Pocatello Boy Chapter 15

The next morning came early. Not on the clock but we were all worn out
from our previous evening.

When we all got around the table for breakfast. It was definitely
getting
to be like a family.

Tony spoke up and said, "If I could have a night even close to last night
every night for the rest of my life I would die in Heaven."

Joe said, "I see you fit into our group just great Tony."

"Yea," "Todd piped up. "IT was pretty awesome alright. I even got my
cherry
taken and it was so good."

Hey Mr. Todd, "You aren't the only one that had his cherry taken and I
could
do that every night for the rest of my life too." Said Cary.

Tony said, "Well I didn't get mine taken but I sure took one."

Joe spoke up and said, "You have a little way to go Tony before your
cherry
goes. We will start your stretching exercises tonight OK."

"You bet it's OK Joe I can hardly wait until I am ready to take a dick."

"Well right now Todd I want you to get your math book and you and I go in
the den and work for a while. You know Justin is coming to see me at
10:30 and we need to be finished with our little session before that OK."

"Yea, I guess so. After all that is what life is all about learning."
said Todd.

With that everyone got up and went to the kitchen and washed and put away
their own plates.

Todd went to his room and got his math study book and took it to the den
where
Joe was waiting. Joe said, "Here let me look at the book."

He took the book and asked him some questions. After the question and
answer
session it was decided he needed a little help on algebra and a lot of
help
on geometry. So Joe gave him a page of algebra problems to work and told
him
to ask questions if he didn't understand anything. Well a hundred
questions
later Todd thought he was getting the best of it. So Joe told him he
could
take the algebra prep test tomorrow morning and see how he could do.
That
ended session number 1.

Joe went into the kitchen and got a cup of coffee, putting in sugar and
cream,
and went into the living room. The boys were watching cartoons. Gosh
don't
they ever tire of cartoons. Joe looked at the clock and it was 10:30.
He
hoped Justin would show up he kinda liked the guy and after all he was a
living model, an Adonis. Just then the doorbell rang. Joe jumped up and
went
to answer it. It was Justin but he didn't look like a happy camper.
Come
on in Justin. "Would you like some coffee?"

"Uh No thanks Joe, I just need to talk is that OK."

"Thats what you came for, come on in hear in the den and we can have
privacy."

"Joe I don't know how to tell you this...he started tearing up."

"What's troubling you Justin."

"Well I... I...almost committed suicide last night. But, I thought about
you
and what you said and thought I would Wait until I could talk to you."

"Gosh Justin, that is pretty serious. What could be so bad in your young
life that you would consider suicide."

"Well when I tell you this you will probably reject me just like my
parents
did. That's why they moved to Maine. You see Joe...I don't want to say
this. I really am afraid to tell you this."

"It is OK Justin, no matter what you say I promise I won't hate you."

"Well it's just... I mean I .... well Joe I'm what the whole world hates.
Joe I'm a fag."

"First of all everyone in this house has agreed that we will never use
the words fag, fagot, lesbian, dike or any of the adjectives that some
of society uses to make people look bad or belittle them."

"You are not a fag Justin you are simply like millions of other people in
the world you are gay. There is no dishonor in being gay. It is not
like
you decided one day you were going to be hated and despised all your life
and be gay. It is something natural. Some people grow up liking the
same
sex and there is nothing wrong with that. Now let me tell you a little
about myself. I raised 4 children with my wife, who died of cancer,
right
here in this house. Now I am restoring it to a house of Joy where every
one can be themselves and be proud of it."

"Gosh Joe I'm really glad I waited now. I guess you are an understanding
person."

"Yes Justin and it just so happens that there are three of us that are
bi-sexual and one gay in this house right now. And we are all happy to
be the way we are. Now what I want to offer you is rent free help that
I have devoted the rest of my life to helping young people like yourself
get started in life and a career. If you agree I want you to put all
your things in your car or my van if necessary and move in today. It is
obvious you can not go on feeling the way you do. And after telling me
what you told me I would be afraid to have you be alone right now.
Will you agree to our help."

"Oh Yes Joe, God you make me so happy now I have tears in my eyes but
they
are tears of joy."

With that Joe got up and asked him to stand and gave him the biggest hug
he had given in a long time. The hug probably lasted two minutes. And
tears were flowing from both parties. Tears of happiness.

"Now Lets take my van and your car and get you moved OK."

"Oh Joe you have made me so happy. I don't know what to say except thank
you so much."

