Authors Note: In memory of Tim, who is with the angels watching over us.  I
actually wrote the first chapter awhile back for Tim. He got to read it and
he liked it.  Well before I got chapter 2 done he past on. And I stopped
working on it, until recently. Although I used Tim's name in this story, it
is still a fictional story. God bless you Tim, at least you're not in pain
any more. We miss you. Also in memory of a great friend, whom we lost to
depression this year. My prays are with you Shadow, I hope you are in a
better place.




Recap: A man, Adam, and a boy, Tim, met on top of a cliff. They were there
to kill themselves for one reason or another. They went back to Adam's
house, where they fell asleep. Then Tim woke up Adam and said he heard
something, which turned out to be Adam's dad, Don. They went and ate, then
Adam told Don that he was going to kill himself and why. After talking it
was decided to they would talk to a lawyer friend of Don's, which they did
and now are waiting.



After playing games and watching TV everyone decided it was time for bed.
So Josh bid farewell and reminded Adam to have to program done in a
week. But really if problems persisted then Josh could finish it and let
Adam look it over before using it. Then it was Don's turn to leave. He gave
both Adam and Tim a hug goodnight before taking his leave. So now it was
just the two of them. They each took turns in the bathroom to get ready for
bed. Tim first and by the time Adam got out Tim was already in Adam's bed
and under the covers. Tim looked to be already asleep so Adam turned off
the light and got into bed as easily as possible. After a few minutes of
laying there Tim turned toward Adam.

"Adam?" Tim whispered.

"Yeah." Adam replied.

"W-would you hold me? Please!" Tim asked still just above a whisper.

Adam put his arm over Tim and pulled him into himself. Adam felt Tim
shudder and sniff like we might be crying. So he said, "Hey there, what's
this about? Are you crying?"

Tim gave another sniff and shudder and said, "I-i'm sorry. I'm just
scared."

"I know buddy. But don't worry, everything will turn out all right. Bill
will see to that."  Adam says while give Tim a stronger hug. "We'll just
stay here and let Bill do his job and in the end your aunt will either give
custody over or be in big trouble.  Then we'll put that in the past and get
on with our lives. OK?"

"OK." Tim says meekly. And after about 30 seconds reaches up and gives Adam
a kiss on the lips.  He let his lips linger and Adam started to kiss
back. They kiss for maybe 5 seconds but boy did it seem like forever. Adam
was the one who finally pulled back.

"Tim, I-I don't think we should do this," Adam started to say but before he
could continue Tim pulled away and started crying again.

"Why? Don't you like me?" Tim asked.

"Of course I do, I like you. Hell I love you kiddo." Adam says while
pulling Tim back into a hug, "It's just with everything that's going on, I
don't think we should do anything. When all this is over and you still want
to do something then we'll see about it OK. I don't want to hurt you and I
don't want to give anyone a reason to take you away from me.  OK? Do you
understand what I mean?"

"Yeah, I guess so. But nobody would know, I wouldn't tell anyone. Can't we
do anything?" Tim asked.

Adam smiled at what Tim said, but he still knew he couldn't do anything, at
least not just yet.  "Tim I know that you want to and I want to, but for
now we just can't. If we get started on something, we might not be able to
stop you know." Tim mad a sad noise so Adam gave him another hug and says,
"How about for now all we do is give simple kisses. That way we won't go
farther and we show that we care. OK? That's all until this thing is behind
us."

"OK. I guess that'll have to do." Tim says and then gives Adam a few simple
kisses, which is returned. "Goodnight Adam."

"Goodnight Tim, I love you." Adam replies.

"Love you too." Tim says sleeply and before you know it he was asleep.

Adam laid there thinking about everything that has happen over the past few
days. He just couldn't believe that's happened. It seems so much like a
dream, but if it was he doesn't won't to wake up. "I just hope that Bill
can pull this off for us." Adam thinks to himself, "Cause if he don't I
just don't know what we'd do." After a few more minutes of lying awake,
Adam finally gives Tim's another kiss on his head and goes to sleep
himself.

It wasn't till a few days later that they heard some good news from Bill.
They had met Bill the next day, but all he had then was that Beth hadn't
reported him missing yet. So they decided to wait and see if Bill could get
anything on her before they made definent plans on how to get custody of
Tim. So between then and now, Adam introduced Tim to his friends online and
even got him signed up to some boards for boylovers and gay youths. Tim
made fast friends online and started chatting to other kids and a few
adults. Adam got out his laptop to let Tim chat while he got working on the
program to hand in to Josh. They also had dinner each night with Don and
watched a few movies too. It was actually a suprise that Bill had called
cause it was almost 8 at night and Adam, Tim, and Don were haveing pizza
when the phone rang.

"Hello." Adam says after picking up the phone.

"Hello, Adam?" Bill asks making sure it was him.

