AUCTIONED PART V

Nick snuggled closer to the warm body behind him. The strong arm
that wrapped around his waist pulled him closer and warm lips showered
light kisses along his neck. He sighed contentedly and turned his head
around to meet those lips. The arm that held him gently nudged him onto
his back and lovingly caressed his body as its owner's tongue aggressively
worked its way into Nick's mouth and proceeded with an exhilarating mating
ritual with Nick's own tongue.

The hand that played over Nick's skin finally settled on one
direction and made its way over his abdomen and beyond... Nick
instinctively, and most eagerly, spread his legs apart and gasped
delightfully into the other's mouth as the strong hand firmly encircled his
achingly hard penis.

The lips finally released him and continued along Nick's jaw and
throat. His own mouth felt bruised and tingled, but his brain was too
occupied with the pleasurable signals that it was bombarded with to neither
bother with nor care.

Nick moaned. The hand that had been stroking his hard shaft had
now cupped his balls and gently massaged them as one lone finger peered out
and rubbed along the sensitive tissue that was located right in front of
his anus. The blond arched his back and dug his fingers into the muscles
of his lover's back in distress.

	"Alik...," he moaned. "Please, Alik..."

"Nick...," the other sighed. "Nick... Nick..."

>>>

	"Nick!"

Nick jerked up and looked around him in confusion. He was
unfamiliar with his surroundings. His eyes rested on a dishevelled, tired
and concerned looking Alik. It took him a mere split second to dawn on him
what had happened and he blushed.

Alik tilted his head, looking into his eyes, worry written on his
face. "Nick, are you alright? You were calling my name."

"I... I'm fine. I... I guess I was calling you out in my dream."
Nick turned his head away; he could feel himself blushing even harder. He
chanced a peek over at Alik to see what his reaction would be and thought
he saw a glint of satisfaction pass over those amber eyes. He blinked his
eyes to make sure but whatever it was, it was gone and those eyes focused
in on him. Nick blinked again, but this time to look away.

"Nikkos." Nick hesitantly looked up at the softly spoken word.
Alik wore a gentle smile on his face. He reached out with his hand and
drew his fingers across his forehead and down along his cheek. Nick closed
his eyes and felt his body relax at the touch.

"Please come home with me." He opened up his eyes again at the
solemn request. Nick regarded Alik as he thought it over. The Greek
looked back at him, expressionless. Nick wasn't sure of how to interpret
that and seriously thought about refusing the request. As time passed and
the two men silently regarded each other, Nick suddenly saw a light of
desperation in the eyes of the powerful man before him. All hope was not
lost! Nick smiled and nodded his head at last.

It was like the dark clouds have parted and the sunlight was
finally permitted to pass through. Alik's face shone with a brilliance
Nick has never seen before, but yet seemed so hauntingly familiar. Alik
leaned over to embrace him and gave him a kiss on the forehead. "My
Nikkos, I am so happy you have decided to come home with me. I promise
that you would not regret it."

Nick gave himself totally into that embrace and knew deep in his
heart that this is where he wants to really belong. His heart swelled and
he suddenly knew that he has fallen in love with Alik. It was such an
incredible revelation for him... but he somehow felt depressed at the
thought. He pulled back and looked at Alik. It seemed impossible, but the
Greek was even more good-looking and handsome when he smiled. And the
smile was so carefree and innocently oblivious to Nick's feelings for him.
The Canadian grinned up at him, as his heart ached for he knew the reason
behind his sadness.

>>>

Alik looked down at Nick and saw the trust that was openly
displayed within those emerald coloured eyes. Right then, he vowed to do
everything within his power to keep Nick happy and content. He only wished
that he knew what that was.

They got up to dress and made their way downstairs. Kassel and
Omar were already seated in the parlour, engaged in what looked like to be
an intimate conversation. The two looked up when they heard them walk in.
Kassel grinned up at them and stood up. "I take it that you slept well
last night?"

