Hello again readers! Here's chapter three in A Whole New Life. This one is
a bit longer and, sorry if it gets a bit boring, full of information about
the characters. It's not quite as juicy as the last chapter but, I promise
that it will contain lots of sex in later chapters.

Chapter 3

My alarm wakes me up at 8. I shut it off and look around my empty
room. I'm, surprisingly, wide awake. That was one of the best nights of
sleep I have gotten in a long time.

I roll out of bed and glance down at my ever present morning
wood. I tug on it a couple times and head to my suit case for some
underwear. After getting them on and making sure my dick was in a
comfortable position in them, I head to the kitchen.

I finish setting up my Keurig and get it warming up while I relieve
my bladder. I had thought ahead and packed the things that I would need in
the morning in the boxes Mike and I had brought in last night. It wasn't
much, just some bread, peanut butter, coffee and cream, and mom's homemade
strawberry jelly. This way I would be able to eat breakfast and lunch
before I went to the store to stock up the apartment. Toast with peanut
butter would have to do for breakfast today.

I take my coffee and toast to the bar and lean against it while I
eat and go through my phone. Nothing but junk email and they only thing
interesting on Facebook was a couple of pictures Kim had posted of the
kids. I finish my breakfast and go take a shower.

After stripping off my boxer briefs and getting under the hot
water, my dick is hard again. I was so horny these days. It had been
nothing but me, my hand, and my dildo since Tony and Joe six months ago.

I plant the shirtless image of Mike in my head and start
stroking. I move my left hand behind me and rub my hole with it. My back
automatically arches in preparation for the nonexistent dick to penetrate
me and I let out a guttural moan. I don't last long and soon I'm unloading
on the shower wall.

I finish my shower and wash the cum down the drain while wishing
that I could have Mike for real. I also make a mental note to find my dildo
as soon as possible.

I get my underwear back on and go get another cup of coffee. Just
as it is finished brewing, there's a knock on the door. There's only one
person that could be. I hesitate for a moment wondering if I should answer
the door in this state of dress. Fuck it. We're just guys, right? He's
straight and won't argue anyway. "Hey Mike" I say as I open the door.

"Good Morning..." His voice trails off as he notices I'm just in my
underwear. He eyes quickly travel down my body and then back up to my face.

""Is he checking my out?!! No, there's no way!!"" "You must be
eager to help me unload the pod" I say smoothly and turn to let him in.

He comes through the door. "I just figured you would be ready by
now."

He's in his sweatpants again and I glance at his bulge as he walks
by. ""Is he chubbed up a little?"" "I was just about to get dressed and
come get you" I say while closing the door. "You want some coffee?"

"Nah, I'm good. Thanks" he answers and leans up against the
bar. "Jess always goes overboard for Sunday breakfast."

"Ok. Let me get dressed and we can get started."

Two hours later we brought the last two boxes into the apartment. We
put them in my bedroom with the rest. All the furniture had been placed
against one wall in the living room for now. I figured that would make it
easier and keep the stack of boxes out of direct view until I had it all
unpacked.

Jess came into the apartment right behind us with lunch. She was
amazing! "Hey boys! I have some sandwiches and stuff for you!" she says as
she places a couple of plates on the counter. It wasn't much, just some
tuna sandwiches with grapes and carrot sticks.

"You didn't have to do that, Jess!" I say. "I feel like you're
spoiling me already!"

"It's no problem! Besides, you boys have been working hard all
morning and you don't have any food in here yet." To prove her point, she
opens the fridge. "At least you have some water in here." She pulls out the
few bottles of water and sets them on the counter. "Dig in boys!"

I look at Mike who just shrugs. "No point in arguing with her. She
likes doing this."

"Alright" I say and join them. It's a simple lunch but, it hits the
spot and beats any fast food joint I would have ended up at. "I'm going to
the store later to fix the no food problem."

"Where are you going to go?" Jess asks.

       "I don't know yet" I answer. "I haven't looked to see what's
around. I'm sure there aren't any stores that I'm used to."

"I was going to go later too, if you want to tag along." Jess
offers.

"There you go again" I say.

"Oh, stop! I'm just trying to help you out!" she snaps.

"I know! I'm sorry. I just like to figure things out on my own. I'll
go with you. Thanks." I give in. There's no sense in turning down help.

"Great!" she beams. "I'll go get ready and come back to get you."
She takes the, now empty, plates and heads back to their apartment.

"Don't let her get to you. She loves doing things for other people"
Mike says.

"You picked a good one" I say back. "She's going to make and
excellent wife and mother."

"Don't mention a child around her!" Mike blurts out. "She's been on
my about that for months now."

"You don't want kids?" I ask.

"I do! Just not yet. I want to wait until after the wedding to
start. She wants to start now."

