Chapter 2

We showed up at the ramp early Saturday morning. The boys were already
waiting for us. They wore the same short pants, same shirt and same
sneakers. No socks. They both had a dark blue hoodie on since the early
morning can be chilly. You could see the IMS decal on their left chest. I
knew it would be in the eighties by ten this morning and in the nineties by
tonight, but right this minute, it was a chilly low sixty.

Scott and me both had on nylon gym-type shorts and a sweatshirt as well.

I asked both boys to stand by and let Scott and I launch the boat. I
unhooked the trailer wrench hook from the boat and put another line on the
bow hook so Scott could control the boat once I launched it. I asked the
boys to continue to wait until we were in the water before they got to the
floating pier. Scott walked onto the pier as I backed the boat into the
water. I built up some speed and then hit the brake when the trailer was
covered with water. The boat sailed off the trailer and floated free. Scott
was bringing the boat closer to the pier as I drove out of the ramp and
watched the boys head for the boat.

By the time I parked the trailer and returned to the boat, Scott had helped
the boys get their fishing tackle on board and was giving them each a life
jacket. I started the two 90-horse engines and let them idle as I donned my
own life jacket.

I have a number of boats for fishing. This morning I was using my Boston
Whaler. At 22-feet the boat was roomy and would give the boys lots of
casting room. It also had a number of pedestal chairs for easy fishing.

We backed out of the landing ramp and headed down river. This part of the
river is a no wake zone so I kept my speed slow, so my wake would be
minimized. We passed marinas, restaurants and river front homes as we
headed for the Gulf. The boys were sitting up front, in the bow seats, and
were enjoying the trip. Scott was talking to Travis when Chris asked if he
could sit near me and steer the boat.

I said "yes" so he walked to the center console and took the wheel as I
kept the speed very low.

"What's that ahead of us?" he asked.

"Looks like a dolphin. Just keep this same heading and he will swim
alongside us."

"Can I look closer?" he asked all excited.

"Sure." He left the console and leaned over the edge of the boat and
watched as the dolphin swam alongside the craft. Travis was looking down on
the big mammal from his bow seat as the large creature swam within a foot
of him. Before we knew it, we were surrounded by a pod of dolphins.

Both boys had big ass smiles on their faces. Even Scott, who had seen
hundreds of these gentle creatures, was enjoying the moment.

"Chis find a seat and hang on. We are going to go a lot faster as soon as
we pass the sign ahead."

Within minutes, we were at the sign giving us permission to "Resume normal
safe speed."

I looked up and saw all the boys were settled in their seats, their life
jackets were on and properly tied and no lines were in the water and so I
pushed down on the accelerator and off we went.

The shoreline went from civilization to floating islands of tall grasses as
we entered the river tidal basin. You could look out at miles of green
grasses.

On the far horizon, you could see trees and, on occasional, a home in the
marsh. The canal weaved in and out and around the islands of marsh grass,
but we kept up the speed and headed to the gulf. All of a sudden the marsh
lands disappeared and there was nothing in front of us except blue water.

I looked at my GPS and slightly changed our direction as we headed toward
my fishing area. We passed a few of the outer islands and I heard Scott
tell Travis that BA Beach was on that island, as he pointed, and was great
for swimming, sleeping and picnicking.

We didn't see many boats on the gulf which was good for us: less
competition for fish.

We were going to fish for Red Snapper. These fish can go up to fifty
pounds, but I suspected we would not see any that size, but a ten to
fifteen pounds should be easy to catch. The area I choose to fish today is
an artificial reef. About forty years ago a boat sank in the gulf and the
structure attracted a great many fish.

I looked at my GPS and fish finder before I asked Scott to get the anchor
line ready to be dropped. He slowly lowered the anchor when I gave him the
word. We were in thirty feet of water and if you looked closely you could
see the top of the wreck over the right side of the boat. The water was gin
clear.

Once we were secured, I asked the boys to come to the steering console and
explained what we were going to do for the next few hours.

"First, the safety rules: Chris, how old are you?"

"I'm twelve."

"Good. You're legal. You guys can take off your life jackets while the boat
is anchored but no horse play as it could be dangerous out here. I am going
to put up the Bimini top for shade, but drink a lot of water and stay
hydrated. The water and ice are under the seat. Since your fishing rods are
not really made for big fish, and we are going for really big fish, I am
going to let you use my equipment. Don't drop the rod into the water; hang
on to it at all cost. Red Snapper can get to be fifty pounds or more, but
we are going for the ten to fifteen pound fish. That means the hooks and
the bait are big as well. Be careful with the hooks."

I then showed them how to put a frozen squid on a hook and we ready for
fishing.

Immediately after my safety chat, three boys removed their life jackets and
placed them under the seats. They also removed their hoodie sweatshirts.

I noticed as the boys removed their sweatshirts, their t-shirts crept up
the backs exposing their belt line. Unlike the last time I saw them, this
time the boys were not wearing any underwear and you could see the top of
their butts as their cargo pants scooped down as their t-shirt went up.

I knew Scott like to go commando when we went fishing so that didn't
surprise me, but Travis and Chris, leaving their underwear at home, did
surprise me a little. I wondered if they were like Scott and I and avoided
wearing underwear whenever we could or was it just laziness on their part.

I turned on the radio and we settled down to fish. I suspected that if we
were going to catch fish, it would be quickly. My fish finder marked fish
all around us so it was only a matter of time before one took the bait and
we landed it. The two older boys sat in the pedestal chairs on the bow,
their legs stretched out in front of them, their feet on the gunwale. They
opted to put their rods in a fishing rod holder allowing them to stretch
out, sleep and talk and not be encumbered with a fishing rod.

