It Started at School -- Chapter 10

     After the successful outcome of the visit to London and the victory of
Bob's Football Club whilst there I became more involved with away matches
and soon became a regular part of the "squad".  I would travel with the
official party and the coach would either have me with him during the match
or very close at hand but always making sure that Bob could see me during
the game.

     For home matches I continued to attend all of them and usually I took
along one of my school friends but mainly it was Jake, with whom I had
built up quite a good friendship, so much so that he would return home with
me and Bob after the match and would stay overnight before returning home
on the Sunday.

     After each game had finished it was accepted that Jake and I would go
to the players' bar and wait for Bob to get showered and changed.  It was
at times like this that another member of the team would quite often come
to us and stay with us until Bob appeared.  He seemed to be particularly
fond of Jake and would often put a hand on Jake's shoulder as he stood
chatting to us.  This footballer was from the Ivory Coast and was jet black

way and so we set off for home.

     On arrival Bob introduced Joseph to my mum who welcomed him with a big
hug and told him "Any friend of Bob and Martin is also a friend of mine".
Joseph seemed to relax immediately.  My mum said the meal would not be
ready for about an hour and said we should find something to occupy
ourselves with for a while.  Bob suggested we should have a game of snooker

was suggested that we should have a swim so we all went to the indoor pool.

as Bob replied "We will see about that, we only let you win last time so as
not to upset you."

     So, we all went to the games room to have a few games of table tennis
and a few frames of snooker.  There were no obvious winners as we were all
fairly evenly matched but as the night drew on it was obvious that we were
all having a super time and I could see that Jake and Joseph were getting
on really fine together.  Eventually my mum called in to say she was tired
so was having an early night.  We all bade her "goodnight" and had a few
more games together before we also decided to turn in.  Bob said "Now we
have to decide on the sleeping arrangements.  We have enough rooms for
everyone to have their own room but usually when Jake stays over he sleeps
with Martin.  I suggest that should change tonight but it is up to Joseph
to accept or refuse my proposal but I suggest that Joseph and Jake share
one large bed and I will sleep with Martin for tonight.  What do you say to
that, Jake and Joseph?"  They looked at each other and smiled before both
replied that such an arrangement suited them fine.  So off we went to bed,
them in the adjoining bedroom to Bob's on the other side to that of Martin
which would remain empty tonight.

     As soon as Bob and I had used the bathroom and were ready for bed, but

still get the villa for the full period.

     Joseph said he would give the offer some thought.  He said he had

excitement of returning home as a celebrity so he would give this offer
some thought and let Bob know his decision very soon but the way he felt
right now he would accept the kind offer.  Naturally Jake did not need any
coaxing, he was smiling from ear to ear at the thought of three weeks in
sunny Spain staying in a luxury villa on the beach.  It was decided we
would all think it over and have a word again in a few days' time to
finalise things.

     Joseph said he would now take Jake home and thanked Bob for such a
wonderful weekend.  As they were driving away Joseph turned to Jake and
said "Do you want me to take you straight to your home or would you rather
come back to my place for a couple of hours?  Maybe we can become even
better friends than we already are."  Jake smiled and said "Well that is
the best suggestion I have heard from you yet and I am in rush to go home
for a few hours yet and it is over an hour since we last made love so I am
