Author's Note: I would like to thank Fritz J. for his advice on correcting my error for proper paragraph structure. Since I am writing this story in the third person narrative form, I thought that first person style and structure was different. Not being a trained or professional writer, I went with what I could remember from my classes in college. Fritz was very articulate as he demonstrated proper structure of both first, and third person narrative styles. I have gone back, corrected the four previous chapters, and resubmitted them to Nifty. Another issue I would like to address is to some of the requests asking if they can post my story to their own websites or submit it to another story site. I can say that I do grant permission to anyone wanting to post my story to his or her personal site as long as it is a free website. As to submitting it to other story sites, same thing you can only of it is a free website, but that does include donation sights like Nifty here. I would also like to thank all of the people who continue to email me responses to this story. There is still a while to go on it, and I hope you enjoy every chapter. I will be taking a two week hiatus now for renovations in my home, but chapter 6 is complete and I should post it upon my return. Thank you all again. Rodie's Love: Chapter 5 By Snwdemon with collaboration from Leo and Scott As Jim awoke in the morning, the sharp stabbing pains he has grown so accustom to were not there though. This surprised Jim because the pain had been with him for so long, Jim now looked at it more as an annoying friend instead of something bad. Jim could feel the lightweight of Rodie's small body lying on top of him. Looking at his small face, while softly brushing the hair out of his face, Jim watched as Rodie opened his eyes and focused on him. Something was amiss Jim thought as Rodie woke and grimaced as if he was hurt. "Good morning beautiful," Jim said to the naked boy lying on his chest. Instead of smiling or replying, Rodie ground his teeth together, and groaned as he stiffly slid off Jim's body slowly. Aarrrhhhggg was all Jim heard from the small boy as he gingerly got up, moved over, and lay beside him. Suspecting something, but unsure still, Jim decided to test his theory. "Come on surf boy, I think we both could use a shower. However I need to piss like a race horse first." Jim said as he sat up, then stood skipping his normal morning stretching routine. Standing upright without any pain, Jim now was certain what was going on, because his back and leg muscles should have been screaming at him with pain. Jim heard a soft groan behind him as he stood, so Jim slowly turned to face Rodie. Looking into his small face, Jim could see the pain while tears were welling up in his small eyes. Understanding now what Rodie was doing, Jim sat back on the bed and spoke directly to Rodie. "I know what your doing Rodie, and I want you to stop right now. While I appreciate it, I want you to stop it now because you can seriously hurt yourself." Jim said while throwing in all the authority he could into his voice. With an audible grunt, Rodie let out his breath explosively as he went limp on the bed. Jim was glad he had chosen to sit when he did because the pain returned with a force like running full speed into a wall. "That's more like it!" Jim said in a strained voice as his muscles knotted quickly. Taking a few deep breaths then slowly stretching out his limbs before Jim reached over and retrieved his medication. Quickly taking the bitter pills, Jim felt the pain easing up a little after a few minutes. "Welcome back, old friend," Jim said to himself as the pain started to subside and his muscles loosen. Turning and looking towards Rodie, who was now looking at him sheepishly through his long tangled hair as it hung in front of his face, Jim said, "You! Come over here right now." Slowly obeying him Rodie inched his way across the bed until his head and shoulders were lying across Jim's lap. Pointing a finger at him and shaking it Jim reprimanded, "don't you ever do that again, you hear me! Now do you care to explain yourself as to why you did it in the first place young man?" Looking up at Jim with an innocent expression, Rodie reached up and kissed him on the lips before lying down on his back with his arms above his head, so his naked young body was fully displayed to Jim. Jim could see Rodie's small penis beginning to grow as it bobbed and twitched to Rodie's heartbeat until it was fully erect. Quickly looking back at Rodie, Jim thought silently, "stop trying to tempt me and explain yourself." "Are you really mad at me Jim?" Rodie thought back while looking at him with a slightly worried expression. Still looking at him then smiling Jim said, "no, I am not mad at you surf boy. You just scared me is all, doing what you did could have hurt you because you are not adjusted to deal with it as I am." Answering this time in his small voice Rodie said, "I just wanted to see if I could help is all. I woke up before you did and felt all the pain you had, I learned how to do it a while ago. I would take mom's headaches away from her when she was having a bad day." Rodie explained while looking away in the direction of Jim's computer desk. Turning back to Jim he asked, "how can you stand it Jim? I mean is it like this all the time? It took all my concentration just to hold it in." Jim could hear the concern in his voice as a worried expression came across his small face. "You get used to it after so long, it was hard at first. Right after the