CAMP STAFF MEMORIES - CHAPTER 36
We swam for a while and kissed most of the time. I felt as if my
tongue would never be happy unless it was wrestling with his. I could not
get enough of the feel of his plump, warm lips on mine. I don't know how
long we swam, but my fingers were pruned by the time we got out of the
water.
It was about 2:30 and we decided to go exploring. Suddenly I did not
want to just sit around the house. I knew if we stayed there, we would end
up having sex all afternoon and for some reason I was a little bothered by
this. I felt an attraction to Ethan that made me a little uncomfortable in
its intensity. Whenever he looked into my eyes, I could see something in
him I never saw in anyone else and it scared me. It was as if he could see
my very soul and I felt totally vulnerable. I thought if we got out of the
house, maybe the spell would break.
We found some bikes in the garage downstairs and set off down the
dirt road. We headed southwest and Ethan seemed to know where he was
going, so I did not worry too much. He led us on a series of cart paths
until we finally emerged onto a tall bluff, overlooking the ocean to the
west of the island. There was a small meadow on top of a tall cliff. The
waves crashed against the walls of the cliff where they fell away into the
ocean. It was a spectacular view.
We sat on the grass looking out to the west and talked. I learned a
lot about Ethan. He had had a rough life. His father threw him out of the
house at 14 when he caught him in bed with his boyfriend. Ethan got
involved with a shady modeling agency that turned out to be more of an
escort agency. Ethan spent several months in debt to his boss and was
forced to escort for older Greek businessmen. Some of them treated him
well, but some were downright abusive. He met Luca at a diplomatic ball.
Ethan had been there "on the arm" of an Italian diplomat. Luca rescued him
from the escort agency by paying off his debt and setting him up with a
legitimate modeling agency.
Ethan said he is forever in Luca's debt and there is so much more to
him than meets the eye. He hoped I knew how lucky I was.
"And I hope Luca knows how lucky he is, Sam," he said. "I would not
want to do anything to hurt Luca, but you are irresistible to me. I can
not stop thinking about you."
I did not know what to say. "I think you amazing, too, Ethan," I
started. "I have to confess that there is something more about you that I
find irresistible as well."
There was a moment of awkward silence when neither of us knew what to
say.
I finally broke the silence, "Luca and I have an open relationship.
We are not committed to each other exclusively. We understand that our
lives are different and have pledged to be honest with one another. I love
him, and he loves me. For now, that is what we have."
"You two are very lucky. I have never been in love. I'm not sure
what it is I feel for you, Sam, but I would never presume to move in on
Luca. It seems all that I can think about since you arrived is you. We
should agree to keep our distance, maybe, so I do not get out of control."
"But what if I don't want to keep my distance," I said, surprising
even myself. I reached over and took Ethan's hand in mine. "Let's just
enjoy whatever we have. I will be leaving soon anyway."
Ethan looked up at me with his amazing deep green eyes and we kissed
and held each other for a while. My mind raced against the feelings I was
experiencing. I was reluctant to admit that I felt a connection to Ethan
deeper than anyone I have ever met, except for Luca. That realization
caused me to pull back.
Luckily, at that moment we heard the sound of a boat engine on the
water below the bluff. I got up and walked over to the edge, peering down
as a small speed boat bounced across the waves, heading south around the
island.
"That looks like Luca," I said, a little surprised.
"I think it is," said Ethan, and I felt his hand grasp mine, and felt
perfectly natural.
"That's funny," I said, "He said he was going to the vineyard and I
thought that was on the south side of the island."
"Maybe he had some business on the main island," Ethan replied.
"Yeah," I said, "Maybe. Let's head back. I'm hungry. Are you?"
"I am famished," he said. I leaned over and kissed him, and then
found myself wrapping my arms around his slender body and relishing the
embrace as we hugged each other.
We finally got on the bikes and retraced our path back to the house.
