office and he placed the wonderful picture that MC
had taken of him and Timothy at the chalet when they had Jake and Marie up
for the weekend. He had decided that he was going to be out to everyone
right from the start. MC had been right; the two of them looked so happy
with each other and handsome too, he had to admit. He placed it in such a
position that people would have to come around his desk to see it. He was
going to be subtle and not flaunt it.

He started to read through the documentation that Matt had given him. He
had signed his first form when he caught a movement at his door. A young
lady was standing there looking at him. He was on his feet with smile on
his face. "I am Jeremy the new hire. Thanks for dropping by."

"Hi, I am Heather one of the more recent CPA hires. I have been here about
5 months."

"I am right out of the box. Brand new. Just received my accreditation on
Friday and wanted to get down to work immediately."

"Where did you work this year?"

He gave her the name of Michael's firm.

"Isn't that where Michael Burtchell works? You left there to come here?"

"Yeah, I wanted something smaller but growing. I know from things that I
heard there that this department is becoming well know. I like that kind of
challenge. Where did you graduate from?"

"U of T (University of Toronto).

"A great school. I bet you did really well there to get this job with the
Boss and Mr. Milner interviewing you."

"I did well. Yes, he and Mr. Milner gave me a grilling. Well welcome. We
shall chat again."

"Thanks for coming over to talk. Appreciated. I am looking forward to
working with you."

"Hope so, not everyone feels that way." She turned quickly to leave before
he could question that last comment.

Jeremy put that comment aside for later. He finished up all his paper work
and decided to take it back to Matt. As he stood up, a young man walked
into his office."

"You must be Jeremy the new hire. I'm Kenneth. Thought that I would drop by
to welcome you."

"Thanks, a friendly group. Heather left a few minutes ago." They chatted
for a while and he discovered that Kenneth worked part time in forensics
and the rest of his time doing general accounting for the firm. He hoped
that his arrival had not held Kenneth back from joining the section. He
didn't want that animosity. He sounded him out and found out that he had
not specialized in forensics but liked the little bit of work that he had
done. He seemed like a bright guy and one that he would like to get to
know.

On his way out to Human Resources, "Paula, Heather dropped by and on her
way out. I told her that I was looking forward to working with her. Her
reply disturbed me. She said that not everyone felt that way. A problem?"

Paula looked around. "I'll only say this. There are mostly males around
here and not all are happy to have to work with a women. You know, we are
just ... women."

Jeremy's eyes narrowed. "You are being discreet so I won't push. But you
know where I stand on that. Please if there is anything that I can do,
ever, let me know."

She smiled knowingly at Jeremy and promised that she would keep that in
mind.

"Oh, I have met with the boss. Heather dropped by as did Kenneth. I know
Peter and I 'll see him at some point. Is there anyone else that I should
meet?"

"William Philips has been around this morning. I gather that he has been
VERY busy today but I am sure that he will be able to find time to see
you." She said it with not quite a neutral tone. There was something that
she was not saying.

He shrugged and went to Human Resources to hand in his papers to become
part of the Accountants.

On his way back to his office, he decided to stop at the staff lounge for a
coffee. As he approached, he heard a rather rough, petulant voice say, "So
what is the bugger like. Yeah, I dropped into his office a few minutes
ago. He has a picture on his desk with a guy. They looked pretty
close. Must be his fucking boyfriend. We have enough of those already in
the office. Probably how he got the job. Used his pretty, cute, little ass
to get a job here."

"Come on William, don't do that. He seems like a good guy, down to earth. I
suspect that he plays sports or works out a lot. Seems in really good
shape. Who cares about his orientation. If he helps the firm make money,
that is all that counts." He immediately recognized Kenneth's voice.

He heard William scoff at Kenneth's reply. "You won't have to work with him
every day."