"Ahh, ok. No sex before marriage. Got it."

He just laughs. "Oh, we have sex. Lot's of it." He stops like he has
said too much.

I just laugh at him. "Well, I guess I should finish up my list and
change." I turn to head for my bedroom.

"You have time. She's going to be a while before she's ready to
go. We can probably get this furniture in place before she gets back." Mike
says this in a way that makes me think that he doesn't want me to leave his
company yet.

"Ok" I say slowly. "I don't know where I want it all to go, though."
I sit on one of the stools that we had placed by the bar and switch into my
residential planning mode. This was my job and I loved it!

I get up and walk around the living room, stopping here and there
and picturing different layouts of the room. I really wish I could sit down
at my computer and draft it all out in CAD but, I didn't want to waste too
much of Mike's time. He threw some ideas at me and followed me around the
room while we debated what would work better.

I finally decide what I want to do and we start moving stuff
around. As we finish, Jess came back and announced that she was ready to
go. "Ok, I'll change real quickly and we'll go" I say. I quickly changed
into my favorite pair of A&F jeans and a long sleeved shirt with my
favorite hoodie. Hey, I was going out in public in this town for the first
time. I had to look good in case I met someone. "Ok, I'm ready" I say as I
head back to the living room. I stop at the counter and grab my list that I
had finished in between moving pieces of furniture. We head into the hall
and I lock up my apartment. I turn to see Mike and Jess kissing and going
in different directions; Mike goes towards their apartment while Jess heads
for the stairs. "You're not coming with us?" I call to Mike.

"No. I have a client to meet in a little bit" he answers over his
shoulder.

"Oh, ok. See you later then." I follow Jess down the stairs. She
leads me out to her car in the parking lot. "Wow! This is yours?!" I ask
her looking at the brand new Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited she was getting
into.

"Yeah. Just got it a few weeks ago. I love it!"

She unlocks the doors and we get in. The new car smell still
permeates the air. "I've been wanted to trade mine in for a Jeep" I say
while admiring the interior. "I can't afford it quite yet, though."

"They're definitely worth it" she says while adjusting the
radio. She gets us out on the road and heading into town. "Is Meijer ok?"
she asks.

"Oh, yeah. I'll make do with whatever" I answer. I recognized that
store from my many visits to Cedar Point.

We are quiet for a while, the music from the radio breaking the
silence. She has it set to a local mix station. She breaks the lull in
conversation after of couple of minutes. "You think he's sexy, don't you?"

I snap my head around to look at her, surprised by what she
asked. "Huh?"

"Mike. You think he's hot." It's a statement, not a question this
time. She looks at my confused face and laughs before she turns back to the
road. "It's ok! We came to the conclusion that you're gay last night after
you left."

I finally find my tongue again after a moment. "Is it really that
obvious?"

That you're gay or that you think Mike is hot?"

"Both, I guess." My face turns red and I go back to watching the
buildings go by.

"If I ran into you at the store, I wouldn't think you were gay" she
says. "After last night though, it's pretty obvious. You were attached to
his every word!"

       "Sorry" I say dejectedly.

"It's ok!" she reassures me. "I have a few friends. I'm always
picking their jaws up off the floor and wiping up drool every time they
come over."

I laugh at that. "And he doesn't care?"

"Oh, please, He loves it! He usually finds a reason to shed, at
least, his shirt when they're there."

"Well, he didn't last night!" I say.

"You already saw it!" she replies. "And ... you're different."

"What's that supposed to mean?" I ask. When I look at her, her
expression has changed.

"Here we are" she says as she pulls off the road and into the
parking lot. She's avoiding the question. I look at her for a moment longer
before I decide to let her dodge this one.

We make our way into the store, grab carts, and start shopping. She
says she's doing a major restock since she hasn't been shopping in a
while. Her expression changed again and soon we were making small talk. We
chatted about prices and what we liked to cook and other various
topics. The whole time I was trying to figure out what she meant by me
being different.

We finished out shopping, checked out, and went to the car. Our haul
filled the entire back of the Jeep, even with the back seats folded flat.

Jess gets us back on the road and heading home. I decided to see if
I can get an answer from her. "What did you mean earlier?" ask cautiously
and quietly.

"Exactly what I said" she replies shortly.

       "But, how am I different?"

She looks at me quickly and back to the road. She squeezes the wheel
tightly. I wish I know why this put her on edge. "Nevermind" I say and turn
back to the window. If it was going to make her that uncomfortable, I won't
press too hard.

"No. It's fine" she says quietly. "We'll talk later. Is that ok?"

I look at her again. We make eye contact for a second and she gives
me half a smile. "Yeah, sure. Girls night?"

She laughs. "Yeah, that sounds good."

"Ok. You provide the cheese and crackers and I'll bring the wine and
the chick flick."

