" Ok I get you and Gary are brothers but why are you living here with
Mr. Dickworth" Dale spoke not realizing he had used the nickname that some
of the kids in school used for Jimmy. Everyone burst into laughter leaving
Dale looking around like everyone had lost their minds then it dawned on
him what he had said an he turned bright crimson red in the face. " I am
sorry Mr. Duckworth I didnt mean to say that.

"Don't sweat it I know what the kids in school call me." Jimmy said between
laughing an gasping for breath. " I guess since you are gonna be hanging
around here with Davey a lot I have something you should know but you have
to swear to keep it secret."

" Sure Mr. Duckworth you can count on me." Dale answered him

" Well the reason Davey an his mom are staying here along with Mikeis this
is mine an Gary's home. Gary an I are partners as in lovers." Jimmy
explained

"Wow," Dale exclaimed this is not what he expected. He thought of all the
girls at school an all the broken hearts there would be if they only
knew. " you don't have to worry about me Mr. Duckworth, I have a gay uncle
an he has to keep it under wraps too because of his job but he has a life
partner also." Dale told Jimmy an Gary. " I afraid tho I must be getting
home now tho I told the rents I wouldn't be gone long but had to see my
best bud for a few minutes. Mike you take care of my bud." Dale spoke to
Michael as he hugged him an his best friend good bye. Davey walked out with
his friend.

"Man you like older men or something ?" Dale joked as the two walked out
into the night.

"Yea or something." Davey grinned as he answered. "Hey you coming over
tomorrow we can ride a while?" Davey asked as they shared one lasy hug.

"Yea I will try to get over after lunch. I am just so glad you are ok Davey
I have been so worried about you. Don't ever scare me like this again. I
love you my friend never forget one for all an all for one. Dale said as he
got on his bike an rode away.


Chapter 10


The second week of July found Davey getting ready for his first PowWow
since the crap with Carl had started. Davey was all excited he had been
chosento lead the parade into the arena, which to anyone involved in the
PowWow was a great honor.

" Mike can you braid my hair please and put my beads in?" Davey asked as he
entered the room dressed in his full Indian regalia.

"Oh My God Baby you look so good in your outfit!. Mike exclaimed

"it is not an outfit it is a regalia." Davey corrected him.

"whatever it is sweetie makes you the sexiest guy in the PowWow." Mike
returned "here sit down here in front of me and I will do your hair." Mike
told him patting the footstool in front of the chair he was sitting in.

"Damn I wish he was eighteen already." Mike thought to himself. " he is so
sexy dressed like that, my little indian brave."

"I will still have to put all Lady Linda's stuff on her when we get to the
grounds. If I do it now we will never get her in the trailor." davey said
as he kissed Mikey before sitting down. " It is if she knows when she gets
the stuff on she is gonna be parading an she gets excited as I do." He
continued.

"You an her will be the hit of the parade today baby. You Look so sexy I
could just eat you up." Mikey whispered in his ear.

"then why won't you make love to me then if I am so sexy? Davey asked
looking back at his lover.

"You know the answer to that babe, not only would it be illegal but would
you want to lie to your mom or Mammaw Baylor." Mikey answered him holding

back in the room carrying his cup of coffee.

sip of his coffee.

"Just trying to get this wiggle worm to sit still long enough for me to
braid his hair. Mike laughed

"Well I could sit on him." Gary joked making out like he was gonna sit on
his brother.

whats wrong is Jimmy not giving you enough." Davey came back with a grim on
his face.

laughter at the playful banter between them. " I got your saddle dressed an
loaded an the trailor hooked up ready to go all we have to do is Load the
grand Lady herself but I will leave that to you since she seems to obey you
better." Gary told Davey.

"Where's Jimmy at?" Davey asked.

"He is gone to get your mom an Sister Baylor. He is gonna take them on to
the arena since we all can't fit in the truck." Gary answered. " I am gonna
go get dressed while you guys finish here then we can load the horses an
take off." he finished getting up to leave the room to get dressed.

"So how does it feel to be Chief for a day baby?" Mike asked

"It is the greatest honor one can have bestowed on them in the parade."
davey answered with pride. " It is not something anyone takes lightly, as
we represent the whole choctaw nation.." he continued. " This is my first
time to be lead in the parade." He said proudly.

