"Ash, wake up."
"Mmph?"
"Ash, wake up. Mail's here. There's something for me."
I opened my eyes. I'd been dozing on the couch. Noah was stroking
my face, and caressing my goatee. I sat up straight, and rubbed my eyes.
In his free hand, Noah had a stack of mail. I imagined it had the usual
junk; bills, junk mail, and probably a reminder that it was time to get my
teeth cleaned.
"Open it up, then. But do so carefully." I sat him down beside
me, and Noah snuggled in.
Noah took the envelope, and carefully took the letter opener and
slid it along the flap. He opened it, and dumped a blue leather bound item
into his hand. It was a passport. Before leaving the cabin, we'd stopped
by the post office, and got the paperwork started for Noah's passport.
Mine was always kept in my office safe, and I always renewed it before it
expired.
"Wow! It looks so nice. It feels smooth. Look. My picture looks
nice too!"
I looked down at it. Noah was smiling. I examined the identifying
information, and it was correct. After he signed it, we placed it in my
safe so we knew where it was. Afterwards, I called Cyrus, and he arranged
our air travel. I was going to take Noah to Europe with me. It was almost
time to submit the next novel to my editor. Cyrus was able to get things
arranged so we could leave the next afternoon.
That night, we were able to pack. After a little bit of an early
lunch, we got into the truck and headed to the airport. Parking in the
long term parking lot, we walked to the terminal. We got our luggage
checked and stood in line to be screened. Noah pulled on my hand.
"Ash, are you sure air travel is safe? There's no way for the
plane to pull over if it breaks down."
"Relax, Noah. Everything is going to be fine. Science keeps the
plane up. I've taken this route many times. It'll be okay."
We stepped forward and handed our passports and boarding passes to
the TSA agent. He did a double take when he saw my name and picture. I
got that a lot. I think some people thought that I was a hermit somewhere,
cranking out my books.
We cleared through security without being fondled by TSA. Speaking
from experience, it always kind of tickles me. Having time before our
flight, I led Noah to an Executive Lounge. The person at the door made
sure I was a member and Noah and I were let in. Noah was staring at
everything. I steered him to the bar where we sat. The bartender was busy
making a drink for a passenger at the other end of the bar. I handed Noah
a list of drinks that he could order, and we waited for the bartender to be
free. Finally he sauntered up to me.
"So, here you are again," he said, leaning against the bar.
"Your face is here again," I said, extending my hand over the bar.
Slapping me five, the barman turned to Noah. He scrutinized him.
It looked as if he was analyzing as if it were important that each detail
be recorded and committed to memory. Finally, he spoke again.
"I do believe this kid is good enough to be your sidekick, Ashton."
"He's more than that. He's the Robin to my Batman"
"Your face is batty like Batman!" the bartender sneered.
"Hey, don't be hating just because I've got Bruce Wayne money, ya
poor excuse of a stupidman," I tossed back over the bar.
"It's Superman ya bum!"
"Your face isn't super at all. So your mom says, anyway!" I
jeered.
"How do you two know each other?" Noah asked, unable to watch this
friendly back and forth anymore.
"We went to high school together. He had a car, and was kind
enough to give me a ride here for my interview to work the bar here. I'm
Stan." Stan shook hands with Noah and smiled.
"Stan could have opened his own club with a full bar, but he likes
working here. The tips are great." I shook with Stan and a folded hundred
dollar bill passed from my hand to his.
"You...insult each other like that all the time?" Noah asked,
rather confused.
"Ever since ninth grade, my man. We walked to school together then
we rode to school together. Good friends." Stan smiled at Noah and
discreetly flipped me off.
"We have a love/hate relationship with each other," I explained.
"We love hating on each other. I think that's how such a thing works,
anyway."
"Now that the man has paid, I can work," Stan said. What can I get
you, young sir?"
Noah seemed pleased by being called young sir. He blushed and
smiled one his trademark smiles. He ordered chocolate milk, and I ordered
some ginger ale. Stan got our drinks, and also provided a bowl of pretzels
to munch on. We took turns telling stories about our shenanigans in
school. All too soon, it was time for us to head to the gate.
We were among the first to board. Cyrus had gotten us into first
class. Noah's face was pressed against the window, and didn't leave it
until the ground was far below. When all he could see were clouds, Noah
leaned against his comfortable seat.
"Wow. I think I like flying." I smiled because all his fears had
disappeared.