Not hard to figure who Kenneth was talking to. This William had been in his
office, so probably in their section. This was William who didn't want to
come and welcome him. He decided not to confront the bastard at this
time. He would keep what he said to himself and plan. Was this behind
Paula's statement about William Philips and Heather's reference that not
everyone was pleased to work with her? He would have to see.

He started to organize his office and again he saw movement out of the
corner of his eye. It was David. "The meeting has ended and I am
hungry. Want a quick lunch?"

"Yeah, not a lot left to do today. I have met some people and filled out my
forms. Let's go."

He decided that he would say nothing to David about what he had heard from
the staff lounge. He would make certain to identify the voice and then plan
a strategy. Why did there seem to have to be problems especially about
someones private life? What did it matter to these people? Judge him on his
work, yes. On how he acted with people at work, yes. But his private life,
NO! Well he had chosen to put a picture of him and Timothy on his desk so
he had his first reaction to it. So be it.

He took one last look at the picture as he left. He smiled and remembered
all the events behind that picture. That wonderful weekend at the chalet
with MC, Pierre, Luc, Jake and Marie.

He and David had a great meal. He finally got to ask David about work,
cases and when would he start.

"Peter was in meetings with me today. He said that he would be over to see
you this afternoon and fill you in with what was happening. He is looking
forward to working with you and hopes that some of your experience with
Michael would help in the months to come."

"Wow, I hope that he doesn't think that I am a Michael Burtchell. I am a
lowly, new CPA."

"Don't sell yourself short, certainly not in front of the staff. I know
your abilities well. You are going to make a difference here. I am so glad
that you have come home."

"Thanks David. I just hope that everyone lets me settle in." That last wish
was probably not to be. He blew out some air and went back to his office.

Peter came into his office about 2:30. They had talked for a while when he
finally looked at Peter, "Peter, I am not asking to be snowed under with
work but I haven't done much today. I really want to get to work. I don't
like being idle." He pursed his lips.

"Don't worry about that. We have a new case which looks as if it is going
to be difficult and I want all of you working on it as a team. We have a
meeting tomorrow at 9 for the entire team. I assume that you have met
everyone."

"Just about. I understand that there is a William here who has been busy
today. I'll make sure that we meet before the day is out. No need to
introduce me tomorrow. I'll fit into the rhythm of the place.'

"What is Michael Burtchell like?"

"One word, brilliant. Please don't introduce me by telling everyone that I
worked with him. It was just 3 cases and I followed his lead. I learned
some stuff but who knows if it has any relevance to this case or any one
that we get. I am truly a wet behind the ears, new CPA. End of issue." He
smiled again.

"We'll see if that last statement is true. Thanks for letting me know how
you feel about this. See you tomorrow. There should be some briefing papers
available now on the case."

They chatted a few more minutes about the case and Jeremy went to Paula to
see if she had the papers. Paula told him that William had picked them up
and he could get them from him. He looked at Paula and said one word,
'William'. She smiled and pointed to the end of the office. He could see
someone now in that office.

Jeremy walked slowly doing what Timothy must have done with his first court
case and with his father on July 2. He took a deep breath centring himself,
breathed out and knocked on the door as he entered. "William, I assume."
Jeremy looked at him. He saw a guy with dark hair, well cut clothes that
looked quite expensive. He looked good and fairly fit. He could see that he
might be attractive to some women but not his type.

William looked at him appraising him for strengths or weaknesses. "You must
be Jeremy. Sorry that I haven't had time to get over to see you. Quite busy
with the new case that we have." The voice, this was the William from the
staff lounge.

To himself Jeremy added and could have spent more time in his office and
less complaining in the staff lounge. Then Jeremy told himself to stop and
he smiled and put his hand out to shake. He made sure that he gave this guy
a good, strong handshake.

"Yes, I understand that it is potentially a tough one. Paula told me that
you had my documentation." William searched through the file folders on his
desk and found the one with his name on it. Jeremy wondered to himself why
they would be named. Each would be identical. Then he figured that it was a
smart move to be able to know what ones had not been picked up. Jeremy
noticed that he must have been one of the first.