"Well enough. Thank you for putting up with us, Kassel," Alik
said. "But now we must go. Perhaps one night you may do us the favour by
having dinner with us?"

"That can be easily arranged." Kassel walked the two men to the
door and bid them farewell.

Hand placed against the small of his back, Alik led Nick towards
the sporty black coupe that was parked on the long driveway. He walked
them over to the passenger side and opened up the door for Nick. The blond
grinned at him sheepishly before stepping in.

"Usually I'm the one who opens the door for the... um... girl,"
Nick lamely finished as Alik seated himself.

Alik looked over at Nick, who was staring straight ahead through
the windshield. He reached over and hooked a finger underneath Nick's chin
and turned his head so that he was facing him. "Nikkos," he softly said, "
never ever do I mean to imply that you are a girl. You are a very handsome
and strong masculine. I never meant to insult you if I have."

Nick blushed. "N..No, no Alik. I'm not insulted at all," he
stammered. "It was just a weird thought that came to mind, that's all."

Alik considered this for awhile before finally letting go and
ignited the sports car. The engine purred at his touch and he smoothly put
the car into gear and pulled out of the driveway and onto the long stretch
of road that lay before them. The car responded to Alik's every manoeuvre
and effortlessly hugged the tight curves despite the high speed it was
outputting. The shocks absorbed every bump and crack on the road, making
for a smooth and peaceful ride.

And peaceful it was. The two men made no conversation, but instead
they sat in a companionable silence, merely enjoying the other's presence.
Soon enough, Alik pulled the car into the driveway of his own home. He
smiled, amused, as he watched Nick quickly open up his own door. Together
they walked towards the entrance as Alik thought about the work he needed
to get done.

"What the hell happened here?" Alik looked up and saw Nick
examining the large crack that was on the doorframe.

"I might have lost my temper somewhat yesterday." Alik shrugged.

Nick looked up and raised an eyebrow at him. "MIGHT have?"

Alik scowled at him and continued into the house. "I'll just call
someone in to have it all fixed up."

"Why? I'll just work on it myself." Alik turned around and
thought this over. Nick frowned. "What? It's not like I don't do this
for a living back home. Besides, it'll give me something to do while
you're busy pushing papers around."

"Very well, but I don't want to come back to find you hurt or
something. And for your information I absolutely do NOT push papers
around."

"Hurt? What am I now?? A five-year old kid?" Nick tried to act
indignant. Alik thought he was so cute and couldn't help but to bring him
into a light embrace. He gave Nick a quick kiss on the nose.

Nick laughed. "Okay, now I'm really convinced that you think I'm a
five-year old kid."

"Oh really?" Nick stopped laughing and swallowed hard as he saw
the challenge in those amber eyes. The embrace tightened and he could feel
the heat radiating off of the larger man. Hypnotised, he couldn't move as
he saw Alik leaning in closer.

Alik kissed him, and kissed him hard. It was all at once urgent
and passionate. He pushed Nick up against a wall and deepened the kiss
even more. His hands freely roamed the other's body and he could hear the
soft whimpers, the gentle moans emitting from Nick. Alik took one of
Nick's hands and placed it over his own aching cock. It demanded attention
as it pulsed urgently into the touch. Alik broke away from the kiss and
breathed hard against Nick's cheek.

"Nikkos, see what you do to my body? I would be seriously
concerned if this is the reaction I get as a result of a five-year old."
He suddenly gasped as Nick wrapped his hand firmly around his arousal.
Groaning, he retrieved his mouth and engulfed Nick into another hard kiss.
Hands roamed all over as the two tried to bring the other one closer and
various levels of sighs and moans could be heard throughout the foyer. "My
Nikkos, you do not know how desperate I am right now to rip your clothes
off and to make mad love to you right here, right now with the door wide
open for the whole world to see."

Nick yearned to make that thought into a reality, but instead he
reluctantly pulled away. Alik looked at him, confused. "Nikkos?"