"I enjoy flying as well. I never get tired of the feeling of
flight." I spread a blanket across us. Under the blanket, our fingers
touched. We held hands. Noah squeezed my hand. I squeezed back.
Soon, the beverage cart had come and gone. Noah placed my hand on
his thigh. I looked at him, lust in my eyes. Knowing we couldn't, I shook
my head. However, I kept my hand on his thigh. He seemed okay with that.
We fell asleep as we flew over the Atlantic. In time, we landed in
London. Passing through customs, we stepped outside into the British air.
Hailing a cab, we went to our hotel. Dragging our suitcases behind us, we
went to the counter.
"Hi, we're checking in." I handed over my passport so the clerk
could verify the spelling and find my reservation. It was confirmed that
I'd reserved a suite with two beds. Handing over a Visa card, I paid for
the room. Noah was tired from the long journey, but was pretty excited
when he saw the room. Setting our suitcases on the bed, I watched him
bound around the room, examining all the things and treats. Finally, I
caught him up in my arms, and marched to the bathroom.
"Where are we going, Ash?" He scrambled, trying to free himself.
"Well, it seems that you wanted to join the mile high club! That's
not possible, so I'll get you naked anyway!" Saying this loudly over his
fake protestations, I kicked my shoes off, and worked my socks off.
Setting him down on the bathroom counter, I leaned in, and kissed him,
silencing his cries.
Moaning in pleasure as my lips met his soft gentle lips, I pushed
my pants and underwear down, freeing my hard cock. It throbbed in the cool
bathroom air. Breaking our kiss for only a moment, Noah pulled his shirt
off. I ran my hands over the twelve year old chest. Noah's chest was so
soft. So smooth. So deliriously sexy.
I reached down and unbuckled Noah's belt. As he pushed his pants
and underwear down to the floor and stepped out of them, I twiddled the
shower handles to get the water going. When the water was comfortable, we
stepped in. Noah hopped up, and wrapped his legs around me as he wrapped
his arms around my neck, and kissed me deeply.
Holding him under the hot cascading water, we kissed passionately,
and soon, I set Noah down on the shower floor. I ran my hands down his
shoulders and sides until I was cupping his soft ass. He moaned as I
massaged the cheeks. Since he was the right height, Noah turned his head
down a little, and began to kiss and gently bite my nipples.
Growling in lust and pleasure, I gently ran my nails down his back.
Noah moaned and shivered at the sensation. I grabbed the hotel supplied
shampoo, and massaged it into his hair. The hot water, lust, and
sensations of the scalp massaged resulted in Noah groaning even louder.
Rubbing his shoulders as the shampoo washed out I kissed him again. Soon,
I was on my knees, washing his chest and stomach, sucking on his rock hard
four inch uncut cock.
Rubbing lather all over his legs, I took one of his testicles into
my mouth, caressing it with my tongue. Grabbing my hair, Noah began
thrusting into my mouth when I began sucking his dick again. Moaning
pleasure, I grabbed his ass again to keep him steady. From his whimpers of
pleasure, I could tell he was close to orgasm.
Fondling his precious balls with their delicate treasure within, I
sucked him with even more fury as the hot water poured over us. All too
soon, he was crying out in ecstasy as he shuddered, having another dry
orgasm. I stood up, and held him stead against my body until he had come
down.
Smiling, he turned around, and wiggled his butt at me. Caressing
the pale bubble butt, I grabbed the conditioner, and applied some to my
cock that was demanding attention, and to his soft and tender boy hole.
Soon, I was slipping in and out of his ass with ease. My ball sack was
smacking against him. We were moaning in pleasure, the roar of the shower
drowning us out, the steam obscuring our vision.
"Oh, Ash, oh Ash, I love you, I love you inside me!" Noah panted
this as he tightened his as grip on my cock.
"Noah, baby, oh beautiful boy!" I panted as I keep thrusting into
him. I reached around and fondled his slick chest, pinching his nipples
gently and then I leaned forward and began sucking his neck. I kept
thrusting into him, my orgasm approaching. Noah was thrusting backwards to
meet my cock and have it buried as far as it could go.
All too soon, I was shivering in delight as my orgasm rolled over
me. I pulled my cock out, and stroked it while I shot my load. It landed
all over Noah's back, and was immediately washed away by the shower.
Holding him close to me for support as I came down, he turned and smiled at
me. He nestled close to me.
"I love you, Ash," he breathed.
"I love you too, Noah," I gently exhaled as I squeezed him close.
