Previously:

As we regained our composure, I started sliding off Mark's still hard
cock. Then I felt him pressing a napkin in between my butt cheeks. I
told him 'thanks' and he said 'that's what big brothers are for'. I thought
I would die laughing.

We were all back together when the movie credits played and we exited
the theater. Mark pointed out another movie that was playing.

"We need to come back for that one....and have a repeat performance."

We were both laughing, having the time of our lives as we walked out
into the mall.

We were window shopping and having a great time when we suddenly
heard some loud bangs. I was looking around, uncertain and confused
when Mark grabbed me, threw me on the ground and covered my body
with his.

Now Chapter 5:

Mark completely covered me as I lay on the cold tile floor. Judging by
Mark's movement, he was looking around, assessing the situation as
people were screaming and running in different directions.

"The store located at your ten o'clock....when I tell you, I want you to
run inside, staying as low to the ground as you possibly can and run all
the way to the back and find cover."

"Okay...what about you?"

"I'll be right behind you babe."

There were a couple bangs that echoed in the distance, evidently not fired
in our direction.

"Okay..GO!"

Mark hoisted me up and was right behind me as we entered the store and ran
toward the back area. We found employees huddled back behind the
counter. We turned and looked out the front windows in time to see a mall
security guard go running by, his pistol drawn. He stepped around the
corner into the side corridor and a few seconds later shots rang out and he
fell to the floor. I had pulled out my cell phone and called home. Dad
answered laughing.

"You two want a later curfew?"

"Dad, listen!...There's a sniper or terrorist shooting people here in the
mall. We're fine...call the police!"

My hands were shaking so bad I dropped the phone. That's when Mark went
into Marine mode and started working up through the store to evidently see
what was going on and possibly assess the threat situation.

"MARK!....DON'T!"

He motioned me back and down with his hand. I could hear Dad shouting on
the phone and then nothing. I finally picked it up and the line was
dead. Hopefully he was calling the police.

In the meantime, Mark had worked himself up near the front of the store and
would pop his head up above the clothing racks to see what was
happening. There were no longer any people running around. Mark got down
on his belly and worked his way out the doorway and toward the security
officer. I lost sight of him numerous times but knew he was probably
checking on his condition. Then I lost sight of him. I was on the verge of
screaming, wondering what was going on. It seemed like an eternity and then
a loud volley of shots outside the store front. I could see the flash of
each shot reflected on the store windows as the shots rang out. Tears were
streaming down my cheeks from the uncertainty.

And then, there he was! Mark was in the doorway casually walking toward
me. A pistol hung loosely in his right hand.

"Call 9-1-1...we need emergency medical units out here NOW!!"

One of the store employees confirmed 9-1-1 had already been called.

I was frozen in place.

When he reached me, Mark laid the gun on the counter and took me in his
arms. I thought he was going to squeeze the breath out of me as he lifted
me off the floor and held me tight.

"It's okay now Mattie...he's dead. The dumbass was trying to clear a jam in
his rifle and it gave me the opportunity to take him out."

I just sobbed into Mark's shoulder as he held me. I had been so afraid of
him getting hurt or worse.

We turned and were walking toward the front of the store.

"You are definitely a hero, bro!"

"Later babe...we need to check on the security guard's condition."

When we got to the guard, he was moaning and bleeding. Luckily he had on a
bullet proof vest. The blood was from a non-vital shot in his upper arm. He
was very lucky.

Mark was attending to his wound when police and SWAT officers started
swarming inside the mall. They surrounded, then checked the gunman as
witnesses were pointing to Mark. Then I heard Dad's voice calling my name.

I started waving my hand in the air "Over here!"

Dad and some officers came over. I smiled at Dad "Mark took the SOB out!" I
could see the relief all over Dad's face.

Then some medics arrived and took over working on the security guard. Mark
and I stood up and the cops immediately started questioning Mark about what
he saw as the events unfolded.

