Disclaimer / Message: To say that it's been a long time since my last
submission is pretty rich, it's been an EXTREMELY long time. I want to
apologise profusely to all of my fans and I also want to thank you for your
continued letters of good will and encouragement. For those of you who
don't know, my Mother was in and out of the hospital for quite some time
with several health conditions and with the combination of a new job,
things got very complicated very quickly. Now that she is back on her feet
and I have a schedule more conducive to writing, I can promise more
attention to this story! I vow to carry this on to the end and everyone's
comments and criticisms are as appreciated as ever. Please email me at

Chapter Twenty
By noon the entire downstairs was packed and all I could do was
stare. It seemed an amazing feat to combine the contents of my entire life
in such a short amount of time, especially in such an organised
way. Perhaps it was the way in which she had sorted the boxes by size and
contents, or perhaps it was just the euphoria of being able to live with
Colby full time, regardless of what it was my admiration of Stephanie had
risen exponentially and I couldn't help but stare at her much the same way
a subject stares at their king.
"What?" She asked laughing a little, obviously curious as to why I was
doing this.
"You are just amazing! I could have never done this myself!"
She just shook her head and shrugged, "It's what I do."
Colby was still staring blankly at the television and I severely
doubted that the time spent packing went nearly as slowly for him as it had
for me. "Are you about ready to get going?"
Colby's gaze broke immediately as he smiled at me, "Yep!"
I laughed, it always amazed me that people said kids had short
attention spans. Colby definitely didn't show much interest in that which
didn't interest him, but he could spend hours watching the cartoons he
loved. Perhaps what was more remarkable than that was his ability to break
his concentration for what he felt deserved it.
"Well I'm going to take a quick shower and get changed, go ahead and
decide what you want to do."
Colby and I nodded as Stephanie finished speaking and ascended the
stairs. I looked over at Colby who had begun watching television again.
"What kind of tree do you want?" I queried.
Colby looked at me and then up at the ceiling in deep concentration,
"Uh, a big one?"
I nodded and smirked a little, "I guess that will do."
"Are we gonna decorate it today?"
I shrugged, "I guess so; it's up to your Mom though."
Colby smiled, "We will then, she hates to leave stuff undone."
"You sure know your Mom well huh?"
He nodded and giggled, "Yeah."
I sighed and sat on the sofa, staring at Colby whose eyes kept bouncing
between the television and myself.
"What happened this morning..." I began to speak.
"It was fun!" Colby smiled at me cheekily.
I smiled back, glad to see that he was okay with everything.
The sound of Stephanie descending the stairs invaded the surroundings
as Colby switched off the television and stood up.
"What's it gonna be?"
----
"I want that one!" Colby pointed excitedly at a tree that looked as
though it were about fourteen feet tall.
"Don't you think that's a bit much?" I asked in awe.
"Nope! It's perfect!"
"Well I think it's too big personally." Stephanie took a drag of her
cigarette and stared at the tree as though it were some sort of a virus.
"What about this one?" I asked, pointing at a six foot tall tree a few
rows down.
"It's okay I guess..." Colby shrugged, looking slightly disappointed.
"Do you really want to have to cut a hole in the ceiling just to have
that tree?" I asked amused.
Colby looked at me impishly and laughed a little, "I guess you're
right... We can get that one."
I smiled as one of the lot attendants came over and confirmed the
order, taking the tree down and dragging it to the prep area.
"I want to do that when I grow up!" Colby commented, staring at the
figure of the lot attendant dragging the tree into the distance.
I laughed a little, "That's all you want to do? Drag trees around?"
"Yeah I'm strong enough!" Colby flexed his imaginary muscles, only
causing Stephanie to laugh and extinguish her now finished cigarette under
foot.
"You sure are buddy." She commented as she patted his head and walked
towards the attendant, fishing her wallet from her purse.
"I've got this one." I commented as I jogged up to meet her, pulling my
wallet out and depositing a fifty dollar bill into the attendant's hand.
Stephanie looked at me with mild annoyance, "Why can't I buy it?"
"Simple, because it was my idea to get it today." I stuck my tongue out
at Stephanie only causing her to laugh a little.
