03 - HOUARI

"Jean Luc, have you heard?" Philippe the shift leader said to him, "Your
idol will be staying at our hotel during his May Concerts!"

"Here? ... Patrick Dupuis?" the boy asked, widening his eyes.

"Yes, him... Here... in the Victor Hugo's Suite. They booked the entire
second floor."

"You'll put me there on my shift, wont you? Please?"

"Well... we'll see..."

"Please! Oh God, to see him so close... to serve him... Please, please,
please!"

"It's still three months to May, and I only decide the shifts in April."

"Please, put me there! Listen, I give up all the leaves you decide. You
can put me on service when and where you like best. I'll do all the over
time you ask me, but during those days, please, put me on the second
floor!"

"Are you ready to give up your August vacation?"

"Yes. I'll have my vacation when you decide..."

"I'll think about it..."

Jan Luc was excited. Patrick here, in the hotel! He would see him, and
who knows, possibly even talk to him...

"Mister Dupuis, I am your greatest admirer..."

"Oh. Thank you, but, call me Patrick. We're almost the same age. What's
your name?"

"Jean Luc. I have an album with all your pictures. And even your
autograph... And all your CD's."

"Yes, let's call each other us by first names, Jean Luc... I like you."

"I can really call you by your first name?"

"Sure, I'm not even two years older than you. Would you help me pull out
my clothes?"

Jean Luc was daydreaming. Another scene:

"Did you call, Sir?"

"Yes, waiter. I am really tired, but cannot relax. Would you give me a
good massage?"

"With great pleasure, Sir!" (for him he was ready to violate his golden
rule.)

"Ah! You are really skilled... go on, that way... every where... there
also... So, good... Listen, I will hire you as my personal masseur. And
as my lover, between one girlfriend and the next..."

Unlikely daydreams. But, oh, so sweet.

No, surely Patrick wouldn't even notice him, he was just one of many
waiters. But at least he would see him and be able look at him close up,
away from the crowds that were at the concerts.

"Jean Luc! This is the third time I called you! Where was your head?
Abroad somewhere?" Georges, the other waiter on the floor, said him.

"Eh? No, sorry. I was in the Victor Hugo's suite..."

"Ah, do you like that little German woman? Yes, she's not bad, but she
is much too standoffish. Just because she is the daughter of the German
Health Minister, she thinks she is Princess Diana!"

"What did you want?"

"I have to go down to the manager's office for a moment. Can you please
answer any calls in my half of the corridor?"

"Yes, but hurry. If Philippe passes here and doesn't find you, you know
he'll be furious."

"Philippe was just summoned by the director. He will be busy for a
while. Anyway, no more than 20 minutes ... okay?"

"All right. But if you can, do it in less than 15..."

He looked at Georges disappearing into the elevator. Even for one floor
Georges never used the stairs.

His colleague lived with an Algerian girl and her handicapped brother.
She was really a sweet girl. He visited them at their home a couple of
times. Her brother lost the use of his legs in a building yard accident.
He was just eighteen. He was a sad boy. He played the guitar with a
pining sadness. Jean Luc felt incredibly attracted to the boy. He would
have liked to make love to him and bring a smile back to his lips. He
didn't think the boy was gay, but, if he was, Jean Luc really would have
enjoyed loving him.

Jean Luc wasn't attracted to Georges physically. He was a very likeable
man and very good-hearted. At few times they went to a movie together.
Georges always brought his woman's brother, his brother-in- law, as he
called him, with him. He lifted him up, wheel chair and all, over the
few stairs into the hall. It was evident how much Georges cared for the
boy.

When his colleague returned, Jean Luc told him, "Do you know, I was
thinking about your... brother-in-law."

Georges lit up, "About Houari? He is a dear boy..."

"He is always so sad..."

"Right. You know, he hasn't collected himself after the accident yet, he
wasn't that way before."

"But... can he have a sex life in his condition?"

"Unhappily not, of course."

"How does he manage?"

"Well... he beats off, I assume. We've never discussed that... We tried
leaving him alone with some girls, you know... One of them even had a
crush on him... but nothing ... as far as I know."

Jean Luc hesitated, then dared: "But if... if he prefers boys instead?"

Georges looked at him, amazed. Jean Luc bit his tongue. Georges replied,
"I never thought about that possibility... Now that I think about it,
even before the accident he didn't have a girlfriend... Well this
doesn't mean... Oh shit! I have to talk about that with Aline."