"Deal." She laughs again. "Your place or mine?"

"Mine" I answer. We dissolve into random chatter again for the rest
of the drive. I've already found two great friends since getting here. This
move was already proving to be good for me.

A couple minutes later, we make it home and start unloading. It take
a few trips in and out for us to get everything; one down side to being on
the second floor of an apartment building. On the last trip Jess lays out
the plan. "Ok. I'll get this put away and make dinner for all of us. You're
invited. No excuses." She added the last part when she saw that I was about
to protest. "And then we'll make our escape back here and we'll talk."

"Ok, sounds good. See you in a bit" I say."

"See you" she says back and we both go into our respective
apartments. I set the last few bags on the floor. I put some music on and
start putting everything away. When I'm finished with htat I go to my room
and bring out one of the kitchen boxes. I decide to call Kim while
unpacking so, I kill the music and put her on speaker.

"Hellooooo" she says when she answers.

       "Oh, hey! How's it going?"

"Oh, pretty good except I miss you!!!!" she says sadly.

"I miss you too! That's why I called" I tell her. "This place is
pretty awesome so far! I wish you were here though."

"I told you it would be good! Meet any hot guys yet?" she asks
curiously.

       "Maybe" I reply nonchalantly.

       "Oh, come on!! Spill it!"

Well, the neighbor is pretty hot but, he's engaged."

"Awww, that sucks!" she says sadly. "Tell me everything."

I take over the conversation and tell her pretty much every detail
that's happened since I got here. When I get to the part about me being
different, she questions me pretty heavily on it. "I don't know!! I told
you that already!" I say to her. "But, I'm going to find out later. Jess
and I are having a girls night she said we would talk about it."

       "Replacing me already?" she asks.

"Of course not!! You're irreplaceable, Kim."

"Ok. Ok. But, you're going to tell me all about it" she demands.

"Duh!" I say. "I'm sure I'll be calling you tomorrow." I move to the
fridge to get something to drink.

"You better!" I hear Kim say.

I open the fridge but notice a bag out of the corner of my eye that
I missed hiding on the other side of the island. "Damn!"

       "What?" I hear Kim ask.

"Oh, I missed a bad while putting away the groceries."

       "Uh oh. Anything important?"

I pick up the bag and look into it. "Nope, just some canned stuff."

"Oh, that's good" she says. " OMG, so..." She launches into some
drama that went on in one of her Facebook groups while I put away the
canned goods. Halfway through the bag I find a piece of paper between two
cans. There a phone number written on it and "text me - CJ"

"Uhhhhh, helllloooooo. Are you listening?" Kim's voice snaps me back
to attention.

"Yeah. Well, uhhhh...no" I admit. "I found a note in the bag" I tell
her.

       "What kind of note?"

"A note with a phone number telling me to text them."

       "From who though?"

       "It says CJ."

       "Who's that?"

"Umm... I think that's the bagger's name from the grocery store." I
vaguely remember glancing at his name tag after checking him out.

       "Oh." She sounds disappointed.

"Jeez. Don't write him off just because he's a bagger at a grocery
store."

       "I'm not. I just wasn't expecting that."

"Who else could have put it in there?" I ask.

       "I don't know. I wasn't there!"

"Well, he was pretty cute and I'm going to text him later" I say,
tossing the note onto the counter.

       "You do that" she says.

There's a knock at the door and Mike pokes his head in. "Dinner will
be ready in a few minutes."

"Ok. I'll be there in a minute" I tell him.

"Who was that?' Kim asks after the door closes.

       "Mike."

       "Oh. He sounds hot too!"

"He's like, perfect" I tell her. "But, I have to go. I'll call you
tomorrow!"

       "K. Bye. Love you!"

"You too." I hit end and head on over to Jess and Mike's.

Dinner wasn't anything special. We chatted a little while we
devoured Jess's delicious baked chicken with red potatoes and steam
carrots. They mostly talked about work. Mike talked about the client he had
gone to meet earlier. "I don't know why he even meets with me anymore" he
says. "He's perfectly in shape now, not an ounce of fat is left on his
body. The only thing he can do is bulk up now and he doesn't want to do
that. We basically just work out together now and I give him the same tips
to maintain."

"Maybe he's just used to it and doesn't want to stop" I say.

       He shrugs. "Maybe."

Jessica worried about how big the stack of paperwork she was going
to have on her desk tomorrow. She had taken Friday off for some
appointments.

I don't say much since I don't even know what I was going to be
doing exactly. I had been hired as a Residential Planner/Secretary and I
wasn't sure how it was going to go. I was nervous as hell about it too.

We finished eating and Jess cleared the table. When she came back,
she had the cheese and crackers with her. "What's that for?" Mike asks.

