Chapter Six

The two days after Derrick found out he could be HIV positive were the
longest in his life. He walked around in a virtual daze, avoiding friends
and even family members. Jayson on the other hand was dealing with the
situation much better. He called the hospital and arranged for an HIV test.
He also spoke with the pastor of a nearby church about the situation and
agreed to counselling, both for HIV and the rape.

Right after the evening news on the third day, Jayson was on the couch with
Derrick. They had watched the news in silence. As he laid his head in
Derrick's lap, Jayson wondered what was going through his mind. But he was
afraid to ask.

"I love you," Jayson whispered. Derrick looked down at him and then slowly
reached down and kissed him on his lips. It was the first romantic
response he had gotten out of Derrick since the incident.

Derrick's kiss lingered for what seemed like an eternity and the tenderness
was revived memories of happier times.

Dinner that evening was a pleasant one, with conversation dwelling on
things that reflected happier times. As they retired to bed, Derrick held
Jayson in his arms and for the first time since they were together, he just
cried.

As his tears flowed freely, Jayson just held him back and the tender moment
lasted for what seemed an eternity.

"I love you Jayson," Derrick said through his tears.

Jayson's response was to hold his man more firmly and the two of them
drifted off into sweet slumber, secured in the knowledge that as long as
they have each other, things were going to be all right.

Derrick was the first to wake up in the morning. Sporting his usual morning
hard-on, he slowly eased himself out of bed and headed for the
bathroom. After he had used the facilities, he tiptoed back to the bed and
kissed Jayson gently.

"Good morning sweetheart," Jayson whispered sleepily.

"I thought you were still asleep, my love," Derrick whispered back.

Jayson reached up and embraced his lover, pulling him down unto him in the
bed. They shared a passionate morning kiss that was the beginning of what
would turn out to be a hot lovemaking session.

By the time they realized it, Derrick and Jayson had been making love for
close to forty-five minutes. Their bodies were moist with sweat; but
Derrick's cock was rock hard and lifting Jayson to heights of pleasure he
hadn't experienced in a long time.

"I'm cumin," Jayson moaned, as his partner continued to make long, slow
strokes, each forward thrust sending bolts of ecstasy through his body as
Derrick's cock massaged his prostate.

Jayson's body tensed up and Derrick held still. Wave after wave of hot cum
flowed from Jayson's cock unto the sheets beneath him. After the last drop
of cum left his quickly deflating cock, Derrick resumed making love to
Jayson's ass.

It wasn't long after when he felt his orgasm approaching. It started deep
within his balls, which were slapping against Jayson's cheeks. Its been a
whiles since he had fucked Jayson doggy-style and he was loving it.

Derrick could only moan as his body was overcome with pleasure and his cock
erupted inside Jayson. The intensity of his orgasm took his breath away and
when his cock was finished depositing his love juice, he collapsed unto
Jayson's back, breathing heavily.

"Thanks you Derrick," Jayson said after a while.

"No thanks necessary my love," Derrick responded. "I love you more today
than when we first met."

Derrick rolled off of Jayson and unto his back. Jayson moved over to
cuddle up beside him. As he did, he felt Derrick's cum starting to leak
from his tender hole. Jayson kissed Derrick briefly and then got up and
hurried to the bathroom.

"Boy, that was a huge load," Jayson smiled as he returned from the
bathroom.

"I've missed you baby," Derrick smiled back as he embraced Jayson who had
climbed into the bed beside him.

The two of them enjoyed each other's company, basking in the afterglow of
the morning for nearly an hour. Then Jayson remembered his doctor's
appointment and told Derrick there was something he had to do.

Without supplying much in the form of details, Jayson showered and got
dressed. While he was in the bedroom, Derrick went to the bathroom to take
his morning shower. A short while later Derrick emerged drying himself off.

Jayson was ready to leave and as he headed for the door, stopped long
enough to kiss Derrick goodbye. Derrick finished dressing and as he picked
up his wallet from the bedside table, he noticed a telephone number
scribbled on a piece of paper.

He recognized the number and realized where Jayson was headed. He tried
calling Jayson on his cellular phone, but got no response. He did not leave
any messages in his voice mail either.

That morning, Derrick spent it aimlessly at work, wondering what the
doctor's appointment was all about for Jayson. He was just about to leave
for lunch when the secretary told Derrick that Jayson was on the line for
him.

He hesitated momentarily before picking up the receiver and saying hello.

"We need to talk," Jayson said sternly.

"Why, what is it?" Derrick questioned.

"I can't say over the phone," Jayson replied, "meet me at home for lunch."

And with that Jayson hung up, leaving Derrick almost nauseous with
worry. He did not want to go home for lunch, but knew that he had to. He
was deathly afraid of what Jayson was going to say to him.

All the way home, Derrick was rehearsing how he would respond to the bad
news Jayson had to deliver. When he arrived, Jayson was already home and
waiting for him. When he opened the door, Jayson just came up to him and
kissed him. But he did not immediately break away from the embrace,
sending more fear through Derrick's mind.

"I love you, Derrick," Jayson said, still holding on to Derrick.

I love you too baby," Derrick replied, "but you're scaring me. What's
going on?"

Jayson let go of Derrick, took him by the hand and led him to the dinner
table. As they sat down, Jayson produced a small envelope and the address
in the upper left hand corner confirmed what he suspected. It was from the
doctor.

Without opening it, Jayson placed the envelope in Derrick's hand, and then
kissed his hand.

"I love you," was all Jayson said and sat back, waiting for Derrick to open
the envelope.

Derrick paused briefly before reaching for the envelope. His hands were
almost trembling as he lifted the tab and extracted the piece of blue paper
that was inside. He paused again before unfolding the document.

His eyes lighted up when he read what was written on it and looked up in
surprise at Jayson. A wide grin overtook his face and tears burst into his
eyes. Derrick could not hold back. He broke down crying almost
uncontrollably.

Jayson got up and came over to his side and just put his arms around him.

After a while, Jayson spoke softly.

"I'll take that as a yes," Jayson said smiling.

Through tear dimmed eyes Derrick managed a smile as he replied yes. Jayson
had asked Derrick to marry him and Derrick just accepted.

"But what about your doctor's appointment?" Derrick queried.

"I'm fine," Jayson, said, "the results came back negative. I'm not
infected with HIV."

Again Derrick broke down crying. But these were tears of joy and happiness.

"I'll take a follow up test later to be sure," Jayson said, "but the doctor
said everything is all right."

"I'm so happy for you Jayson," Derrick said, as he hugged Jayson and kissed
him deeply.

It did not immediately hit him that if Jayson was not infected; that there
is a good chance that he himself was also negative. The joy of finding out
that the guy he loves was going to be all right was more that he could
bear.

When it was time to go back to work, Derrick still had tears in his eyes,
but as he left the house, there was an extra bounce in his step. All his
fears have turned to happiness and he was eagerly anticipating the evening,
when together he and Jayson would celebrate their decision to become
life-long mates.

But before he would get home, an ugly presence from the pass would cross
his path. Would it be enough to dampen his spirits? You'll have to check
back for the next instalment of "Rendezvous with Jayson" to find out.
