Subject: Wayne the Wrestler chapter 8

Disclaimer: This story is fiction. I made it all up. The people in the
story aren't real people. I made them up. The things that happen in the
story didn't really happen. I made them up too.

I am personally repulsed by the idea that grown men would manipulate the
emotions of vulnerable young children for their own sexual gratification.
However, as a writer I challenge myself to "get inside the mind" of my
characters. In Wayne the Wrestler, I have attempted to present the
blossoming relationship between a 30-year-old man and a 12-year-old boy. In
doing so, I have tried to present both characters sympathetically. However,
this story should not be construed as an endorsement either of pedophilia
or of its insidious methods.

I would appreciate any responses, positive or negative.

Wayne the Wrestler - Chapter 8

Raven was watering the plants in the living room when the doorbell rang.

"What the hell are you doing here this early, Wayne." Raven checked his
watch and sure enough it was only noon. "You better not be playing hooky."

"It's a half day today, Sir. School let out early `cause tomorrow is
Thanksgiving." He started peeling off his clothes.

"Does your momma know?"

"I sort of didn't tell her, Sir. I thought we could have more time together
this way." He had expected more joy from Raven at his surprise. His momma
never seemed to consider his schedule anyway.

"Well, you could have given me some warning, slave boy."

"I'm sorry, Sir." Wayne stopped pulling off his dungarees. "Do you want me
to go?"

"Fuck, no, slave boy." Wayne went back to stripping. "I'm just thinking
what if I'd been out shopping, or had company over, or was taking a nap, or
. . ."

"Yeah, I guess I wasn't thinking, Sir, I'm sorry." Wayne cheered up when he
saw Raven start to strip.

"OK, you going to show me what you learned yesterday at wrestling?"

Wayne suddenly got real serious. "Well, we didn't have wrestling yesterday.
At lunch, Walter and I were sitting there and Benny doesn't show up, and we
were both worried like maybe he was sick or something, and I told Walter
I'll find out what happened after school from his Dad, you know Benny's Dad
is Coach Johnston, . . . " Raven nodded, then sat down on the couch. He
knew this could take a while. "And I told Walter I'd call him last night
and tell him. But when I got to the weight room, there was this sign on
the door that said `Wrestling canceled.' And that was weird, so the other
kids and me, we ran to catch the buses before they left, and when I got
home I told Momma, because she thought I had wrestling, you know, . . ."
Raven nodded again. "And she said maybe I should call Benny's house and
find out what the story is, so I called and there was no answer, and I
called again later and there was no answer. And then I called Walter
because he was waiting for me to tell him and I told him when I got to the
weight room there was this sign on the door, well, I guess I don't have to
repeat what I told Walter." Raven looked up and mouthed "Thank you" but
Wayne kept right on, "Well then this morning, they called the wrestling
team down to the office and they said Coach Johnston had a stroke and they
said . . ."

"Hold on, Wayne. Say that again."

Wayne put his story into rewind and started in again, "They said Coach
Johnston had a stroke. They said he's gonna be out of school a long
time. They said they're going to try to find a new coach or else, . . . "
Wayne swallowed hard. "Or else, they might cancel wrestling." Wayne had
tried to be strong but he couldn't hold back any more. He laid on the couch
and cried into the cushions.

Raven lifted the boy up and set him in his lap and hugged him, whispering
to go ahead and cry, he understood, but somehow things would be ok he
thought. He started kissing the top of Wayne's head, but Wayne raised his
face and kissed Raven on the mouth.

When Wayne started to settle down, they went into the kitchen for some
coke, and Raven changed the subject. He told Wayne how proud he was at the
meet. They reviewed his entire match. Raven remembered each detail as
clearly as Wayne did. Wayne didn't even feel bad when Raven pointed out a
few mistakes he had made. Wayne said he felt a little better and maybe they
could play something.

"You name it, slave boy."

Wayne went down the menu in his mind. "Well, I, uh, have to pee, Sir. Maybe
we can start with the golden showers game."

"Good choice, slave boy." Raven took Wayne's hand and they marched up the
stairs together. Raven took his position in the tub and Wayne let him have
it right in the eyes.