"Ummm... Ryan and I are going to have a movie night" Jess answers.

"Oh. You guys clicked on that shopping trip, eh?" Jess and I just
nod. "I'm assuming it's just for the two of you?"

"It's a chick flick" I say hoping he hates them.

"Oh, screw that" he says in disgust. It worked! "I've got some
things I want to get done anyway."

"Ok, honey" Jess says and leans in to kiss him. "See you later."

"See you" I say while standing up.

We head into my apartment and I go straight to the fridge for the
wine I bought earlier. "How did you know the chick flick thing would work?"
Jess asks me. She grabs a knife from the block and starts cutting the
cheese.

       "I didn't" I say. "I was just hoping." I grab a couple wine glasses
and head to the living room with the whole bottle. I figured we would have
more than just one glass with this conversation.

Jess brings in the cheese and crackers while I pour the wine. She
grabs her glass and takes a large swallow from it. "So, about earlier" she
starts and then grabs a cracker. I grab a couple of my own and wait
patiently for her to continue. I didn't want to pressure her too much. She
chews slowly while she thinks. "I guess I should start at the beginning."
She stops again to eat a piece of cheese. "When I first met Mike, 5 years
ago, he had a boyfriend."

I barely stop myself from spitting wine everywhere. "WHAT?!!" I
sputter. I couldn't help it. She gives me a serious look. "Sorry, go on" I
say apologetically.

She goes on to tell the story after taking another large drink from
her glass. I listen attentively while she talks. She tells me that Mike and
his boyfriend were happy and Jess and Mike were just friends. Close
Friends. Then one night a few months after meeting him, Mike had called
Jess crying his eyes out. She immediately went over to his place to console
him. She found out that John (Mike's boyfriend) had cheated on him. She
stayed with him through the night and he had fallen asleep in her arms.

The next couple of months went by with Jess helping Mike manage the
aftermath of the breakup. They grew closer together and eventually started
dating.

Jess stops talking for a minute and drinks some more wine and
munches some. I just continue sitting quietly and digesting what she had
said.

She starts up again. She tells me that in the beginning a few guys
had caught his attention but, he never did anything. He was always faithful
to her and always would be. Eventually, she noticed, he put all that behind
him. Now there were very few guys that he ever batted an eyelash at. She
thinks that's when he realized that she was the one for him. "None of it
really bothered me" she continues. "I've always known that he wouldn't do
anything." Her voice isn't sad but, it isn't cheerful either. It's almost
emotionless and I try to read into how she actually feels. I came up with
nothing. "But, you...," she looks at me, "...you're different." She pauses
again. "In just two days, not even, you have completely captured his
attention." She's not angry, or confused, or sad, or jealous, or
anything. It's almost as if she's amazed.

"Why are you telling me all of this?" I ask her. I'm confused,
that's for sure.

"So that you know our history. And because...," she stops for a
second and then nods as if she's made a decision about something, "... when
he tries to do something with you, I don't want to you to stop him."

My jaw falls into my lap. ""WHAT?!!"" I think to myself. ""Don't
stop him?!! When? That's when he does, not if?"" I keep these thoughts to
myself and slowly close my mouth. I drain the rest of my glass and go for
the bottle but, it's empty. So, I look back at her. She's just watching
me. "You're kidding, right?" I wait for her to smile or start laughing or
something but, she doesn't do any of that.

"No, I'm not." The way she says it convinces me this is no joke. "I
can read him like an open book. He's going to try something at some
point. And don't tell me when he does, I'll already know."

I sit and stare at her for a few minutes. "I would feel so guilty if
I did that to you!"

"Don't be" she says. "I'll write you a free pass if you want." She
smirks.

"What, are we back in high school again? We're just going to share
your fiancé?" I ask unbelievably.

"Sure, why not? He's still going to marry me in the end" she
says. She's confident about it too.

I watch her for a minute trying to see if this is an act. I'm not
entirely convinced she isn't yanking my chain. This has to be a set up or
something. There is now way she's just going to let me fuck around with her
fiancé without being pissed about it. But, she smiles a real, genuine
smile; no fakeness to it and it's not forced. So, I smile back. "Alright,
if you say so" I tell her. I'm still not entirely convinced but, I'll play
along for now. I'll just tread carefully.

"So, about that movie? What are we watching?" she asks me while
looking at the T.V.

"Ummm..." Wow, she pours herself out like that and then puts it all
away just like that? "'The Fault in Our Stars'" I finally answer.

"Oooooh, I've been wanted to watch that one!" she says and settles
back into the couch. I start the movie and then go pop some popcorn. I
already saw this one so I can miss a minute or so. When the popcorn is done
I join her on the couch. She cuddles up to me and we cry our eyes out. Wow,
this friendship with them is getting pretty interesting.