accident, but as the months stretched into years, I learned to deal with it so now only at certain times do I really notice it. It is sort of like an annoying friend that you wish would leave you alone but you don't have the heart to tell him." Jim answered truthfully knowing that Rodie could sense whether he was telling the truth or not. "My turn now, Do you always hear and feel what everyone around you is thinking and feeling or is it selective?" Jim asked as he started to run his hand lightly over Rodie's naked torso as Rodie's erect penis flexed automatically at his touch. "Well, it's sort of like its always there but I can ignore it most of the time, unless someone catches me off guard like yesterday. I cannot block them out if the feelings and thoughts are that strong. I really wasn't expecting John to come up behind me like that." Rodie answered as he stretched out his arms above his head while Jim softly caressed his body from neck to just below his belly button. "Speaking about that, why did you react like that to John? Is he someone who I need to worry about?" Jim asked seriously. Rodie thought about it for a long while before he answered. "I think it was because he scared me Jim, I had my head open to Mark because I really wanted to be friends with him when John came up and touched me. When he did that it was like I was sucked right into his thoughts, and the one that kept coming at me repeatedly was how much he wanted to do it in my butt. The things he would like to do to me if he could are almost the same things that my daddy did to me. That's when I stopped thinking sort of, it was as you said last night I guess. All I could think of after that was to find you. I couldn't help it really, it was like someone else took me over, I guess that was the P.T.S. stuff you told me about. Right?" Rodie explained softly to him. "Why find me Rodie? Why not your mom or just runaway from him?" Jim asked, pressing him for a reason. "I dunno, I just knew I had to find you is all. I cannot explain it...but I really feel safe with you Jim. Like nothing can ever hurt me when I'm with you," Rodie said solemnly as he looked up into Jim's eyes. "I'm glad I make you feel that way surf boy," Jim answered as he smiled. Rodie blushed slightly before looking away and saying, "I knew the first day when I saw you really Jim. People kinda give off a kinda feeling about them that I can pick up. I felt it when I saw you watching me from your deck," Rodie said somewhat softly. "Really Rodie? So what did you feel from me that day?" Jim asked as he dug his finger into Rodie's small belly button; he had been lightly tracing around its edges. Rodie squealed loudly in laughter, he quickly grabbed Jim's wrist and pushing his hand away as he giggled, as Jim watched Rodie's little hard cocklet bounce and wiggle. Rodie quickly settled back onto Jim's lap as Jim resumed his long slow caresses. "No fair! You are bigger than me." Rodie complained while he stuck out his bottom lip as if he was pouting. "You didn't answer my question surf boy," Jim replied. Rodie looked away from him, then in a very soft voice said, "I knew that you loved me Jim. I felt that no matter what I told you, no matter what anyone said about me, or whatever I did that you would love me and always be with me." Rodie turned back to look at him and Jim saw a small tear trickling down the side of his face. As Jim gently wiped it away with his thumb while he returned Rodie's gaze, "you were right my love, I did love you when I saw you that first day. I love you even more as each day goes by. After Byron died, part of me died inside too. And I have remained dead inside until I saw you, beautiful." Jim said gently, knowing that what he said was true. Jim had lived, and loved more in the last few days than he had for the last 20 years. Rodie reached up catching Jim in an embrace as he brought his lips together with Jim's lips. After breaking the kiss, Jim hugged his small body to his when he heard Rodie whisper into his ear. "Please do not ever leave me, I really need you Jim because you make me feel so normal now," Rodie's boyish voice wavered as his emotions started coming through. "I will not leave you, not if I can help it Rodie, because I need you more. You have given me a reason to live again, so I promise to never leave you if I have any control over it." Jim said softly while returning Rodie's fierce embrace. Just then, Rodie let out a small high-pitched "eeek," as he quickly looked at the door. Jim reached over and pulled the covers over them just as Cathy knocked, then opened the door carrying two steaming mugs of coffee. "Good morning Cathy" Jim said while he blushed slightly. Rodie had quickly squirmed his way under the covers until he was almost in the middle of the bed. "Good Morning Jim...Rodie! It is just me; I cannot see why you are hiding under there like that! I peeked in on you both last night when I got home and I saw you both, so come out from under there before I spill this everywhere." Cathy exclaimed as she held out a cup to Jim until he took it. "Rodie come out here right now!" Cathy demanded. "MOM! I can't...umm...I am not wearing anything! I'm naked mom!" Rodie explained embarrassingly. "I already know that you silly goose! If I were going to say something about it, I would have done so last night when I saw your naked little butt asleep on top of Jim. I really don't want to assume what you both did last night Jim." Cathy said as she looked at Jim with an inquiring expression. "Well we did not do anything like that if that is what