"Oh baby I am so proud of you an I know you will do a fantastic job." Mike
returned hugging his young lover to him as he put the last bead in his hair
an tied it off. "Ok babe all finished an you look hot even if i do say so
myself." He said proudly of his boy who now stood before him. " I love you
so much babyboy" Mike said gently pulling Davey into a tight embrace an

In the car with Jim Marilyn an Sister Baylor an Jim were discussing what to
do for Davey's birthday on the 29th of July.

"I think we should do a surprise party if we can." Jim suggested

" I agree with that idea." Marilyn added " I was thinking about maybe
having it at the new house since we plan on moving in there next week." she
continued

"I think thats a great idea." Jim agreed. " But what do we get him for
gifts?" Jim asked

"I know what my gift for him is." Sister Baylor spoke. " I am buying him a
new guitar."

"Sister Baylor, he will love that but you shouldn't spend that much money
on him." Marilyn said " I wanted to get him something nice but really have
no idea this year what in the world to get him an he hasn't been dropping
any hints like he normally does with everrything that has been happening I
am even wondering if he realizes his birthday is so near."

"With all that baby has been thru we need to make this a very special
birthday for him." Lesa Baylor added "That's why I am getting him a new
guitar. I know Mike has something special planned for his gift but not sure
what it is yet."

"Gary an I want to take him an Mike to Florida for a couple weeks you know
we have that condo there an we hardly use it so we thought taking the boys
there on vacation would be a nice gift." Jim told them what he an Gary had
planned.

"I have no idea what to get him." Marilyn said wondering what she could
get. "Oh well she thought to herself it is two weeks away so I have time
maybe Davey would drop a hint.

"I think the guys would really love a trip to florida." Lesa said. "Heck
even I would love that trip." she laughed

"Are we going back to the house before going to the arena?" Marilyn asked

" No the guys are meeting us at the gate of the arena then we will all go
in together" Jim answered

Back at the house the guys were getting ready to load up in the truck an
head out to the arena.

"Do you have everything you need babe?" Mike asked Davey before they got
into the truck.

"Yea, I double checked everything before we loaded the horses." He answered
with a slight hint of nervousness in his voice. He always got nervous
before a horse show or PowWow no matter how many times he did it.

Gary could sense the tension in Davey as he slid into the seat beside
him. " Don't worry little bro you are gonna do fine." he told his brother
as he squeezed his shoulder.

"I know Gar, I just get nervouse before any show." Davey answered.

"Sweetie let me tell you something, the day you quit being nervous you know
it has no longer become fun to you but a job." Gary offered his advice "
Just got with it an always have fun no matter what the outcome is."

The ride to the arena was normally a 10 minute drive but traffic was heavy
today an it took them an additional 15 minutes to get there. Soon they were
backing the trailor into the unloading zone for the horses. Davey was first
out of the truck an starting to get ready to unload Lady Linda an Mikes
horse Gentleman's Gentleman. After the two horses were unloaded an put in
their stalls the guys went to meet with Jim, Marilyn an Lesa at the front
gate.

Seeing his mom an Sister Baylor, Davey ran ahead to greet them throwing his
arms around his mom first. " I love you mom," then turning to Sister Baylor
an hugging her "I love you too mammaw."

"Hey what am I chopped liver ?" Jim asked laughing as Davey came up to hug
him.

"Naw you just look like a big ole teddy bear that needs a hug." Davey was
quick to come back as he giggled an lead the hroup as they went from booth
to booth at the arena until it was time to get ready for the parade. Mike
went with Davey to help get the feathers an all on Lady Linda an get her
saddle on, then went to get his own horse ready since he too would be
riding in the parade just further back.

The others had all gone to get their seats at the front of the arena so
they could get better pics of the guys as they rode out in the Parade to
kick off the PowWow. Marilyn had attended these avents before but none of
the others had so they were all excited as they watched people in full
Indian Regalia milling around doing this or that. Pretty soon they heard
the drums start along with the indian flute which signaled the parade was
ready to start. First out was Honorary Chief. Jim grabbed his camera as the
ladies grabbed their's an started snapping pics of Davey as he an Lady
Linda came side stepping into the arena Laddy Linda dress in all her
feathers an plumes an Davey dressed in his full regalia.

