Chapter 7

It was decided that we would go back and get more stuff form the manor.
This time we had more people to retrieve stuff and to keep guard. It was
decided that we would leave Brandon back at the farm place he was still too
weak to help with moving stuff at the manor. So Brandon and Boe would guard
the farm while we went on our trip.

Spring was definitely here the grass was turning green and leaves were
starting to bud on the trees. We left the farm before the sun came up
because we knew it would be dangerous and we took all the precautions we
could. The road was clear and we did not see anyone. When we went past the
compound we could see more buildings had been burned to the ground and no
one was to be seen. On the road to the manor Kyle thought he had seen
someone come out of one of the houses along the road but was not sure. Once
at the manor Kyle and Billy took up positions in the back while Bobby took
lookout in the front. That left Ben, Chris, Tyler and I to go to work in
the manor. Tyler and Chris worked on taking more cameras down and gathering
equipment and wiring to put them up at the farm. While Ben and I palliated
up the food packages and canned products and loaded them on to the truck.
Tyler and Chris finished their work. We also loaded three more beds and
linen and grabbed as many pillows and blankets that we could take.

Almost like it was on cue we heard gun fire. We all headed to the trucks
and headed down the road. Kyle said he heard a bullet hit the side of the
truck but we never saw anyone as we traveled down the roads. Once out on
the open road we open the windows of the truck to feel the spring air
rushing in. The sun was going down just as we pulled into the yard at the
farm. Brandon was sitting on the porch with Boe next to him as we pulled
up. He had a huge grin on his face when we all made our way up to the
house. He said in a gravelly voice. "So did you boys have fun?" We all
looked at him and I think we all we surprised. Brandon had been here over a
month and hadn't said a word and now he was talking. We all ran up to him
and congratulated him. That night we sat around and relaxed and talked
about all the thing we had done that day. Brandon didn't talk too much he
said his throat was still sore. None of us blamed him, and from what we
would learn from him later we would be surprised he had survived at all.

I took the first watch of the night. Billy and Bobby had set up a bed in
the living room. But Billy couldn't sleep so he joined me on my rounds. We
talked about stupid thing. Like why Boe like to walk up to everyone and
stick his nose in your crouch or why the birds would chase Boe in the
yard. I could tell he was getting tired so I led him back to the house so
he could go to bed. About eleven I heard one of the small alarms go off by
the barn so I made my way over. With my gun ready I looked around, I
couldn't see what would have trigger the alarm I made my way back to the
house. Kyle was standing on the steps as I walked up to the house. I
thought he was looking at me, but when he raised his gun I fell straight to
the ground and rolled. I looked back and there stood a cougar. The animal
was huge. It must have followed me around the barn. Then from out of
nowhere Boe came barking and growling. The cat looked at him turned then
ran back around the barn. Boe chased him for a few feet then stopped and
walked back.

The next thing I knew Kyle was standing next to me to help me up.

"You ok?" he asked.

 I said I was.

"Damn what the hell was that?" He asked.

"I think it was a cougar? I'm not really sure. But it scared the hell out
of me."

"Thank you." I said.

I walked up to him and gave him a hug.

"No problem."

He said as he leaned forward and gave me a kiss. The next thing I knew is
we were in the barn and Kyle was driving his hard cock deep inside me. I
really don't remember going to the barn but I was enjoying what he was
doing to me. I have done several things with both Tyler and Chris but had
never done this with them. The truth is I never really wanted to have
anyone do this to me. I really can't describe how good it feels, all I know
is that it really feels good and I don't want him to stop. My cock is as
hard as a rock and Kyle is stroking it as he drives his cock into me. He is
gentle and loving but still had a lot of passion in him. Thank goodness the
house was far enough away from the barn because the way we were going at it
I think we would of woke everyone in the house. Thinking back I needed what
he was giving me and I think he needed what I was giving him. Even though
Chris and Tyler were my true loves Kyle had something they could never
give me unconditional love. I would learn that as time went on, he would
be my one constant in all that was happening. I would learn later it was
Kyle who really carried me to the house and put me in bed. It was Kyle who
killed the man who shot my father, it was Kyle who stayed by my bed when I
was in shock. In the same way he was helping Brandon. We would love others
but it was this moment that we would remember. I could feel him begin to
cum inside me. I wanted him to, I wanted his seed inside me just like when
I sucked his cock. I wanted everything he could give me and more. When he
was finish he leaned down and kissed me again and without any hesitation he
climbed on me and took my cock inside him. It didn't take me long to unload
a stream of cum inside of him then we were done. We laid together for a few
more minutes neither saying a word to the other. Kyle got up looked around
and then said.

