Chapter 29: Need to know.

When we woke up, it was around midday. Mike and Jay had already dressed
and were watching TV. As usual, I was completely hard and having Sean's
body so close to mine wasn't helping at all. I could also feel his hard
cock against my leg.

"Good morning," I whispered before kissing him on his forehead.

"Morning," He said after kissing me on the lips.

"I'm having enough trouble trying to get up without you doing that."

"Then don't get up. We can wait."

"I don't think so."

"How about a shower?"

"Not with them around!" We were both still whispering.

"You'll be living with Mike, might as well get used to the idea."

"I'm not going to walk around the place hard, not now, not ever."

"Come on, let's have a shower?" Those puppy eyes again.

"Slut!"

"You know you'll say yes."

"Don't bet on it!"

"When you go, I'll be right after you."

"Slut."

"I know you want to…"

"Ok, but I don't want them to see us like this."

"Get rid of them." And he slid his hand down my chest, to the slit of my
boxers, pulling my foreskin back and forth.

"Oh... please stop that." But I really didn't want him to. "Ok, ok.
Morning, guys!"

"Morning." Came Jay's greeting.

"Sleep ok?" I asked.

"Yeah, thanks." Mike said.

"Would any of you be so kind as to start making breakfast?"

"I'll do it" Mike said, and I gave Jay a look as to say "go with him."

As soon as they turned their backs to us, I jumped out of bed and ran to
the bathroom. Sean was right behind me. As soon as the door was closed,
he began giggling, a devious spark in his eyes. He came close to me and
wrapped his arms around my back, pulling me closer. We kissed, softly at
first, hungrily a few seconds later. I ran my hands up and down his back
a few times, and then I placed my fingers in the waistband of his shorts
and started pulling down. We disengaged long enough for both of us to
take our T-shirts and boxers. We were both standing naked in front of
each other. I wanted him. He wanted me.

"What now?" I said as I felt his tongue on my neck. He knows what that
does to me.

"Let's shower." He's voice was lustful.

"And?" I was stroking his butt, our cocks firmly pressed against each
other.

"We'll see…" He lowered himself and bit my left nipple tenderly.

"We can't take too long."

"I don't need much time." Sean said with a heavy breath.

"Neither do I. You sure got me going today."

"I'm not about to miss a chance. Friday is too far away."

"We could get together sooner than that." I licked his ear lobe.

"Sometimes we can, sometimes we can't."

"Things may be different from now on. Get the shower going."

He turned around and I started licking down his spine. He shuddered. We
got into the shower, under the hot water. We were kissing like madmen.
But we really didn't have much time. I went right for the money. I
dropped to my knees in front of him. Took his cock in my hand and started
stroking. Licking the head every so often. My other hand moved to his
back. My wet finger traced his crack and circled around his hole. It went
in easily. He spread his legs a little wider. He was loving it. I took
him into my mouth and started working furiously on him. He moaned. I
lifted my hand to his mouth and stuck a finger in it. He went crazy on
it. Between the sensation up his ass and my tongue working on the head of
his cock, it didn't take long. Four volleys of cum poured into my mouth
and I swallowed it all. We disengaged while I got up. We kissed again,
his taste still in my mouth.

I turned around and spread my ass cheeks apart. He understood and dropped
down to his knees. I always like this in the shower. He started licking
and poking with his tongue all over and around my hole. One of my hands
was against the wall, the sensation too much to stand still on my own.
His other hand was around my straining cock. He was milking me for all
his worth.

"Now!" I gasped, turning around.

He took my swollen head into his mouth and just the heat and moisture
around my cock triggered the inevitable. I clenched my teeth trying to
dampen the sounds of my ecstasy. He licked my cock clean while he
caressed my drained balls. We embraced once again, under the hot shower.
We didn't stop kissing until I turned off the water.

I dried him slowly and gently. Admiring his beauty. His perfect, smooth,
unblemished skin. I kissed him on his shoulder, while I dried his chest
from behind. He repeated the same on me, kissing my neck.

"How much longer will they be in there?" Jay pondered out loud.

"Who knows?"

"Breakfast is ready!!" Jay shouted.

"Shh! Leave them alone."

"Like I don't know what they're doing in there!"

"I know, just let them do as they want."

"I hate when I have to pretend that nothing's going on."

"Just let them be. You know they don't like being teased about it."

"I'll do whatever I feel like. Besides, you're the one who can't bring
himself to talk about sex."

