Joey for two days and my lust for him was quickly replaced with a genuine
love.  After church we went out with some other members to eat Chinese food
as usual.  When we got home I asked Joey if we should call his mother.

"No, she said it would be okay for me to spend one more night already."
The boy said clearly anxious.

 I realized now that the boys had not been completely forthcoming about
Joey and his situation.

"I don't think that is true, but if it is I will apologize after I talk to
your mother.  What is your number?"

All three boys stood there silently.

"Number please."  I reiterated.

They didn't move or say a thing.

"What's going on?"  I asked sternly.

I could see tears well in Joey's eyes and then they began to fall like
raindrops.  I knew immediately that something very big was going on and
that there were definitely some family secrets with Joey and his mother
that needed to be explained to me before we went any further.  It scares me
that everything always seems to come down to family secrets but if we were
going to begin having a relationship then we all needed to be open with one
another.  I waited with baited breathe for the boys to explain the
situation to me.
