				    BEN

     When I woke up,and opend my eyes,I saw Keven  sitting on the
chair across the RV.Its not far across,but he looked like he was miles
away.
    "Is everything OK,"I asked,worried that I had done something to
disappoint him.
    But he reply'd,"Oh yeah, Benny.Things couldn't be better for
me.I'm just wondering if I did the right thing for you,taking you away 
from David,and your other friends.
      I went over to him,and puting my arms around him,told him,"Keven
you are one of the best things to ever happen to me.If you knew every-
thing that I have been thru,you would understand why ." 
     We sat there with our arms around each other for a moment,then
Kev said,"If you ever feel you want to talk about it,I'm here to listen."
      I couldn't help it.I started crying,and blurted out," I lied to David
when I first got to the camp.In fact I've been lying for years to a lot
of people.I've gotten really good at it,too.Maybe if I you would promise 
to never tell anyone,I could tell you who,and what I really am,and for 
at least a little while,I could be myself.
    Kevin gave me a hug,and said,"We all have secrets.Some we share,
some we don't,so whatever you feel comfortable with suits me.No one
else will ever hear it from me,unless you tell me to tell them,him,her,or
it.OK"?
    He got up,and came back with a warm washcloth,and gently wiped
my face,then kissed me on the lips.
    I said,"Well in the first place I'm not 11 going on 12. I'm 21 going on
22!"
    As I expected.Keven's mouth dropped open,and he gasped,"What
in Hell are you talking about."
    "It's true,"I said,"Just listen,and I'll explain."
