Dear Robert-

Thank you for writing. I'm glad you liked the story and,
don't worry, praise is always welcome. I'm not insulted by
it. Far from that. Horribly conceited author here.

I have thought about writing longer works. In fact, I have
two half-finished novels. Time, or rather my lack of time,
is the major problem in finishing these works. Both of them
are suspense/thrillers, and the lead characters in each are
gay, but they're not `gay' novels per se. The characters in
`straight' novels have sex every few chapters, of the earth
moving variety. If I ever get these two works finished, it
will be the same. Of course, it will be socially significant
sex and intrinsic to the plot or character development.
There will be absolutely no gratuitous sex in my works
[insert smirky face here].

To answer your other question, as you surmised, I have an
interest in hypnosis. I have experienced it from both sides,
as a hypnotist and as the hypnotised. These days, I use it
mostly for self-hypnosis, to help me relax or focus. I've
been doing it for so many years now that I slip into a
trance easily. I don't know what trances are like for
others, but for me, they involve a state of increased
awareness and focus. I find that often my stories develop in
my head while I am in a trance. The trance helps me block
them out and conceive the characters visually and in terms
of their personalities and interactions. Then, provided I
can find the time and the energy, I get them written down-
eventually. My `story ideas' folder is bursting at this
point with sketches for stories that I will probably never
get written.

Anyway, forgive these long-winded thanks for your note. One
of the surprising and nice things about posting the stories
online is the number of emails I've been getting in
response. Some good correspondences have developed from them
(a hint there).

                           ******
Dear Robert-

Good to hear from you again. My longer works are still very
much in development and not ready to show anyone. Thanks for
your interest in them. If I ever get them finished enough to
have others read them, I'll email you the files. I haven't
ever thought of publishing my works commercially. That's
another hassle I don't have time to deal with.

To move on to the more interesting parts of your email, it
is, as you noted, generally accepted that one cannot
hypnotise someone into doing something against their will.
I think, however, that with patience and extensive training,
one could begin to modify a subject's behaviour and
gradually bend it in the direction desired. One would have
to begin very gradually and train the person to trance
easily and to associate the trance with pleasurable things.
Only after that association had been strongly implanted in
the subject's mind should the move toward modifying
behaviour begin. But it would take months, if not years, of
effort. Brainwashing is possible-we have all been
brainwashed into our current set of beliefs. But think of
the
years that it took our parents, teachers, and society to
make us what we are. The military seems to be able to take
recruits and make at least some of them into `good
soldiers', although there, I suspect, the mindset is already
there and is simply moulded along lines the military needs.
Those who can't be moulded are pushed out or leave as soon
as they can.

So my answer to your question would be yes and no. With the
right subject, one who was susceptible to hypnosis and
docile/submissive/open to suggestion/easily led, it might be
possible to create the perfect slave. If I were looking for
a good candidate, I would choose someone who is imaginative
and becomes really engrossed in the novel he is reading or
the television show or movie he is watching. Those states
are really trances, and a person with the ability to get
lost in the plot is a good subject.

Thanks for writing again. It's an interesting question. Do

you have someone in mind for this `experiment'?

Graham

                           ******

Dear Robert-

Let me see. If I were writing that scenario up as a story
and assuming that I had found someone I thought would make a
good subject for hypnosis . . .

My fictional hypnotist would wait until his `victim' came
back from work one day and appeared to be very tired. He
would suggest a neck massage to help the person relax. He
would make comments like `Your shoulders are very tense
today' or `Wow, I can feel the tension in your neck' that
implanted the suggestions in vic's mind that he was feeling
tired and needed to relax. Then FH would suggest that
perhaps a visualisation technique would help vic relax. I
would use my favourite-lying on a warm sand beach with the
warm sun, a mild breeze, the sound of the waves in the
background, just relaxing one's body. Then I would take the
vic gradually into a trance.

Something along the lines of `I've read that visualisations
can help you relax. Let's give it a go. All you have to do
is listen to me as I present several images to you. Just let
the images fill your mind. Just dream about the images as I
speak. You are on a tropical island, lying in the sun on the
white sand. The sun is so warm and you feel so comfortable,
so relaxed, so warm and comfortable. The sun penetrates your
body and relaxes your muscles. You feel so good. The sun is
so warm and you feel so good. A gentle breeze blows across
your body. It is just the right temperature. In the
distance, there is the sound of waves gently washing up on
the shore. So quiet, so peaceful, so content. You feel so
good.' (This is just a summary of the scenario, mind; the
actual induction would have to be much longer and much more
detailed.)

