To Folsum and Beyond, part 9 by lennoxbear@aol.com

The following is continuation of characters presented in Feelings of
Security.

NOTE: This story includes references and descriptions to gay, male to male
sex, if such matters offend you, please exit. Also, actions of a sexual
nature occur in this story which are not a statement supporting unsafe
sexual practices, this is a work of fiction and fantasy.

Tom held his breath. His heart was beating furiously as he struggled with
his restraints. They were loose and he was suddenly free. Afraid to move
because of the gunshots, Tom stayed in a prone position for a 60-second
count. He lurched back, coming free of the restraints and stood up. He
pulled the hood from his head and looked around the sordid room. As he
turned toward the door, Red came running in with Darrell and Ron. He threw
his arms around Tom and held on for dear life. Darrell and Ron joined in
the hug. Tom looked at Red and saw the welts from the whippings and
bruises from the beatings. He recalled his bashing and held the short
muscle man tighter.

"The shots, what happened? Tom searched Darrell and Ron's faces.

"One of the guards foolishly opened fire on the cops who were helping us."
Ron pulled back to look at Tom's tired, wet face. He ran his hand over the
short hair that had grown in over the last two weeks.

"Who got hit?" Tom pushed back from the three men.

"The guy who fired. We think he may be dead."

"And Ted." Eric's voice came from the doorway. Tom turned to see him
standing there with blankets for him and Red. The two big men rushed
toward each other and locked in a strong embrace. Eric handed a blanket to
Darrell for Red and wrapped the other around Tom's shoulders.

"Ted? Is he?" Tom rushed toward the door and into the hallway. Vic knelt
at his partner's side as paramedics worked to save him. Tom walked over to
Vic and put his hand on the burly cop's shoulder. Vic looked up and
wrapped his arms around Tom's legs. Tom knelt to cradle his friend's head
against his chest. Vic's face was contorted in silent anguish over his
lover. Eric crossed the room and helped him to his feet.

"You need to go to the hospital with him, come on. We'll follow." Eric
took Vic by the elbow and helped him to his feet, then guided him toward
the door with his other arm around Tom. He was afraid to let go. Darrell
and Ron followed with Red between them.

As they stepped outside into the cold night air, paramedics rushed over to
get Red and Tom to take them to the hospital to be examined. Three other
men, who had been captives, were already in the process of being
transported. Police cars surrounded the warehouse. Mike was already in
custody and sitting in the back of one. His other guard was being led to
another vehicle as Bill, Steve, Tony and Dwayne came around the corner.

Eric pushed Tom and Red toward the ambulances, "Go ahead, we'll be there
with these guys. It's over. You're mine again." Tom felt the tears
streaming down his face as two cops helped him into shoes and into the
ambulance. Red stepped up behind him. They watched as the ambulance
carrying Ted sped off and the doors closed behind them. Two of the
policemen openly wept for Ted. Tom held Red's hand as the paramedic began
checking them over. They watched their lovers embrace the four men who had
helped find them as their ambulance left for the hospital. Moments later
they were whisked through emergency services and admitted for observation
and tests. The two men said very little as blood was drawn and their
bodies examined. They were given the opportunity to shower and sleep.
Eric, Darrell and Ron waited in another room with Vic.

Ted's official time of death was listed as 2:30 AM.

Eric told Tom and Red at 10 AM the next morning when they awoke from the
first full night's sleep they had had in many days. Tom found Vic sitting
alone in the hospital chapel, still covered in his lover's dried blood. He
sat down next to him and took his shaking hand in his.

"There isn't anything I can say that would express the gratitude I have for
your helping us. And there isn't anything to say how sorry I am." He
slipped his arm around the big man's shoulders as Vic crumbled into his lap
to cry. Eric found them that way an hour later.

Eric helped Vic to his feet. "We have to take Ted home. The police force
sent a hearse to take him back. Frank and Don are here to make sure you
get home. They'll stay with you." Two of Vic's cop buddies met him at the
door and escorted him to Frank and Don's car. Tom and Red watched from
their hospital room window, their arms around each other's waists.