"I don't see why you have to point that out every time one of us has
sex," Mike glared.

"Ok, ok. I'll keep my damn mouth shut. You happy now?"

We came out of the bathroom wearing the same clothes we wore to bed. The
moment Jay saw us, he started clapping, and I could feel my face turn
bright red, probably the same color as Sean's as we walked in the
kitchen. Nobody made a comment about it, it was something we didn't do,
but Mike slapped Jay on the back of his head. He looked mad.

We had breakfast without any incident, chatting about music, trashing
Britney Spears, pointing out a couple of cute guys from boy bands. Then
we played a while on my Playstation. Around three, Sean and I got
dressed. It was a sunny, warm day, so we just wore shorts and T-shirts. I
was wearing blue rugby shorts, Sean was wearing the same in white. Looked
very good on him, I know he likes how they look on me too.

It was a particularly bright day, so I took my sunglasses. Jay couldn't
stop making comments on them, so I made him wear them too. Everyone had
worn my sunglasses at some point. We arrived at the flat around four.
Sean and Jay left to get the keys, hoping that his parents wouldn't be
around to question them. Being Sunday, they were probably at the club
with Martin and Johnny. That left Mike with me, looking at the building
in front of us.

"You don't seem very thrilled with the whole thing." He said without
looking at me.

"Believe me, I am. But we still have to talk to your parents. I'll feel a
lot better after we talk to them."

"What could go wrong?" He asked, turning to look at me.

"Lot's of things." I breathed out.

"Like what? Both my Dad and Mom are ok with it. We just have to work out
the details with them. They really are ok with this." Mike reassured me.

"I know," I smiled, "but I still don't want to keep my hopes too high"

"Is there something you're not telling me? Are you having second
thoughts?"

"Not at all. I really want this. More than I can explain. That's why I'm
being cautious" -And let's not forget that your father might kill me
tonight- I thought.

"I'm very happy about this, and my job. I really want this." He said.

"You should be happy. I'm sure it will work out."

Sean came back with the keys, but Jay wasn't with him.

"Where's Jay?" I asked.

"Said he had stuff to do. He says he's sorry he couldn't stay."

"Weird." I said looking at Mike. He just shrugged.

Mike got the keys from Sean, and I must admit, they weren't the only ones
hyper excited to go up and check the place out.

The entrance hall was pretty impressive. Not too brightly lit and
tastefully decorated in the classical style. The lifts were at the end of
the hall. The stairs were beside them, and under it, there was a door
that I was sure belonged to the super. The lifts were carpeted and
although the structure of the building was fairly old, everything had
been restored, including the lifts.

Finally, the sixth floor. The door in front of it belonged to our "maybe
future neighbors", and the one beside the lift was our "maybe future
apartment". The door was opened and the three of us walked inside. The
side door to the kitchen was open and there you could see the first signs
that nobody was using this place. The fridge's door was ajar, and there
was nothing except for the furniture on sight. The sink was dry and, as I
checked, the gas had been cut off.

The dinning room looked exactly like the last time I had seen it, and the
adjacent room was completely empty. Everything in the living room was
covered with sheets, holding back the dust.

Next were the bedrooms. The bedroom down the hall was obviously the
master bedroom. To the right, a closet with sliding doors, the double bed
was in the middle of the room, opposite to the door and to the other
side, under the window, a chest of drawers.

The bathroom was big, the only thing I didn't really like about it was
that it was totally sky-blue. "It could be worse," I thought, "it could
have been pink." The other room was just as big as the other, only it had
two single beds, closet, chest of drawers in front of the beds and a
window across from the door.

All in all, it was a great pad! I loved it. It had a lot of potential.
But I had a few thoughts on it.

"Time for decisions?" I called.

"Go ahead." Mike said.

"Well, first, the rooms. I think you should use the master bed-room, I'll
take the other."

"What about the beds?" Sean asked.

"I'll have to get a double one and a new mattress. Probably one of those
that can be disassembled."

"Yeah, easier to get it up here, not so much with the mattress." Mike
laughed.

"It can be done, the stairs seem wide enough."

"What else?"

"Well, I have a few ideas, how about you?"

"I don't know. The place is pretty well set up. Maybe the little room?"

"What about it?"

"Well, there's no room for a desk in any room without cutting a lot of
space. There's only enough space to walk around the beds, but not much
more. I always worked here on the dinning room table, but I never needed
room to store school stuff and such. Maybe it could become like an
office, you could put your computer in there."