Colby joined us and stared at his Mom, "Yeah its fine for Jake to buy
it, he's rich!"
I shook my head and ruffled Colby's hair, "I am far from rich my little
friend."
"You've got more money than I do!" He commented.
"Well that's not saying a whole lot..." I laughed a little and rubbed
the back of my head.
We all followed the attendant as he tied the tree to the top of the
Pacifica. This was the first time I had ever seen anything tied to the top
of my car and felt reminded of how dirty it was. I grumbled a little.
I thanked the attendant as we all piled in and made our way down the
road, Stephanie looked through her purse for a piece of gum and my mind
tried to reconcile my desire to clean my car with my innately lazy nature.
As I pulled out onto the main road a thought suddenly occurred to me,
"When is Susan coming into town, I forgot." I blushed; I wasn't really all
that good at keeping up with dates.
"Next Wednesday I believe." Stephanie commented, as she stuffed a piece
of gum into her mouth and chewed it.
"Wow that was quick..." I mused, turning onto another street.
"I guess she's going to be staying with us?" Stephanie asked.
I blinked; I never really took into account the whole living situation
when we started packing. "I guess she'll have to what with all the boxes
and stuff..."
"Plenty of room, it'll be great to have her home." Stephanie smiled and
gazed out of her window.
"Susan's coming!?" Colby asked, perching forward on his seat.
"Yep she's coming home for Christmas."
"Cool! We can all play Guitar Master together!"
I nodded and stared at him through the rear view mirror with amusement.
As we pulled into the driveway the two scurried from their seats and
onto the porch, I suddenly felt a little abandoned. "Am I supposed to get
this tree all by myself!?"
Chapter Twenty One
By the time the tree had been freed from it's ropes and it crashed to
the pavement below, I had already been attacked by two splinters and felt
regret for choosing this day to purchase a tree. I stared at Stephanie and
Colby who were laughing heartily at my situation, and I stared with great
discontent at the tree below me.
"Insidious beast..." I murmured.
"You're a man you're supposed to do stuff like this!" Stephanie giggled
delightfully at my predicament.
I shot her an evil stare and managed to pick up the tree. "Oh wait till
later, just you wait."
After managing to bring it inside and hurt myself several more times in
the process of securing it in its stand, Stephanie smiled and took a seat
on the sofa.
"Guess we're all done huh?"
Colby looked at his Mother aghast, "What about the decorations!?"
Stephanie laughed and rolled her eyes playfully, "Of course, of
course. They're in the attic though so somebody has to get them."
I looked at her with mock horror and stared at my little boyfriend
below me, "Care to be my assistant?"
He nodded as we made our way up the stairs and towards the door that
led to the attic above us. Colby looked at it with slight trepidation and
then up at me.
"It's really scary up there." He commented.
"Nothing to be worried about, I'm here to protect you." I smiled and
patted him on the shoulder.
As the door creaked open and the familiar smell of pine invaded our
noses, I looked at the cobweb ridden stairs and suddenly realized that this
was an area of their home that Stephanie cared less about cleaning. I
looked into the top and saw nothing but darkness. My hands reached across
the wall trying to find a light switch and upon locating it switched it
on. The sight of the ominous attic left little doubt as to why Colby was
frightened of it.
"Can I hold your hand?" Colby asked, looking at me with blue eyes full
of fear.
I smiled and wrapped my hand around his, "Of course, there's nothing to
be worried about though."
We both climbed the stairs together, the sound of creaking meeting our
ears as we ascended higher and higher into the house. The coldness of
winter was felt most profoundly at this elevation where heat could not
reach, and the sight of several boxes and chests came into view. Once we
had entered the top and I looked around, I was amazed by the sheer size of
the space.
"This would be a cool bedroom." I remarked, looking around and to Colby
who was holding onto me for dear life.
"Yeah you can sleep here all you want..." Colby murmured.
In a far corner I saw a few boxes that had `CHRISTMAS' written across
the side and walked towards them with Colby in tow.