"Yeah, hey Bill." Adam says knowing who it was. "What's up, something good
I hope."

"Hehe, you tell me." Bill says and explains what's he learned so far.
"Apparently when Tim's parents died, they left him a good size trust fund
along with a big insurance payout that went into the trust too. It's been
paying Beth so much a month plus some expenses that see's claimed.  It took
some doing but I found out what the expenses were and I believe she's been
stealing money from the trust. She also has been getting money through
welfare for Tim too, even though she shouldn't be qualified to since she
gets enough money through the trust.  So in other words she's been stealing
from the goverment too. Hehe. Are you with me so far?"

"Yeah, so she's a caniving bitch." Adam says, "I can't believe she'd do all
this. So what do we do now?"

"Well as I see it, you can either use this info and blackmail her into
signing over her rights.  Or we could try and buy her out since she seems
to like money. Both of which you didn't hear me say." Bill says, "Or we
could always goto someone with authority and turn everything over and then
petition the court for custody. But to do that then we'd have to turn over
Tim now and might not get him back. I say we leave that as a last
resort. So what do you think?"

"I'm not really sure what we should do. I'll have to talk it over with Tim
and my dad and see what they think." Adam says, "Is there anything else
that could possibly work or anything else I should know?"

"Well I think what we should do first is get Tim to call her and record
what they say." Bill says, "Hopefully she'll say some stuff that we can
use. We need to do it from a pay phone too.  And get to ask if he can come
home or at least get some stuff, hopefully she'll refuse and that'll more
against her later. In the mean time, I'll see about getting you certified
for being a foster parent, if not on an emergency basis and maybe find a
case worker who'll help us. I think I know someone who knows one. I let you
know about that tomorrow.  But for now just hold on. I do suggest that we
only keep Tim a secret 2 or 3 more days at the most or we'll get in trouble
too, if we don't already."

"I can't thank you enough Bill." Adam said.

"No problem just wait till you get my bill." Bill jokes.

"Whatever it is I'll gladly pay it." Adam says seriously.

"How about I charge you half for the expenses, I know this is all for Tim
so I'm not charging my time." Bill says, "You just take care and I'll talk
to you tomorrow.  Bye."

"I will and thanks again. Bye." Adam replies.

Both Tim and Don had heard Adam side of the conversation and wanted to know
what was going on, so Adam explained what Bill had said and asked what they
thought they should do. They didn't know what to do either.

"Tim, did you know about your aunt getting money for you?" Adam asked.

"No, not really. I knew she got something from welfare, but nothing about
what my parents left me." Tim replied.

"Hmm, Well I think we should do what Bill said about recording a
conversation between you and her.  I see about getting that done tomorrow."
Adam says, "I should be able to get what we need from Justin or at least
he'll know where to get it." Adam chuckles while Don and Tim just looks at
him curiously. "Him and a few of his buddys used to record prank calls and
put them online. So hopefully he'll have the equipment still."

"Cool." Tim says, "But I wonder how much my folks left me."

"I don't know, Bill didn't say." Adam says, "But you don't have to worry
about that. I'll take care of you and we'll make sure she doesn't get
another penny of it."

Tim gives Adam a hug, "Thanks, for everything." Adam returns the hug and
looks over at his dad who just gave them a smile.

"Well how about we go get some ice cream and doughnuts?" Don asks.

Tim looked over at Don and then went over and gave him a hug to which was
returned. "Thank you too for helping and understanding." Tim says.

"Not a problem kiddo." Don says, "You're part of the family now and we take
care of each other and help out when needed."

Tim gave Don another squeeze before letting go. They all went out for ice
cream and Don got some doughnuts too. They went back to Adam's house but
Don decided to call it a night and headed off to his home. Adam and Tim
pretty much repeated what they did every night. They got ready for bed and
gave each other a few simple kisses and went to sleep. Tim wanted to do
more but Adam wouldn't let him. He knew they had to wait. They fell asleep
holding each other and both had good dreams.

After they woke up, Adam decided to update his online friends on what's
going on and what they know so far. Then he gave Josh a call and found out
Josh still had the stuff they needed and would drop it off in a few hours
and pick up the program Adam was working on since it got done just the day
before. Adam also called Bill and his dad to let them know that he was
getting the stuff needed and would get Tim to call his aunt later that
day. Bill told him to go ahead and be careful not to give any info to
her. Don wished them luck and said he'd see them that night.

And so the morning went on and both Tim and Adam were very nervous. Josh
dropped off the equipment and explained how to work it, which was more
simpler then it looked. He got the program he wanted and left. It finally
came time for Tim to call and so they went and found a payphone they could
use, which was one by a Waffle House. They set the stuff up to record and
then Tim called.

After a few rings someone picked up and said, "Hello." It was Aunt Beth.

"Hello, Aunt Beth. It's me Tim......" Tim says meekly.
