Subject: The Helix Chronicles - Prologue

Before I go on I would like to state that this is my first foray into
sharing my stories of this nature on this scale and that I really
appreciate that you're giving it a chance, so thank you very much!

Secondly, if you have any questions or suggestions, please e-mail me at
Leon_Winters@ymail.com and I'll gladly get back to you as soon as possible.

Third, I am 22 years old and this is a story that I've fantasized about
since I was fourteen. Please do not assume that I am the main character
(who will appear in the next installment) and that I am also sixteen years
old. Once again, I am 22.

Disclaimer: This is a work of fantasy. This story may involve sexual
contact between Adult Men and Younger Males, two Boys, or two Adult Men. If
reading this is illegal where you live, please do not go any further.

Prologue

Seventeen.

The average age a youth loses their virginity in most countries around the
world. Because they can.

Fourteen.

The average age a youth loses their virginity in Summerset. Because they are
beautiful.

Water fell from Mikael's bare body as he lifted himself out of the Pool.

Mikael Simonova
Affiliation: none
Year: 12
Expertise: Swim
Measurement: 8-1/2"

His knee went over the edge of the pool first. Smooth and glistening under the
soft, colorful lamps. He flipped his hair over his shoulder and wiped away the
droplets sprinkled across his chest with only his bare hands.

"A bit late to be swimming Mikael." The young boy turned quickly, startled, but
firm in trying not to show it.

"It is my passion." He began with his usually thin accent. "When it calls to me,
I find it impossible to deny it."

"Is that something you discovered in Russia?" This older man who had his hands
in his pockets looked on at the younger boy with admiration. His eyes glossed
over the boy's fine body like an artist might find the strokes of his brush in a
painting he had just finished.

Mikael was still dripping from the swim. He stood perfectly still though and the
well dressed man could cover every detail of his finely crafted body. A chest
that belonged to a young movie star. A flat stomach owned by a trained athlete,
carved down and segueing effortlessly into the youth's beautiful "V". The
gorgeous line that connected the abs and the crotch. A crotch clothed by a low
rise, royal blue speedo, looking more like lycra underwear than something the
average young man may swim in.

Beyond were a set of legs that extended hairlessly to the pair of feet that
stood upon the wet ground. Toes itching for the feet to hammer against the floor
and run in the opposite direction, but Mikael deep in his heart knew this was a
bad idea.

"Something tells me you know I did not learn this in Russia. Something tells me
that you are here to maybe take this thought and many others away." Mikael said,
breathing barely steady. "Daniel..."

"Yes Mikael?" He replied, taking his hands from his pockets and adjusting his
matching gray blazer. The suave gentlemen was almost the same height as Mikael
but built with a thicker body of muscle. He smoothed his blonde hair back and
took another good look at the young man before him.

"Are they going to kill me?"
Daniel sighed. He paced across the side of the pool for a moment. "Things have
become this chaotic only because of my carelessness. My misjudgments. I'm sorry
you have to go through this Mikael."

"So that's a yes." Mikael's lip trembled. He looked away, not concerned with
running so much as he was lost in thought now. About the things he could have
done differently. "I'm only seventeen..."

"I'm sorry Mikael. I really am." Daniel was only inches away from the young man
now. They could feel the warmth of each other's breath upon their faces. Daniel
hooked the tip of Mikael's chin with his finger and forced the boy to look him
in the eyes. It was only a moment between their longing entrancement that Daniel
took a shallow breath and placed his lips on his lover's. Mikael cried and his
lips parted. They laced their passions together, entwining a confusing but
certain love in what was surely the last moments of Mikael's life. That's when
Daniel put his hands on Mikael's shoulders and pushed him back.

"I saw you swim." Daniel said. "I hope you can run just as fast."
Mikael looked into Daniel's eyes with both resentment and want. His knee went
into Daniel's stomach and the older man keeled. Mikael pushed him to the side,
sending Daniel heads up into the pool. He took off sprinting for the automatic
double doors. They slid open much too soon before he got there and two men clad
in black uniform and gear, entered with handguns. Mikael slid to a halt and
clawed at the concrete, pulling himself in the opposite direction. They would
have opened fire had they not noticed Daniel struggling to get to the surface of
the pool. Mikael dove like he would if he were in swimming practice. Gracefully
and without doubt. The only difference was those dives took place in the water.
This one was through a glass window.

Mikael tumbled through on the opposite side. He rolled onto his feet. He felt
wet on his shoulder and knew this wasn't pool water. Blood trickled down across
his bare skin, tickling him as he ran for cover. More men were approaching him.
They opened fire and he ducked and kept running. A stray bullet hit him in the
arm. He screamed and grabbed the open wound, gripping it hard and trying not to
think about it.

He wasn't far from the edge of the school grounds. He could see the river that
separated the academy and the forest. All he had to do was make it past and he
could hide within the trees until he found refuge. More bullets flew past his
head though and he wasn't comfortable with his chances. He had to go
nonetheless.

Moments later he was at the river. By the time he was within diving position
though, a good marksman had taken a shot. The bullet projected a thousand feet
and hit Mikael in the back. He stumbled across the soil. His feet muddied and
his body marked with dirt. His speedo was torn at the hip and as Mikael fell, it
snapped off and he hit the edge of the river bed, falling in without it. Mikael
never breathed again.