I felt for the lightest of the collection and handed it to Colby,
watching as he very quickly ran towards the stairs and back down into the
home. I laughed a little, stacking the remaining three boxes and standing
with them firmly in my grasp. I began to walk slowly towards the stairs and
caught sight of a dark shadow in the corner. I quickly looked away and then
back, it had mysteriously disappeared from sight. I blinked a little and
just shook my head.
"It couldn't be..."
I climbed down the stairs and placed the boxes on the ground below me,
turning to shut the attic door. I shivered a little as I became
re-accustomed to the warmth of the home.
"You abandoned me huh?" I asked Colby as I sat the boxes next to the
tree.
"No I didn't!" Colby said trying to defend himself, only causing myself
and Stephanie to laugh.
"He never was a big fan of the attic." Stephanie commented as she rose
from the sofa and stared sorting through the boxes.
"You know I think I saw a ghost while I was up there."
Colby looked at me petrified, "NO WAY!"
I laughed and hugged him tightly with one arm, "No worries, I told him
to leave you alone."
I looked over to the window and saw that a few flakes of snow had
finally decided to fall. I was right about the gray sky from this morning,
and it filled me with delight to finally see some.
"Look outside." I nudged Colby who turned his head to gaze out onto the
lawn.
"Snow!" He exclaimed, running to the window with delight as he stared
out at the white flakes falling gently onto the grass below.
Stephanie smiled and stood, walking over to the lawn to join him,
"Perfect night for it huh?"
"Yeah!" Colby exclaimed, obviously as delighted as I was.
I smiled at the both of them standing there, they were a perfect
pair. I suddenly felt a pang of remembrance as Christmas' with my own
Mother started flowing back to me. For all of her flaws, she always tried
to make that time of year a very special occasion. We always had great
decorations, plenty of winter time snacks and plenty of presents beneath
the tree. I really hadn't had an enjoyable Christmas since she died but I
was hoping that this year would be different.
As a single tear managed to fall onto my cheek, I wiped it away,
Stephanie apparently had felt my mood and left her son standing at the
window to come and wrap her arms around me, "We've got each other this
year, you are as much a part of this family as anyone."
I smiled and hugged her back, wresting my chin atop her head, "Thanks
Stephanie I really appreciate it."
I sniffed a little as I stared at Colby, still completely entranced by
the wintry precipitation as it fell. The smell of the Christmas tree and
the decorations were all too perfect, and for the first time in a very long
time I felt as though I was home. I felt as though I finally had something
that couldn't be torn away from me, and that I was more than just a dot
upon the plane of reality, wondering aimlessly for some unknown end.
By the time Stephanie had released me and Colby had broken his trance,
the promise of decorating the tree became reality and I fell to my knees to
help sort through the boxes. Colby smiled at me, completely unaware of my
emotional moment just a few minutes ago.
---
By the time the last ornament was hung it was already four and the
promise of work had finally arrived. I sighed a little as I stared at my
replacement family and began to regret having signed up to work this night.
"I've got to get going in a few minutes for work." I announced, without
the least bit of joy.
"Aw do you have to?" Colby asked, as he stood up and stared at me in
disbelief.
I nodded and smiled at Stephanie who returned it.
"I'll be back after work though, no worries."
As I bid my goodbyes and piled into the Pacifica, the snow had already
begun to stick to the road and I decided to be a tad more cautious than I
usually was.
I backed out into the road and stared hopelessly at the warm little
home that I had been in only moments before, my breath visible in front of
me in my heatless car. I drove forward, slowly and cautiously towards my
ultimate destination. I was wearing jeans and a t-shirt but I didn't really
care. I didn't want to go to work and it's not like anyone would see
anyway.
Chapter Twenty Two
By the time I arrived at work, it became immediately apparent that the
night would be fairly uneventful. Marco and Benjamin were inside conversing
briskly about one thing or another, and the lack of clientèle seemed even
more apparent than usual. As I closed the car door and approached the
entrance, I saw an immaculately appointed sign advertising hot chocolate,
obviously placed as an attempt by Benjamin to seem worthy.
As the door shut behind me and I shook the few flakes of snow that
managed to cling to me to the floor below, a singular greeting of 'Hello'
reached my ears, and I merely smiled in return. I wasn't in the mood to
give Benjamin a hard time and I was generally pleased to be working with
Marco despite my desire to be back with Colby and Stephanie.