The two men were released the next day. Tom sat in silence as Eric drove
his truck home. Tom's parents, along with Kyle and Mark were waiting at
the house to greet them. Tom reassured his folks he was all right and that
they needn't worry. He excused himself after an hour to go to bed; he was
still exhausted from the whole ordeal. Eric said goodbye to his parents
and the two young men and locked the door. He climbed the stairs and
walked into the bedroom.

Tom was sprawled peacefully on his side of the king-sized bed. Eric
slipped out of his clothes and under the covers wrapping his arms around
his son. Tom turned to snuggle against him and pull his dick between his
thighs. Eric lay there running his hand over the thick muscled shoulder
and arm for a long time as Tom slept. He wrapped his arm around the young
man, nuzzled against the back of his neck and dozed off. Tom woke him in
the middle of the night by stroking the cock between his thighs to full
erection.

"I need you to fuck me, to mark me as your man again and reclaim me. Tom
slid to his back and pulled Eric on top of him. Their lips met and parted
as their tongues touched and caressed. The intensity of their kisses
increased until a half-hour had past with only kisses expressing their
feelings for each other. Eric slowly began his way working down Tom's
magnificent body. As he had a year ago when they met, he raised Tom's
hands above his head and placed them around the headboard. Tom gripped the
bars and held as Eric's tongue explored every part and muscle of his body.
Eric felt the energy that had been building in him over the month he had
been in the hospital. The energy came rushing out of him as love for his
boy. He sucked the nips to full erection and pulled on the nipple rings
with is teeth; the whole time using his own huge pecs on the hard cock
nestled between them. He tongue washed all the way to the soles of Tom's
perfect feet and back to the oversized nutsack. Tom's body hair had begun
to grow back. As much as Eric loved his boy to be shaved, the new growth
was like a new beginning for them.

He sucked one massive ball into his mouth and then the other. He couldn't
manage both together. He gripped the statue like hardness at the base and
licked it all around, up and down and slowly swallowed it to the base. No
one with whom Tom had been forced to have sex ever bothered to do him.
Eric pulled back and let the cock smack against Tom's thickly etched abs
with a loud thud. He positioned his cock against Tom's and erotically
rubbed them together. He held Tom's wrists and kissed him over and over.
He licked his ear.

"I'm going to fuck you, hard and fast, but you can't come. Cause after I
bury my load, you will return the favour. I need my boy to fuck me and
complete our union. You gonna fuck your old man, son?"

"Yes sir."

Eric raised Tom's legs. They were definitely bigger than when they had been
in San Francisco a few weeks ago. Eric pushed his monster cock deep inside
of Tom; they both felt the electricity of the moment. Tom writhed and
pushed his hips up to meet Eric's fucking motion.

"Oh fuck, gaaawwwwwd, aaaaaaaaaaaaawhhhhhhhh, oh damn, I love you, Eric."
He broke free of Eric's grip on his wrists, wrapped his arms around the
thickly muscled chest and pulled Eric into him as far as he could. He
wound his arm tightly around Eric's neck and gave over to the heat and
desire of his lover fucking him.

They awoke the next morning having rebuilt the bond between them. Tom sat
on the side of the bed for a few minutes. Eric ran his hand over the wide
back. "You thinking of going to work? Don't, I need you here; we can work
on some things together later this afternoon. I love you Tom and need to
make up for not being able to say that for the last month."

"What was the cause of your being sick, you never had a chance to tell me."
He turned to softly stroke the long tube of meat and played with Eric's
orange sized balls.

"It was a bad combination of infection from the appendix, a food allergy to
something that I ate further complicated by a reaction to chemicals in one
of the wines I drank the day we were on the road. Nothing is unsafe or
wrong with the wine, but I can't handle some weird chemistry in it.
Dr. Tom figured it out through Marsh who sent bottles of all the wines we
bought off to a lab to be tested. Our friends are truly a blessing."

"What about Vic? What do we do for him now?"

