Subject: The Cabaret Singer - Part 1
Dan and Mark's First Date
"Fuck!" Dan thought to himself as he slowly raised the
hunk's shirt, exposing a perfect pec and small pink
nipple. The hunk arched his back and moaned as Dan's
moist tongue and lips touched the nipple. "How did I
wind up on top of this stud of a man?" Dan wondered,
as he tasted the sweaty smooth skin.
Mark was a singer and actor who had performed in some
of the cabarets and theatres around town. Dan had
seen him perform on several occasions, and had
fantasized about the talented man. Mark stood 6'3", a
solid 205 lbs with a 44-inch chest and 32-waist. He
often wore tight black pants which revealed a package
that would rival any star in the porn industry, and a
perfectly shaped ass in which any man would want to
bury his face. He usually wore black 501's or black
leather pants. Dan had fantasized of how the inside
of those snug leather pants would smell of sweat and
testosterone.
While Dan knew who Mark was, they had never met. Dan
looked forward to the various events where Mark
performed. When Mark sang, he exuded a strong
sexuality and masculinity that was warmed by the man's
dark eyes and welcoming smile. His strong baritone
voice could reduce the toughest of men to Jell-O. Dan
was content to sit on the sidelines and appreciate the
talents that God had bestowed on him. Besides, Dan
had a lover of his own. A man he had loved for 14
years.
Dan and Alan had the type of relationship most people,
straight and gay, would envy. Not only were they best
friends, confidants, and lovers. Not only did they
love each other, they absolutely adored each other.
However, their relationship, while committed, was
exactly what they had promised each other - till death
do us part. Alan was tragically killed in a horrible
auto accident leaving Dan totally devastated, lost and
helpless.
Four weeks after Alan was buried, a couple of Dan's
friends insisted he get out and join them at a charity
event. The event was an annual cabaret type show with
local talent singing and performing. It was the type
of show where the audience tips the performers and all
of the donations go to charity. Dan didn't really
feel like being out, and didn't really enjoy the show,
but was glad his friends cared enough about him to be
there for him and to drag him out of the house.
Mark happened to be one of the entertainers at that
event and as he strolled through the crowd after he
performed, his and Dan's eyes locked on one another.
Mark stood off to the side behind Dan, but near enough
where they could smile at each other.
Dan, still reeling from Alan's death, was numb to most
stimuli around him, but kept noticing Mark when he
looked over his shoulder. Mark was a handsome man
with short wavy black hair, dark brown eyes, and a
close-cropped goatee. He had a smile that could melt
butter and a presence about him that was undeniably
sexy, especially in his black jeans, black shirt,
black cowboy hat and boots.
They kept smiling at each other and eventually moved
toward each other. They introduced themselves and
chatted briefly. Dan was still in shock from Alan's
death, but was aware enough to be flattered by the
attention from Mark. Also he noted his friends
watching the two of them chatting and smiled to
themselves. In the end, Dan closed off the
conversation and moved back with his friends. He just
wasn't in any frame of mind to be thinking of anyone
other than Alan.
Mark crossed Dan's mind over the next few days, but
over time Dan had focused on his own issues and
healing. In time, he began going out and trying to
participate in life again.
Dan had discovered the Internet as a place to meet men
and used that as a way to ease his pain. A number of
men had passed through his sheets, most for a quick
romp, and some for a repeat or more. Some of the men
had been nice, some had been liars, others cheats, but
they had managed to fill some void in his life if only
temporarily and if only for that release of sweat and
sperm. Dan still remained alone and in a fog finding
that alcohol, drugs and a kaleidoscope of men could
not replace the love of his life.
Finally, the one year anniversary of Alan's death came
around. Dan felt a sense of relief and was beginning
to feel more like his old self. Even his friends had
noticed Dan seemed more comfortable and was laughing
more. He was ready to start dating again. Not
tricking, but looking for quality men to date and with
whom he could start to enjoy life again. Dan was
looking forward to what life might offer him.
A couple of weeks went by and saw the return of the
annual event where he had met Mark the year before. A
number of his friends were going and Dan decided to
attend just to get out of the house. By this time
Mark was only a wisp of a memory.
The event proved to be entertaining, but mostly
because Dan was among his friends. He had been
bemoaning his misfortune with men over the course of
the past year. While he still missed Alan, Dan knew
he needed to be moving forward with his life and was
ready and willing to meet other men and to date.
One of Dan's closest friends, a lesbian named Carol,
spotted a handsome man walking past the two of them
and said, "Now THAT'S a man I can see you with. You
two would make a hot looking couple." Dan could only
see the man's back as he passed by, but tracked him
through the crowd until he could see his face. The
man turned, and to Dan's surprise, she had pointed out
Mark. Dan's heart did a leap. Carol had no way of
knowing the two of them had briefly met a year
earlier.
Dan kept watching Mark, and eventually their eyes met
-- again. The emcee was announcing that Mark was about
to perform. As Mark began to sing a saucy Bobby Darin
number, Dan pulled out a dollar to tip the hunk of a
man. "You're not going to believe this, but I met him
a year ago and just couldn't consider pursuing him
then," he lewdly grinned to Carol, "but what a
difference a year makes." With that he folded the
dollar bill lengthwise, put it between his teeth and
went up to tip the handsome performer. As Mark
accepted the tip, their eyes met and the crooner
winked. Their fingers touched, and a surge of
electricity went down through Dan's balls. This was a
reaction he had not felt in a very long time. But
being the pessimist, he realized ALL performers wink
at the men who tip them. That's how these charity
events work.