you're thinking Cathy. He is much too young to consider intercourse yet. What really happened was that I helped him work through some very personal problems he was unable to work out for himself," Jim answered truthfully while he blushed slightly. Watching Jim intently, then her features softening, Cathy looked back at the lump under the covers that represented Rodie and said. "Please Rodie! You are just acting silly now. Besides, it is time you grow up a little because we have a lot of decisions to make, now come out from there right now!" Cathy insisted. It must have been in her tone of voice that suddenly got Rodie's attention because his head popped out from under the blankets, staring intently at her while taking his coffee from her. He carefully sat his cup down on the nightstand on his side of the bed, after taking a quick sip before he turned to continue his stare. At the same time, he gripped the covers to his chin while blushing prettily as she stared right back him. "You sold our trailer, mom? Why?" He asked with a confused look on his face. "Well it seems we no longer need it, besides I need the money for something more important. Come here cause I know you can sense it and you will understand." Cathy answered him while Jim had no idea what they were discussing really. Then quite deliberately Rodie jumped up onto his knees while reaching forward and grabbing his mother's hand not caring as the covers fell away revealing his nakedness and aroused state. Just as quickly, Jim saw the tears start streaming down his face as he continued to stare into his mother's eyes. "We are going home tomorrow? Why mom?" Rodie said in a voice scarcely higher than a whisper. "We have to Rodie." Cathy replied as she wiped his eyes with her free hand before hugging him close. She looked at Jim, then back at Rodie before saying, "but I won't know how long we will remain there until Jim and you quit tickling each other long enough to come and talk to Eddie and me." Cathy answered him with a smirk on her face while her eyes remained incredibly soft as she continued to wipe his tears away. "MOM! All we were doing was just talking is all, REALLY!" Rodie exclaimed indignantly as he put his small hands on his bare hips. "I see, then was that what all the giggling was about then, or was there something else that was the cause, hmm?" Cathy said as she pointed down at Rodie's erection, then while Rodie blushed red, she looking at Jim she said, "Eddie and I really would like to talk to you as soon as you can find the time Jim." "Give us a few minutes to shower and get dressed then we will be right out ok," Jim told her. With a twinkle in her eyes she turned back to Rodie, "I put some fresh clothes for you over there, Rodie, now hurry up and get dressed. Unless you want to show off your nice tan to everybody," she said while lightly touching the visible tan line on his lower belly just above his now softening penis. Suddenly as if someone flipped a switch, Rodie's modesty returned, he squeaked another "eeek" then quickly covered his hairless groin with both hands while blushing bright red. Cathy laughed lightly and winked at Jim before she walked out of the room closing the door behind her. With a smile, Jim looked at Rodie, "that must have been awfully important for you to bare it all to a girl!" Jim said with a chuckle as Rodie looked quickly at him while blushing even more. He then lunged at Jim, grabbing him around the neck, pretending to choke him. "How could you let her see my pee-pee when it was hard," Rodie exclaimed in mock fury. "Oh, I think lil' Rodie decided to introduce himself to her all on his own. You saw how he was jumping up and down until she noticed him didn't you?" Jim explained with a smirk on his face. Rodie blushed a little, then looked down at his small penis, as it bobbed up and down slightly, as it was erect once more. Looking back at Jim, Rodie started giggling as he put his arms around Jim's neck and kissing him. "Come on you `Horn Dawg', let us get showered and dressed so we can find out what your mom wants," Jim told Rodie. Jim then kissed Rodie's upturned nose and stood up. He headed into the bathroom and lifted the toilet seat before letting loose a hot stream of piss into the bowl. Rodie walked in and stood beside him as he aimed his hard 3-inch penis down and started peeing also. Once they had relieved themselves, they both brushed their teeth. Jim lathered up his face while Rodie watched, then after he finished Explaining everything he was doing, Jim lathered up Rodie's face and proceeded in teaching him how to shave, and then Rodie followed Jim into the shower. As Jim washed Rodie's long black hair, Rodie asked "Jim what was that jug thingy last night?" "Oh that, it is call a portable urinal, they have men and boys use it in the hospital when they can't get out of bed to go to the bathroom. The only other way is to get a Foley tube put into your bladder." Jim answered him as he applied conditioner to Rodie's hair. "What's a Foley tube Jim?" Rodie asked curiously while Jim worked the conditioner through his hair. "It is a tube they put into your pee-pee. It goes into your bladder and is attached to a bag so that your pee does not build or and you don't pee the bed." Jim explained as Rodie giggled. "I like this Jim...my daddy never did anything like this you know. My mom used to give me baths until I was four I think. After that I did it myself." Rodie said in a content voice as Jim was now gently washing his small body with the body sponge. "Well this is just my opinion