16:  Olympics

With the Vancouver, B.C. Winter Olympics approaching Kevin got the idea
that "Cory at the Olympics" would be a good idea.  Even better Cory and His
Friends at the Olympics.  He started making planes.  Fortunately several of
the big corporate sponsors were either already clients or clients of
advertising firms Jonathan did work for.  He was only asking for event
tickets, which are impossible to get otherwise and some kind of reasonable
accommodation.  That looked to be the most difficult problem at first.  It
turned out the simplest to solve.  John knew a couple of photographers
based in Vancouver.  It only took a few phone calls to arrange a place for
them to stay and studio availability.  They would use local Vancouver and
Calgary based models and a few from other regional cities.  John and Cory
were able to get press accreditation as well.  John, you will remember is
an established sports photographer reputation and has an in with several of
the uniform sponsor/manufactures.

Over the course of the summer the investigations continued and much
progress was made.  It was hard to keep it away for Cory but John somehow
managed to do just that.

The novel writing was almost complete by mid July.  All the dots were being
connected but three.  They did not know who the mastermind was, how attacks
on gay men were related to anything and how the biker boys related to the
skinheads.  The attacks on gay men were apparently was related to the
skinheads, but the reasons were or appeared obscure.  The bikers related to
drugs and control of prostitution hence conflict with the Asians.  The only
common point between the skinheads and the bikers was the Harley
dealership.  The DEA was convinced the local cops had been compromised by
the bikers.  The FBI thought the local cops had been compromised by the
skinheads.  Immigration was sure the Asians were involved in human
trafficking.  This was all getting very convoluted.

The Homeland Security and ATF people were expressing some concern about
stolen firearms reaching some or all of these people.  They could not or
would not provide any more information or leads.  Ott was becoming very
frustrated.  It was obvious none of the agencies trusted the others and
none trusted him or the local police force.  They all needed Ott since he
was the only one able to provide them with the electronic intelligence we
were gathering.  They were unwilling to possibly tip their hands by seeking
the warrants needed.  John thought they suspected who Ott's sources were
but they had no proof, so kept quiet.

We just kept digging and cross referencing.  It was not unlike some
breakthrough in one of the investigations portrayed on NCIS.  Suddenly
little bits of information started to come together.  This is not a 45
minute TV drama so things took a long time.  It was not a eureka moment
either, just the slow development of a pattern.  First, the the three
groups seemed not related.  The only common point was the Harley
dealership, that was true.  The skinheads were somehow linked to the
dealership management and some of the staff.  That was becoming clear.  The
bikers purchased stuff from the dealership and had their bikes serviced
there.

We found out that the ownership of the Harley dealership was also part
owner and silent partner in one of the Japanese brand bike shops.  That is
the place the Asian's went.  So John and the boys started looking at that
group too.

They also started to find out who was a part of each group.  The bikers and
Asians were easy the skinheads harder but they began making progress when
they started intercepting their texts.  A good number of them were paying
for parking with credit cards or having the charges billed to their cell
phones.  Now patterns started to form.  John's people also found that one
of the security firms, operated by a couple of retired marines, was right
in the middle of the Skinhead pattern.  That firm also provided security to
all of the players.  Even the bad guys had alarms and stuff that needed to
be monitored.

The Asians liked to text even more then the others.  John found people who
could translate the language for them.  This was all very exciting and
boring at the same time.  At least the text messages are such that one
could use word recognition algorithms so one didn't need to read lots of
stupid stuff.  It took a couple of days to recognize the code words for
meetings and so on.  It seemed that the leaders were most fond of using
their credit cards at electronic parking meters and automated lots.

The Homeland people loaned them some very nice GIS software to assist in
the analysis.  Bingo!  They hacked into the security firms system.  For
security people they were rather unsophisticated.  They had been kind
enough to bug the places they monitored.  John's crew just captured copies
of their feed sending it to the alphabet soup boys.  This was costing a
small bundle.