"Nice sign." I said, managing a slight smile as I climbed behind the
kiosk and watched Benjamin's expression turn to one of gratitude.
"Truly? I felt that it may be an ideal gimmick for attracting new
customers!" His brace ridden smile almost seemed genuine.
"It's an idea definitely, too bad they won't be coming."
Marco waved a little as I turned to him and smiled. "What's up?"
He shrugged nonchalantly, "Not a lot, just waiting till closing time."
I nodded in response and leaned against the counter, staring at a box
of hot chocolate that Benjamin had doubtlessly picked up on the way in.
"Since you have been burdened with the responsibility of finding a
replacement for young Rob, I assume that you will be taking care of
scheduling in his absence?" Benjamin cut through the silence and through my
congenial mood quite expertly.
"Not really sure, never thought about it." My voice trailed off as the
idea of taking on the responsibility of management in any capacity seemed
daunting.
"I would of course be greatly pleased to take the responsibility off
your hands!" Benjamin mused with his fingers tapping together.
My left eyebrow arched as I caught sight of Marco snickering a
little. "I think I've got this."
I tipped my invisible hat to my companions and flipped over the kiosk
into the dining room. Within moments I found myself inside the office and
the variety of papers and folders surrounding me began to leave me
breathless.
By the time I located what appeared to be a blank schedule, I placed a
pen to the paper and my mind began to run wildly. I quickly marked in what
I would work and then looked at the empty spaces. It was never necessary to
have more than one barista at the store at a time, but there always seemed
to be two for some reason. Whether that was due to the bosses desire to
waste as much money as possible or just Rob's desire to be prepared for any
eventuality, I wasn't exactly sure. I looked at last weeks schedule and
began to moan a little.
As I leaned back and stared into the empty coffee shop, I began to feel
my heart quicken. The concept of asking Benjamin to do this was beyond me,
and I wasn't entirely sure whether Marco would be any more successful than
I was. I cleared my throat, braced myself against the desk, and made the
decision to go with the most unsure option first. "Marco!" I yelled.
"Coming!" Marco called out as he walked out of the kiosk and back
towards the office. I saw Benjamin's beady eyes glare back to see what was
going on. As soon as Marco entered and I stared up at him, a mischievous
smile crossed my face.
"Just out of curiosity, have you ever done this kind of thing before?"
Marco laughed a little and as my face turned dead serious, his did as
well. "You're serious?" He asked with slight regret at his previous
reaction.
"Well, yeah... I mean it's not like Rob ever had a high opinion of me
or anything."
Marco looked as though he was deep in thought before he finally smiled
and patted my shoulder. "I'm pretty sure the only person here whose ever
done it is Benjamin."
I felt my face turn red and my insides churn uncomfortably. "You know
that just isn't... feasible..."
Marco smirked a little. "Look I know the guy is a pain, but he really
knows this place inside and out. He would honestly make a good choice when
it comes right down to it. It's not like he has any desire to do anything
else except play WoW... you guys actually have a lot more in common than
you think."
If looks could kill, well let's just say that Marco would have been on
the floor. I really can't imagine that there is any colder an observation
than that. So what if we both liked games? I was by far and away a more
functional person than he was! At least I thought so...
I sighed and rubbed my temples with my thumb and index finger. "Fine,
call him in."
Marco grinned a little, I even detected a little apology within it, and
I watched with great foreboding as he walked back towards the front and
instructed Benjamin to join me in the office.
I watched as Benjamin approached at a speed that someone of his size
rarely rarely achieved.
"So you've done the schedules before?"
"That is indeed a correct observation! I was entrusted with many
responsibilities by Rob when he was not at his best. Although I should
mention I've never once taken a sick day in my 1.6 years of employment."
I managed to keep myself from yelling at him out of annoyance and
merely cleared my throat. "I'm not, well, I do have an idea of sorts I
guess."
I hit my head against the desk as he quickly grabbed a chair from the
dining room and sat in front of me, his eyes locked with mine as soon as my
head raised.