When Mark finished, Dad gave the cops our address and phone number, that if
they had any further questions they knew where to reach us but right now,
he was taking his sons home. We walked out into the parking lot. Mom was
waiting and was relieved to see us unharmed. She ran up and hugged each of
us then informed Dad she had to go in to the hospital to help care for the
wounded and Dad would have to ride home with us. Dad ended up driving us
home as I was wrapped up in Mark's arms in the back seat.

Once at the house, Dad called it an early night. I guess he knew I was
stressed and needed my time to unwind with Mark. Mark made slow, passionate
love to me until I was able to relax and fall asleep. Little did we
realize what awaited us the next day.

Mom made it home in the early morning hours. We were having breakfast when
a couple detectives knocked on the front door. That's when we noticed all
the television vans and news crews out front. It was starting to shape up
like a circus. While the detectives reviewed the events of last night with
Mark and I, Dad walked out and talked to the reporters. He asked them to
please give us some space and time to recover from the incident. He got
each reporters name and phone number, assuring them we would contact them
when we were ready to talk about the shooting. When some of the reporters
wouldn't leave, Dad informed them he would have the police remove them and
if that didn't work, he would call in some Marines, but one way or another,
he was not going to have a media circus in front of our house and
disturbing the peace of the neighborhood. They evidently got the message
and cleared out.

Mark and I sat with the detectives and recounted every detail from when we
left the movie theater until Mark killed the shooter and the police
arrived. Mom and Dad sat quietly by and listened to every detail.

When the detectives were satisfied they had everything they needed, they
thanked all of us for our patience. They both shook Mark's hand and
congratulated him on his fast action which probably saved more lives. Once
they left, we all kind of sighed from relief. They did tell us we would be
contacted to join the police chief for a news conference to answer all the
questions by the press.

Mom excused herself. She said she was beat and she and Dad retired to their
bedroom. I gave Mark a devilish grin and we hit my bedroom and just piled
in my bed together, just holding each other.

"I want to make love to you so bad right now but with everything going on
we might get interrupted."

"That's okay Mark. I'm happy just having your strong arms wrapped around me
right now."

We watched a movie on my television, or I should say I tried but I fell
asleep. I had finally relaxed enough and was out in Mark's arms with my
head nuzzled against his chest.

The phone ringing early afternoon woke me up. I realized I was still in
Mark's arms. I looked up at him as he smiled back at me.

"Hey sleepy head....did you have a good nap?"

I yawned a little. "The best."

Then there was a knock on my bedroom door.

"Enter."

Dad opened the door and informed us that was the police calling, for us to
get dressed as we were to meet the police chief at 3:00 for a press
conference. I rolled my eyes and moaned in disappointment.

"Matt, I was thinking, after the news conference, why don't you two come
home, load up the car and take off for the cabin for a few days. You two
can be together and unwind."

That perked me up and got my attention. What a wonderful idea. I looked at
Mark and he was smiling.

"What do you say?"

"I think it's a great idea.....as long as you know how to get us there."

I lovingly punched him "Of course I know how.....Thanks Dad, that's a great
idea for us to get away from this zoo."

"I thought you would like it."

We ended up meeting the police chief and other city officials. Mark was
awarded a citation for his bravery and got to meet some of the people who
survived the mall shooting. It was great and I was so proud of him. Then
there was the press conference and Mark answered questions. Then more
questions till they became stupid and repetitive with just a slightly
different wording. I wondered how these people got and held their
jobs. Thankfully the police chief saw how we were tiring and he called an
end to the meeting. Mark, Dad and I got home just as Mom was leaving for
the hospital.

"Okay boys, drive careful and have fun. There are sacks of groceries on the
table to get you started."

We kissed and hugged and said our goodbyes. After Mom left, we went into
the garage and loaded other camping material. Then we went inside and
packed some clothes, something I knew we wouldn't be needing.

Once we were loaded and had hugged Dad, he handed me a credit card for any
other expenses and told us to be careful and to have a great time. It was a
two hour drive and we got away at 6:00 so we would get there just about
sundown. For me, it was like leaving on my honeymoon.