"Sounds great, maybe I can do something to my desk, it's pretty big and
we could work from both sides of it."

We spent more than two hours, dreaming about all the things we'd like to
do and change. I was starting to get pretty excited about the whole
thing. It was a great place, and with a few touches here and there, it
could be awesome. We really had no use for any of the pictures and stuff
hanging from the walls, but after taking a few things out, I could tell
that the walls needed to be painted. The walls were white, and after who
knows how many years, you could see the difference between the white
behind the pictures and the not so white of the rest.

I had a few ideas for the "office." It was just a six by nine foot room,
nothing in it. I thought that I could put some shelves in the back wall.
The kitchen was fully equipped, even with a washer and a drier, nothing
needed to be changed there, and the dinning room was perfect just the way
it was. The wooden rectangular table and chairs were keepers; maybe a few
things from the living room could stay. Mike said we should keep the
couch, but I was afraid that we might ruin it. It was a very good couch,
maybe some covers or something like that, avoiding the stains that we
were bound to make on the poor couch.

All the planning and daydreaming had us all very excited. We were having
the time of our lives, and I'm sure we could see us living there already.
But as we realized the time, I remembered that this was not yet ours.
Quite possibly never would. We got ready to leave after putting
everything back the way it was. As we came out, we met a man who lived on
the other flat. He had a disgusted look on his face. I knew what he was
thinking. Probably in the line of "Bloody hell! I'll have to put up with
kids and their annoying habits!" I told the guys about it while we went
down.

"Imagine if he knew what kind of kids!" Sean started laughing.

"He must never know!" I said very seriously "So we'll have to keep the
howling and moaning of our pagan orgies to a minimum!" We all cracked up.
We couldn't get enough of it, and I was sure that if we were lucky
enough, we would find ourselves arguing with this guy and his family
quite often. Poor bastard.

It had cooled down outside, and I found myself a little underdressed for
dinner with the guys’ parents.

"Think you can lend me a pair of jeans?" I asked.

"Don't worry, you don't need to get all dressed up."

"If you say so."

We walked the six blocks that separated the flat and their house. My mind
kept wondering what was in store for us. It could easily get ugly. Sarah
knew. How could she fully agree with this? What if she took the chance to
announce my relationship with Sean to her husband? And God knows what
kind of relationship she thinks we have!

I could feel a shiver down my spine the moment Sean put the key against
the keyhole. My stomach was turning, I was so nervous.

"Everything will be fine. Everything will be fine. Whatever happens,
don't back down, you have nothing to be ashamed of," I kept reassuring
myself, "Whatever happens, you can work it out. Just be yourself. They
like you."

"Like to see me dead!" Another part of me said.

"Breath." Mike told me with a smile "No one's going to bite your head
off."

"Unless Dad is really hungry." Sean joked, but he stopped smiling after
seeing the look on my face. He took my hand in his and squeezed gently. I
looked at him and smiled.

We walked in, the same entrance hall I walk into three times a week, but
the feeling was completely different. In the studio, sat Robert. The
figure I dreaded at that moment more than any other. Both of the guys
said their respective "hellos" and he got up to shake my hand.

"I'm very glad to see you, Steven." We shook hands, and I felt a little
relief. "Make yourself at home, Sarah will be here in a moment." Goodbye
relief. "So boys, you've been at the flat?"

"Yes, sir." I said in my most solemn tone.

"I think we are beyond sir, call me Rob."

"Ok, Rob." I mustered, and managed to force a smile.

"What do you think of it?" He asked me.

"Great place, lot's of possibilities," I said.

"Really?" He asked amused "Let's sit down and hear all about it!"

I started explaining about the office and putting up some shelves, about
the place needing to be painted, about what we thought we shouldn't keep,
and about where to put the TV's, stereos and such. I used my most solemn
tone about the whole thing, except when I told him about the bathroom. He
chuckled.

"Yeah, looks like a nursery with all that light blue. Those are very
ambitious changes you have in mind, but who's gonna do it?"

"I could." I said matter-of-factly.

"You think you can manage with all the painting on your own? That's a lot
of work, young man." If he was testing me, I was going to show him
exactly what I was capable of.

"Not really, it wouldn't be the first time. I've done all the work in my
own place and house. I'm used to hard work."

Rob raised an eyebrow. "Very impressive, but I suppose Mike would be
helping."

"Of course. He would take care of his room and help me with whatever I
need."

"You'd have to check up on his work all the time, he can be downright
sloppy sometimes."