"You and I don't exactly see eye to eye on a lot of things, and there
is a GREAT deal about you that I just don't get. I am, however, aware that
you know how to do this job but I am curious, if you were general manager
how would you turn this place around?"
Benjamin grinned and sat back, crossing his arms across his chest. "I
think the immediate issue at hand is the lack of decorative theme. This
place is a general hodge podge of cheaply acquired possessions merely
intended to fill the void of nothing. A lighter color pallet would be more
appealing to the eyes, with themed decorations and a more welcoming livery
for the outdoors. Aside from that, actually finding a decent coffee
distributor, upgrading to an actual espresso machine and investing in an
adequate advertising strategy coupled with a name change would put us on
par with our outer Portland competitors."
I began to feel my stomach fall within the confines of my body. I knew
that he had thought of what he would do, but anything aside from a sci-fi
themed Trekkie coffee house seemed impossible for him to think of. These
ideas, on the other hand, actually sounded well put together and as though
they could work.
I guessed I had sat in silence for too long when Benjamin tapped my lap
lightly, "Are you alright young master?"
I shook my head and nodded a little, "Yeah I'm just, well I'm
surprised."
Benjamin smiled a little. "I know that your previous rejection of my
offer for companionship was based upon a crude perception of me as a lay
about, a loser, a slob. I am simply not any of these things! I do indeed
enjoy such practices as computer building, LaRPing and being a prodigious
gamer, but I do know at what point a mind of temperament and
professionalism is required."
I smiled a little and suddenly felt a pang of regret for how I had
treated him for so long, "So it would seem..." I commented and remained
silent for a moment more.
"Look, I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing. I don't know who needs
to work when, what needs to be ordered and I have absolutely no desire to
ever learn about it. I called you back here to make you do it until I found
someone, well ANYONE other than yourself to become general manager, but
maybe I'm considering that now."
Benjamin smiled a little, not a goofy brace ridden smile but a smile of
true appreciation for what I was saying. "I thank you for that..."
I nodded. "You are, for all intensive purposes, general manager for the
next two weeks. I need long enough to look at Stephanie and Myranda as
possibilities as well." I rubbed my temples again, not completely sure that
what I was doing was the right thing, but from what I had heard he was more
than capable.
Benjamin nodded, "I accept the challenge whole heartedly. I trust you
will find me as a capable leader in due time."
I nodded and stood, watching Benjamin replace me in the chair and set
work on creating a suitable schedule for the next week. As I began to walk
forward I stopped suddenly and turned around to look at him at work. I
opened my mouth a little and then closed it. Benjamin's head turned as he
looked at me with curiosity. "Is there something else I can assist you
with?"
I sighed a little, "Why haven't you gone to college?"
"Indeed I have, in fact."
I raised my eyebrow a little. "When?"
"I received my masters in literature a couple of years ago."
I blinked a little, what the hell was he still doing here then?
Benjamin smirked, apparently anticipating my question. "I am merely 21
and was unable to live a true childhood so I came here to fill the void
left by such a lack of experience. I am well equipped with an education
that can propel me into success in any endeavor I choose, but I truly feel
my calling to be somewhere within the business field."
I nodded and breathed a bit of a sigh. I guess Benjamin and I were more
alike and more different than I ever knew. "I was just curious, I'll leave
you alone now."
Benjamin nodded and returned to work.
Chapter Twenty Three
The remainder of the night was uneventful, Benjamin had posted the
schedule fairly quickly and contacted Stephanie and Myranda to make sure
everything was acceptable by them. While the sign for hot chocolate had
done little but attract a couple passing strangers who didn't feel like
trudging closer to the city for a decent cup, it didn't exactly have the
same customer drawing effect that Benjamin had hoped for. I spent some time
consoling him, against my better judgment, and after everything was closed
and we all bid our farewells, I climbed into the Pacifica and headed back
towards Stephanie's.
By the time I managed to travel ten of the twenty requisite blocks, I
began to notice an unfamiliar jerking sensation and saw the temperature
gauge on my instrument panel rise to previously unforeseen levels. I
gripped the steering wheel tightly and began to pray silently, I knew
absolutely nothing about cars and wasn't completely sure of what I would do
if she finally decided to clunk out on me in the middle of a snow storm.