The first time the only suggestion I would implant is that
the vic feels so very good to be so very relaxed. Just a
strong association between the feeling of being so relaxed
(don't use the word `trance' or anything that suggests
hypnosis) and feeling so good. Then I would tell the vic
drift off to sleep and that when he awakens, he will feel
very very good and would like to visit the beach again with
me. That would be all that I would do the first time.

If the vic asked for further `massages', I would simply

repeat variations of this technique until he began to trance

readily. If he appeared to be developing into a good

subject, I would implant a shortcut to take him into trance

more quickly and then begin programming him, always

carefully associating what is happening to him with

pleasure. Seduce vic into the proper frame of mind with

physical pleasures and mental wellbeing, peace, security,

warmth, contentment. The goal would be to have daily

sessions within a couple of months. Once the vic reached

that stage, then I think it would be possible to move ahead

more swiftly, but always being careful to work in small

increments of increasing control.

Of course, this is all just speculation.

Dear Robert-

Good to hear from you again. A few days ago my email service
sent me a message that I was over quota and needed to purge
some of the messages. I was going through the list and ran
across your earlier messages. Needless to say, your messages
were not among those I deleted. As you saw, your messages
served as the inspiration for my latest tale. Thanks for
your comments on it. That kind of feedback is very helpful
and always welcome. You read the story very closely indeed!
And no, I'm no further along with my longer works than I was
the last time we corresponded. I just can't find the time to
work on them.

Your report on your successes with Vic is fascinating. It's
highly unethical, of course, and you are quite naughty to be
doing this to Vic, but still I find the account quite
titillating. Tell me more. Please!!

Graham

                           *******
Dear Robert-

The indoctrination scenario you propose is quite intriguing.
I'm flattered that the idea for it came from some of my
stories.

I've read over your script. It's quite good. My only advice
would be to avoid suggesting the behaviour you wish to
eliminate. Saying something like `you cannot resist X' or
`all tension is draining out of your body' introduces the
ideas that resistance is possible or that tension exists.
Better to emphasize the behaviour you're trying to induce:
`You feel so very very good when you just listen to my voice
and do what I am telling you to do' or `Your entire body is
relaxing. You feel so wonderful.'

Does Vic already have a liking for underwear or is that just

something you hit upon for the next stage of his training?

Graham

                           ******

Dear Robert-

Thanks for sending the file you recorded. I didn't know it
was possible to email such files. Thanks for the
introduction to this technology. As you guessed, I am a
duffer with electronics. I followed your instructions and
transferred the file to a CD. I listened to it last night,
but I was so tired that I fell asleep during it. I will
listen to it again and then give you feedback on it. You
have a great voice, by the way. It is very relaxing to
listen to you. I am afraid that I was so lulled by it that I
just let go. I may even have gone into a trance.

I followed the link you sent to that underwear site. Thanks

for introducing me to this too. There are some great

pictures there. The style you choose for Vic is quite sexy.

I hope he enjoys what you have planned for him.

                           ******

Dear Robert-

I have been listening to the file you sent a lot. It is
quite wonderfully relaxing. Thanks again for sharing this
with me.

I was clothes shopping today (something I usually avoid, but

I couldn't put it off any longer). I saw the underwear you

bought for Vic and bought a couple of packages for myself.

Will try it tomorrow.

Graham

                           ******

Dear Robert-

I see why you chose that underwear. It is incredibly
comfortable. I hadn't heard of these microfibre fabrics
before. Plus the way it is cut makes it quite snug around
the balls and cock. It seems to caress my body when I move.
I didn't know underwear could be quite this much fun to
wear.

The attached file is my latest story. The hardworking Nifty

Archivist assures me that it will appear shortly.

Dear Robert-

Thanks again for sending the next file in the series you
prepared for Vic. I'll listen to it tonight as you
suggested.

And thanks for your comments on the new story. Your approval
means a lot to me. And I have been thinking about finishing
the longer works. The attached file is the one that is most
complete at this point. This represents about half of what
would be the complete version (should I ever finish). I look
forward to your comments on it, if any. The paragraphs at
the end summarize the rest of the story.

Dear Robert-

My god. That was wonderful. I listened to the new file last
night, and this morning when I put on the underwear, the
sensation was incredible. It took me totally by surprise. I
wasn't aware that anything was about to happen. I just put
the briefs on and took a step and then suddenly found myself
on the floor being ravished by them. It was as if I were
being touch by a dozen hands-and what hands!!! That was an
experience. I'm almost afraid to put the briefs on again
(but I probably shall). Thank you for allowing me to share
in your training of Vic. He is one lucky man to have you
programming him.