"Oops, sorry." He managed to find Raven's mouth before his stream ended.

"Your aim is improving, slave boy. I think you've been practicing." Wayne
grinned sheepishly. "I just wonder whose face you've been practicing on!"
Wayne dropped his mouth. "Yeah, you better keep that mouth open. `Cause now
it's my turn." They traded places, Raven had his leak, and then they
showered off.

In bed, they stroked each other a long time, just for the pleasure of it
because neither one felt especially horny. Even when they rimmed each other
and sucked each other, they didn't keep a hardon. "Is that ok, Sir?"

"Why do you ask, slave boy?"

"Well, you didn't get your rocks off, Sir." Where did the kid learn these
expressions? "You didn't cum."

"No, but you didn't cum today either, slave boy."

"Yeah, but I still felt good doing what we did. It was warm and soft and
nice and . . . "

"and loving?"

"Yeah, I guess so, Sir. I felt you were loving me."

"And that's how I felt too, slave boy. I felt loved. You don't always need
to cum when you make love. Sometimes it's just nice to relax and not worry
about cumming." Wayne smiled and went downstairs to get his clothes.

"Happy Thanksgiving, Sir."

"Thank you, slave boy, you've given me lots to be thankful for."

------

A week later, Wayne came running in the door. The excitement had returned.
"Guess what?" he said as he jumped out of his pants. "The team got called
to the office again today and they told us we have a new coach."

"That's great, Wayne. Who?"

"I don't know who the fuck it is. Oh, sorry, I'm just excited that's
all. We'll meet him next Tuesday, they said. We gotta bring our sniglets
and jocks and all. You know what this means, Sir? It means we won't have to
forfeit our next meet!"

"Wow, that's swell. I'll make sure I get there."

"Really, you're going to be at my meet again, Sir?"

"Fuck, yes, slave boy. I wouldn't miss it. It's the Phoenixes." Wayne's jaw
dropped. Raven had memorized his meet schedule.

"We better make sure you didn't forget all the things you learned."

"But I didn't bring my sniglet. It's still home."

"That's ok. We'll practice naked."

"Fuck, sure, why not?"

"You know this is how they wrestled back in ancient Greece."

"Wow, really? They wrestled naked?"

"They did all their sports naked. Go get the dictionary from my desk, slave
boy." Wayne ran and got it. "You do know how to use a dictionary, slave
boy?" Wayne gave him a look of exasperation. "I guess so. OK, look up the
word `Gymnasium.' Wayne quickly turned the pages.

"I got it. It says, `large room used for various indoor sports.' Fuck, I
knew that, Sir."

"You skipped the stuff at the beginning. Here, look, see `fr' that stands
for `from' and `Gk' that stands for Greek, so `gymnasium' comes from this
Greek word here."

Wayne sounded it out, "'gym - na - zein, to exercise naked.' Well, I'll be
damned. I gotta tell that to the kids at school. Fuck, why can't we be
naked in gym today?"

Wayne reviewed the throws, lifts and takedowns he had learned. Raven kept
correcting him for keeping his head too low and not pointing his foot to
the side.

As they sat at the kitchen table, Raven asked about Benny. "Oh we still
play together. He's coming over on Saturday and we're gonna go bike
riding. He's one of our gang now."

"That's good, slave boy. It will help him not to worry about his dad."

"Thanks again, Sir, for making me sit with him. You know, on Thanksgiving
we went over to my aunt's house and she has this big house and this big
family, well she only has five kids, and with the cousins and the aunts and
uncles and Grandpa and all, there were eighteen there, and we all sat at
this long table . . ." Raven wondered where all this was going, but he
listened anyway. ". . . and my aunt says before we cut the bird, we should
go around the table and tell what we're thankful for, and she said she was
thankful for her five kids, and then Grandpa said he was thankful to be
alive, and cousin Ruth, she's my mother's brother's daughter, well I forget
what she was thankful for. Well, anyway, when it was my turn, I said I was
thankful for my new friend Benny." Raven gave him a tight hug. "Now I'm
also thankful for you, Mr. Raven, but you always said it was our secret so
I didn't say that out loud, but I said it to myself, you know."