"If that was the way it was... do you think that..."

"Bah, if you're right, so what! He has a right to his own life, doesn't
he? I think Aline will agree. My God, I really didn't think about that
possibility. It would be easier to find him a girl than a boy, but...
but it will not be impossible."

"Would you do that?"

"Sure, my poor Houari!"

A room rang for service and Georges went to see what was needed.

"Right," Jean Luc thought, "a handicapped gay must have twice, thrice
the difficulty of any gay able to look after himself." Jean Luc, for
instance, could go out, move about and look for a companion, or for an
adventure. In secret, true, but he could. Jean Luc tried to guess how
life would be at the side of the young Arabian boy... Yes, he would have
done it. At least he would have tried living with Houari... and not only
because he was such a good looking boy. He didn't think it would be a
burden living with him. But, would the boy feel like a burden depending
on someone else? In reality, he depended completely on Georges and Aline
now. Even without the use of his legs, there wouldn't be much of a great
problems in bed... It was possible to make love all the same, and in a
most satisfying way. Who knows how bad the boy's legs were? His trousers
hid all. Jean Luc didn't have any idea. Houari had been in his wheel
chair for a year now and was alone all day at home while Georges and
Aline were at work... it must be difficult. What did he do for hours and
hours? Did he look at TV? Did he read? Did he play his guitar? Did he
masturbate? Maybe a little of each...

God, how beautiful that boy was! Poor little bird with his broken wings.
Possibly the sadness in his face made him even more beautiful.

Jean Luc thought that he should see the boy more often. Not only because
of the possibility that he might be gay, but to offer him friendship and
human warmth. He didn't always work the same shifts as Georges, so he
could go and keep him company. Yes, he would do that more than
willingly. He decided to talk it over with his colleague, but he was
called away and forgot about it for that day.

The following week, it was Georges who bought up the subject of Houari.
"I did talk with Aline, you know... about the possibility that my
brother-in-law could be gay. She says that it could be, but that she has
no idea, but that we cannot just ask him... we would offend him. We
don't know what to do..."

"I... I was thinking, a few days ago... besides if he is gay or not... I
can keep him company some times, especially when our shifts are
different. At least, he would feel less lonely..."

"Oh, it would be a splendid thing. And he likes you. I think he would
really enjoy that!"

"Really? Does he really like me?"

"Yes, he said so, probably because he enjoys Patrick Dupuis and his
songs too."

"Right. So then, you can tell your brother-in-law that, if he wants..."

Jean Luc went almost every day to spend some hours with the young
Algerian.

They became friends. Often, even if not always, they were alone. When
they were alone, Jean Luc started to discretely sound the boy out. So
discretely in fact that after a month he still hadn't reached any
conclusions.

But one morning, while they were listening to Patrick's songs, Houari
murmured, "Listening to these words, makes me think that Patrick is
singing about the love between two boys -- between two men."

Jean Luc looked at him in surprise, and asked him, "You think so? I
never thought so..."

"Here, read the words:

your secret friendship
that the world don't want understand...
you rich... (you see, is masculine)
you poor... (this also, masculine),
you blond,
you black... (all masculine, again!)

And then, read here:

Your strength
is your gentleness
that you give each other at full hands
that you share with open heart...

I agree, the title is 'Friendship' but... And then, there is such
sadness..."

"Then, do you think that Patrick is gay?"

"No, I don't mean that... But he always sings about free love, about
'any kind of love'. He always has a counter-current, like in the song
'Le viellot et la fillette', you know it, right? So, I would not be
surprised if he also sings about a gay love."

"Do you also think that two men could love each other, I mean, not just
have sex?"

"Sure! Don't you?" Houari answered, suddenly animated.

"Yes, I think so, too. I just wanted to know what your thoughts were. I
believe that two men can love each other, and that their love can be
wonderful."

They became silent.

Then Houari asked him: "Did you ever love a man?"

Jan Luc's heart missed a beat, then started to beat a hundred miles an
hour. "Just once... years ago..."

"Did I disturb you with that question?"

"No, Houari. We're friends, right?"