" Lord our boy looks so good today." Sister Baylor remarked as Davey rode
by them waving his indian spear in the air.

"He really takes pride in his native american heritage." explained
marilyn. "He has been so excited all week about giving the honor of being
Chief for today an leading the kickoff parade"

Gary was on his feet clapping for his younger brother an beaming with rpide
as he told the guy next to him " That is my little brother there." you
could hear his voice swelling with pride as he spoke.

As all the other riders an dancers entered into the arena an formed a
circle an older Indian man in full headdress an regalia stepped into the
center an began to offer the prayer to the Great Spirit.

"Oh, Great Spirit, whose voice I hear in the wind,

Whose breath gives life to all the world.

Hear me; I need your strength and wisdom.

Let me walk in beauty, and make my eyes ever behold the red and purple
sunset.

Make my hands respect the things you have made and my ears sharp to hear

While everyone was relaxed there was still a bit of tension in the air
wondering if Carl would try something but they gelt faitly sure he wouldn't
try anything with this ;arge of a crowd around. They had worked it out so
Davey would not be alone at any time.

The drums started again an this time the dancers came in an started doing
their dance in a circle. Everyone who had not been here before were in awe
of the regalia and the beauty of the colors an decorations.

"I can't believe how beautiful all this is." Lesa Baylor whispered to
Marilyn not wanting to disturb anyone around her.

"It is at that I never get over it as many times as we have attended
these." Marilyn whispered back.

Jim an Gary unbeknowing to anyone else was scanning the crowds for any sign
of Carl. They had an uneasy feeling that he just might show up an try
something but didn't want to worry the women.

Outside the arena Davey an Mike were getting their horses ready for the
horse show an judging. Each rider would enter the arena an put their horse
thru the paces to music an then the judges would make a decision based on
looks, control an overall performance. The horse show would start as soon
as the dancers had finished there dance performance. Davey could hardly
wait till the show was over so he could rejoin his family an enjoy the rest
of the day visiting the booths an shopping for different handmade Indian
decorations he wanted for their new home.

Davey had chosen Tanya Tuckers song San Antonio Stroll for his music he an
Lady Linda had performed to this in many shows an had always done well the
Grand Lady knew her paces to this show without any prompting from him so
this should be an easy show for him. Mike had chosen John Denvers Thank God
I'm A Country Boy. Davey would be second to enter the arena for the show an
Mike would be fourth according to the numbers they had drawn before to see
what order all contestants would follow.

Davey had braided Lady's mane an put beads an bangles an feathers in it as
well as a beautiful feathered headdress for her. It was hard to keep her
still when she heard music she would prance around as if dancing to the
music, she was really a show off. "Calm down girl you will get your chance
just be patient." Davey spoke to her in a soothing voice trying to get her
to calm down while gently stroking her an nuzzling her. Davey loved his
horse so much an he had worked hard to rain her.

"Hey Babe, you ready for this ?" Mike whispered to him as he came to stand
beside him.

" As ready as I will ever be. There are a lot of great riders an horses
today an you are included in that." Davey answered "Do you realize this is
first time we have competed against one another." Davey stated.

"Just remember hun I am not here to actually compete with you I am just
here to help keep you safe. I don't care if I win as long as you are safe
an besides I think you an Lady are gonna be the hit of the show just look
at her she is really a show horse." Mike laughed at the horse prancing an
getting antsy to get on with it.

"Well I don'y know about a show horse but she is definately a show off
ain't you girl" Davey came back laughing an rubbing Lady's face while she
just threw her head in the air an snorted as if she had just been insulted.

"Oh boy what a high an mighty qyeen we have here." Mike laughed only to get
another snort from Lady. "Geeze what a snob she is getting to be." Mike
laughed only to get a headbutt from Lady. Davey almost fell down laughing.

"I think she loves you Mikey." Davey giggled

"If that is how she shows her love I would hate to see her if she hated
me." He returned rubbing his head.

About this time the announcer came in an told all th riders to mount up an
be ready when their name was called.

Mikey helped Davey mount. " Good luck Babe an you too Ms Linda, will see
you both back here after the show don't leave this spot until I get back
from my part." he told Davey not really wanting to let him out of his sight
for even a few seconds.

Good luck Mikey, I love you " Davey whispered not wanting to give away
their relationship to all the other riders.

