Chapter Thirty Three

It was a very quiet and relaxed evening. I spent a little time talking with
Mihai and Franklin about looking after Maggie. They were both pleased to
help out. Dinner was a private affair and I did the cooking for my little
family. Afterwards, we sat and watched a movie in the media room. Maggie sat
at one end of the couch and I on the other. The boys were sandwiched between
us. James next to Maggie and Curtis next to me. All of our lives had been
drastically altered by the events of the past five days.

When the movie was over, the boys got up and started heading upstairs.
"Boys, why don't you help Maggie get settled into the master bedroom. You
boys can sleep with her tonight and I will sleep in the guestroom." I
instructed.

"Tim, I could not impose on you to give up your bedroom for me." Maggie said
lovingly.

"Your not imposing at all. It's your bedroom now." I replied with a tender
smile. The boys took Maggie upstairs to switch rooms while I shut everything
down in the media room. I made my way upstairs and back to the guest
bedroom. The boys were just moving the last of Maggie's things into the
master bedroom. Maggie gave me a kiss and hug and wished me a pleasant
sleep. The boys said goodnight and gave me a kiss and hug as well. James
thanked me for being so understanding and promised me he would make it up to
me tomorrow night.

I walked into the guestroom and stripped off my clothes. My stomach was tied
in a huge knot. Tomorrow morning was not something I was looking forward to.
I was certain that both boys would be crushed, but Curtis was going to be
absolutely devastated. My money could fix a good many problems, but it was
useless here. The die had been cast. I crawled into bed and tried to force
myself to sleep. But sleep would elude me for two hours before I was finally
able to nod off.

The beeping of the alarm almost sounded like a death toll as I awoke. My
mind was instantly consumed with the sadness that was rapidly approaching.
James had laid my travel clothes on the chair in the guestroom last night. I
picked them up and made my way to the bathroom across the hall. I got my
shower, brushed my teeth, and shaved before dressing. When I had finished in
the bathroom, I made my way to the master bedroom. I knocked on the door and
Maggie told me to come on in.

As I opened the door, I saw the boys clinging to their mother, and the three
of them were drowning in their tears. I told Maggie I was going to fix
breakfast and that they should take their time before coming downstairs. I
made my way downstairs and saw Franklin and Nicholas sitting at the table.
Mihai was in the kitchen making breakfast. I was overjoyed to see them as I
was in no mood to be cooking. Nicholas ran and jumped on me.

"Hi uncle Tim!" he exclaimed as he wrapped himself around me.

"How is my favorite Godson?" I asked before kissing his forehead.

"I'm fine uncle Tim. I woke up so I could come and say goodbye to you." he
replied.

"Thank you little man. I needed a hug this morning!" I exclaimed. I sat
Nicholas back in his seat and walked into the kitchen. Mihai stopped what he
was doing and hugged me.

"We are all here for you, Tim." he stated before kissing me on the cheek. I
thanked him and he gave me a cup of coffee. I walked back to the dining room
and took my normal seat. It took awhile before Maggie and the boys made
their way downstairs. We all sat down and had breakfast, but it was not a
very pleasant meal. Maggie and the boys were still shedding tears, which
prompted me to do the same. Although my heart was breaking for Maggie, I was
far more concerned with the boys.

Once breakfast was over, we started slowly heading for the car. Maggie sat
down on the front stairs and placed a boy on each knee. She handed each of
the boys a small gift box. The boys opened their gifts, and each had
received a sterling silver guardian angel charm for their ID bracelets. "No
matter how far away I seem, I will always be watching over you my boys." she
sobbed. I will always be in your hearts, and I will love you forever. I am
very proud of both of you."

"I don't want you to die mom." James cried out as he hugged her tightly.

"I know you don't son. But death is a part of life we must all face. It's
just my turn now." she said, trying to contain her tears. "I love you my
sweet boy. Be strong for your brother. He needs you now." she said as she
kissed James goodbye. James gave her a long kiss on the cheek and then ran
to the car sobbing.