There didn't seem to be any more to be said so he thanked William and said
that he would see him at 9. William simply said 'yes, 9'.

Jeremy went back to his office and started reading through the
material. There were so many thoughts running through his head that he
couldn't really concentrate. He decided that he would get some more
supplies for his office, talk to some of people he had known when he had
worked here during his university days and then go home. He would check to
see if Mr. Milner was free first. As it turned out, he was tied up in
meetings. He would unwind with Timothy and then spend a couple of hours on
the file. By leaving time, Jamie was still no where to be see, so he left.

He arrived home earlier than Timothy. He poured himself a small glass of
wine and started again to look through the documentation that he had been
given. Thirty minutes later he was finished. He had read several sections
over a couple times to check. There did not seem to be a lot of substance
to the material that he was given and it seemed to end suddenly. It was
almost as if he did not have all the documentation or maybe this was all
that the company had given them to start with. He was puzzled.

He heard the key in the lock and then Timothy's cheery, "Is my hot guy home
yet? OK, I see your shoes. I want a full run down of the day after I give
you a big, wet kiss."

Timothy walked into the living room to a smiling Jeremy. "Come here. I can
always use a big, wet kiss."

And kiss they did. Both were hungry, so they decided to make some food and
then hear about Jeremy's day.

A while later, after a good supper and some chit chat, "You seem a little
quieter than usual. You look as if you are not quite here with me. The day
at work? Everything OK?"

"Sorry, just off thinking. I had a great day and a not so great day. All
but one were friendly. There was a guy, William. There seems to be an
underlying tension about him in the office. Everyone came over to welcome
me except William. According to Paula, our secretary, organizer, the one
who knows all, William was VERY BUSY today and would probably see me later
in the day. I was going to walk into the staff lounge before noon hour when
I heard a diatribe about the picture of my boyfriend on my desk and how
there were to many of THEM in the office already. I apparently I used my
pretty, cute, little ass to get the job. It was William as I found out
later. I had to go and introduce myself in the afternoon."

Timothy tried to muffle his laughter. "It is cute and that might have
worked except you didn't need to use it. On the other hand, I ...."

Jeremy looked at him and started to chuckle. "You are so good for
me. Before you arrived, I had been looking over the material on the case
that William gave me and it is substandard. Unless I am missing something,
I can't see a company giving us that to start a forensic investigation."

Timothy was thinking. He had is lawyer look and Jeremy knew what he was
thinking so he finally said it out loud. "I think that he gave me bad
material to make me look bad."

"I bet that you are formulating a plan."

Jeremy raised his eyebrows. "Oh yeah. I am going to read it over in detail
again to make certain and then I know my first move. I'll get into work
early tomorrow. I shall see Paula first with my copy and then if I am
correct, I'll get her to give me the entire file. Then, I think that I
shall be very cool. I'll play the new guy, wet behind the ears at
tomorrow's meeting but the day after I will be subtle and William will
never know what hit him. If I can pull it off."

"You will. I don't think that I would want to be William right now." He
paused looking at his guy. "You know you look tense. Why don't you do your
review of the material and when you have finished, I have something in mind
to take the tension away."

Timothy raised HIS eyebrows. Jeremy gave him a long look. "You're on."
Little did he know what he was in for.

About 9:45, Timothy came into the study. Full blown Jeremy chaos. He had
numbered all the sheets and had them everywhere. "OK, I suspect that you
can't get anything else out of that. Pack it up big guy. You now have me to
deal with."

"I know now, that is a threat. As I have said, I never, never want to be on
your bad side. You're right; I can't do anything more on this
tonight. Either I am a really bad forensic accountant or someone is playing
me for the fool. Tomorrow will tell."