The arena master begin lining up the riders in the order they would be
going as the music started for the first rider who entered the arena to do
his performance half way thru his performance his horse spooked an bucked
him off which put him out of the running automatically. Davey felt sorry
for him as he had seen this happen too often to other riders an hoped it
didn't happen to him today.

As his name was announced he heard his music start an he an Lady entered
the ring an begin. Linda was prancing in time with the music just as she
had been trained. As she pranced an side stepped to the music the crowd was
clapping an Davey could almost hear Gary shouting for him.

"Ok Girl this is your time to shine show those judges just what you can
do." Davey spoke to his horse encouraging her thru her paces without any
flaws. as the song was ending Davey turn Lady toward the judges an had her
bow then toward the crowd an had her bow to them before leaving the arena
to shouts an clapping of the spectators. Back in the holding area Davey
dismounted for a while an waited for the other contestants to do their show
before they would all be called back into the arena for the final
presentation of the awards.

Davey was standing talking to Mike when Gary walked up so he could be with
Davey while Mike was showing just as Mike was called up. Mike an
Gentleman's Gentleman made a great showing so it was gonna be a tough
competition, riding back in the holding area an dismounting the guys stood
talking waiting on the others to finish an the final call to be called.

"Guys you were both superb today." Gary congradulated the guys hugging them
in turn.

"In my opinion I think Davey has this down pat. I didn't have near the
performance he had." Mikey said of his lovers performance with pride. The
only reason he had entered this competition was just to keep an eye on
Davey but Davey didn't know this.

"It would not surprise me if he won." Gary returned smiling an hugging his
little brother. "Lady Linda was quite the hit today the crowd was really
cheering her on as she made her bows none of the others have done that so
that should gain a lot of extra points with the judges." he finished

"Guys look win or lose I am not worried, there are a lot of great riders
out here today and I am not expecting to win I am just having fun." Davey
said trying not to show any emotion.

The last rider was waiting to make his entrance into the arena so the show
was just about over an it would be a few minutes before the judges would
have their final decision. after the last rider had returned to the holding
area all the riders mounted back up for the final ride back into the arena
where the awards would be presented.

"Thank God this is just about over with." Davey told Gary as his brother
stood beside him waiting to watch him make his final ride for the
presentation.

"ALL RIDERS BACK TO THE ARENA PLEASE" The announcer called out as all the
riders slowly made their way back out an formed a single line.

As the chief of ceremonies took his place on a small pplatform that the
riders would ride up to to receive their awards if they won he took the
microphone in his hand. " Ladies an Gentlemen I would like to thank you all
for your great performances today an I would like to thank all our
spectators coming out to show their support. As I call your name please
ride slowly up an receive your award then take your final round of the
arena before leaving the area." The speaker instructed. " First lets give a
big round of applause for all our riders an their horses today>" he
continued as the crowd erupted in applause.

"Third runner up is Lisa Mahon an Princess Lea." he called out as a young
lady rode forward an collected her ribbon an made her round an left the
arena. After announcing the other runner ups he begin to announce third an
second place winners. "Third place goes to Michael Baylor an Gentleman's
Gentleman" as Mike rode forward an collected his 250.00 check an his third
place trophy. " Second place goes to Randal Michael's an Midnight Dreamer."
that rider rode forward to collect his 500.00 check an his trophy. "And now
our first place an grand prize winner of 1000.00 is Davey Collier an Lady
Linda." as Davey rode forward the crowd erupted in a roar of applause an
cheers.

As Davey rode back into the holding area Mike an Gary were there waiting
for him, helping him dismount an hugging him tight while other riders were
coming up shaking his hand an congradulating him on his win.

"You did it babe, you did it!!" Gary exclaimed picking Davey up off the
ground an spinning him around about the same time Marilyn, Jim an Lesa
Naylor came running into the holding area all excited for Davey an Mikey.

"I am so proud of both my boys today" Marilyn started "you both were just
great." she finished hugging Davey an Mike both at the same time as Lesa
Baylor came over to hug the boys an congradulate them.

"I love you both so much my heart just swells with pride today." Lesa had
tears streaming down her cheeks as she hugged an kissed both boys.