"You'll have to wait and see." Mike retorted. Moving Rob's attention away
from me.

"Supposing we all come to an agreement, of course..." Rob said.

"Of course." Mike was as serious as I'd ever seen him.

Sarah came right after that and sat beside her husband.

"What have you been talking about?"

"Well dear, it seems we have a handyman over here, and he and our son
have lots of plans about fixing the place up. Both are willing to do all
the work on their own."

"Really?"

"If we get the flat, of course." Mike remained very serious.

"Of course!" Laughed his father. "Sean, don't you have anything to do
right now?"

"Not that I can think of."

"Then go check. We'd like to be alone."

"Yes SIR!" Sean saluted his father. Now I knew where Johnny had gotten
that.

"Well, now that we are alone, we can get down to business" Rob said.
"What makes you think you are ready for this responsibility?" He asked us
both.

"I've been living practically on my own for the last three years. I have
my own place apart from my family, but they still pay for everything. I
think it's time that I go my own way," I explained.

"I have been trying my best this year, and I think it would help me a lot
to learn about being a responsible adult." Mike added in his still solemn
tone.

His father chuckled. "That was very well rehearsed!"

"Robert!" Sarah nudged him.

"How do you plan to pay for everything, the taxes and all of that?" He
asked.

"I have my savings. I can get everything worked out pretty soon. As for
the taxes, we'd split everything in half, right?" I asked Mike with a
worried look. So much for planning! We never discussed how we would
handle stuff like that.

"Right. We would share all the work, the cost of food, the washing and
such."

"Except for ironing, I could really use some classes about that!" I said,
trying to change the mood.

"I'd be very glad to help you with that." Said Sarah as she placed her
hand on my knee and gave me a warm smile.

My mind raced. She was ok with it? With the moving? The rooming with
Mike? With Sean and I? Was she approving?! The world stopped turning for
the briefest of moments, and I suddenly felt so relieved. This was going
to work? Could it be? How grateful should I be? I'm getting everything I
want. Things couldn't get better. Mike was smiling when I looked at him,
I guess I was too. I felt like a child being treated to his favorite
candy.

"What about the rent?" Mike asked. "You're not going to make us pay you
rent, are you?"

"Why shouldn't we?" Rob said very seriously.

"Rob, quit toying with them! Of course we're not going to make you pay.
It’s our place and you're our son."

"But I'm not. I should pay you something."

"Of course not. That's out of the question." Sarah stood her ground.

"I'm sorry, but I can't accept that. You already pay me for tutoring your
sons, and I take great pleasure doing it, even..." Almost got too carried
away, "Even when your older sons are my best friends. I told you that I
wouldn't accept your money when you asked me to look after them last
summer. I'm not going to get paid for tutoring them and on top of it
getting a free apartment."

"You don't have to get all worked up. If we won't charge you for the
apartment, it's because we consider you a part of this family." She said.

I was shocked. I never expected that, especially not from her. I turned
fluorescent red. I've never felt like that in my life. It was something I
never expected to hear. Knowing what she knows, she must have thought
very carefully what those words meant.

"I don't know what to say..." I was dumbfounded.

"Say you accept." It was Rob this time.

I thought about it very carefully in the little time I had.

"Only if you will stop paying me for tutoring the boys. I'll be very glad
to do it on my own free time."

"I think I can accept that," Rob said, "we'll talk about it over dinner.
What do you think?"

"About dinner?" Mike asked. I had stopped paying him any attention, my
eyes on Sarah the whole time.

"No, you nimrod, about finally having your own apartment!"

"You mean it's ours?! For real?!"

"Of course." Rob said solemnly, mocking Mike's previous tone.

I can't begin to describe how he jumped over me and hugged me. I reacted
as he started jumping and screaming his happiness. I joined him soon
after coming back down to earth, happier than I have been in a very long
time. But not entirely because of the flat. I kept looking at Sarah as we
hugged and jumped around the room.

"Why don't you take Mike to get some Chinese take out? I really don't
feel like cooking, and this deserves a celebration!"

"Good idea. Mike, come with me. We're going to get some take out!"

"Right behind you!" He called after we both high fived each other. "This
is going to be so great!" He told me.

"It sure will, roomie!"

"Yeah, we're roomies now," He hugged me. "And now that you are a part of
this family, you really are my new brother." He whispered in my ear.

"Right."

He left the studio. I was alone with Sarah.

"Does he know?" She asked me. I turned around.

