Chapter 49

JW arrived home from work and took a deep breath and sighed, he reached up
and closed the garage door and leaned his head back and cursed to himself.
JW climbed out of his car, pushed open the door to the house and was
greeted by his kids who were watching TV this morning. Luke was now saying
simple words all the time and walking around with ease. JW walked over and
sat down on the couch between Leah and Kira and pulled them tight to his
body.

Leah started to cough and laugh, "Ew, Dad you stink!"

Kira imitated Leah, "Ya dad! Your really smelly."

Marcus poked his head out of the kitchen, "Hey man, I didn't even hear you
come in. How was work?"

JW pulled his daughters tighter to his body, "Work was hell, we were busy
most of the night till three in the morning. Slept from then till my alarm
woke me up and it was time to leave."

JW let go of his daughters and walked over the laundry room, stripped down
to his underwear and tossed his uniform into the washer and turned it
on. JW reached into a cabinet by the dryer and pulled out a pair of shorts,
JW kept several pairs stored just for coming home from work. JW walked out
from the laundry room and the girls laughed as Luke stumbled up to JW with
his arms out and repeatedly saying, "Dad."

JW squatted down and hugged Luke, JW stood up and started to walk away,
Luke cried out and cried out. JW stopped, turned to Luke and squatted down
again and stretched out his arms, Luke staggered forward with a smile and
laughed when he reached his father. JW kneeled down and played with Luke
for a few seconds before standing up and walking away again. Luke again
started to cry and this time gave a shrieking scream.

JW turned again and looked at Luke, waved his hand and said, "Luke your
killing me right now. You need to walk to me in the kitchen, then I will
give you all the attention you want." JW turned and walked out of sight
into the kitchen. Luke sat on the floor and started to cry loudly.

Leah jumped off the couch and went to Luke but JW called from the kitchen,
"Leah leave him alone, I want him to start walking around more."

Leah sat back down on the couch, "You know dad Luke is still a babe and
barely over one years old!"

JW sternly said, "Leah what did I say?"

Luke was still crying when JW said quietly, "Luke where are you?"

Luke sniffled and gave another short cry when JW called out for him again.
On the third call Luke stopped crying and climbed up to his feet, JW called
out to Luke again. Luke started walking towards JW's voice; JW could hear
Luke getting closer and closer. Just as Luke appeared around the corner and
into the kitchen JW called Luke's name one last time, Luke turned to JW and
tried to run. Luke tripped over his own feet and did a huge face plant,
Luke gave out a loud cry.

JW bent down, scooped up Luke and held him tight to his chest. A few
minutes later Luke was giggling, watching Marcus move around the kitchen
and trying to string together words. JW held Luke until he wanted to be put
down on the ground.

JW watched Luke disappear into the living room and JW looked to Marcus, "So
what do you think about that?"

Marcus looked over his shoulder to JW, "Think about what?"

JW sighed, "How I just handled Luke?"

Marcus shrugged, "Seemed fine to me, not like you actually did anything
wrong there. Your encouraging him to walk around and you reward him with
personal time. Hell I wish you were my parent."

Marcus looked at JW and could tell he was not convinced, Marcus called the
girls into the kitchen for breakfast. The girls bounded into kitchen and
took their seats and started eating quickly.

JW smiled as he watched them, stood up and said, "Well I am going to get
some sleep before my sister gets here."

The girls both said good night together and then started laughing. JW
opened his bedroom door and was about the close the door when Luke came
walking down the hall following him. JW waited for Luke to walk into the
room before JW closed the door, picked up Luke and put him on the bed and
crawled into bed with his son.

JW woke up and Luke was like a furnace laying next to him, JW tried to push
Luke off of him but Luke would roll back over and lay right next to JW
again. JW climbed out of bed, threw a piss and walked back to the bed and
laid down. The second JW laid down Luke climbed onto JW's back and went
right back to sleep. JW closed his eyes and fell back to sleep.

The next time JW woke up he was on fire, he could not figure out why he was
so hot until he tried to move. Luke was on his back still, Leah was laying
next to him and Kira was between his legs. Suddenly the room was filled
with a blinding bright light and JW herd adults laughing.

JW sleepily called out to Marcus and but a female answered in a whisper,
"No dummy its your sister!"

JW laughed as Katie sat on the corner of the bed, "I have to get a picture
of that, it was just too cute."

JW sighed, "Can you grab Luke off my back?"