It became apparent that my fifteen mile per hour speed was slowly
becoming a five mile per hour crawl without any doing on my part. I felt
suddenly resigned to my fate of walking for several blocks to find
Stephanie and some sort of help. My cheap nature and inability to accept a
cellphone as a necessity suddenly felt a poor choice to me. I wasn't in the
mood to walk so far and I definitely didn't want to do it in the snow.
I began to watch as smoke rose from the sides of my hood and managed to
slide myself into a ditch and turn the ignition off. I sat still for a
moment, holding the key in my hand and feeling a bit of remorse. This car,
which had carried me from North Carolina to Oregon and had seen so much,
seemed as able to see the changing tides as I was. I was going on to a new
place and apparently I'd be going on to a new car. Had I a trumpet, and any
musical ability, it would have been an ideal time to play taps. Since I had
neither I simply opened the door, stepped out and shut it behind me. I
stood for a brief moment and stared at my car, the smoke decreasing a small
amount. I wasn't about to open the hood and see what was causing it.
I walked up the snow covered sidewalk, taking as much care as I could
to not make any unintentional snow angels and found it surprisingly easy to
not notice the cold. My mind was racing a million miles a minute and there
wasn't a single space within it that wasn't confined with something. The
immediate concern of my car, the fact of Benjamin actually being a feasible
option for manager and of course my make shift family a mere eight blocks
away. It was difficult to settle on which issue was most important at that
point, but it did at least turn my eight block journey into a fairly quick
one. By the time I reached the porch and held my hand out for the door
knob, it had already flew open with Stephanie and Colby staring at me with
concern and relief mingled on their faces.
"Where have you been? Where's your car?" Stephanie asked quickly,
pulling me inside and closing the door behind me.
I shivered a little as the warm air collided with the frozen state of
my skin, "I think she finally decided to join that big junk yard in the
sky."
Stephanie looked concerned and Colby groaned a little.
"I like your car!" Colby said exasperated.
"Well I like it a lot myself but stuff happens, I do need to find a tow
truck though."
Stephanie nodded and was already off towards the kitchen to retrieve
her phone book.
By the time I collapsed on the sofa, Stephanie was already ordering a
tow truck to prowl the area and Colby had plopped down next to me and
entwined his fingers within my own.
"Are you okay? He asked with a look of concern on his face.
I nodded and smiled, ruffling his hair a little. It felt very nice
against my cold hands. "I'm good, I really hope they can fix my car but I'm
thinking by the way it was smoking shes a goner. Either way I'll just have
to figure out something."
Colby smiled a little, "A new car would be cool!"
I laughed, "Not really sure about a NEW car but we'll see..."
Stephanie smiled and sat across from us, "They said it will take awhile
because of the weather but they are going to take your car to the mechanic
I used to go to when I had a car."
Colby blinked in surprise, "YOU had a car!?"
Stephanie laughed a little at his reaction. "Once upon a time. I just
really don't see any need to have one since I'm so close to both of my jobs
and since we have a good public transportation system."
"More power to you." I rolled my eyes as she hit me with a decorative
pillow. I smirked a little.
"What kind of car do you want to get?" Colby asked, hopping up and
down.
"Something I can fit in that won't burst into flames."
Colby giggled, "That's no fun."
I smiled as Stephanie broke our moment. "Are you hungry?"
I nodded and smiled, "Starving, actually."
Stephanie disappeared from the room long enough to fix me a bowl of
chili and delivered it to my cold hands in no time. I dug in as Colby
snuggled by my side and watched a movie that was just coming on the
television.
By the time I emptied my bowl and Stephanie disappeared into the
kitchen, the phone rang and I felt my heart sink into my stomach.
Stephanie grabbed for it and answered, "Yes... Yes.... I
understand.... I'll let him know... Thanks again!" She hung up the phone
and sat in front of me.
"What's the prognosis Doctor?" I asked mischievously.
"Initial tests would indicate Lupus."
I laughed and looked over at Colby who was completely bewildered by our
current conversation.
"He thinks your engine block is cracked, which is pretty much the cost
of your car or more to repair. He can't be sure but he said he'll get back
to us in the morning."