"We still have a lot of unsolved issues we need to work out." Nick
frowned to himself; was that HIM saying that? His throat constricted as he
saw Alik pull back and the passion that was in those eyes before
immediately froze up into amber ice. Gone were any expression from that
handsome face and a cold, calculated Alik now stood before him. Nick
blink, it was literally a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde transformation. "Alik?"
he asked tentatively.

"You're right. We shouldn't do anything that we would both regret
until we know where this relationship is going. I will be leaving now; I
have a lot of work I needed to catch up on since I was rather... occupied
yesterday." He turned on his heel to leave. "I will see you tonight,
Nick," he added over his shoulder as he left the room.

Nick concentrated on his breathing as he waited for his heart to
stop beating so hard. He hurt. He hurt so much. The man that he loves
has just walked out on him. Forlornly, he walked up the stairs and into
the room that he shared with Alik. He stood in the middle of the room and
stared around helplessly. Out of the corner of his eye he saw a wrinkled
up looking piece of scrap sitting on the dresser. Nick picked it up and
saw that it was the airline ticket back to Vancouver. The dye from the
printing has run but the inscriptions were still legible.

Det must have picked it up and left it here. Nick considered his
options as he thoughtfully fingered the ticket stub between his fingers.
Perhaps he should just leave this place and resume life in Vancouver. It
was obvious that he annoyed the hell out of Alik and he seemed to be
nothing but a source of nuisance. A tear escaped and flowed down the side
of his face. Nick let it fall; it seemed that the only thing he was good
for around here was to provide a source of sex, and if he's not giving it
out then Alik is not finding him to be of any use. No wonder he was so
eager to leave the room, he thought bitterly, he probably needed to find
another source of outlet for his frustrations.

So why did he stay? He stared hard at the ticket stub as if the
answer was hidden amongst the blurry writing. Nick sighed; it was because
he was in love with Alik. It was silly of him to even consider going back
to Vancouver and live life as it was before... how can he even imagine life
without Alik? No, he would stay here. Even if it meant that everyday he
would have to face the fact that Alik did not return his love, at least he
would get some slice of happiness by being with him. And all he needed to
do was to keep him pleased in bed so that the Greek would not get tired of
him. Determined with his decision, Nick took the ticket in both hands and
neatly ripped it down the middle, and let the two pieces fall to the
ground. He knew that there was no turning back now.

>>>

Alik threaded his way through the thick traffic. The sporty coupe
gave no complaints, but instead responded eagerly to the aggressive
driving. He laid on the horn and muttered profanities as a Mercedes cut
him off while instantly slowing down. He gritted his teeth and geared down
for more power as he switched over to the next lane, overtook the offending
car and swiftly inserted himself back into his original lane. He smirked
to himself as he looked into his rear-view mirror to find that the Mercedes
now kept quite some distance between them.

He was frustrated. He mentally kicked himself for letting what
almost happened earlier at the house. Here he was telling himself that he
going to give Nick some space and not make a move on him and what does he
do instead?? He goes and nearly attacks the Canadian, coming so close to
raping the other man. Theos, he muttered, how did he ever let himself
loose his self control like that?

Somewhat lost in his thoughts, he briefly glanced up and to his
horror he saw a flash of red. He slammed both of his feet into the brake
pedal and tightened his grip around the steering wheel. Alik felt the
vibration at his feet as the ABS kicked in and the car came to a screeching
halt just about a mere foot away from the horrified pedestrians that froze
in place at the crosswalk. He stared, wide-eyed, and let out a long breath
of air. Alik watched as the people in front of him finally gathered their
wits and scampered away.

What was happening to him? Why was he losing so much of his
control all of the sudden? Then it came to him. Nick. He could not seem
to be able to think clearly simply because the Canadian occupied his every
thought. Is this what love is? he wondered. To think about the other
person day in and day out, to want to be in the other's presence for every
moment was to be cherished, to want to spend forever with them...

Alik pulled the sports car to the side and parked it, letting the
engine run idle. He leaned back into the headpiece and rested his hands on
the bottom of the steering wheel. Was he now truly in love with Nick? He
surprised himself by smiling, as he knew that he could no long deny the
true answer. He basked in this new-found feeling of delight when his
mobile rang.