"Do you know how we got in here?"

I laughed and said.

"No clue."

He smiled and looked down at me then said.

"Are you ok?"

"Yeah" I said.

As I reached my hand up and Kyle grabbed my hand to help me to my
feet. Then I said.

"We should do that more often."

He looked at me with a surprised look on his face and said.

"Really?"

"Yeah really." I said.

He smiled then gave me a hug. We held each other naked bodies against each
other. We broke our embraces when we heard Boe barking outside the barn. We
grabbed our clothes and dressed as fast as we could then headed out the
door.

There in the yard stood the cougar this time it had what looked like a
lifeless body of a deer in its mouth and behind it were three small
cubs. Kyle had his gun raised but when he saw the cubs he lowered the
gun. We stood and watched as the cougar carried the deer across the yard
then up by the house. She lay down and proceeded to eat the deer. The three
cubs laid and watched as their mother tear at the deer. Boe had sat down
next to us and watched as we watched. Kyle turned to me and said.

"Wow that is so cool."

"I wonder why she brought them here?" I said.

Kyle just shook his he and watched. We stood there for about an hour
watching her eat the deer. When she finish the cubs went to work as she
laid back and watched us then her cubs. It was getting late and realized
Ben would be up soon for his watch. I told Kyle he should let Ben know that
the cougar is next to the house so that when Ben starts his shift it would
not surprise him. Kyle laughed then said.

"Yeah that would scare the hell out of him walking out and seeing that big
cat there."

I laughed at the thought then walked over to Kyle and gave him a kiss on
his cheek. He turned to me and said.

"What was that for?"

"For being you." I said.

He smiled as walked into the house. I looked back to see him standing there
with Boe by his side watching the cubs tear at the deer remains. I lay down
in bed and a few minutes later I heard Ben get up to start his shift.

When I woke in the morning I could smell breakfast cooking, Ben was at the
table along with Billy and Bobby. They were all excited as I walked
in. Bobby said in an excited voice.

"Jeff, there is a big cat outside with her kittens?" Ben laughed and said.

"Bobby they are cubs not kittens."

"Ok cubs." He said.

"Yeah" I said.

"We watched them come last night when Kyle came out to change shifts. We
watched them for like an hour last night."

So for the next three weeks the cougar and her cubs stayed next to the
house. Every once in a while she would come up on to the porch and lay down
and look in the widows as we worked around the house. Then one day she was
gone.

We didn't let the fact that we had a wild animal around the farm. Kyle
would take the sheep out every day and Boe would go with him. The cows seem
to be fine with staying in the barn as long as the cougar was gone and when
she left with her cubs. They would come out and graze the field. Chris and
Brandon worked on the tractors getting them ready so we could work a field
so we could put in a large garden. Billy and Bobby worked out in the big
shed along with Tyler and Ben getting thing put on shelve we found and
built. Soon the shed was looking more like a warehouse then a shed.

After we got the ground plowed, tilled and dragged we planted the seeds and
sat back and relaxed. Then Tyler got it in his head that we should put the
video cameras up around the farm. Everyone thought it was a great idea. So
we went to work on putting up the surveillance system. Brandon and Chris
worked on a way to power the cameras and get electricity to maintain them
and the house.

Ben and I would take the pickup out every couple of weeks to go to some of
the abandoned towns where we would clean out anything we figured we could
use. Most of the time it was feed, dog food, seeds and clothing. Whenever
we found a lumber yard we would go and strip all the wood from the place.
Soon we had more wood than we knew what to do with.

Bobby and Billy worked on building wood stands so we could get the wood off
the ground. Once they finish one we would fill them with wood.