now surf boy, so don't quote me on it. I believe that it is a man's duty to teach his son, or any boy for that matter, about all of the things he will need to know when he is grown. Not just things like where babies come from, but to teach a boy about everything. Love, sex, personal hygiene and grooming, moral and social standards also. I also believe that a man should love his child no matter what his child decides to do with his life, like if he is gay, or wants to join the clergy. That is his decision, a man or father should have enough faith in the value of everything he taught his son. Knowing that value will show in whatever he chooses, that he will make him proud. Can you understand that my love?" Jim said. "Yeah, I do understand Jim, and I agree with you." Turning around and hugging Jim tightly, Rodie looked at Jim as tears welled up in his eyes and said. "You are more of a father to me than my daddy has ever been to me Jim." Jim smiled as he hugged Rodie tightly as his own tears started to fall down his face. With a warm feeling throughout him Jim kissed Rodie on the lips to express his gratefulness to the honor Rodie had given him by equating him to father status. I would be proud to be your father Rodie, and proud to have a son like you. Since I can not be your father, I will settle for your love if you will settle for mine. Now lets hurry up so we don't look like prunes when we see your mother," Jim explained as he slapped Rodie's pert butt making him squeal. After they finished showering, they dried off and dressed before Jim ran a comb and brush through Rodie's long damp hair. Rodie kissed him once more after Jim finished before they walked out to the living room carrying their coffee mugs. Seeing Eddie sitting on the couch while Cathy sat across from him on the love seat, Jim greeted them as he sat in the recliner. "Good Morning to you both, we did not even realize you were here," he said as Rodie moved quietly and sat by his mother. "Oh we could tell Jim, although HE sounded like he was enjoying himself quite a bit more than you, Jim," Cathy said pointing at Rodie. "MOM!" Rodie said loudly as he blushed a deep red. Seeing Eddie and Cathy laughing; Jim watched as Rodie blushed in embarrassment, he then saw the tears that started to trickle down his red face. Rodie looked towards Jim, and Jim replied silently to him, "it's ok beautiful, come here." Rodie stood, ran over to Jim, and climbed quickly into Jim's lap burying his head into Jim's shoulder as he started to cry softly. "They are just having a little fun teasing you is all, they really don't mean it so don't get upset my love." Jim said softly to Rodie, as he saw Eddie and Cathy stop laughing as Rodie ran to Jim. "I'm sorry honey, I was only teasing you, it is ok, so don't cry, I promise I will not do it anymore," Cathy said softly as she got up and knelt beside Rodie as he cried quietly into Jim's shoulder. "Sometimes I forget how sensitive he really is Jim," Cathy explained to them. Rodie lifted his head, turned his tear-streaked face to his mother, and allowed her to pick him up as he cried into her shoulder now as he hugged her tightly. "I don't want to leave mom...Jim needs me and he loves me...and I love and need him too...please mom...don't make me leave...please." Rodie said quietly as he continued to cry into her shoulder while Cathy sat on the loveseat and held him. "I know you don't want to leave him honey, that is why we need to talk now, but we still have a home in Virginia, and what about all your friends there?" Cathy asked him. Rodie lifted his head and looked her in the eyes for a few moments before replying. Jim watched as his face showed first love and understanding to his mom, then sadness, and defeat, and finally utter despair. "I don't have any friends back home...I am so lonely mom. I cannot do this again, I can't live so alone like that anymore. I will not live alone again, not ever now that I have found Jim. I don't want to be alone anymore, mom...I won't be alone anymore with Jim...please?" Rodie said as his tears flowed while his face showed how truly isolated he had become since his father's betrayal, before he let her gently guide his head back to her shoulder. With tears of understanding in her eyes now, Cathy replied, "I know baby, I know. I never could understand why you decided to separate yourself from everyone all of the sudden. I wanted to help you so much, but you would not let me. I saw how painfully alone you were becoming, and I wanted to help you so badly, but you kept pushing me away. I know the truth now honey, and I can help...if you will let me this time. I don't care what others might think, I just want you to be happy is all. I know Jim is who you need to be with Rodie. But I need your help if I will be able to make you happy dear." Cathy gently explained to Rodie as she comforted him. "How can you help me be happy if you're taking me away from Jim?" Rodie asked after raising his head to look at her with a confused expression while continuing to cry. "Well if you live here with Jim only, people will start asking questions when they don't see you doing anything other boys do. They will also wonder what a single man is doing when a young boy who is not related to him suddenly moves in and lives with him. So we need some valid reason to stay here so it won't make others suspicious, and you need your stuff if you are going to live here too, don't you?" Cathy said as Rodie looked at her with a surprised look on his face. "Really mom? You mean I can live here with Jim