I walked over and gave her a big hug and kissed her on her forehead. "You
will have the best care that money can buy. Please try not to worry too much
about your boys. They will be loved beyond measure, I promise you. I won't
forget you Maggie Simmons." I blubbered before kissing her cheek. She kissed
my cheek in return and thanked me for all I had done. I stepped back to
allow Curtis his turn to say goodbye. Maggie dropped to her knees and hugged
Curtis tightly. Curtis' arms were clutching his mothers neck so tightly his
knuckles were white.

"I can't live without you mom. Please don't leave me." he pleaded through a
river of tears.

"You can, and you must, my baby boy. Live long and be happy, so that I can
live inside of you. You are the best son in the world and I love you with
all of my heart." she said lovingly. My heart was crushed watching these two
souls being ripped apart. Maggie clutched her son for another minute before
shouting, "Oh gawd! Please take him, Tim". She pried herself from his grip
and ran into the house.

I picked Curtis up and held him to my chest and he stretched his arms
towards the house screaming "Mom". All I could do was attempt to console the
inconsolable. I nodded to Mihai and Franklin, who were also watching the
drama through tear filled eyes. They nodded back and I carried Curtis to the
car. I put him in the car and climbed in behind him. As soon as I took my
seat, Curtis climbed in my lap and clutching my neck. He was sobbing
uncontrollably and his entire body was shaking. James moved over beside me
and I wrapped my other arm around him. The boys clung to me all the way to
the airport.

When we boarded the aircraft, Curtis started to take a seat across the isle
from where James and I sat. James gave him a big hug and kissed his cheek.
"You sit here." he instructed, as he led Curtis to his normal seat. My heart
swelled with pride at seeing James' sacrifice for his brother's sake. I
walked over and kissed him deep on the lips.

"You are a remarkable young man James. I love you." I stated with a broad
smile.

"I love you too Tim. But Curtis needs you more." he replied while still
shedding tears.

I took my seat and got Curtis all strapped in. I fastened my own seatbelt
and then informed the pilot we were ready for take-off. I lifted the armrest
between Curtis and myself and drew him into my side. Curtis buried his face
in my chest and was still sobbing uncontrollably. I just held him tightly
and cooed in his ear as the plane lifted off the runway and headed for
Jason's Haven. By the time the flight was over, Curtis had calmed down a bit
and managed to stop the tears.

The plane rolled to a stop at the terminal and we all headed up the jet-way.
I was carrying Curtis and when we reached the end of the jet-way, Calvin
tried to take Curtis' hand. Curtis was having none of it. He clung to my
neck and would not let go. "I will carry him to intake." I stated.

"You know the rules Tim, no one is permitted with the boys during intake."
Calvin replied.

"This is not just a boy, Calvin. This is my son! And he has just suffered a
huge emotional trauma. I am not leaving him alone! Consider an exemption
issued. I will clear it with the executive staff later." I replied
forcefully.

"I suppose it will be alright. But we have never done anything like this
before." Calvin replied.

"Regardless, I am staying with my son. Don't forget who signs your
paychecks, Calvin!" I exclaimed.

"Yes sir." Calvin said respectfully, before turning to lead us to the intake
center. I asked James to run to the executive changing room to get our
sandals and then meet us at intake. Since Curtis was going to have to shed
his clothes, we would shed ours as well to try and make him more at ease.
James caught back up with us just as we entered the intake center. I told
Curtis he needed to get undressed. James and I undressed and put our clothes
in our carry bags. I also tucked Curtis' clothes in my bag.

"Hope up here young man." said the young doctor, as he patted the gurney.
"My name is Michael Pellphrey. I will be doing a few tests on you, to make
sure you are healthy. What is you name son?" Michael asked.

"Curtis." he replied in a shaky voice.

"Your new around here aren't you doc?" I asked.

"I have been on staff here for a little over seven months, Tim. I work
nights and weekends." he replied. He was a very attractive young man who
looked to be in his late twenties or early thirties.

"There is no need to be scared son. None of what we need to do today will
hurt very much. There will be a little bit of a stinging sensation but it
won't last very long. I will be as gentle as I can be, okay?" Michael asked.

"Okay" Curtis replied meekly. The doctor gave Curtis a full and complete
physical, drew blood and then performed a number of swab tests. Although
Curtis winced a few times, he handled it like a champ. When the doctor had
finished with Calvin, we walked over to the intake desk and Calvin affixed
Curtis' ID bracelet.