The garden was coming along good and everyone helped pull weeds out of the
crops. Our livestock was growing too. We had five new lambs born and three
calves add to the flock and sometime during the spring a family of cats
showed up in the barn. They were not as big as the cougar and the cubs but
they were a lot friendlier. Things were going good but we did not relax we
knew thing could change at any time. We hadn't seen anyone now in over two
months. Even when Ben and I would go out on out trip we did not see any
sign of life with the exception on a dog here and there or some deer
wandering through a town when we would pull in. Then one day when Ben and I
got close to a farm we saw someone run into a house. We decided to stop and
see if they were in need of anything. When a man and a woman came out with
guns pointed at us we told them we came as friends. When they realized we
were not carrying any guns. (We were but they were hidden.) They began
talking to us.

"Don't come any closer." The man said.

"Honey they are only boys. Look at them." the women said.

"I don't care if they are only boys. Everyone is dangerous these days."
The man said.

"Well I don't care. What can we do for you boys?" she asked.

 I stepped forward and said.

"My name is Jeff and this is my brother Ben we live around here and well we
have been searching the old farm places looking for survivors and supplies
and we happened to see someone run to the house so we decided to
investigate."

The man lowered his gun and smiled, then said.

"That was our son. You scared the hell out of him when he saw the truck."

He laughed. Just then a boy of about sixteen poked his head out the
door. He looked at us and smiled. Then he walked out the door.

"How long have you been here?" Ben asked.

 The man replied.

"About a week, we thought this might be a safe place."

Ben stepped beside me and said.

"Well there are some rebels about eighty miles from here but beside us, we
have only found a few people mostly survivors from the compound that the
rebels destroyed."

The man looked us over seeing we were not a threat to him and his family,
he said.

"You boys need something to eat or drink."

I replied.

"Nah we have enough."

Then I thought to myself. That maybe we could do some trading with these
people if they had any skills. I know they didn't have anything like food
and clothing we would need so I said.

"We have a farm place not very far from here and it is well guarded and I
was wondering if there was anything we could do for you?"

The man looked at me and Ben then said.

"Well we could use some food we don't have much, mostly thing we have found
while we have been traveling, I am not really a farmer but I am a carpenter
and my wife can cook and sew if your clothes need to be mended and my son
is a hard worker."

Ben looked at me and whispered.

"Do you trust these people?"

I turned and whispered.

"I don't know? We need to trust somebody and if they can do what he says
they can do those things they will come in handy."

Ben shook his head in agreement.

We talk a little more then told the couple and their son that we would come
back the next day with some supplies. So the next day we went back we
loaded the truck with enough food to get them through the month. We also
brought some clothing with. We were not sure on sizes so we brought a few
different sizes just in case. We also had some seeds and grains I knew it
was getting late into spring but if they planted then right away they could
have some vegetables by mid august.

This time when we pulled up into the yard we were greeted as friends. The
boy introduced himself as Jon and the father introduce himself as Dan; they
helped us unload the truck. Dan said he was very thankful for the food and
clothing and asked what he could do in return. We stilled didn't know if we
could really trust this family so we told them that this would just be a
gift from us. Which they were all very grateful. When it came time for us
to leave Dan asked us if we had any other vehicles that ran. He said he
would not mind having a truck or even a car of their own to get around in.
So on the way back to the farm we looked around for trucks and cars. With
Brandon and Chris we knew they could get them running. But when we thought
about it was nice being the only ones with a running vehicles. It was
decide that night that we would only get a few more pickups running that
way we would have them for trade or escape.

So for the next few weeks we went around collecting what trucks we could
find. Most of them would need parts other just needed gas to get the engine
running. Once we had a few more running Ben and I would split up and take
Billy and Bobby with us, I had asked Kyle to go with me but he pulled me
aside and told me in private that he didn't trust himself to be with me
alone. He was probably right not trust himself because I knew I would have
done anything he wanted me to do with him. On our little trips we would
come back with parts and tires. Soon our fleet of vehicles was ten
strong. Even though there were only eight of us it was still good to have
them around in case one went down.