"Yes. I also loved a man, did you know that? But he wasn't interested in
me. That is, he... he wanted just to fuck me, there, in the building
yard. In the end, I said, 'Enough!' I... I wanted love, not just sex. I
told him I didn't want to do it with him, any more just a few weeks
before my accident. No, he has nothing to do with my accident. You know,
you are the first person I ever told these things. He was married. He
just wanted to amuse himself with me. A Tunisian, beautiful as the sun.
I am gay, Jean Luc. I always have been. But, you're the first one to
whom I have confessed that because I hope you will not judge me, refuse
m my friendship..."

"Houari... I am gay too. And I... I like you very much. I would like
making love to you so much, if that is what you desire too. To make
love, not just to... fuck... and possibly become even more than just
friends..." Jean Luc said, his eyes shining with emotion.

Houari caressed his cheek: "I never guessed you were like me. Thank you
telling me, I feel less lonely, at least. And thank you for your... love
offer. But I..."

"It doesn't matter at all that you are in a wheel chair!" Jean Luc
hastily said.

The young Algerian smiled gently: "Thank you, but it that isn't the
problem. I am attracted only by mature men, well over thirty... like
Georges, even if he is not my physical ideal. Therefore... I thank you.
You are very dear, but..."

"You can find men to love you and take care of you."

"And how? Before, yes, I thought it possible, but now..."

"Why don't you tell Georges and Aline? They'll help you, I'm sure."

"Them? No, they will not understand. Straight people never understand.
They will just think that I am doubly wretched..."

"But they love you. You know it."

"Yes, I know it. And that's why I don't want to lose their love."

"I would try. It could be worth it, believe me..."

"No..."

Jean Luc wanted to tell him about his conversation with George, but he
lacked the courage. The boy could be annoyed that they had talked behind
his back. He would think that Jean Luc's friendship was because he hoped
to fuck him... He would... So Jean Luc decided that it was better to
talk with Georges again.

"What are you thinking?" Houari asked him, lightly touching his hand.

"That I would have loved being more than thirty, to have hoped to become
your lover..."

The boy smiled: "You are so sweet, Jean Luc. Thank you. It was good to
be able to talk to you with an open heart, and to know that I can be
liked by somebody, even in my condition... And not just with pity or
sympathy."

Jean Luc talked with Georges. His colleague thanked him for
understanding. By the way Georges looked at him, Jean Luc understood
that the man was asking himself if Jean Luc was gay too. But his
colleague didn't ask him.

"Well, looking for a boy would have been easier than looking for a
mature man. I'm afraid we're back to start again..."

"Georges, there is a gay magazine, isn't there?"

"Gay Pied? Yes, so?"

"It might be possible to put an ad in it... without telling about
Houari. Then meet whoever answers to see if they are a trustworthy type
or not .. a good man, and if so, he could meet with Houari, on some
pretext..."

"You're full of ideas, Jean Luc. But I... I think I would be terribly
embarrassed."

"If you want, I can try, for Houari..."

"Would you do that?"

"Yes. I am really growing fond of the boy."

"Doesn't it bother you? It could be embarrassing, don't you think?"

"But it could also be interesting..." Jean Luc lightly answered.

Again, Georges looked at him with a slightly inquisitive look, but again
said nothing.

So, Jean Luc placed the ad: "18 y. o. boy, paralyzed legs, seeks a man
over 30, for serious, lasting friendship, and more. Paris area only"

Letters started to arrive. Most of them were thrown away, written by
graphomaniacs, depraved people, old men, or boys too young. He started
to make some appointments at a café in the Rue de Rivoli. He discarded
several others, including one that wanted at any price to have sex with
him... but in the end he found two really likeable men - Marc, 32 years
old, and Charles, 30. Marc was an assistant in a furniture super-market,
and Charles was a French teacher in a night school for adults - mainly
immigrants. Besides being very handsome men, and not having any problem
with Houari being Algerian, they both were intelligent, positive,
likeable men, and, though in different words, they both said: "I can see
at least if there can be a real friendship with this boy, that could
lead to something more intimate, and if love can flourish..."

This convinced Jean Luc. So, again he talked with Georges. They agreed
that Jan Luc would introduce them to the boy, of course without telling
him about the ad, because they were afraid that Houari would feel bad
about that. One day when he was sure he and Houari would be alone. Jean
Luc went to his place.

"So, then, how are you?"

"As always..." the boy answered with a smile.

"I have news for you. I met a man at the disco, 32 years old and very
handsome... but he is too old for me. So, I thought about you and told
him about you. He would like to meet you... He is really a great guy,
his name is Marc and he's a shop assistant..."