When the show was over, Dan noticed that Mark was
chatting with Donny, a friend of his who had produced
the fundraiser. He quickly went over to congratulate
Donny on a great show, and hopefully have the
opportunity to "meet" Mark again. Of course, the
ever-polite Donny introduced the two men, and when
their eyes met, a surge of electricity went through
Dan for the second time that evening. The pulse went
through his chest. The power of Mark's smile and
piercing dark eyes suddenly made Dan realize he hadn't
felt anything like that in years and years. The
connection was like a static charge and made Dan feel
almost giddy.
Dan could see that Mark was definitely interested.
Even though they were standing in a noisy crowed bar,
everything around the two men suddenly faded away, and
they were as alone as if standing in the middle of the
desert. Within seconds they quickly established to
the other that they were both single. Within the next
two minutes Dan found out that Mark had lost a lover
to AIDS several years earlier. The connection was
made. Each man understood where the other was and
what he had gone through.
Mark suddenly professed to being hungry and suggested
they go get something to eat. Dan, being no fool,
agreed and off they went.
Dan suggested a fun Mexican restaurant where they
could go at the late hour. He drove and promised to
bring Mark back to his car. Over dinner they talked
about their lives, past lovers, families and found
they had a lot in common. To this day, Dan has no
idea what he ate, but only knows the ecstasy he found
looking in Mark's deep dark eyes. He thought to
himself that he hadn't met anyone who had made him
feel this way since he met Alan.
The conversation flowed easily and the two men soon
settled into a comfortable natural exchange. As with
any gay man, the conversation turned to sex. Dan
confessed that if he had any regrets about his
relationship with Alan it was that he had wished they
had been more sexually compatible. "As we both got
older, we each developed interest in various fetishes
and unfortunately those interests weren't shared," Dan
explained. "We had an open relationship that worked
for us, and allowed each of us to explore our darker
sides." Mark's ears perked as he grinned and asked in
an evil tone, "Fetishes? What sort of fetishes?" Dan
knowing that some of his sexual interests might be
seen as somewhat extreme, just slyly smiled and said,
"I can't reveal TOO much about myself on the first
date." Mark pushed forward, "Then you'll have to tell
me on our second date."
There, it had been said. They each had used the word
"Date." They both realized that they were indeed on
a "Date." Date with a capital "D."
Mark shared his philosophy on sex. "I believe in
monogamy. But with my training as an actor, and my
creativity, I believe in making sex exciting and
different," and he grinned. Dan couldn't leave this
alone and asked, "How so?" Now it was Mark's turn to
be coy and said "I can't reveal TOO much about myself
either on the first date." They both laughed. Dan's
was a bit more nervous as he was afraid some of his
sexual interests might scare off this gorgeous man
sitting across the table from him. Only time and
trust would tell.
It appeared their interest in each other was mutual,
and that both of their minds were going in the same
direction. Dan felt exhilarated that Mark was
interested in him. He had always felt self-conscious
about his looks and body. He was also nervous about
starting his life over at 47. Dan had often been
called "good looking" and even "handsome" by both men
and women; however, he just never saw it when he
looked at his reflection in the mirror. Dan was 6'4"
and was now a trim 195 lbs after spending a year
working out with a trainer three times a week at the
gym. He had always been long and lean, but realized
he would never have the bulk and mass that men of
thicker statures were able to attain. However, he did
like the way his arms, shoulders and chest were
shaping up. He also hoped that Mark would appreciate
the salt and pepper in his flattop and goatee as sexy
and not as a sign of age.
Before they left the restaurant, Mark excused himself
to go to the restroom. Dan leered at that magnificent
ass as Mark walked away from the table. He considered
following Mark for a bit of quick nasty fun in the
restroom, but managed to restrain himself. "I have a
feeling this man is going to be more than just a
trick. A lot more," he thought to himself. "When we
get naked for the first time, I want it to be drawn
out and fun. You only get one chance to undress
someone for the first time, and I want it to be
special." Then he evilly grinned and thought, "I'll
get him in a restroom sometime tho. Oh, yes I will."
Following dinner, Dan drove back to the bar. En route
he reached over and put his hand on Mark's tight
thigh. Mark leaned his head back, sighed and sang the
first line of, "He touched me." They both looked at
each other and smiled as Mark clasped his hand over
Dan's. Arriving back at the bar, Mark's car turned
out to be a shiny black studly pick-up truck. Dan had
always fantasized about having hot sweaty sex in the
bed of a pick-up. Nervously Dan unbuckled his seat
belt and turned in his seat toward the hunk sitting
next to him. He leaned over, put his hand behind
Mark's neck, pulled him close and softly kissed him.
Mark's lips were hot, moist and responsive. They sent
electricity and fireworks. Their mouths opened and
their tongues met only as two men can. Dan had kissed
many women in his time, but there is nothing quite
like the hot caress of a man and the soft roughness of
his mouth and tongue. Their breathing deepened as
their pulses revved. Dan forcefully grasped Mark's
masculine face and probed his tongue deeper in the
stud's mouth. His cock pulsed as he felt Mark accept
his strength and passion.
Dan moved his hand down and cupped one of Mark's pecs.
As he slowly rubbed his thumb across the hardening
nipple, Mark softly whimpered. Dan thought to
himself, "Man, I just fuckin' love it when a hot man
like this whimpers and moans. Now I really can't wait
to get him naked." His cock pulsed again. He wanted
to grab Mark's growing crotch, but decided to wait for
now. Mark's hands were roaming over his body. He,
too, must have been thinking the same thing as he
avoided fondling the hard bulge in Dan's jeans.
Realizing the late hour and that tomorrow was a work
day, they broke from the hot embrace. They decided
to get together the following evening after Dan's gym
workout and see where this connection might take them.