"Give him time and space, if he needs it. Be there if he needs a shoulder
to lean on and love him for the wonderful, warm person he is."

"When's Ted's funeral?"

"In three days. He'll get a full police honour funeral service with lots
of people from the gay community."

"Can we ask Vic to stay here?"

"If you want, but it is up to him if he wants to be alone."

"I know, but I just spent the most alone period of my life constantly
surrounded by men using my body. I want him to know he can depends on us
if he needs to do so."

"He knows."

Tom lay on top of Eric and pulled the covers over top of them. Marsh found
them still sleeping that way an hour later when he and Jack arrived to do
some work. They let them sleep as they worked down the hall. The sounds
of raucous sex soon distracted them from their work.

"Well, some things got back to normal quickly."

The morning of Ted's funeral was clear and crisp, the kind of day Ted
loved. It was a fitting tribute for the man. His family was gathered with
friends and relatives at a small brick church in which Ted had grown up.
The church's minister was supportive of Ted and knew he was gay. His door
and heart were always open. The church worked to accommodate the huge
numbers of policemen who turned out for the service plus an equally large
number of gay friends. Ted's family had accepted Vic as one of their own
but it was clear by the emotion on his face that he was having a difficult
time finding comfort in the love that surrounded him.

Vic stood to one side of Ted's family in his full police dress with a black
armband. The police all wore black armbands but many had added a rainbow
band. Vic later learned how many of those men were gay and soon came out.
Ted's life had been an example of positive gay spirit in service to the
greater community. The minister spoke of service, honour and understanding
among all those in attendance. The police captain spoke of Ted's
dedication to the force and commitment to serving everyone equally. Eric
had been asked to speak on behalf of Vic and spoke simply of love, the
value of friendship and fellowship and of simply living your life and
treating all people as you wished to be treated yourself, with dignity and
respect

The pallbearers were two family members, two policemen and Tom and Red.
The six men carried the coffin with Ted's body the 100 or so yards to the
small cemetery adjoining the church property. The throngs of friends,
family, police and gay community enveloped the small country cemetery with
love. Eric stood with his arm around Tom to one side carefully keeping
watch on Vic. Darrell, Ron and Red stood behind them. The police
department had made arrangements for a social hall so people could pay
respect and condolences with Ted's family. Hundreds of people came and
went that afternoon.

Late in the day, Ted's mother stopped Eric to thank him for his kind words.
She hugged the big man and pulled him down to kiss his cheek.

"My son always spoke well of you. You have a reputation in this city for
fairness and honesty. Two virtues that are often missing today. Vic is
part of my family and my home is always open to him. I don't know how
comfortable he will be in visiting but I hope he will. I hope you will
also stop in from time to time. I'm old and I don't get out much. You
fellas bring light to my spirit and I hope you will honour me." Eric
assured her that he would. He watched as she worked her way through the
crowd giving a kind word and thank you to everyone she met.

He found Vic standing just outside a side door overlooking the hill where
the cemetery stretched. He put a hand on his shoulder and Vic turned to
give him a long hug. Eric rubbed his hands over the muscular back and felt
the trembling deep within.

"This sounds so cliche, but I don't know what I will do."

"You'll get by, in time, with a little help from your friends."

"Don't sing, you suck." The two men laughed and stood with their arms
around each other not needing to say anything at that time.

Tom was across the hall talking quietly with the numerous friends who had
stopped in to pay their respect. Dr. Pratt took his arm and pulled him
aside. "So, how are you holding up in all of this?"

"Fairly well, but I have to tell you, there are times I feel a lot of guilt
and pain. Too much has happened and I don't know how well I can deal with
it."

"You need to talk with some one, in therapy, you know, like a
psychiatrist?"

"Yeah, next week, if possible. Can you set it up?"

"Sure. Any physical problems after your ordeal?"

"No, I feel fine."

"Good, we'll do another physical just to be sure. How about Red?"

"He's mentioned wanting to do therapy, so if you can schedule something for
him too, I would appreciate it."

"Done."

"How's Eric's bill of health, all clean?"

