"The Priest That Was Loved" - Chapter 1 (The Meeting 1) - (Nifty / Gay
/Adult-Youth))

Father Greyson McQueen was a young and handsome 25-year-old priest. A
universities graduate with a degree in electrical engineering. He's a
sprightly man, who's a faithful believer, worshiper and practitioners on
Roman Catholic Christianity. He made a vow of abstinence to the Lord Jesus
Christ and to do all his teaching wholeheartedly. It backed up with his
good-natured heart; he was likened by everybody, especially all the youth
he had worked with. Recently, he was ordained in a sacramental ceremony in
which he became to be a priest in a honourable church, the Saint Peter's
Roman Catholic Church in New York. He had entered the Clergy at a young age
and after meeting its requirements, he finally had the ratification to be
ordinance. It was his parent's proudest moment to see their only child
pursuing the work of The Lord.

In his pursuance to be a man of the cloth in a Roman Catholic Church, he's
subsisted in specific benchmarks that needed accomplishment and to be
followed religiously. It was a definite that sacrifices had to be
administered. His normal lifestyle needed to change. Throughout his
priesthood journey, he was discouraged to be involving in romancing.

He, furthermore, needed to attend a seminary, an exceptional school that
provided education in theology, religious history, and other things
affiliated to Christianity, fundamentally to prepare him and other students
for the priesthood, ministry, or the rabbinate. No doubt he had to
predominate in the seminary school. He then became ordained a deacon before
he got to enter the priesthood. It was a tough life that he had gone
through and yet; he conclusively made it in being a priest after all the
sacrifices, he had inflicted himself into.

Ever since he was a young boy, he was fascinated by the work of a
priest. The clothes they wore during congregation in the Roman Catholic
Church. He was intriguingly enchanted with the clerical collar that was
worn by all ranks of the clergy, bishops, priests, and deacons. It was also
seen often worn by seminarians who have been admitted to candidacy for the
priesthood as well as with their cassock during liturgical
celebrations. His adoration was sky high on the way of a priest looked, and
beguiled with the smiles that of every priest had on their faces, every
time he engaged with them. Every single thing that a priest had done, gave
a sense of gratefulness to the man of clothed in the eyes of a young boy.

When he had come of age, his father had volunteered him to be an altar boy
at the church that his family had been going to every weekend. As an altar
server, he was a lay assistant to a member of the clergy during a Christian
divine liturgy. His attendance as an altar boy was to support with tasks
such as, fetching and carrying, the altar bell ringing, among other
things. He loved at the opportunities; he was given to task for the
church. He especially loves the singing of psalms with the whole
congregation.

Going to church with his families on every Sunday, were one of his
favourite activities. On that day, his mother would have suited him in his
finest Sunday clothes, and prepared him handsomely with his hair well
combed and gelled to perfection. On that day, he would be wearing his shiny
black leather shoes, which his father bought for him to wear for special
occasions. His father would glossily shine it every morning before going to
church. Once all was done, with a last looked at the long mirror hangs by
the side door, he walked in between his parents while holding their
hands. It was only about a couple of blocks away from his house, but it was
pleasantly soulful.

Throughout his time in church, he listened to lots of sermons; he adored
every single word spoken and especially when the priest talked about GOD
himself and the Lord Jesus Christ. It intrigued him to further study about
life as a priest, and the religion that he had his hearts for ever since
childhood. It was a revelation as though, God's disclosure of his owns
nature and his purpose for mankind. Especially, through the words of human
intermediaries, something in which such a divine disclosure is contained,
such as the Bible.

It was kind of nirvana that stretches his believed that science and logic
give people more knowledge and understanding than tradition and
religion. It's like a final spiritual state marked by the absence of desire
or suffering. He felt like he was reborn into this world for a purpose.

After he was ordinance as a priest, he was apportioned to St. Peter's Roman
Catholic Church in New York City. He was to amalgamate with in helping an
Elder and his mentor, Father Michael Samson, in managing the church
activities. Nevertheless, recently, he was transferred to his new parish,
St. John Baptist Catholic Church, in a small town of Kansas City.

At the new church, he was going to work with a soon to retire minister,
Father Aiden Morales, who's suffering health issues due to his old age of
85 years-old. The sickness was preventing him from doing his jobs
diligently, as a priest. Even though, Father Greyson was delighted to be
given the trust, at the same time, he was saddened with the imminent news
in regard to Father Morales. He could not wait to lead his own
congregations in the church as he was looking forward to all the challenges
thrown at him.

The church had provided him with everything that he needed. He got food for
meals, three times a day, living quarters and a good salary
package. However, he was not into living on a church ground or with the
rest of the ordinance. He felt isolated and alone and deprived his youthful
energy. He wanted to be closer with the people out there. He loved to be
able to directly and constantly interacting and mingling with them.

He finally got the green light to source out his own accommodation. That
was after a long consideration, consultation and discussion with the church
administrator. It took him weeks, going through the newspaper
advertisements and housing agencies to scout for a small residence or rooms
to rent, but all without any much success. It was devastating as it's all
none to his liking. It would be either be expensive or far from the church.

It was during one of an early-morning Eucharist. He got befriended with a
parishioner, whose name was Hayden O'Brien. Hayden overheard of him was
looking for a room or house to rent. Hayden wholeheartedly welcomed him to
stay at his house instead. Hayden was being a modest follower of The Roman
Catholic Church and intrinsically a notably person, Hayden O'Brien's
introspection it as his minuscule way to a kind gesture by giving back to
the church that did so much for him and his son. The church had been there
in helping him to grief and to take comfort or consolation at a time of
great distress or sadness after the death over his wife a few years ago.

Father Greyson was overly joyful and ecstatic with the generous offer made
by Hayden. He immediately agreed and shook Hayden's hands in a gesture of
acceptance. Without delaying any further and hesitation, he went to pack
his things from his church dorm and within a week, he had everything moved
into Mr. Hayden household. The accommodation was perfect as it was roomy,
and it's near to the church.

As he adjusted himself in the capacious guest room, that Hayden's had
prepared for him, he felt very much at home. There was a queen-size bed in
the middle of the room, with two tall wardrobes for his clothing. A dresser
was placed in between the two wardrobes, and a study desk was set into one
corner into the room. For all the ultimate in comfort, it was fully
Air-conditioning.

On the bed-side table, he placed the figured of the Virgin Mary, where The
Lady of Grace folds her hands in reverential exaltation in this classic
acclaimed opus in search of excellence' of great skill and beauty. It was
lighted with a single afterglow of the night lamp. It created a sense of
peace and serenity to the surrounding.

It was in the Hayden's household, was where for the very first-time, Father
Greyson McQueen met Harry O'Brien.
