Recap of Chapter 14 of THE RUNAWAY AND THE DRAG QUEEN

ROGER

A few minutes later, a tall blond woman entered the room with a laptop and
a folder of forms. Introducing herself as Stephanie Litchner, she looked
over his file online and indicated that I had been designated as the next
of kin and power of attorney. Agreeing to both of those facts, she
explained the requirements that would need to be met before we could bring
Leo to our home for hospice. Filling out and signing what seemed like a
thousand forms, both Jeff and I made certain she understood that we were a
couple and this was a joint decision. She smiled with a sense on
understanding as we finished the last of the paperwork. Setting up an
appointment to have the selected room examined, she chatted with Leo making
sure he was satisfied and then left us to continue our visit.

THE RUNAWAY & THE DRAG QUEEN: CHAPTER FIFTEEN (15)

JEFF

I sat with Leo and Roger while we talked about how the transfer was going
to take place and how soon we could get it done. It was important to me
that nobody I knew ever die alone in a hospital. We chatted for several
minutes until the nurse came to let us know it was time for his sleeping
meds so we waited until he drifted off before we left. Roger made sure the
nurses had all of our contact information and we carefully drove home. He
sat quietly, looking out the passenger side as I made the long trip back.
The rain had temporarily stopped so it made driving easier on the return
trip. With one quick stop to get some Chinese food, we came home to
discover the boys had cleaned everything inside and were cleaning up the
debris in the yard. The gazebo had been rebuilt but the rose garden was a
wreck and would take longer to fix. Just after we exited the car, the
skies opened with another huge deluge of rain so we all scrambled for the
house. Dark clouds rolled by and it seemed that it was going to last a
long time. We decided to just stay home after checking on the generator.
It ran on propane and we ensured that it would kick in if the power died.
Pulling out the food, we ate our meal while discussing the events
concerning Leo. Both boys agreed to help out wherever they could and made
plans to clean out the selected room before the social worker came to get
it set up for him. Just as we finished, a huge clap of thunder sounded and
out went the lights. We waited five minutes and heard the generator start
up and we had out power again. The boys cleared the table as I heard a
knock on the door. I ran to see who was fool enough to be out in the storm
and was greeted by Mrs. Leavitt.

"I'm so sorry dears," she began. "My power went out and I'm afraid to be
alone."

I told her to come in and take off her coat and relax. Roger came in with
a towel and ushered her into the dining room where he served some hot
cocoa. The boys were shocked she risked falling to get here but promised
to help her clean her yard when the weather broke. She started crying,
saying that a tree had taken out the small one-car garage, which was
luckily empty. I gave her the phone and she called her insurance company,
who agreed to send someone out once the weather cleared. The weather
channel reporter was talking about the severity of the front and that it
was expected to last until late the next afternoon. Roger told her she
could stay in one of our guest rooms and left to get her fresh towels and
extra blankets. He also put some sweat clothes in her room, which were
ones we bought that ended up not fitting any of us. She cried when he told
her but Glenn said that without her help Xavier might have been killed. We
all considered her part of our family and our home was hers. The rest of
the evening was spent watching some old movies, including "Singing In The
Rain," with Gene Kelly, Debbie Reynolds, and Donald O'Connor. It seemed an
appropriate film for a stormy day inside.

At the end of the evening, we decided to head to bed and Xavier helped
Mrs. Leavitt to her room. We checked on the generator and the weather
channel to get the latest updates before we locked up the house. The
forecast was for continued rain and more flooding but we double-checked the
basement to make sure it was still dry. Satisfied that everything was safe
and secure, Roger and I grabbed some flashlights and lanterns before
walking to our room for the night. Being worn out, I went to brush my
teeth as Roger got the bed ready. Coming out of the bathroom, I found him
sitting on the edge crying hysterically. Putting my arm around his
shoulder, I pulled him to my chest and held him while he wept. When he
calmed himself, he apologized for reacting so badly but I assured him it
was normal to be upset.

"But this was supposed to be the day of our engagement," Roger stammered.

"You did that beautifully," I began. "The world had other ideas, so relax."

Roger cleaned up and returned to bed. We set our phone alarms and crawled
under the covers. Roger pulled me behind him so I wrapped my arms around
his waist and we fell asleep.

XAVIER

The storm was horrendous as we headed to bed that night. It was so sweet
how Mrs. Leavitt was embarrassed to come over. She saved my life and I
felt like she was family. It was safer for her to be here with us during
this storm. We showed her to the guest room and then headed to ours.
Glenn took me in his arms and kissed me deeply, cupping my ass in his
hands. I melted into his body, loving the warmth and passion radiating off
it. The radio was on to listen for emergency weather updates but he walked
over and switched it to a adult contemporary station. A nice, slow song
came on and he took me in his arms and started dancing me around the room.
We kissed and moved as one until we got to the edge of the bed. Laying me
down, Glenn began to undress me slowly while kissing my neck and ears.
When I was left in my boxer briefs, he stood up and performed a sexy strip
number for me revealing the body I loved to see and touch. He left on his
own underwear and crawled back on the bed to resume fondling me. Between
kisses and gropes, I was moaning and pulling him closer. As he ran his
tongue down my neck to my collar bone, I shivered and trembled in
anticipation. His finger felt like feathers as he moved them over my
quivering skin. Reaching my waist band, he slid my shorts down my legs
leaving me naked and vulnerable. As he teased my nipples, Glenn wrapped a
warm hand around my erection and slowly stroked it, increasing the flow of
lubricant. With his other hand, he reached the tube of lube on the
nightstand and began slicking up my cock. I growled as his hand moved up
and down sending waves of pleasure throughout my body. Moving his lips
back to my mouth, he used his slick fingers to prep his ass. Suddenly, he
straddled my hips and slowly lowered himself onto me. The fire of his ass
as I sank inside was almost unbearable. I shook as he reached the bottom
and twisted his body to drive me even more out of my mind. Sitting
straight, Glenn began moving up and down while tweaking my nipples and
stroking my abs. Within minutes, I was thrusting my hips up to meet him
and stroked his chest. Our breath came faster and more ragged the longer
our love making lasted. Sweat covered our bodies and the grunts and groans
filled the room and echoed off the walls. Glenn leaned down and kissed me
as he erupted between us. His ass clenched and I could feel my own climax
fill him full. After what seemed like an eternity, he collapsed on my
chest and we lay there allowing our hearts to slow to normal. As my cock
softened, it slid from his backside and we sped to clean up before crawling
in bed. Glenn spooned me as we drifted off in a wonderfully relaxing
slumber.