"What? Did you start to cruise on my behalf?" Houari asked him laughing
with amusement.

"Well, yes. Why? Does that bother you?"

"Not at all, but the idea is crazy! Thank you anyway. You say he wants
to meet me? Really?"

"Sure. And he seems to me to be a great guy. Besides, I think he is
beautiful, but I don't know if he is your type... Do you feel like
meeting him?"

"When?"

"Sunday morning, I presume. We're both free, and I can bring him here,
to meet you."

"Why not." Houari merrily said.

A few days later in the same manner, Jean Luc spoke to him about
Charles. So, one after the other, he took them both to meet Houari.

Next time the boy were alone, Houari said, with shining eyes, "They both
are so likeable... I already have met with Marc three times and four
with Charles. And... I also made love with both of them! It has been so
good, thanks to you, Jean Luc."

"Hey, Adonis! Don't tell me now that you got two lovers!"

"No... for the moment we are just friends." the boy said, laughing.

"Which one do you like best?"

"I don't know. Marc has a beautiful body, and also makes love a little
better. But for gentleness and personality, Charles fascinates me. Both
are splendid. Which one do you like best?"

"In bed, or for their body? I don't know -- I didn't try them
beforehand, and saw neither of them naked. As for the rest... Marc has a
very sensual way of looking and talking to you. Charles, as you say, is
a really sweet man..."

"Aline prefers Marc. Georges likes Charles better."

"Did you tell them?"

"No, but I feel they understood. When they came to see me and we are
alone in my room, not one of them came to see us until we came out. And
that's rather unusual..."

"Don't tell me that you had sex when they were at home!"

"With Marc, necessarily so, when he's off work, Aline is still at home.
Marc desired me so much, and I him, so... Anyway, we locked the door..."

"You are a little pervert!" Jean Luc said jokingly.

"Yes, thanks to you!" the boy said and, pulled his friend to him, kissed
him on his mouth. Jean Luc quivered, and Houari murmured, "Even if...
you are not really my type, Jean Luc, if you want to have sex with me
once... I feel your desire..."

"Yes, it is true, I desire you. But we don't need to, my little one, we
don't need to."

"No, we don't need, but..."

"And then, I'm not your type."

"Well it is just that you are too young for me. But you are very
handsome..."

"Thank you. But let's just remain good friends. It's better."

"As you like. But I would have willingly made an exception with you... I
love you."

"I love you too."

"So then... let's just be brothers?"

"Yes, but forever."

Houari was flourishing again and Georges and Aline were happy. The boy
decided to begin studying again, helped by Charles. Little by little he
became more and more affectionate with Charles, so that with Marc it
turned into a nice friendship, but without physical intercourse. Also,
Charles was more and more fascinated by the boy. So, finally, Houari
found the courage to tell his sister and George all about his sexuality,
and also about his relationship with Charles, and was pleasurably
surprised when they both embraced him and told him that they were happy
for him and with him...

April came, and Philippe put Jean Luc on shift at the Victor Hugo's
Suite floor for all the days the singer would be there. Jean Luc was in
seventh heaven. That same evening, at the disco, he met Marc.

"Hey, Jean Luc, it's a while since we've meet. How is Houari?"

"Fine, thanks. But, don't you see him any more?"

"Yes, sure, once in awhile we meet again. But he's with Charles. He
doesn't want to have sex with me any more, so..."

"Yes, he told me. Are you sorry?"

"Well... no. I liked it very much with Houari... and, I don't mean just
in bed. But, frankly, I feel he is better with Charles, I think they are
fit for each other. With him it was fine, I really enjoyed making love
with him... Anyway, we're still good friends, really."

"In bed... didn't the fact that he couldn't use his legs give you any
problem ?"

"No, absolutely not. I almost forgot it. He is very hot, that boy. I
always liked the north-African boys, but in bed they usually are still
like mummies, or they are so aggressive, almost ferocious... Houari is
the hot kind, but he is gentle and sweet. I really liked him. But... you
too must be not bad at all, in bed..."

"Do you think so? What makes you say that?"

"Well.... sensations. I would like to verify if I'm wrong or not."

"Is that a proposal?"

"Yes, Jean Luc. Why don't you come to my place, tonight?"

"It seems enticing... Do you live alone?"

"Sure. It is small but... very comfortable, especially my bed."