Jim also had to get his hugs in an told the guys how proud he was of their
wins. "Guys all I can say is you were excellent out there today. Never have
I seen such a great performance" He told them. " Lets secure the horses an
go get something to eat then enjoy more of the festivites." He continued as
he started helping Davey get Lady settled in her stall. While brushing her
down an rubbing his hands over her Jim realized something, he wasn't 100%
sure but he had done this enough to know she was pregnant. "Davey, has Lady
been bred?" he asked

"Not that I know of. Why do you ask?" He asked as he came around to where
Jim was standing.

need to have a vet check her out to be sure tho." Jim told him watching the
expression on Davey's face.

Davey stood for a minute with his mouth open but nothing was coming
out. Finally getting his voice he yelled "YOU Mean Lady is gonna have a

"If my guess is right I think so in about 9 or 10 months.? Jim Replied
laughing at the young man standing with his mouth wide open in shock at the
news.

first powwow."

The group left the stables an started walking toward the cookshack that was
set up.

"I have to go to the bathroom" Davey said as she turned toward the
bathrooms. " go ahead and get us a table i won't be but a minute.'

"Ok hurry back I am hungry." Gary laughed squeezing his brother.

Unbeknowing to anyone there was someone watching every move Davey
made. Carl had managed to blend into the crowd unoticed.  "You are mine now
you little asshole/" he thought to himself as he rushed into the bathroom
an hid in a stall to wait. Carl had been patiently waiting for his chance
to grab Davey an take him away and this was a perfect setup for him.

Davey entered the bathroom unaware of what was waiting for him. Carl waited
until Davey walked up to the urinal and had his back to him before he
jumped an wrapped his hand around his mouth to keep him from screaming.
Putting a gun to Davey's side he whispered. " keep quiet we are walking out
of here an you are going with me or you an your little boyfriend will die
do you understand me."

Davey nodded his head yes since he was unable to speak. frightened an
scared Davey calmly walked out of the bathroom with Carl and toward the
exit of the grounds.

Thinking Davey was gone to long Mike went to check on him an finding the
bathroom empty he started to get worried. He hurried back to the cookshack
to tell the others the guys all fanned out an started searching for the
missing youngster.

Gary flagged down a police officer an explained the situation an why they
were worried the officer then put out a bulliten over his radio to be on
the watch.

Carl had planned this escape route so that he wouldn't be seen exiting the
grounds with Davey. His car was hidden in a stand of trees away from the
parking area. When he got the boy to the car he tied his hands an feet an
put him in the car before driving off.

"You have messed my life up you little faggot, now you are gonna pay your
ass is mine now." He spoke with hatred in his voice.

" You won't get away with this Carl just let me go and I won't tell
anyone." Davey begged crying.

"To late for that now." Carl spat " You are gonna pay dear for what you
have cost me then I am going after your punk boyfriend he is next."

"Please don't hurt Michael, it is me you want not him he hasn't done
anything to you." Davey cried

Davey was trying to loosen the ropes that had his hands tied behind him
without Carl seeing him move to much. At that moment they had to pass the
gate to the grounds Davey looked up just in time to see Gary an Mikey
exiting the gate Mikey saw Dave in the car and told Gary.

"Carl has him they are in that car that just went by." He shouted
remembering the license plate number so he could report it. "I am gonna
kill that bastard when I get my hands on him." He cried out as he fell to
his knees in dispair.

"Not if I get to him first." Gary answered in anger " I am gonna make that
man wish he was never born for what he has put my little brother through. I
want to rip his balls off slowly an painfully an shove them down his
fucking throat."

"Ok lets go tell the others an get this tag number an description of the
car out so they can find him quick." Mikey said pulling himself together as
the guys ran back into the grounds to round up the rest of the crew. On the
way they ran into the officer they had originally talked to an reported
everything to him an he called it in so all the force was on the lookout
now for the car an Carl as well as Davey. When they found The ladies an
Jimmy they were almost out of breath.

"Carl has Davey he kidnapped him they just left in a car." Mike gasped
out. "We turned the tag number an description of the car into the police
but I think we need to start our own search. If he harms one hair on Davey
so help me God I will Kill him he finished showing the fear and anger in
his voice.

" I will take care of the horses an get them back to the farm." Jimmy said
"You Guys take the ladies an my car an head on out get in touch with Leo an
see if he has any news yet. Call me at home soon let me know."
