Warning:

This story is fiction - all names were made up. So if there is anyone out
there with these names, I don't know them. If you do not like the idea of
male relationships, then please do not read any further.

This is my first story, so please let me know how you think I'm doing. I
have been reading the stories on Nifty for about three years, and decided
that I wanted to give it a try as a Nifty writer. I would like to know what
you think... so send me an email, and let me know. Please add the story
title in the subject line.

I want to thank Joe for all the help he has given me throughout this
story. Without his help, I would probably still be on chapter 1. I also
want to thank Jere for taking the time to edit the story for me.

Now, get comfortable, read the story, and let me know if you enjoy it!

A Voice from The Past

Chapter 6

Tony and Andy walked into the room, just as the doctor was finishing up
with Jason.

"How is Jason doing?" Tony asked.

"He's going to be fine, though he may have a headache for a couple of
days," Dr. Greene said.

"Well, I'm glad it's no worse." Thank you, Dr. Greene!" Tony said, as the
doctor left the room.

"What is he doing here?" Jason asked, giving Andy an evil stare.

"Jason, just listen, okay? I just found out something that you should
know. It still doesn't excuse what Andy did, but it will help you
understand more where he is coming from," Tony said, taking Jason's hand.

Tony proceeded to tell Jason the story that Andy had told him. Andy stood
in the corner, his head hanging down, not wanting to look at Jason. When
Tony had finished, Jason stood, looking at Andy, and then slowly walked
over to him, with tears in his eyes. Andy looked up just as Jason got to
him. Jason looked at him, and then grabbed him and gave him the tightest
hug he could, without hurting him.

"Andy, I'm sorry you went through that. I would like to help you if I
can. Seth, my boyfriend that passed away...when I met him, he had been
raped by his stepfather. I would go with him to get help in putting this
behind him. This place had group meetings, or you could have individual
meetings with a counselor," Jason said.

"Where is this place? I think it would be a good place for you to go," Tony
said, looking at Andy.

"It's called The Hideaway, over on 5Th Street," Jason said.

"Well, what do you think, Andy? After we talk to Melinda, we can check out
this place," Tony said.

"Tony, I don't know if I can do this," Andy said, almost whispering.

"Come on, Andy; let me talk with the doctor and see about getting out of
here today. I'll call Mom and see if she will take Steven for the day,"
Tony said.

"Okay, I'll try, but it will be so hard to tell Melinda," Andy said, with
tears in his eyes.

"Andy, we will get you through this. It will be hard, and I'm not going to
say you will get over it, but things will get better," Jason said, hugging
Andy again.

Breaking down again, while in Jason and Tony's arms, all three were now
crying for the pain that Andy had been through, and how it had messed up
his life."I want to thank both of you for helping me. I know that I have
not been the nicest person to be around, when it came to the two of you,"
Andy said, calming down a little.

"Andy, you sit here with Jason. I'm going to go talk with the doctor, and
see how soon I can get out of here," Tony said, leaving Jason and Andy
alone.

"Dr. Sullivan, I would like to talk to you about getting released," Tony
said.

"I don't see a problem with it, Tony. What's going on?" Dr. Sullivan asked.

"I'm having some family problems, and I need to help the family get over
some very troubled times. I can come back, but I really need to get out of
here today, if at all possible," Tony said.

"It would be okay to leave. You are starting to remember things, and we can
have weekly visits," Dr. Sullivan said.

"Great! Can I leave now?" Tony asked.

"Sure; I'll take care of everything," Dr. Sullivan said.

Tony took out his cell phone and called his Mom.

"Hello"

"Heather! Hey there, baby girl!" Tony said.

"AJ! How are you?" Heather asked, almost shouting.

"I'm fine, sweetheart. I'm starting to remember, and it all started with
the song that has been going on in my head," Tony said.

"The song you would sing to me?" Heather asked.

"Yes, the song I would sing to you, and I learned that it is my and Jason's
song as well," Tony said.

"That's great! When I can I see you?" Heather asked.

"Soon, but I need to help Andy with something. Is Mom there?" Tony asked.

"Sure; hold on," Heather said.

"Tony, everything okay?" Carol asked.

"Yes, Mom. Andy and I were wondering if you could take Steven for the
afternoon. I'm leaving rehab today, and we need to talk with Melinda about
some things," Tony said.

Though a bit surprised, Carol said, "Sure, Tony, I'll leave in a bit and go
get him."