"Of course, especially since you work in a furniture super-market..."
Jean Luc smiled.

The bed was covered by a very soft, white thick fur. They undressed
almost urgently and Jean Luc sat in the center of the wide bed waiting
for the man. When naked, Marc turned around and stood on the bed and
approached Jean Luc's face with his beautiful erect rod pointing
straight towards Jean Luc's lips.

Jean Luc widened his eyes: "Holy shit, what a cudgel!"

"Do you like it?"

"Very much!"

Marc put his hands on the boy's head and pulled. "Take it in your mouth,
go on... prepare it nicely, so I can put it all in your other end..."
the man said, full of excitement.

As big and long as it was he could only fit half of it inside the boy's
mouth.

Jean Luc sucked with real pleasure, and after a while moved himself into
position offering his little ass to the man. Mark impaled him with
vigorous passion. In a few skilled strokes he was completely inside the
boy's love channel.

"Wow! How could the little Houari take such a cudgel?" the boy murmured
as he enjoyed the incredible penetration.

"Little Houari was really tight, but... he also was very skilled. You,
Jean Luc, are delicious too!" the man replied as he started to pump deep
inside Jean Luc.

The boy's entire body was shaken by the powerful strokes. Jean Luc
closed his eyes and fancied that it was Patrick who was over him fucking
and taking him. Marc was very different physically from the singer, but
the fantasy worked and the boy was even more excited than before. It was
a long, powerful ride, and they enjoyed each other thoroughly.

After, while Marc was preparing a light meal, Jean Luc looked at a
Cadinot's video. It was the first time he ever watched a gay porno and
he was soon aroused again. They ate lying on the bed beside one another
watching the movie. Then Marc put away the dishes, put a new Cadinot's
video on the deck and they started to make again love with renewed
desire. That night, they slept very little.

When he was on shift the following day, Jean Luc met Georges during
lunch break.

The man came over and sat by him.

"Hi, how's it going?"

"Fine, Jean Luc. And with you?"

"Very fine. And with your Houari?"

"He's fine, too. Charles is his good luck charm. He has transformed him.
He gave us back our boy... even if he will take him away from us
soon..."

"How? What do you mean, 'Take him away?'"

"I think that they are planning to go to live at Charles's place quite
soon."

"Ah, I see. And... you and Aline, what do you think?"

"When he told us, we advised him to wait, to think it over well. But if
they both really wanted that, why not? We like Charles. Anyway, we are
also grateful to you for what you did for Houari. You really are as
Houari says and calls you, a brother to him. You will come to the party
we are giving for his nineteenth birthday, wont you?"

"Sure. When is it?"

"May the 29th."

"I'll make note of it. I'll be there."

"Jean Luc, I hope you will not be upset with me, but... can I ask you a
rather... personal question?"

Jean Luc looked at him and guessed what he had in mind. "What do you
want to know, Georges?"

"Nothing will change for me, but... are you gay?"

"Yes."

"That's why you understood Houari."

"No, I didn't think that at all, seeing him. I just guessed the
possibility the day we had that talk."

"Yes, I see. Anyway, it is why you guessed he could be and how you
managed to make him open to you..."

"Yes, that's possible."

Georges nodded, then said: "Well, I am really lucky among all my other
colleagues to have brought you to my home... From the first time we met
here at the hotel I liked you very much..."

"I don't know if everybody here would react as you do. That's why I
always try not to show it..." Jean Luc said, somewhat discreetly
inviting his colleague not to divulge his sexuality.

Georges nodded: "You're right... look at Francois... he always gets a
little smile or a silly joke, and possibly he's not even gay. He just
seems to be. People can be mean and we don't have freedom of sexual
parity in France yet, in spite of all the talking they're doing. As for
me, Jean Luc, I thought very highly of you before I knew it, and now,
you are even more special than before. You have... compassion towards
everybody. I would like to see your chart - I bet you are what in
astrology is called the universal brother. You... well, try to
understand in the right way what I'm trying to tell you, but you are
able to love everybody as if he was your real lover..."

"Do you think so? Maybe that's why, then, I haven't yet managed to have
a real lover?" Jean Luc answered, a little bitterly, a little jokingly.

"Is that true?"

"If I am the lover of everybody, perhaps I can't be the lover of just
one man... even if I feel that need..."

"No! You simply are young, and you haven't yet find the right person.
When you do find him, believe me, happy will be that man..."