>>>

"Terzakis," he answered, somewhat annoyed with the disruption.

"Master, I'm sorry to call you but I think you should come home
now." A female voice spewed Arabic into his ear.

"Det? Calm down Det. What's going on at home?" He stiffened, had
something happened to Nick?

"Your white-haired man... he is tearing up the front door!"

Alik laughed with relief. "Is that all? I told him that he could.
I cracked it by accident last night."

"Is that right? Well, I still think you should come home, Sir."
Det did not sound convinced.

"Don't worry, Det. I trust Nick to not do anything stupid."

"No, it's not that, Master. I'm afraid that he's got quite the
collection of admirers right outside our door. All are eager to help him.
I've tried to urge them away, but they don't listen because their brains
are too busy ogling."

"A collection of... what?? I'm coming home." He abruptantly
disconnected the call and pulled his car back into traffic. At the next
available light he pulled a 180 and sped home.

He felt his temper rise as he came to a halt in his driveway and
saw the small collection of men that hovered around the front door. In the
middle of it all was Nick. He stood up against the coupe and surveyed this
scene. Nick wore only a pair of shorts, which was reasonable considering
the intense heat. To his credit, Nick had also found another bandanna and
wore that over his hair. But, looking at him from a distance, Alik could
see that it did very little to hide the true nature of his hair. Nick's
eyebrows glistened like gold under the sunlight and the hair under his arms
were too light to go unnoticed every time he lifted up his arms to take a
measurement or such.

Alik saw that Nick had already put in a new frame. All it needed
was a coat of paint, or varnish, or whatever the hell it was that you put
on it. He grimaced, as he knew that carpentry was definitely not his
forte. Alik crossed his arms over his chest and watched coolly from behind
his sunglasses. Men that were supposedly happily married or equivalent to
such were amongst the crowd.

He watched the way Nick handled himself. To his pleasure, he saw
that the blond regarded the crowd around him with annoyance and ignored
their flirtatious advances. Alik narrowed his eyes as he watched one bold
fellow encircle Nick around the waist and brushed his hands over the flat
abdomen. Alik growled but stays put as he watches how Nick handles the
situation.

The blond snapped at the other man and fiercely shoved him up
against the newly installed doorframe. This took the offender by surprise,
but the feeling was brief for he grinned at Nick and placed his hands over
Nick's. Disgusted, Nick pulled his hand away, but the other man held on
firmly. The offender wasn't necessarily larger than Nick, but he was very
heavy-set and with some effort he had managed to wrestle Nick against the
other side of the doorframe and locked him into a tight embrace.

Alik stiffened and made his way towards the crowd, who were now
cheering and encouraging the offender. As if they could sense his rage,
the crowd quietens down as they see Alik approaching and they parted for
him like the Red Sea. Oblivious to what was going on, the fat neighbour
continued to vie for a kiss from the struggling Nick.

>>>

"Mir, how are the wife and kids?" asked a cold voice.

Mir froze at what he was doing and released the beauty that was in
his arms. He turned around and to his dismay, he saw Alik standing right
behind him. The formidable man had his arms crossed in front of his chest,
making him look ever so more intimidating. The hard mouth was set in a
grim line and he saw his own nervous image reflecting back to him from the
black lenses of Alik's sunglasses.

"A..Alik," he stammered. He could feel the sweat poring down his
face. He took out a small handkerchief and nervously wiped it away.

"What do you think you are doing?" Alik growls softly.

Mir laughs nervously. "A..Alik, w..we were just p..playing around.
N..no harm done, r..right?" The Greek said nothing but just continued to
stare down at him. Mir shifted his feet and continued to wipe away at his
face. He hesitantly clears his throat, afraid of further irritating his
powerful neighbour in any way. To his utter amazement, Alik smiled down at
him. He smiled back, unsure. There was something disturbing about the way
the Greek smiled; it was the way a cat smiles down at a mouse.