Soon, I turned off the shower, and I toweled us dry. Noah was
yawning as I led him back to the bedroom. I was tired as well. It'd been
a long day. The shower had relaxed us quite well. Noah pulled the covers
back from the bed, and climbed in. I was about to climb in after him when
I had a thought. I went to the door of our suite, and put on the "Do not
disturb" hanger. It wouldn't do to have housekeeping walk in on me
sleeping with a twelve year old.
I was awoken by Noah choking and gagging. Not on my cock, but on a
bottle of water. He hacked and spat and soon was looking at the bottle
that was in his hand with disgust. I groggily sat up, and watched as he
set the bottle on top of the mini-fridge. He frowned at it like it had
done him a grave disservice.
"Carbonated water? With no flavor? It's like a half assed soda!"
I realized what he had pulled out and taken a sip of. "It's
actually called sparkling water, Noah. Some people really like it. Why?
I don't know. It tastes disgusting to me." I got up, examined the bottles
in the fridge, and pulled out two bottles of still water. "This is what
you want to drink." I handed him a bottle and twisted the cap off my bottle
and drank.
I looked at the clock. It was a good time for dinner. Shuffling
over to our suitcases, I opened them and pulled out clothes that would be
suitable for dining in the hotel restaurant. We got dressed and went down
for dinner. When we came back up, our bellies were full from the good
meal. Stripping, we got naked and climbed into bed together. Before
sleeping, I called the hotel desk, and asked for a wake-up call at seven in
the morning.
I was already up, and had showered when the call came in. I shook
Noah's shoulder. He was still buried beneath the blankets. It took some
convincing, but I was able to rouse him and get him showered. He sat on
the edge of the bed as he dressed.
"Why are we up so early, Ash? We're on vacation, aren't we?"
"Kind of," I said, combing my hair. "We're here for vacation and
business both. You'll understand as time goes on. For now, let's go get
some breakfast."
We took the elevator down to the lobby floor and I arranged for a
taxi to be waiting for us after we finished eating. When we finished, we
left the hotel and entered the taxi that was idling and waiting for us. I
gave the driver directions, and we were off. The driver took the scenic
route, and Noah stared at everything in sight. Soon, we were let out at
the corner of a street. I handed the driver some money, and I led Noah
down the street.
"Where are we going, Ash?" Noah wondered, puzzled. I had yet to
inform him of our destination.
"We're going to get the next Thomas Halberd novel," I said. "Years
ago when I began writing, I could crank out six books a year when I stopped
working for a living. I didn't publish six books a year. One book a year
was enough. When I saw how popular they were going to be, I made plans to
keep safe the future novels."
I stopped in front a building. It was a bank. I opened the door
and stood in the lobby for a moment before approaching the desk of the
receptionist. She was dressed as if she catered to the very wealthy. In
comparison, Noah and I were dressed in jeans and tee shirts. We certainly
didn't look like we belonged in the very expensive building. The
receptionist looked up.
"I'm sorry, we don't cater to...tourists." She paused before she
finished, looking with some disdain at one of Noah's untied shoes, our
baggy shirts, and windblown hair. We had rolled the windows in the taxi
down for the breeze.
"Marla! These people are our guests!"
A tall blonde man in a gray suit was stepping out of the elevator.
He took some strides, and soon was shaking my hand. He flashed his teeth
in a friendly manner. He was Nigel Smyth, and he handled my accounts in
this bank.
"Nigel, good to see you again," I said.
"Who do we have here, Mister Ridgeway?" he asked, shaking Noah's
hand.
Placing my hands on Noah's shoulders, I said "This is Noah DuPont.
He's with me. He'll go where we're going."
"To the vault then," Nigel exclaimed leading the way. "Follow me,
young Mister DuPont."
Noah fell in behind me, mumbling repeatedly "young Mister DuPont"
over and over. I could tell he sort of had mixed feelings about that. I
wondered what would have to happen to change how he felt about his name. I
would ponder this later.
We arrived in the vault, and I produced my key. Nigel produced
his, and we turned them simultaneously. I always had to suppress a giggle
when I did this. I felt like I was in a movie, and authorizing a nuclear
missile launch. Nigel opened the safe deposit box door, and I reached in
and pulled out the box.
Escorting us to the privacy booth, Nigel left us alone. Noah sat
beside me at the table, quite curious to see what was going on. I placed
my hand on the still closed box. I looked at him and smiled.