Katie leaned over and carefully picked up Luke, "Ew, he is all sweaty!"

JW carefully rolled out of bed and managed to not wake up the girls, JW
followed Katie out of the bedroom and into the living room. Katie laid Luke
down on the couch and nodded to the patio where Marcus was sitting out side
with her fiance. JW filled a large glass of water and walked out to the
patio, Katie stopped short and wrapped her arms around JW and gave him a
strong hug, JW hesitated and returned the hug with an odd look towards
Marcus. Katie sat down and introduced JW to Kyle, her fiance. JW looked
Kyle over and gave a strong handshake and then sat down next to
Marcus. Marcus started talking about and bragging about JW and the kids, JW
could only blush and try and hide his face with his hands.

Katie started laughing, "John stop it! You are always embarrassed when
someone says anything good about you." JW rolled his eyes and gave a faint
laugh.

As JW sat down Katie looked to Kyle and started to laugh, Marcus and JW
looked at each other confused.

Kyle grinned, "Well your sister described you to me and she was not even in
the ball park, John your in amazing shape. In fact I don't know if I have
ever seen someone is such good shape."

JW was blushing and covered his face with his hands again, Katie giggled
and elbowed Kyle, "Well at least one thing I told you is true, John is way
to shy. I was hoping that you had out grown that John."

JW looked at Katie and shook his head, "Please call me JW, you know that I
don't like being called John, I know mom told you because I asked her to
tell you."

Katie sighed and smiled, "Its been to long little brother, I mean seriously
when was the last time I saw you?" Marcus looked at JW who was looking down
to the patio.

Marcus elbowed JW who finally said, "The last time I have seen anyone other
than Mom and Dad would have been when I graduated high school." The group
was silent for a second and JW sighed, "Hell I have only seen Mom and Dad
four times after that."

Marcus furrowed his eyebrow and Kyle looked around confused and asked, "Why
is that?"

Katie's eyes darted to JW who had looked up from the patio, Katie finally
responded, "Does Marcus know?"

JW nodded his head and Marcus asked, "Know what?"

JW asked Katie, "Does Kyle know?"

Kyle asked the same question as Marcus and the two looked at each other
confused, JW nodded his head to Katie and said, "Might as well talk about
this now and get it out of the way. I really don't like talking about it so
would you just start from the beginning?"

Marcus looked at Katie and he could tell that she really didn't want to do
this but after a deep breathe Katie started to tell the story of JW and
what happened when JW was abused as a child.

Marcus sat silently next to JW listening to the story from Katie and how
the events unfolded, several times Marcus wanted to scream at Katie and
other times he wanted to just walk over and slap her. But Marcus maintained
his composure and absorbed everything he was being told. As Katie ended
JW's personality, mannerisms, character and social behavior made sense. It
was understandable for anyone that went through that and have a bad
self-image. As Katie finished she apologized sincerely and Marcus could
tell from JW's body language, that an apology is something that JW didn't
want to hear.

Marcus reached over and squeezed JW hand, Marcus felt relived to feel JW
return the embrace, "JW you should be proud of who you are and where you
are at right now in your life."

Marcus smiled coolly, "You are a college graduate with a solid degree, your
charging to the top in one of the top Metropolitan Fire Departments in the
world, you have three incredibly beautiful and healthy children, people
dream of having a body like yours." Marcus paused and then laughed, "Far as
I can tell the only thing that went wrong with you was your marriage. And
your first wife was so good to you that you turned gay."

Everyone started to laugh and JW again blushed and hid his face with his
hands.

Kyle laughing said, "Your parents gave us a heads up about what kind of
shape you were in, but dude I was not expecting what is sitting in front of
me."

JW looked confused and asked, "What do you mean?"

Kyle pointed at Marcus, "Well Marcus if JW was not sitting next to you I
would say that your probably the most physically fit person I have ever
seen in my life, but JW takes it to a new level." Kyle pointed at JW, "You
should compete in something, because you would automatically win. Your size
is impressive, your definition is perfectly sculpted and you look better
than the photoshoped models on the cover of fitness magazines. Hell seeing
the two of you gives me a hard on."

Everyone else laughed while JW threw his hand to the ground and bit his
lower lip, "Give me a break, you don't need to patronize me. I know how
amazing Marcus is but I am nothing compared to him."

Katie slapped JW's leg and Marcus elbowed him hard, "You dumb ass, I am
going figure out a way to get you to realize how god damn hot you are."

