NORTH PHILLY


	35 year old undercover police detective Maleece Cortez [aka: ROC]
stood on the corner as a drug dealer, selling drugs to passerby's [who were
all (mostly) plain clothed officers making fake drug buys to boost Mal's

he'd spotted Javier Sanchez pickup truck parked several cars down from
where he worked the corner [spying]! The problem was, Maleece didn't know

close to his brother Caesar], or if Caesar had put him up to it...? Maleece
hoped it wasn't the latter, because that meant Caesar didn't trust him yet,
and Mal was banking on Caesar to accept him as one of his men!
	Maleece did his street time [6 to 8 hrs or so], then reported his
`haul' to Caesar's men at the Chop-Shop! Members [not yet warmed up to

"Good haul..." said one of Caesar's men [Carlito], sitting behind a fold up
table with stacks of drug cash in front of him from different dealer's

[like most of the other men in Caesar's camp]! "...just changed addresses,

	Maleece wondered what the problem was...?


"Am I supposed to be responsible for how lousy your other dealers are...?"

	Carlito handed Mal his cut of the haul, as Mal stuffed the money in
his pocket without bothering to count it, then turned and walked out the
garage! He knew as the `new guy' he'd have to spend time proving himself to
the others, despite Caesar's endorsement!
	He saw Javier's sky-blue truck parked down the street when he
walked out, and got in his car and began heading for home! Looking in his
rearview, he noticed Javier still tailing, so he pulled out his cell phone
and called his partner...!


"Nick..." he said, as soon as detective Hightower answered his personal
cell phone...! "...I need you to set me up a dummy apartment, pronto! I'm
being TAILED, and I can't go home...! Is there one in West Philly...?"


"Let me check...!" said Hightower, getting on his desktop computer at
work...! "I see a couple of dummy apartments not in use...!" he informed,
giving Maleece the address and location where the key was hidden to each!
	Maleece then called his BF [Jake], and informed him that he'd be
LATE getting home, as he was being tailed by one of Caesar's men! Maleece
took the scenic route to the new address, finding a parking spot nearby
before walking up the triplex steps and finding the 2nd floor key taped to
the overhead woodwork [exactly where Hightower said it would be]! He
unlocked the door and went it, just as Javier pulled up and slowed down...!
The 30 y/o Mexican watched the building until he saw the second floor
lights cut on, indicating that THAT was where ROC lived! Someone honked the
horn behind him, so he had to circle around to find a parking spot and

up behind him...! "...maybe I could stop be...?" he questioned as an
option! "I could bring some Chinese food...and we could make love in a
strange new bed..."
	Maleece laughed...


"Actually...that sounds like a good idea..." he said, scratching the back

strange new place]...! "Maybe you can bring a 6pack too...?" he asked...!