"Yes, he knows everything. Doesn't it bother you? Letting us live
together?"

"Why should it? I trust you, but I need to know..." She wasn't looking at
me when she said it.

"About what?"

"About you and Sean. How long has...?"

"How long we've been together? Almost a year now."

"So, what are you exactly? Boyfriends?"

"Boyfriends," I admitted "or something more."

"I can see that. I remember that look. I remember being looked at like
that."

"..."

"Promise me you will always take care of him. Promise me you will never
hurt him." Sarah insisted.

"I swear it on my life. He's the most important person in my life and I
love him with all my heart. And he loves me back. I will never hurt him."

She stood up and walked over to me. She hugged me.

"Be true to each other. I'm happy for both of you." A couple of tears ran
down my face.

"I will always be there for him. I promise."

"Have you told him?" Sarah asked, "…that I know?"

"No, I don't know how he'll react to that. Someday he will tell you
himself. Someday."

"It won't be easy along the way."

"We'll make it happen. I know we will." I hugged her back. We stayed like
that for a few seconds, and then we separated.

"Go to him. Tell him the good news."

"Thank you. You don't know what this means to me."

"Go." She seemed calm, half smiling.

It must have been very difficult for her. Probably the most difficult
thing she had to do in her whole life. She couldn't have been prepared to
face something like this. Not ever. I don't think any parent can. It must
be because they never thought it as a possibility, when they were holding
their baby in their arms for the first time. Wondering what he will do,
what he will become. I don't think any parent is really ready for it.

I went upstairs to Sean's room. Martin and Johnny seemed to be fighting
in their own room. I hugged him very close to me, as hard as I could. I
kissed his forehead, then his lips. Then we both kissed, and laughed and
dreamt. Someday we would have to tell a lot of people. But not today, and
not for a long time.

A few minutes later, I went to say hello to the younger Turners. We
talked, and laughed and had fun. Dinner was great. Everyone was happy.
Rob offered me some wine, but I refused; my tongue never took a liking to
wine. We were left alone after dinner. Just Sarah, Rob, Mike and myself.
We went through all our plans again. Every detail. Every idea. Rob
offered to help. Mike told him we would do it on our own.

"How long do you think it will take you?"

"A week or so. I can work all morning and part of the afternoon. The
living room and dinning room will take a couple of days each. The
bedrooms and the office can be painted in another couple of days. The
rest can be done in a day."

"So you have nothing to do tomorrow morning?" Rob asked.

"No, nothing."

"Would you like to skip school, Mike?"

"Really?"

"Not for goofing around. You start working tomorrow. I can introduce you
to the super in the morning. Show you all the bills and help you get
organized in that matter. Make sure everything is working, and then I'll
give you the keys. You can spend the rest of the day on your new place,
until you go to work, that is."

"That would be great," I said. "Thank you very much for everything, but I
should be leaving if I plan to wake up early tomorrow."

"There's no need for that. You can stay with Mike, start getting used to
what you got yourself into."

"Yeah, real funny, Dad!"

"I don't know..."

"Nope! You’re staying with me." Mike said.

"Ok, thanks. Thank you very much." I said, giving in to their generosity.

"You are always welcome. Just remember to ask for help if you need to"
Rob said and we shook hands. "Maybe I can get you to fix a couple of
things around here..."

"Robert!" Sarah nudged him once more.

"When do you think you'll be ready to move in? How long do you think this
will take you?"

"If I can start right away, maybe it will be ready for the following
weekend. Around your birthday?" I looked at Mike.

"Awesome! Let's go upstairs so we can start planning!"

"You go ahead, but I expect you both up around 7:30, before I leave for
work"

"Yes, SIR!" It was Mike's turn to do it. I just smiled and nodded my
head.

"Thank you, Rob. And you Sarah. Thank you very much."

We went to Mike's room. Both extremely happy. I never imagined that it
was going to work out so well. Maybe I was just too cautious. Maybe I was
just afraid of everything that could go wrong. This was certainly the
time to stop acting like that. To stop worrying so much about what might
go wrong. We had a lot ahead of us. Lots of things to do. No time for
worries.

"Are you sure the mattress is ok? I can get another one." Mike offered.

"This will do ok."

"Aren't you going to go say good night?"

"Not with your parents around. If he's still awake, which I doubt, he'll
come. I'll see him in the morning anyway."

"I," Mike stuttered, "I need to ask you something…" He was back to
the serious tone again.

"Go ahead. I'm listening." I had seen it coming.