TIMOTHY BOATSWAIN

I was so angry about this storm coming when it did. Because my home was on
a flatter piece of land, we were getting water up to the front stoop and my
dad and I rushed to remove anything valuable from the basement
entertainment room. By 8 pm that evening we had almost 12 inches of water
downstairs and were hoping it wouldn't rise any further. The worst part of
this whole day was the fact that I couldn't continue my spying on Glenn and
his little slut. I needed more information to facilitate my plan for
removing Xavier from his life so he could be with me, as it is supposed to
be. When the power went out, Dad swore because he had pout off buying a
generator so we were in the dark until it was fixed. Grabbing our
flashlights and lanterns, we headed to bed hoping the storm would end soon
and not cause any more damage. I lay awake for a long time fuming over the
lost time but vowing to settle my issue with this home wrecker soon.

ROGER

The storm broke sometime after midnight and I woke to find myself wrapped
in Jeff's loving arms. My first thoughts reminded me of how I broke down
over Leo and how sweet my fiancé reacted. Part of me was ashamed but
the other part of me understood that I would always care for my former
love. The knowledge of his illness and impending death ripped me apart at
a time when my engagement should have been the most important moment of my
life. Jeff was so gracious about us taking Leo in for his final months
that it only made me love him more. The boys offering to do whatever they
could was a cherry on the sundae since it reinforced my feeling of being a
family. My alarm sounded a few minutes later and Jeff whispered "Morning
honey" as he rose to kiss me. We pulled on sweats before heading down to
check on the damage. Our basement was still dry and there was a repair
crew fixing the fallen electric lines. The storm left branches and leaves
throughout the yard but luckily no other major damage. We walked over to
give Mrs. Leavitt's house a check and found that, except for the tree on
the garage, the house seemed intact. Returning home, Mrs. Leavitt was
making crepes while the boys prepped fruit fillings and set the table. She
had coffee brewing and shooed us both out while she finished. Breakfast
was delicious and she explained that it was the least she could do for our
hospitality. It felt like having my grandmother with us on a special
Sunday meal. The boys walked her back to he place to start the yard
cleaning while she checked out her house. We stayed behind to remove the
debris littering our own property. After a couple of hours, we had our
place looking like it normally did. Heading down, we joined the boys since
they had more to clean. The insurance people came out to examine the
garage and file the claim when Mrs. Leavitt announced she had made us
lunch. We ate and talked before returning home to relax since school was
back in session the next day.

During my planning period, I received a call from Stephanie about
scheduling the inspection of the room for Leo and, after checking with
Jeff, set it up for that Monday. Since it was Friday, we had two full days
to empty and clean the space before they arrived. There wasn't any
furniture other than an armoire and a day bed. We moved those into a room
that had been used for storage lately. A quick cleaning and fresh paint
made Leo's space seem brighter and hopefully more relaxing when he was
here. Glenn and Xavier finished their homework and we spent Sunday evening
playing Scrabble. Bedtime came and we all headed up after a quick call to
check on Mrs. Leavitt. Assured that she was fine, we slept peacefully
until the morning. I called in to excuse the boys from class since we
wanted the social worker to meet them as well. She arrived with a medical
specialist about 1030 am and gave the room a thorough check. Satisfied
with the size and electrical connections, she then interviewed Glenn and
Xavier about their personal concerns. They explained their feelings and
offered to help out in whatever capacity they were needed. The specialist
set up delivery of the bed and other equipment we would have to have for
Leo's treatment. A training session was scheduled with a hospice nurse so
all of us knew how to handle his care. Later that day, the supplies
arrived and soon the space was ready. Our educational meeting was that
evening and Leo would arrive on Wednesday. Until then, we went on as usual
waiting for our new resident to arrive.

TIMOTHY BOATSWAIN

Finally the storm broke and I could go back to my stalking. Dad and I
spent a day cleaning up the mess left behind and dealing with insurance
adjusters over the damage. Once finished, I sped over to find a medical
supply company delivering a bed and various machines. What was going on
now? This situation was going to require some more observation. I only
hope Glenn isn't sick or injured. If that happened, Xavier pay even more
than I originally planned. School was starting back after the flooding so
my plan would have to wait for a little while longer.

GLENN

As Stephanie talked to Xavier and I, we could see the concern in her eyes
that we were being coerced into helping out. Xavier spoke candidly of
regretting not being there for his grandparents when they died that he felt
this was his way of paying them back. I agreed that it was important that
we try to help out people who needed extra support. She relaxed and set up
the training session so we all would learn how to treat Leo. The
specialist ordered the necessary equipment, which came that afternoon. Leo
would be brought in on Wednesday and then it was up to us. I vowed to do
whatever I could. As we completed our training session, Mom called to see
how we survived the storm. We talked about the power outage and how her
neighborhood was before agreeing to meet later in the week. All we could
do know is concentrate on school and wait for our new family member.