"Thanks Mom," Tony said.

Tony, Jason and Andy sat and talked for over 3 hours, while waiting on
Tony's release papers. Finally, Tony signed his papers, and was ready to
leave. The guys now headed over to Andy's house to have the long awaited
talk with Melinda.

**********

"Mindy! Where are you? I'm home, and I have Tony and Jason with me," Andy
said, as he announced his arrival upon entering the house.

"I'm in the kitchen. I'll be right out," Melinda said.

"Okay," Andy said. "You guys sit down; this is going to be a long
afternoon. Can I get you something to drink or eat?" Andy asked.

"No," Tony and Jason said at the same time.

"Where have you been, Andy?" Melinda asked, coming into the room. However,
like Carol, her mother in law, she was surprised to see the guys, especially
Tony, and said, "Hi, Tony, Jason."She asked herself, `I wonder what is
going on? It's not like Andy to be associating with Tony and Jason.'

"I was with Tony. He was checking out today, so I was helping him," Andy
said.

"That's great, Tony! You started to remember?" Melinda asked.

"Yes, I have, and it's wonderful. How are you doing?" Tony asked, getting
up and kissing Melinda on her cheek.

"I'm great. What are you guys doing here? Good to see you again, Jason."
Melinda said.

"Hello, Melinda," Jason replied.

"Honey, I need to talk to you," Andy said, really getting nervous

"Andy, baby, what's going on? You are scaring me!" Melinda said, sitting
down beside Andy and taking his hand.

"I can't do this, Tony," Andy said, suddenly getting up and leaving the
room.

Melinda stood up to go after him, but Tony stopped her, and told her he
would go and see what he could do. He walked through the house, looking for
Andy. Going upstairs, he looked in Andy and Melinda's bedroom, but, not
finding him there, a thought came to him, so he went to the back yard. He
saw the trail that leads to Andy's hideaway. Walking up to the door and
looking in, he saw Andy sitting on the floor, in the corner, crying. He
quietly walked over to Andy and sat beside him.

"Andy, are you going to be okay?" Tony asked.

"I can't do this. I can't tell the woman that I love more than anything
that I was so stupid," Andy said, tears falling down his cheeks.

"Oh, Andy, you were not stupid! You were just caught off guard. I think
you really need to go in there and just talk to Melinda. I think she will
be just as hurt as you are, but I don't think she will leave you," Tony
said.

"I don't know about that, but, okay; I'll try," Andy said, standing and
pulling Tony into a hug.

As the two brothers walked back into the living room, Melinda jumped up and
tightly wrapped her arms around Andy.

"Andy, what's going on? Will you please talk to me?" Melinda said.

"Melinda, what I have to tell you is hard for me to say," Andy said, tears
in his eyes, as he looked at Tony.

"Take all the time you need, honey," Melinda said.

Andy tried to tell the story once again, but just couldn't get the words to
come out. He looked at Tony, and said, "Tony, please, will you tell her?"
Tony took over telling the story, just as Andy had told him. Melinda sat
there in shock, not believing what her Andy had gone though. By then, the
tears really started falling from everyone, as they heard the story. When
Tony finished, Melinda sat there holding Andy while he cried.

"Please don't leave me, Mindy. I love you, and don't won't to lose you. I'm
sorry I couldn't tell you before now," Andy said.

"Leave you! How could you think I would leave?" Melinda exclaimed.

"Andy; Jason and I will leave so you two can talk, okay?" Tony said.

"Thanks, Tony. You have been a big help," Andy said.

"Love ya, Bro. Melinda, you take care of him. I'll call you later," Tony
said, kissing Melinda on the cheek.

"Andy, I love you, and we will get through this. We'll talk this out before
Mom gets here with Steven," Melinda said.

Melinda and Andy spend the next few hours talking, while Tony and Jason
arrived at their place to have a little discussion of their own, as well.

"Jason, I'm so glad to be out of rehab. Maybe now I can get things back in
order, and get back to work soon," Tony said.

"That is great, Tony, but first I want to do something that I have wanted
to do since you came back to me," Jason said, smiling.

He took Tony's hand and led him to their bedroom. As they entered the room,
Jason took Tony into his arms and began to kiss him passionately. Tony
started kissing back, and stuck his tongue to Jason's lips, wanting to
enter his mouth. Jason parted his lips to allow Tony to enter, and lowered
Tony to the bed.