Katie leaned in and looked at JW, "So you still have no confidence?"

JW shook his head and looked away, "As always, zero."

Kyle sat up in his chair and cleared his voice, "Well if you think Marcus
is perfect then you had to have been nervous the first time you went on a
date, so how did you end up on that date?"

JW nodded to Marcus who laughed, "I made all the moves."

Kyle rolled his eyes, "Well shit."

Katie shook her head, "No it was not that easy, that would have been
impossible. JW would have had to have done something to at least open the
door to you Marcus?"

Marcus told Katie about the first time in the locker room with JW and
walking out of the shower to see him with a raging hard on, JW started
laughing and hide his face again as Kyle and Katie laughed hard. Soon the
group shifted to telling various stories about JW; Katie talked about JW as
a child growing up to a teenager and Marcus talked about recent events with
JW. JW sat quietly some times smiling and other times frowning.

Marcus finally grabbed JW's hand and smiled at him, "The truth be told JW
is the entire package; strong, fiercely passionate, devoted, caring,
selfless, humble, modest and possibly most important. JW is physically
stunning and hot as hell!"

JW grinned and pulled his hand away from to look over his shoulder to see
Luke beating on the glass all to get JW's attention. JW stood up, walked
inside and held the door open as Luke staggered towards him and out the
open door. As JW sat down Luke walked around Marcus, looked around the
group with a blank stare, found JW and giggled as he walked to JW with his
arms out. JW smiled wide as he picked up and Luke and pulled him to his
chest.

Katie commented, "That's the JW that I have not seen a long time, you use
to be like that all the time beforeÉ"

Katie paused and then continued, "I am sorry, I am just happy to see you
happy. I will be honest and admit that I was really reluctant about coming
here because I know you are not happy with any of the family and after
finding out you are gayÉ WellÉ But after talking to mom and even dad
told me how good your doing now that I figured now was as good as any time
to try and apologize. I am so glad that you accepted us here because its
amazing seeing you two together and seeing your kids. This really is just
perfect." JW just smiled and nodded his head as he looked at Katie.

Marcus and Katie continued to swap stories about JW until JW said, "I would
like to go to the gym today, it only takes us an hour to workout and then
we can take the kids swimming afterwards. How does that sound?"

Everyone agreed and stood up to head inside to get ready and get the girls
up and going. It didn't take too long before they were on the road and
heading to the gym, they took two cars and headed inside.

While in the locker room Marcus laughed, "JW you didn't say your sister was
a hottie!"

JW laughed and quickly said, "Dude shut the fuck up."

Marcus looked over to Kyle, "So how did you two meet?"

Kyle laughed, "First time I saw Katie was in a gym. I had finished my
workout and was about to leave when I see this six foot blond beach goddess
walk in. I ended up staying and working out another forty minutes just so I
could accidentally bump into her at some point. And yes JW your sister is a
hottie, as Marcus says"

JW grumbled and walked out to the gym first. Before Kyle and Marcus walked
out to meet up with JW, Kyle stated, "I still can not believe the physical
shape that JW is in, I don't even know what to compare him to because I
have never seen anything like that."

Marcus nodded his head and coolly said, "JW would make a the Greek God's
jealous." Kyle laughed and walked out with Marcus.

JW, Marcus and Kyle walked back into the locker room after the workout and
Kyle was cursing under his breath, "Fuck both of you guys. I have never
been so tired from working out in my life. You are insane JW and I know you
cant keep up with him Marcus."

Marcus laughed, "Since I have started working out with JW I have gained
sixty five pounds on my bench alone, hell I have a good squat and hang
clean now thanks to everything JW has shown me the past few months."

Kyle still short of breath started to rub his shoulder, "I am going to be
so god damn sore tonight, I will not be able to move."

JW smiled and coolly said, "No, it wont be that bad, we are heading to the
pool now, I will get the kids from the day care and meet you guys out
there."

Kyle was surprised to watch JW strip down naked in front of him and said,
"I see someone finally found some confidence."

JW looked up to Kyle and turned to Kyle as he pulled on his swim trunks,
"What the hell are you talking about?"

Kyle shrugged, "Well this is the first time I have actually seen you
comfortable and holy shit you have a huge dick."

Marcus started laughing and stripped down to change into his trunks, Marcus
watched Kyle turn his head, look over his body and then roll his
eyes. Marcus joking asked, "What's up Kyle?"

Kyle was now blushing and quickly said, "Well you two are in a different
league."