forever?" Rodie asked quietly. "Well that is up to Jim really, but if he says yes, then it is ok with me also," Cathy answered as she rubbed noses with Rodie making him smile. Jim watched this, and seeing Rodie with his mother, he knew that he could not let Rodie lose his mother just to be with him. "I'm sorry Cathy, but Rodie can't live here with me..." Jim interjected quickly. Rodie looked sharply at Jim with a stunned expression on his face as if he had been slapped, and Cathy was about to protest his quick decision when Jim continued. "Let me finish before both of you say anything alright. Now Rodie, could you live here with me without your mother being here with you?" Jim asked the bewildered young boy. Rodie thought for a few long moments, his face had a small frown of concentration on it. He looked back at Jim with his bottom lip quivering, then slowly shook his head "no" as tears shone in his eyes then started to spill down his cheeks again. "Exactly what I thought Rodie. So Cathy that means that I move in either with you or both of you move in with me. I promised never to leave him, and I will keep that promise," Jim told Cathy. "I was thinking the same thing Jim," Cathy responded. "That's why I want to talk to you, Eddie and I came up with an idea that we want to run by you. If you like it, it means taking a risk but financial success also, and it gives us a valid reason to live here with you. That works for all four of us, really. You and Eddie, have an excellent investment, I have a challenge with my new business while raising Rodie, and Rodie gets to be with you and me," Cathy said with a smile. Rodie smiled first at his mom, then looked hopefully at Jim, as he still sat in her lap with his arms around her neck as he rested his head against her as she gently wiped his face with a tissue. Eddie and Cathy took turns explaining their business plan to change Cathy's deli into a gourmet franchise. After listening to what they had to say and then asking his own questions Jim finally asked them "Well it seems like you have this pretty well planned out, what do you need me for then?" Eddie smiled as he looked at Cathy then faced Jim before replying in a droll tone of voice. "My dear, dear friend, we need you because of your filthy rich status, Mr. Moneybags!" Eddie said flippantly. Laughing at him Jim said, "oh I get it now, I'm the `Financier', in this relationship?" "Well someone has to be, I was blessed with the brains and style, so you got the looks and the cash ok." Eddie replied like a therapist pointing out deficiencies in someone. "How much to get this plan moving?" Jim asked. "Brace yourself, I would tell you to sit down but you already are, we figure a million to make it work Jim," Eddie replied seriously. "A million!" Jim exclaimed, Cathy watched him with a very worried expression while Rodie tilted his head for a moment then smiled. "I thought you were going to ask for a lot of money there for a moment," Jim replied smiling at Rodie and his mother who both looked confused. Jim looked at Cathy and explained, "After my accident I was awarded 5.5 million in damages, Eddie introduced me to one of his friends who handled it for me. It turns out that he is one of the most successful financial managers on Wall Street. I am worth just over $50 million today." Rodie's mouth fell open in disbelief when Jim said that. "It is true Cathy, Jim is very wealthy, this was our original home, but he moved back last year because he wanted to be alone. I think he would not have lived to see next spring if Rodie and you had not come to save him," Eddie explained seriously. "This isn't your real house Jim?" Rodie asked while looking intently at him. "No it isn't Rodie, Eddie and I have lived together since we left home 20 years ago. We had a home custom built for us, and he has stayed there for the last year by himself while I stayed here. If you live with me, we will live at our home and not here except for summer. This place will freeze a person to death in wintertime," Jim explained to them. "But if your rich you should live in like a huge mansion and have a gazillion bodyguards and stuff shouldn't you?" Rodie while his eyes were wide with disbelief still. "I don't have to Rodie, and I am glad now that I don't because I would have never met you then if I did." Jim said to Rodie as his face showed the love he felt for the small boy who was sitting in his mother's lap. "What's it look like Jim?" Rodie asked in shy voice. "It is quite a bit larger than here Rodie, but I think it would be better if you saw it for yourself. Unless you haven't cleaned the place Eddie," Jim said in a teasing voice to Eddie. "Oh sure Jim, just cause you have to peel off an occasional pair a briefs that have stuck to the wall, you now consider me a slob, WELL! REALLY NOW!" Eddie exclaimed with a shocked and injured expression on his face that was highly exaggerated. "Can we go see it now Jim?" Rodie asked seriously. Thinking for a moment before he replied, Jim thought about the previous night's events and decided he needed to speak with Cathy alone first. "No in a little while ok. I was thinking you could go with Eddie to the `Dunkin Doughnuts' and get breakfast for all of us," Jim suggested. With Rodie looking at him intently again, Jim heard in his mind. "You want me to go so you can talk to mom alone right?" Rodie asked. Jim silently replied, "yes, I need to discuss some things with her ok surf boy? So why don't you go with Eddie and get us some doughnuts for breakfast." "You aren't going to tell her that you kissed my