The Life of a Human K-9

Chapter 2

His Owner takes the leash and leads him thru the house and out into the
garage, he is lead around to the back passenger's door and the door is
open.

He hears his Owners deep voice "Get in", He is reluctant but knows he needs
to obey his Owner. He climbs in the back seat from his K-9 all four stance
to sitting as a human. As he knows his Master is about safety. Owner locks
him into place with the seat belt, unhooks the leash and puts a rubber bone
in his mouth. K-9, knows full well that means he is not speak or whine
during the ride.

Owner gets into the car push the button to open the garage door and he
starts the car. As the door comes to a stop K-9 feels the care start to
move, and they are on their way to the Vet.

During the ride K-9 is looking out the window and watches the world go by,
watching all the other Dogs in the yards playing, sleeping, even chasing a
cat or squirrel. Wishing it was him playing outside right now.

K-9 feels the car stop he look out front and they are at a stop light. He
looks out of the window of the driver side and sees another dog with his

About an hour into the drive and way out of the suburbs, He is watching the
scenery of the country side roll by. And he is starting to worry about
where his Owner is taking him. This is not the way to the normal vet he has

knows he is in good hands but where are they going.

During all this worrying, K-9 feels the car slowing and down and he looks
out his window and sees a big farm and lots of animal from horses and cow.

K-9 feels the care turn right, onto a gravel drive. As they drive up the
long drive-way and around to the back of the house. He sees a big red barn
and other cars and trucks parked along the front.

As K-9 is looking around to get an idea of his surroundings, he sees
another Human K-9 being lead out of the main door with a cone around his
neck just behind his ears. It looks way to big for him and he can tell his

The car comes to a stop; "I will be right back" his Owner tells him and
gets out of the car. He has left the car running so the air can stay on so

K-9 hears the Doctor walk over to the wall and he hears a click and then",
John, how many appointments, do I have left this afternoon"

K-9 hears a young man reply, "Just one sir, Mr. Hammond"

"Good, tell Mr. Hammond that I had issue come up and I need to attend to,
see if he can come back tomorrow morning and I want you to come back to
room 9" K-9 heard the Doctor tell the young man on the other end of the
intercom.

It has been about 5 minutes, of just the Doctor and owner talking and K-9
has been in an all four stance the whole time. He looks over at this Owner
and he gives a pleading look, he then hears Owner give the command' "sit".
K-9 leans back in a sitting position and takes this time to check out the
room completely. He sees it looks like a regular doctor office but the

There is a knock on the door and the Doctor says, "Come in".

In walks the same young man that showed them to this room when they first
got here.

every day when Owner is at work. He eats healthy and his Owner gives him a
bath every day. So you can see the glow of his skin and how smooth it must