"When I began to be successful, people were...quite anxious to get
their hands on the next book, even if it wasn't fully written yet. I was
able to write all the books, and save them, onto a thumb drive. Then I
began some Nicolas Cage National Treasure treasure chase to try and secure
the futures of my novels. I thought it was a good idea after some people
broke in. So, this is the first stop."
I swiveled the box towards Noah. He carefully lifted the lid a few
inches and peered inside. Puzzled, he flipped the lid fully open and
stared inside. He turned it back to me. It was empty. I smiled at his
puzzlement.
Reaching inside, I ran my hand through the entirety of the box. I
carefully found the hidden panel, opened it, and a small key fell into my
hand. I carefully placed it on the table. Noah looked at me as if I was
Houdini, back from the grave. I smiled again and closed the box. Dropping
the key into my pocket, I rang the bell that signaled that I was finished.
Back at the hotel, I took the key and slipped it into the spine of
a book I'd brought with me. I placed it back in my suitcase, and began
packing our things. The next morning, Noah and I were heading to France.
Noah sat on the bed, watching me, frowning and thinking and trying to
puzzle everything out.
"So...That's a key...to another safe deposit box at another bank.
So...we'll follow a trail of keys until we reach a box that has your
books?" Noah said this thoughtfully as he tapped his chin.
"You're a smart kid. It's why I love you so much. Plus, you're
freaking cute." I closed the suitcase and stretched out on the bed.
"Aw, you love my mind. I'm going to blush! I thought you just
wanted me for my body!" He pretended to hide his face and blush.
I pulled him down and kissed him. I murmured in his ear that I
wanted his body. Later, when we were naked and spent, he asked me why we
were travelling so quickly and couldn't spend months in Europe instead of a
week or so.
"Well," I said, stroking his smooth back. "I have to review the
next book so I can sound smart about it when talk to my publisher and
editor about it. They'll get the press releases going and so on. Plus,
you have school starting. Also, there's the final hearing about me getting
permanent custody of you. Also also, Doctor Klinger wants to fix your
foot."
"I suppose you make some sense. It will be nice, missing the first
few weeks of gym with a doctor's note." Noah murmured this drowsily.
"I try. We have an early start tomorrow. We'll be going to France
tomorrow" I closed my eyes and enjoyed the naked twelve year old beauty
that was cuddling me.
On it went. We traveled to a few European countries. We saw some
famous landmarks, but always visited banks, each box holding a key that
would unlock the next. The map was in my head. Finally we got to
Switzerland. It was our final destination. Inside the final safe deposit
box was a flash drive. It didn't have much memory compared to what was
being made today, but it had enough for the novels. I reached into my
shoulder bag, and pulled out my laptop. Soon, I had copied the next novel
over to my laptop. We put everything back, and headed out.
...
A week after we arrived back home, Noah and I were sitting in a
waiting room in the hospital. He had been prepped for his operation, and
was wearing just a hospital gown. Sitting on my lap, he pressed his face
into my chest. If he hadn't been so scared, I would've had a raging hard
on. Instead, I was flaccid, and was holding him close to comfort him.
"Tell me it'll be okay, Ash." Noah's voice was small, and had a
little fear in it.
"It'll be okay, Noah baby. You'll fall asleep, the doctors will
fix your foot, and I'll be there beside you when you wake up. I promise."
I kissed his forehead.
"Thanks, Ash. Since my father attacked us, I've had a fear of
hospitals."
"I know. But things will be much better this time around. As soon
as you're released, we'll go back to the house, and you can rest and
recover there."
A knock interrupted us. A nurse appeared; ready to take Noah into
the operating room. We hugged, and kissed each other on the cheek, and
Noah was led away. I knew that what would happen would be an operation
that would last for many hours. There was also no point in worrying about
would happen to him. I would wait and pass the time in the hospital until
I was notified I could be by his bedside.
I picked up the case that was on the floor by my feet. I snapped
open the latches and inside was my Xbox One and there was a television
screen built into the lid. Plugging everything in, I loaded up Skyrim. As
usual, I waited for the song of the Dragonborn to be sung before loading my
last save. Some lyrics flashed in my mind, relating to Noah and his
operation and upcoming custody hearing. I began playing as these words
rolled around in my head.
Dragonborn, Dragonborn, by his honor is sworn
To keep evil forever at bay!
And the fiercest foes rout when they hear triumph's shout,
Dragonborn, for your blessing we pray!
So, there we go, Chapter IX. I'm sorry it took so long. Life did
its thing, and there's a reason life is a four letter word. I was in a
funk for a few weeks after a major heartbreak and didn't feel like writing.
