In part 21, Kevin had lost his cherry and Adam and Adrian had set out for
Bristol to visit Adams' parents.

	"DANNY" part 22.

	The traffic was fairly light so we made good time on our
journey. As we ate up the miles I asked Adam why he had never bought a car
and did he have a full licence.
	"I have driven a car but never had a full licence, I used to ride a
motor bike but I had an accident and have never bothered since, I'm quite
content to sit here and let you or Danny drive" he answered.
	"When was the accident, how did it happen?" I asked
		"It was during my last year at Uni, I was on my motor bike
when this guy jumped the lights, he was doing a ton and took me with
him. At first the surgeons told me I was going to lose my left leg but I
told them I might as well die, could you imagine me trying to get around a
kitchen on a dummy leg. They told me I could get a different job but I
explained that catering was my life, and also I could never ride a board
with a false leg. Eventually they decided to reconstruct my leg it was a
long job as I had a comminuted compound fracture, I had so many pins and
screws in my leg they could pick me up with a magnet, but they did it. I
owe those guys so much I can now do my job, ride a board and do just about
anything, I just have a couple of scars on my leg" said Adam
	"Was there any other damage" I asked.
		"I had a small fracture at the base of my skull and it gave
me terrible headaches for a long time after, even now if I get a headache
it's killer, fortunately it doesn't happen very often"

	In no time at all we were running into Bristol and Adam gave me
directions to his parents pad, I called it his home but he soon said, "My
home is with you and the guys, either at the restaurant or the apartment,
this used to be my home but that stopped when Dad discovered I was gay.
	Adam introduced me to his parents, his Mum was most welcoming but
his father very reluctantly shook hands with me but didn't bother to get
out of his chair.
	When Mum went to the kitchen to make some drinks Adam followed her
and his Dad said, " I suppose you know Adam's a queer"

alone I will make sure she is OK, she can either stay here or move in with

	"Oh we think Dad will be OK for a while yet and when something does
happen, this is my home, it is fully paid for and I understand your offer
but I would want to stay here. All my friends are here and I would be quite
happy." said Mum.
	I think we were all pleased when it became time for bed, Dad was at

	The journey home was rather quiet and we held hands between the
seats when the traffic allowed, it also gave us the opportunity to talk
about the restaurant.
	"What are we going to do about a new headwaiter" I asked. Our
present guy was very good but he was getting itchy feet.
	"I suppose we will have to advertise" said Adam "How about just
advertising for a waiter?" I asked
	"Are you meaning what I think you do" Adam asked.  "Why not Tony is
perfect for the job, he took over for the holidays" I replied
	"I know he is, but he is very young, he's only twenty one, and also
he's my boyfriend, don't you think that rather speaks of nepotism" Adam
returned. I knew he was dying to give the job to Tony but he was putting
forward arguments in case he showed bias.
	"How old were you when you first took over in a kitchen" I asked.
		"Twenty two" he replied
	"Right then, I'm going to exercise my powers as senior partner and
say we appoint him, is that OK with you, I think we should have a staff
meeting and put it to them"
	"Of course it is OK, he is the guy for the job, I can hardly
believe that when we wake in the morning he has a rather hard part of his