"Eric's good, he needs to get back to a normal routine of workouts and work
and get through the stress. If you want, we can schedule a couple of
sessions for the both of you, might not hurt."

"That's a good idea, but I have to tell you, I love him more now than ever
and it's only been a little over a year. I can't imagine what Vic is going
through, I hope he will be OK."

"With all of you for friends, he'll be just fine." The doctor looked at
Tom and noticed the change in the 22-year-old man. He seemed to have
acquired a peace and inner strength from all that he had endured. He stood
there in a suit looking more business than technician. His goatee had been
trimmed and his hair styled back to a flattop from the shaved look he had
been sporting. The doctor hugged him and said he had to go find Dan.
"We'll see you guys this weekend, call if you need anything."

Tom watched quietly as Red, Darrell and Ron engaged in conversation with
Ted's mother. Bill and Steve were talking with Mark and Steve, the guys
from DC who Ted and Vic had met at Folsum. Tony and Wayne were standing in
another group with Frank, Don, Marsh and Jack. Tom's parents were seated
at a table with Kyle, Mark and Ted's brother, along with the two cops from
Chicago who were a couple. Their house was overflowing with guests who had
come up for the funeral. Eric was, of course, insisting on having a dinner
with everyone in the hope's it would help Vic. Tom felt a hand on his back
and turned to face the beefy cop. Vic smiled and hugged him.

"Thank you for being a pallbearer, we appreciated it." Tom held onto the
big man.

"You're welcome. How are you holding up?"

"So-so. Both of us being cops, well, you tried not to think about this
happening? I have to find a way to deal with it, the captain is giving me
some time off. And I am asking Tom for a referral to a shrink."

Tom chuckled. "Think he can give us a group rate? You want to stay with us
for a few days?"

"I don't know. It hurt like hell these last couple of nights in that bed
alone." Tears rolled down Vic's face and into his bushy moustache.
"Besides, the inn is full, how many people you have staying there?"

"I don't know, they just keep coming. But you can always sleep with us. I
promise we will behave and no sex."

"Then I might as well stay home." Vic laughed and hugged Tom. "Let's talk
a little bit later, OK?"

"OK, but remember, we are having a dinner as a memorial to Ted on
Saturday." Tom stood with his arm around Vic, quietly rubbing the man's
back.

"That's fine, but can we make it leather and jeans? He would be very upset
that you all wore suits. He wasn't much for formality and stuffiness. He
always pushed the card at work."

Tom leaned in close and whispered into Vic's ear. "I have my harness on
under the suit." Vic's hand went under Tom's jacket and sure enough felt
the leather strap." Vic smiled and laughed.

"Thank you. He would have appreciated that."

Eric and Tom's house had become a campground of people in town for Ted's
funeral. Bill, Steve, Tony and Dwayne came in from Chicago. Mark and
Steve from DC. The two cop buddies from Chicago, Jim and Al and old
friends from Pittsburgh, Bruce and Steve. Even with the guest apartment
above the garage, the place was busting at the seams. Marsh and Jack
brought sleeping bags and camped out in the living room. They had
volunteered to help feed the mob. Throw in the constant coming and going
of all the local friends and the driveway was soon a scene of gridlock.

The mood following the funeral was one of respectful quiet as old friends
sat around and talked, renewing old times and sharing stories about the
things that have happened to them. Tom had come back with a load of beer
and food which everyone helped carry into the house. Red stood at the
tailgate and looked at Tom.

"Well, this'll get us through the first night, after that, then what?"
Darrell, Ron and Red were camping out in the TV room. Tom and Red had
become like brothers and were inseparable. They led the group in workouts
in the basement but refrained from any fun in the playroom or sauna. They
begged off saying they weren't quite up to it.

