Lives Intertwined (Intro)
By The WhiteWolf

I am about to weave a tale of six characters before you. They have
no common thread between them, save the empty feeling that dwells within
each one of them. They all have specific traits, whether they are character
flaws or an asset in their life. There is the pessimistic mailroom employee
where the only way to the dull the pain of his life is occasional one-night
stand that breaks up the monotony of his job. The intellectual hitchhiker,
who can never stay in one place for too long for fear of commitment,
carries an empty feeling like a scar. A false sense of realty is built up
around an analytical writer who creates reality for those too afraid to
face their own, including himself. The superficial make-up artist has a
double life as the depressed drag queen: he feels both of his lives are
vacant. Even being in the spotlight and the center of attention, the
skeptical go-go dancer can't help but wish there was more. Then, there is
the charismatic white- collar worker on a board of executives who finds his
job unfulfilling and tedious.

These six souls will come together just by chance and when they do
our real story will begin. That cannot occur until you know the true nature
of the characters. You must understand their life and their minds. It is
then you can grasp human behavior and truly feel for this person.
Otherwise all is lost and my point is meaningless.

This story is not for those who feel the need for a quick
release. I have created it for those who want to read something that shows
how the smallest moment can affect a turn of events and maybe to find out
the inner-workings of a mortal mind. Call me old-fashioned but I believe
there should be a complex story line, and if possible - realism. If you
don't think that is what you are looking for I suggest you look elsewhere.
But keep in mind that captivating story that comes along can be very rare
and it is not always a good idea the pass up the chance to read it.
Whatever you choose is up to you, of course.

This is the second story by The WhiteWolf, and it is very different
from my usual writings so please bear with me. I do try to amuse. I'll try
to send a chapter every 1 to 2 weeks. So unless Josh Harnett decides to
remove the restraining order and marry me, you can be sure to get a
WhiteWolf fiction fix on a regular basis.