We checked on Dan, Jon and Tucker, we found out that Tucker was not a
women but a man who dressed as a women. They had started a garden and the
plants were growing. We finally invited then back to the farm. Ben went out
to pick them up with the GMC four by four club cab. We figure that it would
be a more comfortable ride then in the back of one of the trucks. Back at
the house Billy, Tyler, and Bobby prepared supper while Chris and Brandon
worked out in the shed. This left Kyle and me to do chores. We always got
the animals feed but we also feed our desire for each other too. Now don't
get me wrong I love Tyler and I love Chris but Kyle does something to me
that neither one of them can do. I told Kyle about Tyler and Chris I
figured I have to be honest with at least one of the people I have sex with
so Kyle was the one I told.

Ben arrived with Dan, Tucker and Jon; he dropped them off at the house
while he went to park the truck. Kyle and I had just finished in the barn
and went out to meet our guess. That night we talked and ate. We found out
that Dan was only twenty two years old, Tucker was twenty one and Jon was
sixteen. They had met Jon just outside of Buffalo, New York over a year ago
and had been on the road moving east to avoid the fighting. Dan said he met
Tucker before the war and had been together for six years now. Tucker said
the only reason he dress as a women was so not to be drafted into service.
Billy asked them if they were partner. Jon laughed and said those two fuck
like rabbits. Dan blushed and Tucker laughed. When Dan asked if we were
sexually active we all laugh and said we were. When we finish we showed
them around the farm. Dan was impressed by the way we had things arranged.
He asked if we were afraid to be out on our own. Ben answered by telling
them how we were never alone we had each other and that each one of us
would die to protect the others. He was right, we would and I have come to
care about these guys more than anything in the world. I don't know what I
would do if I lost anyone of them.

We all had a good time but now it was time to take these three back to
their place. Billy and Bobby decide that they wanted to ride back with them
to their place. It was dark out when they left. I was on the first watch
like always. Kyle was in bed as was Brandon; they have begun to share a
bedroom. Tyler and Chris both decided to stay up and clean the house. I
walked around checking to make sure everything was in order. The cattle
seemed a little rustles and the sheep were all gathered in a circle. I
figured there must be a wild animal around somewhere.

Tyler and Chris came running out the doors with guns raise as I walk toward
the house. I didn't hear the shot but I felt the felt the pain in my leg
and I fell to the ground. I rolled on my back with my gun raise. I heard
shots come from the direction of the barn. Chris ran out to me firing in
that direction. Tyler close at his side.

Kyle and Brandon were out of the house and a firefight soon occurred. Kyle
had me in his arms and was dragging toward the house. Brandon ran out to
help Tyler and Chris as they took a position and held it. Kyle got me into
the house and wrapped my leg to stop the bleeding; once he had it stop he
turned to me and said.

"Don't you die on me I love you too much to be without you?"

Then he headed out the door to join the fight. I could hear the gunfire and
it sounded like it was coming from everywhere. I crawled to one of the
windows and took up a position. I could see some movement out by one of the
barns but I didn't know if it was one of us or our attackers.

The gunfire began to die down and Kyle ran into the house to check to see
how I was doing. He said that Tyler had been hit but the bullet just grazed
his shoulder and but he was ok. He figured there must have been at least
twelve men out there and most have been killed or wounded. Just as he was
going out the door I could see the light from a vehicle rushing up the
drive.

It was Ben. He jumped out of the truck with his guns in hand. Bobby was
helping Dan out of the truck and Jon and Billy had Tucker in their
arms. They brought them in the house and put them down in the living room.

I hobble over to check on them, both had been shot in the shoulder and Dan
looked like he took one to his head because they had it wrapped. I asked
Tucker what happen and he said. Ben dropped them off at the house and
before anyone knew it shots were being fired. Dan was hit first he fell to
the ground. Dan was knocked out cold and was bleeding from the shoulder and
from the head. They put him in the SUV and that was when Tucker was shot.
After putting them both in the SUV they got the hell out of there. When
they got close to the farm they slowed down and wrapped Dan's head and
Tucker's shoulder the drove as fast as they could here. Ben figured we
would be next if not being attacked at the same time.

Kyle came in to check on me again and when he saw I was tending to Dan and
Tucker he went back out to rejoin the fight.

Once the shooting stopped, I heard the tractors start up then another when
I made my way over to the window I could see Chris and Kyle picking up
bodies from the ground and piling them up. Billy and Bobby came into the
house to check on Tucker, Dan, and me. Billy looked at Dan's head then got
the sewing kit out and began to stitch him up. Bobby came over to me and
wanted to take look at my leg but I told him to take care of Tucker first.