Graham

                           ******
Dear Robert-

I was completely taken aback by your praise of the `novel',
and it's kind of you even to refer to Unstable Equilibrium
by that title. By all means, if you think it is ready to
show to your agent friend, then do so. I will trust your
judgement on this.

And yes, if you don't mind, I would like the next file in
your Vic-training series. I probably shouldn't indulge, but
I haven't felt as much pleasure in years as I get from
putting on the underwear. It's all I can do to keep from
exploding. I barely got them off in time today.

Graham

PS: I've never mentioned anything about myself, but I
couldn't publish anything under my own name. I would lose my
position if it became known that I write gay fiction. So a
pseudonym would be necessary. Hope you understand.

                           ******
Dear Robert-

Thank for sending the video of Vic's `performance'. I

wouldn't have believed that if you had simply told me about

it. His body is so completely immobile except for his cock

that when the ejaculate shoots through the underwear, it

comes (pun intended) as a complete shock. The way you

photographed it, it was almost like getting hit in the face

with it. That degree of control is so erotic.

Graham

                           ******

Dear Robert-

Thank you so much for this weekend. It was great to meet you
at last and have a chance to talk with you in person. Of
course, the high point was being taken into trance by you
and putting on the underwear and re-enacting the scenario
with Vic. That was simply the best orgasm I've ever had in
my life, and amazingly it was totally hands-free. I think
being so much under your control only enhanced the pleasure
you gave me. Thank you again. Any time you want to visit or
even to phone, I will make myself available to you.

Thanks also for the encouragement about Unstable
Equilibrium.
After you left on Sunday, I opened the files again and
reread it. Your comments are bang on. I took today off and
spent it revising the portions you pointed out were
problematic. I'm looking forward to finishing it off now.
I've two weeks' vacation at the start of next month. I
should be able at least to rough out most of the remainder
of the work during that time. After our discussions, the
plot is very clear in my mind.

The pen-name you suggested is wonderful. Vic Dancer sounds
both real and promising at the same time. I hope the
paperwork I signed while you were here clears the way for
you to act as my agent in this. I can't thank you enough for
all that you are doing for me.

And now I have a file to listen to (insert very evil grin

here).

Graham

                           ******

Dear Robert-

I hadn't realised that I had given you the files for the
second novel as well. Yes, Albatross is very different. I
don't like sequels and chain novels. They are such a lazy
way of doing things. Each time Kinsey Millhone reaches into
the back seat of her VW and pulls out the black dress and
shakes the wrinkles out of it, I cringe. Every novel has the
same page in it about that dress. The series is almost
through the alphabet by now and Kinsey still hasn't found
time to buy new clothes. Even I am better about shopping
than that.

I'm looking forward to treating myself with the latest file

for Vic. I will follow the instructions you sent with it to

the letter. I found the underwear your instructions say to

use with this file, but I don't think it will cover much of

me, especially in the rear.

Graham

                           ******

Dear Robert-

I see your point about the sequels. I hadn't thought about
that before. If I am to become a professional writer, I will
have to start thinking along those lines. I am so grateful
to you for helping me with this. I have written three more
chapters, which are attached for your comments.

The new file is just great. These orgasms are overwhelming

in their intensity. I never knew sex could be so good. I am

becoming addicted to these files.

Graham

                           ******

Dear Robert-

Well, here it is, the complete work finished, finally I can
write "the end" on the last page of Unstable Equilibrium.
Thanks for being so patient and listening to all my concerns
about this. I feel that it is as much your work now as mine.
Now, I am going to celebrate with the latest file and the
new
pair of underwear.

Graham

                           ******

Dear Robert-

Thanks for letting me share in the celebration of the sales
of the movie rights to your novel. The experience was
incredible, as always. It was very generous of you to
remember me. I have almost finished the Albatross now. I
won't disappoint you and will keep to the schedule you have
set. It is so rewarding to be allowed to help you with your
work. The house sale is moving along, and I have disposed of
most of my belongings in preparation for the move to the
cottage in your garden. The bank will transfer the funds to
the account you set up. I will call before I leave to let
you know I am on the way.

The attached file is the outline for the third book, the
sequel to Unstable Equilibrium. Is this what your agent
needs? I've never done one of these before, and I'm not
sure. Let me know and I'll make whatever changes you
require.

Congratulations again on the sale of the rights and on being
on the best-seller list for so many weeks. Every Sunday I
get a thrill when I see your name and Unstable Equilibrium
at the head of the list. I couldn't be happier or prouder if
I were the author myself.

Graham