Friday evening, Eric decided to unload the group on Dan's restaurant. Dan
quickly organized his banquet room and set about feeding the gaggle of
muscle men. Of course, being a group of gay men, they had completely
rearranged the tables and chairs and rehung all the wall hangings within
the first 20minutes. Dan just shook his head and muttered that he had so
much to learn. The tables were now in a big squared O, leaving one corner
open for the wait staff to work the group from the inside. Dan's
restaurant was one of those places that used brown paper on the tables for
tablecloths and provided crayons for entertainment. Usually for children.
Each man wrote his food order and drink in front of him to make it easier
for the staff. While they waited for appetizers, the beer and stories
began. The room suddenly got quiet as heads turned toward the door. Vic
stood there sheepishly looking around.

"Room for one more." Eric pulled a chair between Tom and his and made the
man comfortable. Vic was still very quiet but very much in need of the
company of friends. Everyone went out of his way to make him comfortable.
Tom watched as Vic's hands visibly trembled at times but would simply put
his arm around the man and silently reassure him. Eric's hand rested on
his thigh.

The staff was soon as wound up as the customers and began exchanging
one-liners with quick aplomb. Dan was red faced at their quick retorts.
If any of his staff had any doubts about his sexual orientation, it was
squashed in one evening. The women and young men working the room were
quickly passing out appetizers and plates as if they were dealing cards.
Dr. Pratt had appointed himself bar czar and kept everyone's drinks coming.
By the time the entrees arrived, the dinner resembled a circus. One
waitress stood at one end of the circle of tables and announced rolls, then
proceeded to toss them underhand to each dinner patron. The guys applauded
and praised her accuracy. She simply stood there and smiled. "I pitch for
a lesbian softball team." More applause as Dan stood to one side
dumbfounded.

"I didn't know that." Tom smiled at her as she outed herself to him.

"Oh honey, you're dense. I was counting the days all these years waiting
for you to wake up. Glad you finally did." She nodded toward Dr. Pratt
and sauntered back toward the kitchen. "Almost everyone who works here is
gay. They all knew you and wanted to work here." Tom stood there unable
to speak.

Someone finally shouted if he stood there much longer with his mouth open,
they would find something to put in it.

The whole event at the restaurant took four hours. The staff couldn't
believe they had survived and walked away with huge tips. Kyle and Mark
met one of the wait staff who they recognized from college. They were
floored that he was gay. He had been the picture of hyper masculinity on
campus. The threesome quickly made plans for the weekend.

It became a monumental task to gather everyone back up and convoy back to
Eric and Tom's. As they sat there chatting, Tom and Vic discussed his
plans for the night. Vic didn't want to be alone but was too shy to invite
himself to their place. Tom hugged him and extended the invitation, no sex
attached. Eric came over and wrapped his big, meaty arms around the two
men from the other side and felt Vic's butt flex against his basket.

"Sorry. Reflex."

"Don't be sorry, it's a beautiful butt." Eric walked out to the parking
lot with his arm around Vic. Tom ducked into the kitchen to ask Dan and
Tom if they were coming to dinner tomorrow evening. They had hoped to, if
Dan could be sure of restaurant coverage. Tom thanked them for the fun
evening and hurried out to the waiting caravan.

During the trip back toward Tom and Eric's, cars would honk as they turned
off to their own homes. Even though the guys who lived locally weren't
staying over, the driveway returned to its gridlock state. Tom had
positioned his truck at the end of the drive just in case they needed out
to get something. Everyone crowded back into the house and into the TV
room. The long evening had taken its toll as guys began excusing
themselves for bed. But from the sounds emanating down the hallway, not
many were sleeping. Soon just Tom, Eric and Vic remained, talking quietly
in the kitchen.

"You ready for bed?" Tom slipped his arm around Vic and walked toward the
bedroom. The three men stripped and climbed under the covers. Vic was
between Tom and Eric and wrapped an arm around each set of thick shoulders.
He pulled them to him and kissed them both.

"Thank you for all you have done these last few days. I love you guys and
can't think of two people I would more want to have as friends." Tom's
hand idly lay across Vic's abs and Eric's softly stroked a big nipple.
Vic's thick fat cock was soon at full erection. "Please guys. I need to
feel needed and wanted and want you to fuck me. It would mean a lot to
me."