JW looked at Kyle stupidly and walked out of the locker room with a tight
fitting tank top on to get his kids. Marcus pulled up his trunks and
intentionally watched Kyle change. Marcus though Kyle was a good looking
guy at least; six feet tall, short brown hair, a good build but definitely
needs to be in the gym more to work on his tone and definition.

Kyle turned to Marcus and flushed red with embarrassment, "I am not much
compared to you two."

Marcus shook his head, "Obviously I look at people but I never compare
people, I just do what I can what to make myself happy with how I look."
Kyle pulled on his trunks and walked out with Marcus into the pool area.

Kyle was surprised at how big the swimming pool area was and searched for
Katie and JW. Marcus spotted JW and pointed as Kyle followed him. Kyle
dived into the pool and swam up next to Katie. JW mostly played with his
girls in the deep end of the pool while Marcus took Luke and worked with
him for the next hour. Finally JW and the girls swam over to the adults.

Kyle asked, "I can not believe you worked out as hard as you did and then
just went and treaded water for over an hour!"

JW shrugged and nodded to the hot tub, "Don't know about you guys but I am
ready for that."

Everyone agreed and swam to the edge to climb out, Katie was kind of
shocked JW would allow Leah and Kira to watch Luke in the kiddy pool but
understood when she saw the hot tub was literally six feet away. JW sat so
he could watch the kids and everyone else climbed in and started to
relax. Kyle told Katie how tired he was going to be and that he never
worked out that hard in his life, Katie scolded him and said that he should
workout more.

The group joked and told stories, Marcus was glad to see JW finally settle
down and get comfortable with Katie and Kyle. Kyle started laughing and
Marcus looked at him quizzically, "What's up?" Kyle shook his head, "Ok I
have to ask after being in the locker room with you two. Who one of you is
the top? And which one of you is the bottom?"

Katie slapped Kyle, JW and Marcus looked at each other before JW said,
"Marcus is the top."

Katie looked at JW with a confused look, "Really? I would not have guessed
that."

Marcus started laughing, "Well we actually trade off, JW does fuck me, but
his dick is way to big to get fucked everyday."

JW spoke before he could stop himself, "Actually I prefer to bottom, I love
it." JW threw his hands over his mouth and was beat red with embarrassment.

Katie's mouth fell open, "JW! I cant believe you just said that. You of all
people?"

JW's smile faded, "I'm sorry."

Marcus frowned, "God damn it. He has nothing to be sorry for, first
offÉ"

Katie interrupted, "No I am just shocked, this is not my little brother I
know. But I think its fine and I am glad that you two are together, JW you
are finally happy and that's what is important to me." Marcus looked to JW
who relaxed and grinned as he dunked his head into the hot water.

Kyle stated, "Well I know I could not do that. You two have huge dicks, no
wonder your gay."

Katie looked to Kyle, "What does that mean?"

Marcus interjected, "He means that a woman would not like a long fat dick."

Katie grinned hard, "Well Kyle little do you know how amazing a great big
dick feels, you wouldn't know anything about that would you though."

Kyle blushed, "Ouch!"

JW interjected, "Ok just stop, this is getting really awkward now, so lets
change the subject."

Kyle agreed and Marcus looked at Katie and said, "No actually I think we
should talk about your guys penis's." JW rolled his eyes and watched Kyle
become and more uncomfortable with the conversation.

The conversation quickly turned to sex and to Marcus shock JW was very
active in the conversation. Soon Kyle was the one sitting quietly in the
corner of the hot tub and JW was poking fun at him. The conversation turned
to Marcus and JW's relationship and how people perceived them, Marcus
explained that they keep to themselves and the only real socializing they
have done is the one time at Shane's party. JW expressed that he really
does not care to be social and would like to just focus on raising his
kids, having a great relationship with Marcus and focus on his career.

Marcus nodded his head in agreement and stated, "You know I like to think
that JW and myself break every single stereotype of a gay male. We are not
typical men by any standard already, for the obvious physical reasons and
then we have the same shattered childhood with massive personal
achievements."

Katie watched JW grab Marcus leg under the water and JW turn to Marcus and
give a warm smile, she really did not know what to think the first time her
mother told her that JW was now with a guy, but the fact is JW looks happy
and works hard to not show his emotions for Marcus.