He unwrapped Tuckers shoulder and looked at it the bleeding had stopped it
appeared that the bullet had not gone all the way through so they were
going to have to remove it.

They way those two boys went to work looked like they had been doing this
all their lives. They had the bullet out before Tucker could even say
ouch. It began to bleed again and Billy went to work closing off the blood
vessel and soon the bleeding had stopped. Somewhere along the line they had
got a bottle of gin and were using that to kill any germs if they got into
the wounds. Then they went to work on Dan's shoulder the bullet had gone
straight through so all they had to do was clean the wound and sew it
closed. After seeing these two work. I figured I would be in good hands. So
they went to work on my leg. The bullet was still inside and was close to
the femoral artery. Billy said that he was going to have to put me out
because he didn't want me moving around when he went in to get the bullet
and the next thing I knew Bobby had put a rag over my face and I was out
cold.

When I woke up I was in bed and Kyle was lying next to me sound asleep.
Tyler was on the floor and Chris was at the end of the bed sound asleep. My
leg was killing me but I could not move. My I was strapped down to the bed,
I couldn't move my arms or my left leg. My right leg was raised in the air
and was hanging from a sling or something and all I could feel was pain
growing stronger in my groin. I then yelled out and that woke Kyle he
smiled as he sat up in the bed then asked how I was doing. I asked him why
I was strapped down and he told me it was for my own protection and when I
asked him why he told me that Billy had removed the bullet but several
blood vessels had been damaged and that I would have to be kept still for
several day to give them a chance to heal. I told him I was in real bad
pain he reached over and took some pills out of a bottle and gave them to
me. In a few minutes the pain began to lessen. I then told him I had to
take a piss, so he grabbed a bottle thing and pulled the front of my shorts
down and put my penis in it and I began to piss. After I finish he cleaned
me up and soon I was back to sleep. I remember waking up when Billy came in
to check on me. He gave me another pill and that seem to lessen the pain
more and I fell into a deep sleep.

Time went by slow and it seemed like weeks before I was finally able to be
let up from the straps? Billy would come in and check on my wound and
smile. He said I was getting better and would be able to get out of bed
soon.

Kyle would sleep with me every night after his shift. It was forcing Tyler
to sleep on the floor and Chris at the end of the bed. One day Tyler came
in while Kyle was out doing something in one of the sheds and said.

"So what is going on between you and Kyle?"

I couldn't lie to him anymore and said told him we were lovers. He just
looked at me and smile then laughed then shook his head then said.

"No you are not. You might have made love to him but you are not lovers you
are soul mates. That much I can tell. I knew that the day I came here. He
was with you every moment. He is the one that will always love you no
matter what."

I asked Tyler if he was mad at me and he said.

"I could never be mad at you I love you too much and if I have to share you
with Kyle and Chris well so be it."

I looked surprised at him. He could see that and went on to say.

"Chris told me everything, he even told Ben. I guess thing like that happen
when the one person you care about looks like he is going to die. Don't get
worried Ben is ok with it. He is in love you too. Hell everyone here loves
you. I bet if you were to drop your pants in front of him and told him to
suck you off he would. Everyone loves you maybe with the exception of Dan
and Tucker and I wouldn't doubt they love you too. Jeff you are a beautiful
person you make people feel welcomed there is just something about you. It
is the reason I came looking for you. I thought I would be able to get you
out of my mind when you left me at the manor but I couldn't get the thought
of you out of my head. I almost went after you and your father the day you
left and if it had not been for the rebels protecting me I would have
followed you and when the leader of the rebels saw that I was miserable
that winter he told me I should follow you. When spring came and of course
I followed after you and now here I am. I thought you were my soul mate but
now I know you are not. Chris and I have grown close and I care about him
and even though he loves you I will take what I can get."

I could see in his eyes he was telling me the truth. I reached my hand out
and he took it I pulled him close to me and gave him a hug.

We stayed that way for a while, just holding each other. Kyle came in to
see how I was doing he watched as I held Tyler. He walked over and sat next
to us, he smiled and leaned in and gave me a kiss. Tyler laughed as we sat
there together.