"Can you attach this to it?" Curtis asked as he held out the guardian angel
he had been clutching in his fist.

"Of course young man." Calvin replied. James asked to have his angel
attached also and Calvin attached it. "How should I set up Curtis' bank
account?" Calvin asked.

"Set him up with a basic account. No allowance deposits, no salary deposits.
I will put what he needs into it." I explained. We waited around for a few
minutes until the doc cleared Curtis to leave. I took his hand and led him
out to our quads. James climbed on his quad and Curtis climbed on behind me
on mine. I waited until Curtis got his arms wrapped around me and then
headed down the path towards home. We arrived at the house just after 1:00pm
and we grabbed the bags to take into the house. "Welcome home son." I said,
as I wrapped my arm around Curtis and led him inside.

Cory and Timmy met us just inside the door. "Welcome home Tim. We have been
anxious to meet your new son." Cory stated.

"Cory and Tim, I would like for you to meet Curtis." I said with a grin.

"Hi Curtis, I'm Cory. It's nice to meet you. This is my boyfriend Timmy."
Cory stated.

"Cory takes care of the house and cooks for us, Curtis." James added.

"It's nice to meet both of you." Curtis replied as he shook their hands.

"Tim, we assumed you wanted Curtis to have the bedroom with access to the
balcony. We have already moved our things to the guestroom so Curtis' room
is ready for him." Cory stated.

"That was very thoughtful of you guys." I replied as I reached over and
tussled Timmy's hair.

"James, would you mind helping Curtis get settled into his room and then
give him a tour of the house?" I asked.

"My pleasure, Tim. Come on little brother, let me show you to your room."
James replied, as he grabbed Curtis' hand and practically drug him up the
stairs.

Have you boys gotten settled in nicely?" I asked.

"I really like it here, Tim." replied Timmy.

"Me too, Tim." Cory added.

"Good. If there is anything you boys need, just let me know." I stated,
before turning to the kitchen to grab a soda. I picked up the cordless phone
on my way out to the deck. I took a seat at my usual table, and dialed
Allen's number.

"This is Allen, how may I help you?" he answered.

"Allen, it's me Tim. I had a little friction at Intake this morning with
Calvin. Curtis is still pretty torn up about leaving his mom and I did not
want to leave him alone in Intake." I stated.

"Of course not, Tim." Allen replied.

"Well, I sort of lost my cool with Calvin. I overstepped my bounds by
issuing an exception without a vote. Can you smooth things over with the
executive staff?" I asked.

"I can't imagine any of them being upset, but I will tell them that you
wanted them to be informed about it." Allen stated.

"Thanks Allen. I will talk with you later." I said as I ended the call. I
then placed a call to Calvin and apologized for losing my temper with him.
He said everything was okay between us. I told him how much I appreciated
his hard work, and then I ended the call. I had just finished my soda when
James and Curtis joined me at the table. Both the boys seemed to be in much
better spirits now. I did not risk setting them off again by asking how they
were doing.

"It is really beautiful here dad." Curtis stated. "I think I am going to
like it here a lot."

"You have only seen the back side of the island Curtis. Wait until you see
the resort side where our customers are." I replied.

"Can we go see it now?" Curtis asked in an excited voice.

"Of course we can. But we should start at Paradise del Ragazzo. I am
starving." I responded.

James stood up and gave me a kiss. "If you don't mind Tim, I think I will
skip the tour. I have a lot of stuff to catch up on in the office. I have
casting calls this week after school." James stated.

"You know I don't approve of you working on weekends. But since we were gone
all week, I won't put up a fuss. Are you sure you are feeling alright?" I
asked.

"I am fine Tim. I just don't want to get too far behind on all of this. We
don't have a lot of time before the benefit show." James responded.

"Okay angel boy. Don't work to hard." I stated as I stood up and gave him a
passionate kiss. "You ready to go Curtis?" I asked.

"Sure dad." Curtis replied.