pee-pee are you?" Rodie asked silently as Jim felt suspicion dripping from the question. "Well you seemed to enjoy it you know, I don't know exactly what I will say. However, I was going to tell her about that, just in case she didn't move here, so that way she would know what you liked." Jim thought back while he surpressed his laughter. "You better not!" Was Rodie's response, "if you tell her that I'd have to hurt ya!" "Just go please, I need to talk to her alone." Jim thought with a chuckle, "Eddie why don't you take Rodie and go get us some doughnuts for breakfast. You can even use my car if you like." Jim said while seeing Eddie nod then saw Rodie kiss his mom before slipping out of her lap. "Thanks for the offer Jim, but I'm driving my cat today instead of using your car," Eddie answered as he moved to the stairs. "You are driving a cat?" Rodie asked in a dumbfounded voice while looking at Eddie then towards Jim. "He means his Jaguar Rodie," Jim answered. "You have a Jaguar Eddie? That is so kewl!" Rodie said in an excited voice as he moved over to Eddie at the stairs. "Yep, sure do surf boy. So why don't we go see if she feels like running for awhile," Eddie explained as he guided Rodie down the steps. Jim heard them leave and waited until he heard Eddie drive away before turning his attention to Cathy. "Would you some more coffee before we talk Jim?" Cathy asked, then standing and taking Jim's cup as he nodded in agreement. Once she returned with fresh coffee and seated herself Jim looked at her and said in a serious tone. "I am positive Rodie is suffering from PTS syndrome Cathy. It would explain his reaction the other day to John, and his increasing isolation of himself." Cathy looked at him and replied, "Yes, I believe you are right Jim, I don't know if he has told you, but he told me that his father started sexually molesting him when he was 7 years old. He never did anything else other than have anal intercourse with Rodie. I don't think he fully realized how much Rodie could sense his thoughts though Jim," Cathy explained as she sipped her coffee. "I see, tell me Cathy, how much do you know about your son's talents?" Jim asked her. "Well actually quite a bit more than Rodie thinks I know about him Jim, it seems to be a family trait on my side of the family. My mother could do it, and so could her mother as can I, but Rodie is much more powerful than we are with his abilities. I can sense Rodie's thoughts like I could with my mother, and sense other people's feelings if I am close to them. The same way my mother and grandmother could do so also," Cathy explained. "While Rodie can sense both feelings and thoughts from anyone he is around. And his abilities get stronger as he gets older." "Did you know he can communicate with someone if he chooses too," Jim asked her. "He can do that now Jim? He has advanced farther than I imagined, and much sooner than I expected," Cathy replied considering this revelation. Jim thought for a long moment then said to Cathy, "I would not say anything to anyone about this other than to tell Rodie. It is hard enough for him to conceal his talents, which is one of the reasons he does not make or keep friends. He is young and he slips up when he is comfortable. It is not enough to give his talents away, but enough to make someone question him about it. It frightens him enough to keep himself at a distance from everyone," Jim concluded to Cathy. "I also want to ease your concern about Rodie and myself," Jim said as he watched Cathy. "Oh you don't need to do that Jim, what goes on between the both of you is none of my business," Cathy replied nervously as she looked away and sipped her coffee. "Come on Cathy, do I look like I was born yesterday?" Jim told her, "if you did not worry about the sexual aspect of our relationship you would not be his mother." "All right, I admit that anal intercourse worries me, but it is his decision not mine, I just did not think it would happen so soon is all," Cathy explained to Jim. "Well it didn't happen Cathy, and it won't for a long time because he is just too small right now. He already has scars physically and mentally from what his father has done to him, which I suspected that he had been abusing Rodie since he was in preschool. If I tried to have sex with him now, it could cause severe and most likely permanent damage to his anus and rectum. Although I am not positive about that, so I am leaning on the side of caution to guide me concerning that. In addition, the mental and emotional damage something like that can cause as well. Therefore, I promise you that I will be certain that it will not hurt him. I think it will be quite awhile before we ever do something like that. I also have a different reason for allowing him to bring me this quickly into sex play with him. Right now, from what I can judge, Rodie equates what his father did to him as love and he is very confused because of it. Moreover, from what he has told me, his father only performed anal intercourse, as you just told me, on him while blaming him for making him do it and saying he only did it because he loved him. I know that intercourse can be very enjoyable and satisfying creating a natural desire for it, but Rodie does not know that nor does he understand that right now. All he knows is that he wants it but is afraid of the pain it causes at the same time. Last night I could see the desire in him, uh, I do not want to embarrass you but I do not know any other way to say this Cathy. Well, when Rodie and I were in the middle of our foreplay, I