Joe lead him back into the living room and said, "BOYS we've got a job
to do. Justin is moving in with us this morning and We need your help
to get his stuff over here.

There were a lot of whoopees and happy comments and the boys were all
headed for the van.

Joe backed the van out and told Justin to lead the way in his car.
Joe asked him the address in case we got lost behind him.

We followed him to a small apartment complex. It had bachelors
apartments and one
bedroom apartments. His of course was a small bachelors apartment. It
was no wonder
he was down any normal person would be down living in this dump.

He got out of his car and said, "My apartment is down here on the end."
I might add
of a dark hallway.

As we entered the only window faced a brick building close up. There was
barley
any light coming through it as it was blocked by the brick building. He
had
to turn on the over head light, a bare bulb hanging from the ceiling, for
us
to be able to see.

He wasn't too bad a house keeper as the place was at least straight and
his clothes
were put away. I said, "Are we gonna need boxes Justin."

He said, "No Joe I really don't have that much."

He pulled out some clothes from one drawer and said that was it except
for two
towels in the bathroom. He also put his toothbrush and shaving gear in a
pillow case and any other small object he had in the kitchen or bathroom.
"Wow, 5 minutes and we were loading it into his trunk." I couldn't
believe
that is all he had. He said the apartment was furnished so nothing
belonged
to him.

So we were once again on our way back to the house. I opened the garage
and
got out and told Justin to back his car into the garage to make unloading
his trunk easier. He was through in 2 minutes and wondering where to
put
things. "Justin you can have either of the empty bedrooms upstairs." Todd
had one and Tony had one leaving the two middle ones open. Naturally, he
chose the bigger of the two which was next to Todd's bedroom.

I told him to move his car so I could put my car away and then he could
put
away what little he had.

After the car switch and Justin was finished I called for a family
meeting.
"Boys I can't tell you how happy you make me just by being here. My life
is certainly far from lonely anymore. Now just a few things I want to
cover
which some of you already know. First there will be no usage of fowl
language
as like I told you you only have to offend one person and it shouldn't
have
been said. Second, there will be no use of words that put people down
such
as fag, fagot, lesbian, dike, nigger etc. These words will not be
tolerated
and will probably cost you restriction to your room for a few days. Is
that
understood?"

They all nodded approval smiling.

"Third everyone is responsible for his own dish after eating. Clean it
and put
it away after you dry it of course. Fourth, the pool is to be used only
by
two or more people at a time. Absolutely NO swimming alone. The same
thing
goes for the hot tub. When you set the timer to start it operating abide
by
the 15 minute rule. When the bell goes off and the water stops swirling
it is time to get out. And again I want to mention NO one is to EVER use
the hot tub alone. One thing I may have never mentioned for common
courtesy
please let someone know if you leave the premises and where you are
going.
Also approximately when you plan on returning. That way none of us will
have to worry about another. We have become quite a tight group and I
also
want to reiterate that what goes on in this house stays in this house and
is not talked about outside these walls. Most of you know this is for
o bvious reasons."

"Now let me introduce our newest member formally. Justin is very welcome
here. Like Tony he his gay. I have told him the rest of us are
bi-sexual
and that we just don't talk about it to anyone. It just isn't necessary.
Like most of you Justin is without parents in the local vicinity they
moved
to Maine so he is in the same boat so to speak as all of you. We have
one
more vacant bedroom so if you see anyone you know that needs help please
tell me so that I can decide whether he might fit in with our group."

"Any Questions?"

No questions were brought up so Joe told them to all get dressed up nice
and we would go out to eat lunch as it was getting to be close to 1pm
and he was sure everyone would be hungry by now.

It didn't take very long for them all to be dressed properly. Of course
Tony and Justin had to wear what they had which wasn't much.

They all went to the same restaurant and were waited on by the same nice
waitress. "My Joe your family is growing every time you come in."

Joe laughed and said, "Yes, and it won't be long before we fill the last
bedroom and have one more."

"Gee Joe are you running a boarding house now?"

"No as a matter of fact I am only taking in boys that have no other place
to go and no chance of getting further training toward a career unless
someone helps them. I have the time and money to do just that."

"Wow Joe, that is so admirable of you."

"Thanks but I am not doing it to look good these boys really need my
help."

"OH MY, well let me take your orders. Have you decided on what you want
yet?"

It didn't take long before everyone ordered as they were really hungry.
The waitress left to go and get the food started.

When the food came of course it looked like 4 starving boys trying to get
everything down in one bite. Joe said, "Boys we are in public remember
your
table manners and slow down."