Chris and I kept our fishing road in our hands and just leaned back and
chatted. It has been about forty-five minutes later when I asked the boys
if they were hungry.

Dumb question!

All boys are hungry all the time. I suggested they look in the cooler and
take out some donuts for a mid-morning snack. They were digging in the
cooler for donuts when one of the reels made a clinking sound. Then a
second reel made a clicking sound. The clicking sounds occur when a fish is
on the line and starts to take the bait. The drag on the reel engages and
goes "click" each time the reel lets out line.

The older boys had fish on their lines. They dropped their donuts and
grabbed their fishing gear.

"STOP! Don't do anything. Let the fish run with it for a while."

They stood up, took their rods out of the holders and held them as they
watched the line run out of the reel. The clicking sounds became more
incessant.

"Tighten up your lines." I said. They made their lines tighter. They could
feel the fish running with their bait.

"OK! Set your hooks hard."

Both boys pulled back hard on their rods and set the hooks. The race was
on. The fish bolted when they felt the pressure of the line and ran away
from the boat. The boys in their excitement started to reel the fish in,
getting nowhere as the drag took hold. The more they cranked, the more the
fish sped away from the boat.

"Slow down." I said. "Let the drag do your work for you. Lift the tip of
your rod up and then reel them in. Then lower your rod tip and repeat. You
only crank when you drop the rod tip."

"Chris, get the net ready. When I tell you to, net the fish head first."

Chris had the net ready to go when we heard another click. I looked up and
Chris' rod was about to go over the side. He had left his bait in the water
when he grabbed the net and another fish had latched onto it and was moving
line away from the boat along with the fishing rod. We now had three large
fish online, something that had never happened to me before.

"Grab your pole." I yelled as I seized the net and got ready to land
Scott's fish.

Alas, it was not to be easy. Once Scott's fish saw the boat he burst into
another breakaway from the boat and the war was on again.

Fifteen minutes later I netted Scott's fish. Shortly after that I landed
Travis' fish after it too decided it was not going to go down without a
fight. Both boys sat down and watched Chris fight his lunker. It was neat
to hear their words of encouragement for the young guy in his fight.

Soon, even Chris' fish succumbed to the weight of the drag and Chris'
reeling him in. I asked if Travis wanted to help his brother by netting the
fish. A very short time later we had three fifteen pound fish in the
boat. All three boys looked happy and, of course, I started to get shit
from them as to why I didn't catch any fish.

We baited the hooks and started to fish again. For the next hour there was
little action. All the boys got hits, but no fish. The older guys went to
lie back in their chairs and closed their eyes. Their feet were on the
gunwale and they were stretched out half asleep.

Chris gave me a poke and nodded his head toward Scott.

"Hey! Scott. You planning on going camping?" he asked.

"Huh!"

"Well, I can see you pitched a tent so I was wondering if you were going to
go camping."

Then he let out a big snort at his joke. Scott was stretched out with his
feet on the gunwale and his head back, his eyes closed. You could clearly
see the outline of his wood in his shorts. His dick was sticking straight
up. It was hard to miss his five inches particularly since when he got hard
his dick went straight out. He opened his eyes.

He looked at Chris and said, "I have to piss."

He walked to the side of the boat and pulled his shorts down and started to
pee over the side of the boat.

"Good idea." Travis said and he joined him. He undid his top button and
zipped his pants and pulled out his hog. Both boys were sporting boners and
as soon as they pulled down their pants, it was hard to miss their erect
dicks. They let loose and their stream flew up in an arch landing in the
Gulf.

From my position at the console I noticed that they were both about the
same size in thickness and length. I knew Scott was far from shy. I had
seen him naked since he was a wee lad so my watching his take a piss was
not unusual. We knew each other intimately as well since our getting off
sometimes meant relieving each other from our sexual tensions.

I was a little surprised, however, that Travis was so unconcerned about me
see his semi-hard unit. My other observation was that neither boy had a tan
line.

In Scott's case, he and I swam naked in the pool and even spent time on the
boat and BA Beach soaking up the rays, naked. I wondered what the story was
with Travis.

"Now I have to go." said Chris as he walked to where the boys were and
pulled down his pants.

His dick was semi-boned like the other lads and, like his brother, he was
totally fine with me watching him.

When he was finished urinating, he stroked his cock a few times. This was
far more than just getting the dew off his twig. He was actually stroking
himself in front of us all. He stroked a little, got his unit hard and then
looked at me and put his tool away.

When he came back to his seat I said "Nice sized dick for a twelve year
old."

"Thanks. When I'm hard I am as big as Travis and he's a year older."

"Really? I guess I would have to see that to believe you. Your brother is a
big boy."

"Any time you want to measure us, just ask."

He looked at me with a sly grin and cupped his cock with his hand. As the
sun got higher, fishing got really slow, so I decided to pull the plug and
head home. I had plans for late afternoon so going home a little early
would work out just fine.

We pulled into the landing ramp and I asked Scott to clean the fish and put
them on ice. Both boys helped him. They seem to get a great deal of
pleasure tossing the fish guts up in the air and watching the egrets snatch
them midflight.

When the fish were cleaned and the boat secured, I asked the boys if they
wanted a ride home. They said they would walk so Scott and I headed home
after telling them they were invited to join us again next Saturday.