When Wayne got ready to leave, while he was putting his pants on, he said,
"Next week, I'll tell you all about our new coach, Sir.

------

Wayne kept reminding his momma to wash his singlets and his jock and she
kept kept reminding him they were already washed from last time. As soon as
he got home on Monday, he put them in his schoolbag. He wanted to be sure
he was ready for practice on Tuesday. On the bus the next day, he sat
beside another team member and they kept speculating about the new
coach. Whenever he saw another team member that day, he asked what they
knew, and nobody knew anything. They all reported the rumors they had
heard, but Wayne knew they didn't really know squat, didn't know any more
than he did.

When the last period ended, Wayne rushed over to the weight room and waited
with the other boys. The principal came around, unlocked the door, and told
them to go in. The new coach was just filling some forms out in his office
and he'd be there real soon. The boys stripped down and put their jocks and
singlets on. "Ah, here he is now. Boys, this is your new coach, Mr. Raven."
Wayne couldn't believe it.

"Good afternoon, boys. As you heard, I'm Coach Raven, and I want to make
you all good wrestlers. I know Coach Johnston got you off to a good start
and . . ."

"Hey," it was Stanley, "I remember you. You were sitting in the stands at
the last meet. You were sitting behind my parents."

"Very good, you have a good memory. Yes, I was there and so I know what you
boys are capable of. I think we're going to have a fine team. I want to
respect all of you and I want to earn your respect also. Now, let me call
off the roster and see just who is who. Which one is Wayne?"

"That's me, Coach."

------

"That wasn't fair."

"What's not fair, slave boy?"

"You knew all along you were the new coach and you never said nothing. I
almost pissed my pants when you walked in yesterday."

"I'm sorry, slave boy, but you know I couldn't tell you ahead of time."

"Fuck, I can keep a secret."

"Well, let's just say I wanted to surprise you then."

"But, how did you do it?"

"Well, someone told me that the school needed a new wrestling coach, and I
remembered I used to wrestle in college, so I went to the school board and
filled out an application and they interviewed me and checked me out, I
guess, and . . . "

"Hey, you sure do take a long time to tell a story, Sir." They hugged each
other.

At school, Wayne alternated between saying "Coach Raven" and "Mr. Raven,"
occasionally using "Sir," but of course all these were acceptable options.
Raven, on the other hand, had to bite his tongue many times. During his
first meet as Coach, a meet with the Phoenixes, Raven could see Wayne was
setting up for a fireman's carry. The Phoenix had just stepped into him and
Wayne was penetrating his right hand between his legs. As he dropped to his
knees and his hand drove through the crotch, his impressed coach yelled,
"that's it, slave boy." Thankfully, the noise in the gym drowned out the
remark. No one heard it. Except Wayne. He lost concentration, his left hand
lost its grip on the Phoenix's arm. Instead of getting thrown, the Phoenix
scored an escape. Several times throughout the season, Raven would feel the
words "slave boy" start to surface, and struggle to squash the words
mid-throat. He even avoided using the term on Wednesdays. He was hoping to
bury it deep. Wayne had been so good about keeping their secret and here
he was carelessly letting the cat out of the bag.

The rest of the season passed with no matches forfeited, and one match
actually won by the Squirrels, their best season ever! Some individual team
members, of course, had a better record. At the awards dinner, no one
objected when Wayne received the MVP award. He was glad Momma was there
that night.

After the ceremony, Raven shook hands with Wayne's mother and congratulated
her for having such a fine son. He told her he thought Wayne had some real
potential as a wrestler. Of course, the season was over, but would she mind
if Wayne continued the Wednesday practice sessions. They could do them at
his house now instead of the school. She told him that she didn't want her
son becoming a bully, and Raven assured her that wasn't going to happen.
Momma asked Wayne if he wanted to do that and Wayne said "Yes, Momma,"
catching himself before he said, "Fuck, Yes."

In chapter 9, Wayne helps Raven prepare for Christmas, is shaved, and gets
a very special present. A few weeks later Wayne has his wonderful dream
come true.
