A small explanation: Please read this introduction to the rewritten story of 'Harry' by Hadjo. Half a year ago on a writer's forum someone pointed me to a nice story on the internet called 'Double Trouble' and that's where it all started... I began reading Nifty stories. Most of the stories didn't really appeal to my taste because of the never ending sex in them, but now and then a story brought me to tears, like 'Caring for Cody'. I decided to translate a few nice stories into my native language, Dutch, something I never had done before. (In our country we call it 'Nederlands', I am living in a small country in Europe called the Netherlands or sometimes Holland). Well... within two days of translating I thought: "Why don't I write a story like this myself..." I love writing and I already wrote a few much appreciated books and stories in Dutch, so this became my first project in a foreign language. I bought myself a nice word translating program called 'Babylon' to assist me and enthusiastically started to write. That's how my first story in English 'Harry' was born. It wasn't easy. I had to look up nearly every word and sometimes just couldn't find the correct translation, but I persisted and a story started to arise that sometimes could bring tears to my own eyes. After a lot of editing I sent my first chapter of 'Harry' to the Nifty archive to be placed into the section 'adult/youth'. Never I could imagine how much emails I would receive. 'Your story brought me to tears', 'an emotional rollercoaster', 'the best story I ever saw on Nifty', 'I was breathless and sometimes had to stop reading to exhale', and so on. Wow! I am still blushing. Fortunately there also were a few criticisms, mostly about my funny use of the English language. I learned a lot about clothing/dressing, learning/teaching/taught, the use of me and I, a lot of other oddities and 'colorful constructions'. After a while my English started to improve and now I have to use 'Babylon' only once in a time, mostly to look up words I want to translate from my own language or to find a synonym. I still don't write the language perfectly, but at least now it's less worse than it was... A few weeks ago a friend breathlessly read the story 'Harry' and suddenly asked me with a big grin on his face: "Why don't you try to find a publisher? This is a wonderful story full of love and it also contains a lot of psychological lessons concealed within. This story certainly deserves to be in every library all over the world..." So now I need YOUR help. I am retired and I don't have much money, I certainly can't afford a professional proofreader... perhaps we could help each other? I started to rewrite the old story 'Harry' and I will put all forthcoming chapters of the renewed version onto Nifty under the new title 'Little Harry'. Please will you carefully read each chapter and provide me with as much comments and remarks as possible? I would very much appreciate it! I will use all your notices to improve the story even further until it is mature and ready to put into a book. Of course my helpers and proofreaders will be the first ones to get hold of the first signed specimens of my book! I certainly will not forget you. I will also put all chapters of 'Little Harry' onto my homepage with the address http://www.harryanders.com Unfortunately I can't change the chapters any more from the moment I put them onto Nifty, but on my homepage there will always be the latest and most corrected version of the story, mended by your remarks and helpful hints. The rewritten story will be in a dark red, the uncorrected old version will be appended in gray. Please will comment on the red chapters, have a look at the black chapters, and discard the gray chapters who only are there to remember you of the old version of the story. You can email me at harry@harryanders.com and if possible I will write you back, unless I am getting too much emails... but be assured I certainly will read all of them! On my homepage there also will be a new forum, just for you. Please join our safe haven and partake in our discussions! You may put your comments there too. Meet me on our forum, and also meet there a lot of other writers, fervent readers and kindred souls... Thank you very much for helping me writing my book, and I will remember you in my prayers. I wish you all a deep and profound peace within your heart. Harry AnderS, alternative writer. (formerly known as Hadjo) Thank you for reading my stories and thanks to Nifty for hosting them. The rewritten story will be available on http://www.harryanders.com Please join our forum on http://forum.harryanders.com Please send your remarks to harry@harryanders.com