They all did as Joe had asked and finally finished their meal.

Joe left another $5 tip and went to the cash register and paid the bill.

Next they all climbed back into the van and Joe headed for the Mall. Todd
spoke up and said, "What are we going to do at the mall Joe?"

Joe said, "Well you know we have two new members of the family that
haven't
been outfitted yet with their new clothes."

"OH Yea." Todd said.

"Now come on boys and follow me." Joe lead them right back to Ross Dept.
Store.

"Now Cary I want you to take Tony, measure him for waist and inseam, and
then help him pick out exactly the amount of each piece of clothing that
you got. You will need a cart of course."

Then Joe turned to Todd and said, "Todd I want you to do the same thing
to help Justin. Grab a cart and get busy. I'm gonna walk around the
mall for a while as it will take you guys 30 to 40 minutes to finish.
Then I will come back and pay the bill and we will load everything in
the van and go home."

"OK Joe, Gee that gives me a lot of responsibility."

"I trust you can handle ti Todd or I would do it myself."

With that Joe walked away and out into the mall. He just window shopped
and people watched. He sat on a bench for a while and watched the nice
guy asses ass they walked by. After half an hour he headed back for
Ross' Dept. Store to pay the bill if they were through.

When he got there he saw they weren't quite through. Justin was smiling
as he picked out two ties. Joe just went to a chair and waited. It
wasn't much longer than they were all through.

They all came to Joe, baskets full, and then followed Joe to the cash
register.
The guy behind the cash register was the same guy that checked them out
last
time. He said, "Gee if you keep this up we will have to restock the
store."
Then he laughed.

"Joe said, "Yea this should be it for at least a little while."

Joe paid the bill which he could have guess the amount of because of the
previous
shopping they had done and they headed for the van.

When they got home Joe pulled the van in the driveway and parked it,
opening
the door for easy entrance to the house through the garage. He told them
to
take their new clothes and hang them up or put them in their chest of
drawers
and then return to the living room. With that he pulled the van in the
garage
and parked it getting out himself and going in.

About twenty minutes later they were all collapsed in the living room
tired
out from the shopping.

Cary said, "It is sure good to have you with us Justin. I'm glad you
were
the pizza boy."

Joe told Justin he wanted to talk to him in private and they went in the
den
and shut the door. The boys just turned on the TV and watched what was
on.

"Justin I wanted to ask you just what is it you would like to do in
life."

"Well Joe what I wanted to do is now impossible with my parents pulling
out
on me. I did want to be a veterinarian."

"Have you finished high school and gotten a diploma Justin?"

"Yes Joe, I graduated in the top 5% of my class. I am a good student."

"OK then it's a veterinarian you will be. I will take care of your
tuition
and books etc and give you a place to live. I just ask that you go to
a local college so that you can stay here with us."

"OH GOD Joe! That is so awesome. You must have some angel built into
you."

With that Joe found himself being hugged so hard he could hardly breathe.
Joe of course hugged back and now there were those tears of joy flowing
again from the two of them. Joe was so happy for him and he was so happy
for himself.

"Gosh Joe, I hate to think of what I might have done to myself last night
if I hadn't delivered your pizza and had the talk with you."

"Well the best thing is to never think of that again. You will never
again
be in need for anything, at least as long as you stick with us."

"I wouldn't think of leaving here Joe for anything."

"OK Justin now we need to direct our thinking to college. I need to take
Todd into see Betty next week on the 2nd to take his math GED over and
I will make an appointment for her to see you at the same time and line
up what courses you need to start out with. I want you to give 2 weeks
notice tonight to your manager as you will not need to work anymore."

"Oh I will, I will. I been wishing I could get away from that place."

"Let's go back in the living room now that we have had our talk Doctor."

"Justin just beamed. Joe had never seen a happier boy and it made him
feel all good inside just knowing he was able to give this boy his
dream."

When they got back in the living room Cary spoke up and said, "God Justin
you look like the cat that just swallowed the canary."

"Well I guess you could put it that way Cary, Joe is going to help me go
to college and be a veterinarian. I guess that is enough to smile
about."

"Wow! That is so awesome Justin," Cary said.

Tony said, "Joe why don't you give Justin one of your famous back rubs
like you did all of us."

Joe said, "That would be up to Justin not me."

Justin said, "I accept, I love back rubs."

Joe said, "OK then let's head for my bedroom." "And Justin followed him
out
of the room.

Of course the rest of the boys were smirking and looking at each other.