touched his anus with my finger and it sent him into a panic attack. He did not want me to stop even pleading for me not to stop, but he also kept begging me not to hurt him as his father used to hurt him until he was hysterical. I have never seen a child so confused about anal intercourse and sex in general before. He desperately wanted it, yet was completely terrified of it at the same time," Jim said as he stared at his cup with tears in his eyes. "I see Jim, I can sense how he was as you remember it," Cathy replied gently. "I can not do what Rodie is able to do, I can only sense what you feel as you remember the events of last night. So what did you do once he became hysterical?" Jim looked at her with new respect because of her understanding of him and of Rodie. "It took me well over an hour to calm him down Cathy, I just kept scooping the warm water of the Jacuzzi on him and held him while I comforted him. Once he was calm, I told him what I thought was wrong with him, about him suffering from PTS. As I spoke I could see his desire, and saw how it grew the more relaxed he became until finally he gave into his desire. He completely let all of his defenses down, revealing all of his talents and memories to me while almost begging me to have sex with him, no matter how painful it would be to him. I could not do that though, not without causing more traumas to him that he already has. So I did the only thing I could think of," Jim explained quietly. "What may have that been Jim?" Cathy asked already sensing the answer. "Uh, well," Jim hesitated as he blushed, "I, um, gave him a blowjob, performed oral sex on him" Jim admitted embarrassingly, as he looked at his hands like a schoolchild who had been caught doing something wrong. Cathy gave a light little laugh before answering him, "Oh I expect that it was much more than that Jim, but it is close enough for me to get the idea." Jim had to laugh with her realizing that she knew the truth because she could sense it in a similar way Rodie could. He now knew that she had known about him probably before Rodie had brought her over to meet him. Sensing something as Jim explained what had occurred between Rodie and him the night before, Cathy asked him about it once they settled down from their laughing. "So what happened that shocked you but you are not telling me Jim?" She said as she took another drink from her coffee. Thinking back to the previous night, Jim answered, "oh that, well Rodie is so small and shows no signs of being in puberty yet. However he is able to ejaculate which surprised me Cathy." "He can? Really? Nevertheless, he is just a small boy being only ten years old. Do you think I should have a doctor check him over Jim?" Cathy replied with some concern in her voice. "Well if you ask me, Rodie would never forgive you if you took him to see a doctor because he can cum Cathy, or me for telling you about it. Once he finds out that I told you about kissing his pee-pee as he says I'm in trouble." Jim told her with a smile on his face. Smiling at herself for even suggesting the idea, Cathy said, " your right Jim, I'll inform the doctor quietly next time I take Rodie for his physical. Which brings me to what we are going to do with the new school year after summer is over." Cathy asked as she looked at Jim. "I do not know Cathy, but we have two months to figure it out together. Let us just get him settled in here and we can deal with these problems then ok. I do want to ask you something now that I know you have some of the same talent Rodie has. Can he read your thoughts like he can everyone else's Cathy?" Jim asked her. "No, I do not believe he can Jim, he can shield his thoughts from me as I can from him. However if he could, I think he would not try to read my thoughts without my knowledge or approval. He just senses my feelings is all; he does that unconsciously to everyone. And I agree, let us get us moved and settled before contemplating future problems," Cathy explained just as they both heard the garage door opening. "Ok what did you two say about me?" Rodie asked as he came up the steps carrying a box of doughnuts. "You will have to ask your mother Rodie," Jim answered him. Then seeing Rodie's head tilt as he stared at Jim, Jim quickly pictured the image of a cinder block and saw Rodie frown at him. "Oh no you don't, I will think about that block all day if you try that again. Remember that you said you wouldn't do that also," Jim said to Rodie who looked downward at his feet as if he was being scolded. "I'm sorry Jim, I promise not to do that without your permission, I guess it is sort of a habit now." Rodie said as he put the box on the coffee table and then stood in front of Jim looking apologetic. "Come here beautiful," Jim said holding his arms open as Rodie quickly climbed into his lap and hugged him. Rodie then kissed Jim on the lips then rubbed his nose against Jim's as he smiled happily. "You have me wrapped around your finger you know that don't you," Jim said to the smiling imp he was holding in his arms. "I know, but you love me anyway right," Rodie asked with a devilish grin on his small face. They all laughed at that as Cathy got them more coffee and a glass of milk for Rodie. "What no coffee for you surf boy?" Eddie asked him seeing the milk mustache on his face. "I like my doughnuts and cookies with milk is all," Rodie answered him as he selected a maple-iced doughnut and smiling shyly at Eddie as he blushed. Watching both of them and of Rodie's reaction, Jim was suspicious immediately as to what went on