Kyle hinted that he was ready to leave and the group agreed, everyone
climbed out of the pool and made their way to locker room. As JW was
changing Marcus watched Kyle continue to glance at JW and realized that
Marcus had caught him, Kyle looked like the cat that swallowed the bird and
was very embarrassed. The guys finished changing cloths and met Katie and
the girls outside the locker room a few minutes later.

* * *

While Marcus cooked dinner on the grill on the patio occasionally adding to
the conversation JW and Kyle were having, Katie was spending time with the
girls inside.

Kyle asked, "JW I remember something about you playing for the top baseball
team here in the state and having a bicep injury that stopped your
career. But what about you Marcus?"

Marcus grinned, "I played division one basketball in California, but I got
burned out and seriously got tired of the bullshit."

Kyle looked to JW who was nodding his head and JW coolly said, "The
pressure the schools, coaches and patents put on athletes is just
ridiculous."

Kyle agreed and then asked, "Why don't you two do sports now? Join a league
or find another sport to play? I know a couple of guys like you two, well
not like you two, but anyways you guys are too competitive and are always
looking for something to sink your teeth into."

Marcus nodded to JW, "Well oddly enough we are talking about joining a gay
softball league. We both want to have some interaction outside of the daily
family and work routine. It will do two things for us, one feed that need
to compete that you pointed out and the second is maybe find more guys like
us."

Kyle joked, "I doubt that will happen, at first glance you two obviously
have something going on between you but you are by far the most non-gay gay
guys I have ever seen."

JW's head rolled back on his shoulders, "What is so obvious?"

Kyle thought about it for a second, "The way you look at each other, the
way you move around each other and of course you hold hands when you think
no one else is going to notice. I am proud that I have met you guys and you
have really opened my eyes up to what gay men represent. I hope you guys
can manage to find more gay guys like yourselves and if not then you two
can go around and show the world a different side of gay men."

* * *

Marcus looked at his phone and put it on the night stand, crawled into bed
and laughed, "Jesus it's two in the morning, you must be exhausted."

Marcus looked to JW who was laying on bed already with his eyes
closed. Marcus actually thought he was already asleep as he crawled into
bed but JW rolled over onto his side and opened his eyes, "You know I keep
thinking about joining a sports league. Its something I really want to do
and I really want it to be a gay league on top of that."

Marcus sighed, "Why don't you change real quick before you pass out and yes
I agree the more we talk about it the more I want to do it."

JW sighed and climbed out of bed and shed his shorts, tank top and
trunks. JW climbed into bed naked and pulled the sheets over him. JW
watched Marcus strip down and climb into bed next to him, "I want an honest
not biased answer here ok?"

Marcus furrowed his eyebrows, "Ok?"

JW asked, "Do you think if we do join lets say a gay basketball league that
I will be pushing the kids to hard? I do not know how to exactly to word
it, but do you know what I mean?"

Marcus nodded his head, "I truly believe that it will do nothing but good
things for the kids. I think it will help them accept me and you as a
couple by showing them that the world they live in has a lot of gay people
in it, who are not the stereotypical gay male."

JW smiled, "So you think I am over reacting?"

Marcus shook his head, "Not at all, in fact I think its important that we
have this conversation. But I also think its important that we show the
kids how unique we are. I take pride in the fact that we are not
flamboyant."

JW giggled and added, "If we wanted to fuck a chick we would!"

Marcus rolled his eyes, "Come on and stop deflecting. The effeminate gay
guys have just as hard of a time in this world as me and you."

JW sighed, "Well I don't care other gay men and let's get back on point
here. I am not forcing the fact by joining a gay sports league and forcing
our agenda onto the kids?"

Marcus shook his head, "No, I think it helps them in the long in two
different ways, first one is being it lets them ultimately be around more
gay men and two it breaks the stereotypical view that Americans have of gay
men. In fact another way to think of this is we have the possibility to
shed more positive light on the gay community. There is no way that people
will not take notice of us and maybe we can actually be a positive
influence not just for the gay community but also for how people view us
and more importantly how people will view the kids."

JW smiled, "You know it would be nice to know people look at us as men and
not just fags."

Marcus lightly slapped JW, "Don't use that fucking word. You say it all the
god damn time and I am sick of it."

JW joking rubbed where Marcus slapped his face, "Its true though, I cant
stand the label and its going to be hell on the kids if that's how we are
viewed."

Marcus continued to talk and heard JW snoring, Marcus looked at JW who was
passed out. Marcus turned the lights off and put his head on JW's shoulder,
in his sleep JW wrapped his arm around Marcus.