I sighed, "Thought as much. Well I guess there isn't too much reason to
stay up and wait for anything to happen. I'm off to bed."
Colby smiled and tugged at my arm, "My bed?" He asked, his eyes full of
excitement and anticipation.
I laughed a little and smiled, "Sure, I'll be waiting for you."
As I rose and kissed Stephanie goodnight, I ascended the stairs and
walked into Colby's room. I changed into a pair of pajamas before sinking
between the covers. As my body warmed I listened to the distant sound of
dishes being washed and Colby being ushered back and forth to complete
various activities. By the time I heard good nights and Stephanie shut her
door behind her, I saw Colby's bedroom door crack open and his head peer
in. I gave a little wave to let him know I was still awake.
He grinned and walked in, closing the door behind him and turned to
face me. "Can't sleep?"
I shrugged, "Just thinking."
"Yeah me too." Colby smiled impishly. I began to feel my crotch grow a
little.
Before I could say anything I saw Colby undress in a flurry that very
much matched the quickness with which the snow fell. By the time he removed
his underwear and I had the briefest of glimpses at his beautiful penis, he
had already crawled onto my best and was staring into my eyes.
I smiled back and gave him a peck on the cheek. If any part of me had
remained cold, it was now completely warm and I was as happy as I possibly
could be.
"Can you do it to me again?" Colby asked. I hadn't exactly expected him
to want to go again so soon, but who was I to refuse such a request?
I smiled and kissed him deeply, our lips remained locked together for a
few minutes. By the time we parted I nodded as he straddled my chest and
stuck his penis within sight of my mouth. I had to keep myself from
laughing, the quickness with which he moved made me feel as though he
wanted this as badly as I did.
"You're pretty horny huh?" I asked with mild amusement.
Colby looked down at me with curiosity. "What's that mean?"
I grinned a little. "Horny means you want to have sex."
Colby thought for a moment, his face contorted in deep though. "Is this
sex?"
I blushed a little and looked over at the window for a moment before I
recaptured his gaze. His ever hard penis still mere inches from my
face. "There are different kinds of sex, this particular kind is called
oral sex."
He nodded and smiled, "Okay then yes, I'm horny!" He giggled as he
shook his hips a little, causing his tiny member to dance delightedly
before me.
I smiled and let my hands gently caress the contours of his side as I
slid him forward a little, letting his member pass into my mouth and
enveloping it completely with my tongue. It was a tad salty from him not
having a bath that day, but the aroma and feeling within me was as
wonderful as it had been the first time. As I pursed my lips tightly and
bobbed back and forth, I began to hear his breathing increase and even felt
his hips move a little to match my rhythm.
As my penis throbbed tightly within my underwear, my hands had caught
hold of Colby's smooth ass and found themselves incapable of letting
go. The ease with which he learned to thrust with my sucks and the level of
intense pleasure he was feeling were nearly enough to cause me to burst
then and there. To say that the first time was the most amazing moment of
my entire life seemed selling this time incredibly short. I began to feel
an intense appreciation for this particular position.
Colby's body began to become more tense and tight as his thrusts became
more pronounced. At a certain point he thrust in such a way as to make it
slightly uncomfortable, but I didn't mind. The fact that he was
concentrating so hard and feeling so much only heightened the pleasure of
the experience for me. I felt his hands fall down and grab my hair, finding
themselves tangled within my brown locks.
As I increased my pace his cock began to jerk and his hands grabbed the
headboard with as much force as they could muster. His body froze as I
continued my assault and I let my hand rise up and cover his moans as he
jerked violently within my mouth. With each bob, with each lick, I felt his
orgasm rise and fall and the tenseness of his muscles begin to
dissentigrate.
By the time I felt his penis begin to calm and my mouth left it's
temporary home, I watched as Colby fell off of my chest and onto his
side. His arms and legs wrapped tightly around me. I looked into Colby's
eyes with as much an expression of adoration and appreciation as I ever
could show. "I love you."
Colby smiled back, his eyes heavy with exhaustion, "I love you too."
We fell asleep just like that, entwined together with nothing but a
sense of absolute peace and adoration between the two of us.