Ott talked the agencies into seeing some research funding to help pay the
bills, came John and Kevin's way.  Once they cracked the codes and
established who was who in each zoo, the Alphabet Soup took over.  John did
not want to know what these people were up to.  He did not want to know
what the different agencies were going to do about any of it, as long as it
did not involve him and his.

The one thing they did say was the gay bashing was not part of the
skinheads plans.  Our bad boys did that on their own.  Not to say the
skinheads were anything but anti gay.  They were that in spades, it was
just that one took his own feelings and rhetoric of the organization to
heart.  They were the ones receiving the stolen guns and did not want any
attention drawn to themselves.  This fellow was inadvertently doing just
the opposite.

It all came down in August.  Cory and John were out to town on a photo
shoot at the time.  That is only partly true.  They did have a photo shoot
the first week in August the last three were spent in the wilderness
fucking their brains out.

John rented a large place in Jackson, Wyoming.  It was a ranch style house
with a nice pool and all the other amenities.  The four just dropped out of
sight for three weeks.  They did all the tourist things in the Teutons and
Yellowstone.  They spent most of our time with a cock up their butts.

Cory and Frank have both grown some.  That is a good thing, much of that

As soon as they returned prototypes were prepared and of course tested.
William suggested John also design undies on the same theme or idea.  A
second batch of prototypes were made up correcting a few fit problems with

work Norman needed to increase his touter time.  John wanted the boys to
spend as much time in classes as possible for the first month or two at
least.  It would need to be the first month and not two however, a six week
European schedule was simply required.  This time Ed would come with them.

The staff quickly settled back into normal operations at Cory's Friends,

Once in high school Cory's social life seemed to grow almost exponentially.

"I think I get it Kevin, but I'm not sure how set those priorities," Cory
said.

"Which ones Cory, the time allocations or tasks," Kevin asked in return?

Brenda and John were both looking at Cory wondering where he focus was.

"I mean the talks or assignments.  I kind of know what is most important on
the macro scale.  School, work, family, free and social time are all about
equal and need to be properly balanced.  You already told us that.  Except
for school, how do we prioritize in each macro time slot.," Cory asked?

"Big technical words from the young ones," Kevin thought. "Each macro slot
will be different I think.  In school and work slots, your priorities are
not completely your own.  Someone else is setting your agenda and in most
cases the task content.  Family time is more flexible but highly influenced
by other family members.  Lets look at that first since we have your
parents here."

Kevin went to the white board and with everyone's help listed the family
oriented tasks.  Then he asked each member to give them priorities.  They
were close but still different.  Chores was last item on Cory's list but
4th on Brenda's for example.  Being on time for things was 1st on
everyones.  Kevin lead everyone through that to arrive at an agreed
priority.

John and Ed were the least impressed by this but they had little choice but
to agree to them.  John is just a little to much a free spirit and Ed still
just a little to little boy selfish.

The free time is always the hardest to both predict and to articulate,
since priorities there are often influenced by others.  For John and Cory,
Frank and Jerad, Ed and Will, spending free time with each other were
unspoken priorities.  When It all got laid out everyone was quite surprised
at how much potential free time was showing.  The trick here is getting the
task properly identified so the important things got done in the allotted
time.  Otherwise the free time starts getting eaten up with unmet
priorities from other macro slots.

John has been doing this in his work from years now.  It is not even
thought about he just knows what needs to be done in what order and to what
level of competence.  Like the other adults he can often delegate down and
does so.  Something the boys can't often do.  They have no one to delegate
down to and can only really delegate up.

Kevin and John were reluctant to say anything about the boy's free time
priorities, at least in semipublic.

The Olympics (Vancouver 2010) was just something out of this world for
Cory, John and the others.  John had lined up a number of Vancouver based
models.  He had found a group of 8, four boys and four girls to work with
them.  He was also able to get press accreditation for most of the venues.
Between that and the sponsor tickets they would be able to access almost
every event.  The athletes like the speed skaters were so sexy in those