I led Curtis out to the quad and we climbed onboard. I would normally walk
to Paradise del Ragazzo but since we were going on a tour, we would take the
quad. I drove us over to Paradise del Ragazzo and we walked inside. Curtis'
eyes got big when he saw all the boys and customers dinning inside. Our
waiter led us to a small table and took our order. The food did not take
long to prepare and soon we were enjoying a nice lunch. "How long have you
known you were gay, Curtis?" I asked.

"I have known for about a year now. I have never really cared much for
girls. But last year, I really started noticing the guys." he replied.

"I see. Have you ever had any sexual contact with a boy?" I asked.

"Not really." he replied with a red face. "I play with myself a lot and I
had a friend that used to come over and we would play with each other. But
noting more than that. I would like to learn more though."

"There is plenty of time for that son. Don't rush yourself just to be like
the other boys. You will know when it is right for you. I will be here for
you any time you want to talk about it. So before you decide to take the
next step, please come and talk with me about it. Together, we can decide if
your ready. Okay?" I asked.

"Sure dad. I never really had anyone I could talk to about sex and stuff
like that. Mom was always willing to talk, but I did not feel comfortable
talking to a girl about sex." He said with a his cheeks still blushing.

"Curtis, you are a very gorgeous boy and you have a fantastic body. There
will be boys and men here hitting on you left and right. Don't give in to
pressure or feel like you need to fit in. Lots of boys on the island do not
have sex with customers and some do not have sex at all. The whole idea of
the island is to be what you are comfortable being." I explained.

"Some of the men in here are pretty hot looking." he said with a grin.

"Yes they are Curtis. But remember, they are only here for a brief time and
then they will be gone. Some of the men on the island are staff, and they
live here permanently. There is a huge difference between sex and love,
Curtis. If you are just looking for sex, then the island is full of choices.
But if you are looking for love, which I hope you are, then you need to find
someone who is going to be around for awhile." I stated.

"I will dad. And I promise I will talk with you before I try anything new."
Curtis replied.

We finished our meal and headed out for our tour. I drove Curtis all around
the island showing him everything there was to see and do. We stopped by the
beach and took a stroll. Curtis was checking out all the boys and men, but I
noticed he paid particular attention to the older boys and the men. As we
strolled back to the parking area, we ran into Radu and Alexandru. "Ce fac,
Radu? (How are you, Radu?)" I asked.

"No talk Romanian Tim. Radu speak English now." Radu stated
matter-of-factly.

"Yes you do. I'm sorry, I forgot." I said as I placed my hand on his
shoulder.

"Boy cute! Who is?" Radu asked in broken English.

"Radu and Alexandru, this is my son Curtis." I said.

"Nice meet you." Radu stated while shaking Curtis' hand.

"Hope we be friends." Alexandru stated as he shook Curtis' hand.

"I would like that." Curtis replied as he flashed the two boys a broad
smile.

"Hope to see you boys again soon." I said as we continued our stroll. I
looked back at the boys and they were breaking their necks looking back at
Curtis walking away.

"Looks like you have a new fan club, son." I chuckled.

"They were just being nice." Curtis replied with his face blushing again.

"I have a hunch you can expect a lot of the boys around here to be nice like
that." I replied with a big smile. We climbed back on the quad and the last
place to show Curtis was Allen's house. We drove out to Allen's place and
walked up the walkway to the house. Allen and Brian were sitting out on the
front porch decking. "So nice to see you again." I stated as I hugged Brian
and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"It's good to see you too, Tim." Brian replied.

"Allen and Brian, this is my son Curtis. Curtis, this is my friend Allen and
his boyfriend Brian. Allen is the Director of Operations here on the
island." I stated.

"Its nice to meet you both." Curtis said, as he shook each of their hands.

"He looks just like Jam..." Allen started to say before I interrupted him.

"I know, Allen." I said with a smile.

"I talk with the executive staff and no one had an issue with the exception
this morning, Tim." Allen stated.

"Great. I hated to pull rank but the situation demanded it." I replied. "We
need to head back to the house. I was just showing Curtis around the
island."

"How do you like it so far, Curtis?" Brian asked.

"It's incredible. I'm going to like living here very much." Curtis replied.

"We all do Curtis. Welcome to the family." Brian said, as we turned to head
back to my quad. We climbed onboard and headed for home.

To be continued...