while they went to get the doughnuts. Eddie saw Jim watching him and smiled before winking at him as he bit into a Boston creme doughnut. "Alright Rodie, this is what I was thinking we would do. We get our things packed and stowed away and leave first thing in the morning. No keeping him up late, you hear me Jim." Cathy said looking sternly at Jim then around the room. There was a moment of silence before Eddie, Jim, and Rodie started laughing together. Cathy looked at them all with an irritated look. "What is it with you three?" Cathy demanded at them. "Hahahaha...ummm...mom...there is some sugar on your face." Rodie said trying to keep a straight face but failing horribly. Cathy touched her face on the corner of her mouth, then seeing the white powder on her fingers. She raised the napkin to her mouth and started to laugh at herself. "Jesus, I must look like a clown to all of you," Cathy exclaimed as she wiped her face as she laughed with them. Rodie sat his doughnut and milk down and went over sitting beside her. "I love you mom," he said as he reached up and gently wiped a spot she had missed with his napkin. Cathy reached out and hugged him tightly while she kissed his forehead. "I love you too baby. I always will love you no matter what happens. I am so proud of you, you do know that don't you honey," Cathy told Rodie with love and tenderness in her voice. Rodie gladly accepted his mothers affections not being embarrassed by it like other boys. Cathy held him for a while longer then looked into his soft green and gold eyes. "Look, I really don't need you to help me pack up everything ok. Why don't you spend the time with Jim because you only have what is left of today and tonight. I hope that we will only be gone for a week or two at the most, but I can not promise that to you. I know it will be hard for both of you, but say your good-byes and be ready to go in the morning ok." Cathy said to Rodie and Jim. "Ok mom, I will be ready in the morning," Rodie told her softly. Cathy then said goodbye to Eddie and headed towards the kitchen when Rodie suddenly called out "Mom!" and she stopped. Running over to her and jumping into her arms while tears ran down his face, he hugged her fiercely. "Thanks mom...I love you so much." Rodie said to her in her mind, the first time that he had ever done that with her. "I know you do honey, and you are my life sweetie. I will do anything to make you happy, and Jim makes you happy. So go and be happy Rodie because you deserve to be," Cathy thought back to him, feeling his surprise when she did. Cathy then kissed him again and set him on his feet before wiping his tears away. She then turned and left the house as Rodie watched until she was gone. Rodie then turned and walked to Jim, who looked at him with understanding in his eyes, he then held open his arms as Rodie climbed up into his lap and laid his head onto Jim's chest. "I am going to go help Cathy Jim, if you need me call my cell ok Bro," Eddie said. He then got up and patted Jim on the shoulder and said, "See you in a two weeks surf boy." "Bye Eddie, thanks for helping mom ok," Rodie replied quietly. Rodie then watched the tall blond man that he now considered a friend as he left. Once Eddie was gone, Rodie snuggled with Jim and thought about everything. As he was thinking Jim said, "a penny for your thoughts my love." "I was just thinking how everything is changing now. Mom is doing all of this for me isn't she? And I don't know if she should Jim," Rodie replied softly to Jim. "Yes she is doing all of this for you, but for herself also Rodie. She is your mother, and it hurts her just as much when she sees you so alone, frightened, and unhappy. She is doing only what any other mother would do for their child's well being and happiness. She can see that we need each other, but do not worry about her. Because I believe she will be much happier now also, you wait and see." Jim explained to Rodie as he softly rubbed his back and arms. "What about tomorrow Jim? I have to go home so mom can take care of things there. She don't know how long it is going to take." Rodie said in a soft voice as he leaned against Jim. "I know, but don't worry, your mom will do everything as fast as she can so both of you can return. Just think of what has to be done though. She has to get her business matters organized, then she has to pack all of your belongings and put them in storage for now until you both can be settled here. Finally she has to decide what to do with the house too, and she is going to need you to help her Rodie. At the very least, you are going to have to be her support so she can get everything done," Jim explained as he rocked gently back and forth in the recliner. I know Jim...and I know it is selfish of me, but...I don't want to leave you," Rodie said as he sat up looking at Jim's face. "I know, I don't want to be without you either, but let's worry about that later ok," Jim told him as he smiled as Rodie straddled Jim's lap. He then put his small arms around Jim's neck and kissed him softly. His small tongue questing for Jim's until he found it. Jim slid his hands up under Rodie's shirt and gently ran his thumbs over Rodie's tiny nipples causing Rodie to breathe in sharply breaking the kiss. "So what do you want to do surf boy?" Jim asked Rodie. Smiling shyly and blushing slightly Rodie replied with a naughty giggle, "let's go back to bed." In response to Rodie's request, Jim stood up with Rodie in his arms, then walked back into his bedroom and closing the door. End Chapter 5, more to follow.