"You're right, Mir. No harm done. We'll just pretend that this
never happened."

"W..Why, Alik... that was just what I was thinking." Mir continues
to laugh nervously.

Alik looked at him, bored. "You may go now," he dismissed.
Relieved, Mir turned away and followed after the disassembling crowd. "Oh,
and Mir?" He halted and quickly turned around. The Greek's attention was
no longer on him, but was on his companion. His expression has softened as
he reached out to take the scrap of material away from his companion's
head. Mir gasped at amazing colour that he saw hidden beneath.

But the voice that continued to speak to him was still cold. "If I
should ever catch your face around here ever again, I will personally make
sure that your wife knows what a pathetic loser her husband is and make it
my prime operative to ensure that she sees you for the fat, lazy,
unfaithful opportunist that you are." A pair of hard amber eyes slowly
focussed in on him. "Am I to be understood?"

Mir opened his eyes in horror. "P..Perfectly clear."

"Good," Alik smiled icily. He instantly softened up again as he
turned his attention back to the blond and placed a gentle kiss into the
soft hair. For some reason, Mir still stood where he was. Alik noticed
this and threw a snarl at him. "Why in Ra's name am I still looking at
your face?"

The obese Egyptian fumbled where he was and quickly high-tailed his
way back to his own residence. He rushed through the doors and slammed
them shut. Instinctively, he took out his rag and began to wipe away at
his face again. His breathing was short and shallow at the unexpected
exercise his body received. His wife walked into the room at the loud
noise. She looked concerned.

"Mir? Is everything okay? You look like you have seen a ghost."

Mir shuddered and hustled into the other room with her. "No, my
dear wife. Not a ghost. Nothing to worry about." He gave her a quick
peck on the cheek and sent her away. Shrugging, she gave him a pat on his
own soft face and walked off. Mir tried to picture her with lovely blonde
hair, and sighed to himself, feeling very unsatisfied with the poor image.

>>>

"Nikkos, are you alright?" Alik asked in concern. "If he hurt you
in any way let me know, I will not think twice to destroy him." Nick
marvelled at the look of furor on his face. Nick smoothed his thumb over
the other's face and saw it calm down considerably.

"My white knight in shining armour," he murmurs.

Nick sees Alik blush! He did a double take and to his amazement,
he did detect a slight hint of redness on those high cheekbones. Then Alik
turns away, annoyed with by his exposed vulnerability. "Is it a crime to
be upset when I see a filthy beast pawing over someone I care about?"

Nick holds his breath. "You care about me?" His heart stopped
beating, waiting for an answer.

Alik looks at him, confused. "Of course I care about you, Nikkos.
I've grown to really like you and consider you to be someone very important
in my life."

Nick releases his breath and tries to hide his disappointment.

	...LIKE you...

"Well, anyway, I'm almost finished with this frame." Nick swiftly
changes the topic. "It wasn't too hard to fix up. All it needs now is
just a coat of finish and it'll be as good as new."

Alik doesn't say anything but quietly stares at him. Nick realises
that he was babbling and eventually shuts up. Under the thoughtful gaze he
feels exposed and shifts his eyes, afraid that Alik might be able to read
into his disappointment.

"Um... so I'm going to go start on the finish," he lamely adds.

Alik frowns slightly. "Nikkos, is there something else you wanted
to tell me?"

"No." Nick thought that his heart was pounding so hard against his
chest that surely Alik must have been able to hear it. "What makes you
think that?"

The Greek considered this and shrugs. "Never mind then. I am
actually going to finish my work here at home. I will see you at dinner
time, yes?" Nick nodded and watched as the other man stride away.

Nick muttered to himself as soon as Alik was out of earshot. Like?
LIKE?? I like my friends," he mumbled. "I like blue, and I like Chinese
food. I particularly would like to strangle a particular Greek's neck."
Nick attacked the framework with a sander. "Just wait till I'm through
with him tonight."