Everything was in his briefcase. Timothy was standing at the door to the
study. He put his arms over Jeremy's shoulders and guided him into the
bedroom. There were towels on the bed and some massage oil on the bedside
table.

Timothy gave him a quick kiss. "I have been wanting to experiment with this
for a while. I did some searching on the internet tonight." Then very
formally, "You are my first patient Mr. Marchese-Milner."

"Do I get a discount being your experimental patient, Doctor?"

"No payment for this treatment. Well, not quite correct. Payment will be a
little different. You'll see.

Now take off your clothes and lie on your stomach on the bed. I may work up
a bit of heat so I think that I should take off some of my clothes as
well. I wouldn't want to be overcome with heat exhaustion."

Jeremy decided that he had to play the game. "Ah doctor, you are so careful
and wise."

Jeremy was lying on his stomach on the bed. "I guess for a modest man like
you, I should cover you up. I'll place a towel over the pretty, cute,
little ass."

Trying not to laugh, "I feel so secure in your hands doctor even if you are
using rather loaded words."

Timothy mumbled agreement that he should feel secure. He put some oil on
Jeremy's shoulders and started to massage him. Jeremy knew that Timothy was
built smaller than he was but he was always surprised at how strong he
was. His hands went from lightly massaging his shoulders and neck area to
his thumbs and fingers going deeply into him. He did truly feel as if the
cares and nonsense of the day were draining a way. There were a lot of
moans and sighs from Jeremy of relaxation and pleasure.

Timothy could feel him relaxing. "You seem much less tense. Are there any
other areas where you feel tension?"

"Yes doctor, my thighs and surprisingly my butt."

"Not unusual." Timothy spent quite a few minutes massaging those areas. The
pleasure was all his this time.

Very seriously, "Doctor, I have to admit that you have released a lot of
tensions in my body but a lot of that tension seems to have gone to a
certain part of my body. I am a little embarrassed about it." He tried to
sound truly troubled about his situation

"Not unusual but it often goes to different areas for different
people. Where is it?"

Sounding helpful, "Well, if I were to turn over, you would be able to see
for yourself."

"Best show me."

Both guys were keeping a totally straight face as Jeremy turned over.

"Ah I see. Quite impressive. The build up of tension I mean, of course. I
am so glad that you mentioned it. I can see that it is troubling
you. However, I have a very special technique for that. Do you want me to
administer it?"

"Doctor, your ministrations have been so knowledgeable and wise that I
trust you."

Timothy nodded sagely and lowered his head to the area of tension. He took
it in his mouth. At first, he just let his tongue gently move around and
around the head and then he encircled it with his mouth and sucked the
head. His oiled finger went into another area of possible tension.

"Oh, Doctor, you may be wrong. The tension is becoming even stronger in the
entire area."

Timothy took his mouth off the now dripping area of tension but his finger
was still moving slowly in and out. Timothy looked very intensely and
seriously at Jeremy. "Of course, it is taking even more tension from other
parts of the body. It needs to build and build. I guarantee that there will
be massive release of tension very shortly." His mouth went back to its
work.

A few minutes later, moaning and starting to feel his body go rigid, "Oh
Doctor you are correct it is happening." His body went rigid and there was
a massive release. Jeremy was breathing hard. His body literally collapsed
on the bed.

He looked at this amazing man. "Doctor, now I need to help you with your
obvious area of tension. It too is impressive."

"No, as the doctor, I know what I am doing. While I was giving you my
special technique, I was treating myself." He backed off the bed.
Timothy's right hand was moving rapidly and hard over his own area of
tension. He suddenly moaned, his eyes closed and there was yet another
massive release of tension all over Jeremy's body.

Jeremy's eyes were bright and his face had such a tender look. He had never
had an experience like this. In fact, his body did feel like a wilted
flower. He could only manage to grab his lover and pull him to himself and
kiss him.

"Doctor Malenfant, you are exactly what the doctor ordered for the tension
... and for my life. They cuddled until sleep came.
