Chapter 5

We laid there watching TV for a while.  I decided that I need to talk with
him about a few things.  I turned off the TV and Chris turned towards me
with a quizzical look on his face.

"Baby we need to talk." I said.  He looked scared as if I was going to break
up with him.  I DON'T think so, he just nodded his head.   "Baby I am
worried about you going to school.  After what has happened.  If your mom
agrees I would like to help try and pay for you to go to a private school."
I said looking deep into his blue eyes.  He just looked at me and I soon saw
tears rolling down his face as he bit his lower lip.

"I love you Trey...I REALLY REALLY love you.  I don't think I would want to
go to a private school.  I want to try and stick out going to a public one.
I'm crying because I now realize how much you love me.  I knew you loved me
but to give my mom money to make sure I am safe..Baby that is the sweetest
thing anyone has EVER done for me." he said looking deep into my eyes.

We keep staring at each other and slowly our faces got closer and closer.  I
closed my eyes about the same time he did and we slowly kissed each other.
God Chris lips feel SO good against mine.  I love him SO much.  We broke the
kiss and I continued.

"I know you want to stay at a public school I am just worried about what
could happen." I said wrapping my arms around him.  He smiled at me then
kissed me once more.

About 3:30 Chris's mom showed up.  She came down to the family room and saw
Chris laying there asleep watching TV.

"He looks sweet laying like that.  I don't mean to pry but last night you
two didn't...." she let the sentence trail off.  I laughed and shook my
head.

"No we didn't as I told you before we want the first time to be special.  We
just held each other all night." she smiled and sighed a little sigh of
relieve. "So what happened today?" I asked scared but wanting to know.  She
looked at me with a little smile.  I could tell she was not completely
happy.

"Well the principle said he really couldn't do much.  He said if Chris
wouldn't flaunt being gay then things wouldn't happen as they did.  Well I
yelled and asked him who in the HELL he thought he was.  I told him exactly
what happened, letting him know that Chris did NOT flaunt his sexuality that
that Brian kid found out about him and that he is the one starting all of
this.  Well at first he didn't want to believe me.  I said fine, then I
pulled out a recording of the night that the fighting took place and he
clearly heard Brian's voice.  He went pale for a minute turns out that Brian
is his nephew.

Well when I heard that I went ALL out on him.  I told him I was calling the
school board and to let them know what he was doing, then I was calling my
lawyer about what he said.  I got up to leave and pulled my cell phone out.
By the time I was out the door I was on the phone with the local school
board, as it turns out this is NOT the first time that he has tried to
protect his nephew.  The super attendant asked me to come down to her office
so she may hear the tape and I did just that.

I got there and when I was able to see her I told her the situation.  NOT
all of it just that my son was gay one of the boys found out, Brian of
course, then Brian beat up on Chris.  I let her hear the tape and she was
less then pleased.  Well she called the principle of the school and had him
come over.  By the time he was there my lawyer was there and when the
principle saw me and my attorney he went white.  The super attendant asked
him what in the HELL he thought he was doing.

That jerk made up some lame ass excuse that NO ONE bought.  Saying that
Chris was flaunting his sexuality.  Well Mrs. Fox (the super attendant) just
looked at him like he was nuts, saying that he was lying and she could tell,
that he was protecting his nephew.  Needless to say with in the next hour
Brian's parents were there as well.  They heard the tape and when they found
out that Mr. Bowers (the principle, Brains fathers brother) was protecting
him they were less then happy.  Turns out that Brian's father already told
his brother NOT to protect his son and treat him the same as other kids.
Mr. Bowers just sank in his seat.

My attorney made the comment that this was grounds for a suit against the
school and against both the principle and Brian's parents.  What surprised
me was that everyone agreed it was.  I told them I didn't want a suit I just
wanted my son to be treated the same and to be protected.  Everyone agreed
to this.  Well the principle had two things he could do, One: he could be
fired for what he did or Two: he could suspend Brian and start treating him
like any other student he agreed.

Me, Brian's parents, the super attendant, and the principle all went back
over to the school.  Brain was called to the office when he saw his parents
then me he looked kinda scared but still had this I beat y'all look on his
face.  Here I will let you hear what was said I copied it.  I told everyone
I was going to do that and they agreed.

Principle: Brian do you know why you were called in here today?

Brian: Ummm...No sir.

Principle: Well it has come to our attention that you or some of your
friends beat up a young man the other day after you told everyone that he
was gay.  Is this true?

Brian: NO SIR, we didn't even touch Chris

Super attendant: How did you know we were talking about a boy named Chris?

Brian: Umm...Umm his mom is here" you could clearly hear he was trying to
make up an excuse.

Super attendant: Well how do you know she is not here on other matters.
Young man you are lying and we can all see it.  We already know you did the
crime.

Brian: Who are you any ways lady" you could hear Brian getting pissed more
and more.

Super attendant: me I am the super attendant of the school young man and I
suggest you curb that attitude before I ex spell you.

Brian: Yeah alright I did it but the little faggot deserved it.  Him and his
boyfriend.

Brian's Mom: BRIAN if I EVER hear you say that again you will NEVER get off
restriction DO I MAKE MY SELF CLEAR and DON'T think that that poor excuse
for an uncle can save you now.  We already KNOW he has been protecting you,
well guess what IT STOP NOW.

Brain starts to cry: Yessss...mamma

Brian's Father: Son stop your crying it isn't going to work this time.  We
have told you before that just because your uncle worked here that you
couldn't be bulling anyone.  Well you went to far.  Chris's mom here wants
to sue us and the school.  Well lets see that would destroy our business
your uncle would have to quite and probably NEVER get a job in the school
system again, and your mother and I will probably have to move out of state.
  Do you want that?

Brian: No sir

Brian's Dad: Good then this is what is going to happen.  You are going to go
back to your class and get your books.  ALL of them, because as of now you
are suspended until next Monday after next week, during that time you will
be studying and since you won't know what you are going to be learning you
may fail your school year.  If you do that means summer school and no
vacation this year.

Brian: Yes sir

Brian's Mom: OH son one last thing, you are grounded till the end of the
month, which means no TV, no stereo, no play station, no phone, or computer
and you are going to apologize to Mrs. Davis right now and when you get home
you are going to write an apology letter to Chris, I will see it before you
mail it and I will be the one to mail it to make sure it gets to him, and
son if it is not sincere then you will write another one until you are
sincere and every time that it isn't right you will have another day added
to your grounding.  Is THAT clear to you young man.

Brian: Yes mom....Ummm..Mrs. Davis I am sorry for hurting Chris and calling
him names.  I won't ever do it again.  I hope you will forgive me and I hope
Chris does too.

Mrs. Davis: Thank you Brian, apology accepted but it will take time to
forgive you, I will eventually but not yet.  As for Chris I don't know if he
will take your apology or not, we will have to wait and see."

Mrs. Davis turned off the tape.

"Well that is it.  I hope things go good." she said

"I will accept his apology mom" said Chris from the couch.  We turned and
saw him with tears in his eyes.  I approached him and got down on my knees
in front of him.  Chris just looked at me and smiled and in front of his mom
we kissed.

"Thank you" was all he said.  I didn't say anything I knew he didn't want me
to, his eyes said it all.

Mrs. Davis , Chris and myself all talked till my parents got home.  We told
them about what all happened and they heard the tape.  They were glad that
things turned out good for Chris, and they hopped me and him would be happy
together.  We looked at each other and smiled nodding our heads saying we
would be.
