     When I had checked in to the RV park the day before I had only
paid for one night,so ,afer Ben and I kissed David goodby(with
deep regret),he slipped out,and made his way back to his
room at the casino.
    Ben stayed inside the RV out of sight,while I got things discon-
nected,and ready to leave.Finally I started the engine,and while it
warmed up,called back to Ben in the bedroom not to come out
until I said O.K. We pulled out of the park,and headed north toward
Las Vegas,about 80 mi. up the highway.
    Calling back to Ben after about ten miles to come up front,he
all but danced up the aisle and jumped into the passenger seat with
a huge smile on his cute face.
    "You don't have any idea how I feel right now,"He said,"I'm Just so
happy to get away from that camp crap,although I already miss
David. But,it won't be long until we are back together",and leaning
over he gave me a big,wet kiss on the cheek.
    I told him,"Carefull,it would be a shame to end up in a ditch,and
have you going back to camp,with me going to jaill.From now on
you're my kid brother,and we're just seeing the country for a few
weeks,until school starts for you.Let me do any talking nesessary.
I know it will be difficult for you,but,just play dumb,like most 11
year olds.O.K.?'

ceeded on,passing thru Las Vegas without stopping,and on into
the the N.W. corner of Arizona,then,rather quickly,into southern
Utah.I began to feel more relaxed with some distance between us
and the camp scene.I decided to spend a week,or so,seeing
some of the canyons in this part of Utah,including the Grand
Canyon's northern rim.