We arrived back at the house around 5:30. Climbing the stairs up to the
second level, we found Leon, Stam, and Todd sitting out on the patio. All
three were naked and wet, lying on lounge chairs and sipping beer.
I pulled Ethan up short, before anyone saw us. We stood in the
kitchen and kissed. My hands ran over his body and up under his shirt,
soaking in the feeling over his perfect smooth skin. The kissing got more
intense and Ethan lifted my shirt over my head.
I forced myself to stop, knowing where we were headed and reluctant
to go there right now. "Ethan, I can't do this right now," I said. "I
mean I want to more than anything, not here."
"I want to make love with you again," he whispered. "You are leaving
tomorrow."
"I know. We'll find a time. But not now," I said, reaching out and
caressing his bare stomach again.
"Dude, I'm going to go shower," I said, and Ethan grinned
mischievously. "By myself!"
I went up to our suite, tore off my shorts and jumped into the cool
water of the pool. I let the coolness invade me and calm me, as my erection
subsided.
"Fuck!" I thought. "What the hell is going on? Is it possible to be
in love with two boys at the same time?"
I was only by myself for a few minutes when the door opened and my
heart melted. Luca stood there, in only a pair of shorts, looking so
amazing.
"God, I missed you," I said, "Get your ass in here."
He dropped the shorts and jumped in the pool. I swam right to him,
barely giving him time to surface and breath. I jumped on him and wrapped
my arms and legs around him, planting my lips firmly on his and kissing him
hard. I did not know where this sudden rush of feelings came from, whether
it was guilt over Ethan or a true realization that I loved Luca more than
anyone in the whole world.
"Wow!" exclaimed Luca when I finally gave him a chance. "I was only
gone a few hours."
"I know," I said, "I told you I didn't know if I could stand being
away from you."
"What did you do all afternoon, lay around and pine for me?"
"Ha!" I chuckled, "Not quite. I hung out with Ethan most of the
afternoon. We...uh...messed around a little, and then went for a bike
ride."
"I hope sweet Ethan is not stealing you away from me," he said. It
was in jest, but I failed to hide the worry on my face before he noticed.
      "Sam, what's wrong?"
      "I...uh...nothing, I guess."
"Sweetie," he said, taking my face in his hands and forcing me to
look at him. "Ethan is very special. He has an amazing heart and wears it
openly. I told you that we are OK. I do not mind. Do you believe me?"
I tried to hold back my tears, but was unsuccessful. "Oh Luca, I
feel so guilty. I didn't mean to but my feelings for Ethan are stronger
than I expected and I felt as if I was betraying you. I love YOU!"
"Sam, Sam," he said, gently pulling me to him and embracing me in the
cool water. "Sam, I love you more than I have ever loved anyone. If you
and Ethan have made a connection, that is wonderful. He is a beautiful
person. Are you in love with him?"
"No," I said, looking into Luca's eyes, "He is very special, and I
definitely feel a connection to him. But I can't compare that to what I
feel for you. I guess I did not realize that until right now. I was
scared I had gone too far."
We hugged and caressed each other. "Oh, Luca, how the fuck am I am
ever going to be able to live without you. I will be miserable every
second I am away from you."
I tried to stop it, but the tears just came and I held Luca close and
cried. He said nothing, but just held me, making me feel safe and content.
Finally, I got control. "Maybe I could just drop out of school and
come here with you. I could always get a GED later," I said.
"No," Luca replied, "You have to live your life. You must finish
school and you have to pursue your own dreams. We both do. We need to fit
each other into our lives, not fit our lives into each other. It is the
only way we can survive."
"OK," I said, "But maybe I can graduate early. And maybe I can find
a way to study abroad and be close to you. There has to be a way."
"Maybe," he said, "But let's see where fate leads us, OK? Let's not
waste the time we have."
"Ethan is right. I am very lucky to found you."
"And did wise, sexy Ethan also say I was lucky?" Luca asked, with a
smile.
"As a matter of fact, he did," I replied and kissed Luca.
