The following is a pure work of fiction and is the property of the author.
If you are looking to get off quick, read something else. This story is
presented in serial form and you'll read a lot of background, before you
get any mindblowing sex scenes.
If you are bothered by same sex relationships, read no farther. This is a
story about the interaction of males with each other in a fanciful setting.
It's a story with some sex, not sex with some story. Thanks to those who
are encouraging me to continue with the presentation of this series.
Hope that you continue to enjoy. LJB
To Fulfill a Prophesy
Section 13
Ted - Wednesday evening
It has been a good day. All the "boys" are settling into the `castle'
quite well and it was a lot of fun spending the whole day with the younger
ones. It amazes me, how active they are, even with Davey's arm in a cast.
Everything they saw was a new experience and it made me appreciate things,
I have come to take for granted. The pool was a big hit, but I think,
visiting the horses at the stables won the blue ribbon.
Our preparations appear to be falling into place. The sudden arrival of
the boys, did not take us by complete surprise. Chen has been pretty
accurate with his projections, so far. Dean has accepted the body guards
without nearly the objections and resistance, I had expected to encounter.
Having the boys here now, proved to be the clincher in his agreeing and
avoided, having to wait until Jamie arrives. I feel guilty I have not been
able to tell him the real reason they were necessary. It took me a long
time, to find Dale and Jason, but they are worth the wait. And Anson was
pure luck. They will become `family' to all of us, without any of them
realizing, how they were matched to one another. Jason and Dale will never
know, their meeting and getting together, after they were discharged from
military duty, was no accident.
I've had Digger Bailey tucked away, for some time. Jamie going to private
school, was another bit of luck that couldn't have been planned. It
brought him into the equation, far easier than I had anticipated. The
biggest boost, has been Dean coming out of his depression and facing the
past. It has put him well on the way to returning to being the man I know
and love. Seeing him back to his old self, is such a relief, for both me
and Chen. Dean actually went and greeted people in the cafeteria today.
He hasn't even eaten there for over three years and he acted like he was
just there yesterday. I know that the staff were really pleased to see him
being the man they remember knowing.
Davey, has really thrown a wrench into this for me, personally. Only four
days and I love the little imp, just like he was my own. I went ahead and
told Dean, I wanted to adopt him, but I don't know how quickly things will
move along. Nothing can happen, until the `Fathers' are established, so we
should have some time, for everything to work out. At least I know, Dean
will be here for him, if things go wrong. I know, he will never let
anything happen to Davey, if only because he knows, how important the boy
is to me, much less the role he is destined to play. Dean is really
anxious to expand our intimacy. It seems cruel, for me to do so and then
possibly, have it end suddenly, but I love him so very much even a short
time with him will be better for both of us, than never sharing what we
have at all.
I have been really surprised by Davey and Denny. It is astounding that two
little boys, from such destructive backgrounds, can be such wonderful
individuals. When you think of what they have each been through, it's a
wonder, they don't hate everything and everybody. Instead, they
understandably absorb the attention they get, but give back love, just as
fast as they get it. They are both survivors, but there is something
really special about Davey. I had noted it, even before Chen mentioned it
to me. I guess it's only to be expected, given who he and Jamie are going
to be. He can be so intuitive and mature and yet, he can still retain that
wonder and awe, experienced by a young boy. The joy he had today, from
just being in the swimming pool and sharing the experience with the three
of us was palpable. He walked around his room later and touched everything
in the room, as though he was greeting it and memorizing every detail.
Chen says, Davey has a very old spirit, a sage and teacher. He is very
impressed by him and it takes a lot to impress Chen. He is sure, Davey is
one, of those we have been expecting. Knowing that Jamie will also be one,
we now wonder how and when the other two will appear.
Denny on the other hand is a little boy, who has been terrorized by a sick
bastard. He needs security and love and he has found both, with Davey and
with us. I expect, as he is helped to face the fears that have been forced
on him, he will be able to resume his normal childhood and develop to his
full potential. He took a step today, when he decided to swim nude in the
pool with the rest of us. It was a problem for him, but he overcame the
fear, put his trust in all of us and really had a fun time. When we had
finished, there was no concern in him while we were all drying and dressing
together. I don't know, if he has a role in the prophesy, or if he is just
an element of fate. From what we understand, he is far too young to be a
Guardian. Jamie and Davey are teenagers, Denny is just eight.
Dinner at the `castle' is always in the Formal Dining Room for the
`family', although, we only dress up for guests and special occasions.
Tonight, our new `family' met together, to have dinner for the first time.
Dean sat at the head of the table and I sat to his right, with Davey and
Denny on either side of me. Anson, Jason and Dale sat to his left. This
will be the seating arrangement until Jamie arrives. The staff served
dinner and the young boys and maybe even the older ones, were very
impressed. Mr. Chen presided over the dining room, seeing that everything
ran smoothly. He never really moved from his position, standing by the
buffet, but occasionally, he would make a quiet comment to one of the
servers and someone would then adjust something or some additional item
would quickly appear. This is just the way it has always been.
Mr. Chen always set the menu and normally he would check it, with Dean or
with me, if Dean was not available. He knows this is not necessary, as we
almost always defer to his choices. This afternoon he had bypassed us and
consulted with Davey and Denny. The result was the spaghetti and meat ball
dinner we had tonight. Everyone enjoyed it and there were big bibs to wear
while we ate. Dean commented that the boys were to be consulted on a
regular basis. They were both very pleased with themselves and the
attention they had earned.
After dinner, we all went into the Games Room. Dean, Dale, Jason and I
played some gin rummy while Anson spent some time with Davey and Denny,
playing some board games and then just watching TV. At 9:00 p.m. I took
Denny up to bed. He had a shower after our swim this afternoon, so he
didn't need another one. I stayed with him, while he put on his new
Spiderman pajamas. Like any eight year old, he talked. I heard about the
best things of the day and how good lunch and dinner had been. I heard
about how impressed he was with the estate and how nice Anson had been
playing with them this evening. I heard about what he thought and what he
hoped and what might happen and everything else, that poured through his
young mind. After he had washed his face and brushed his teeth, he came
over to where I was sitting on the side of his bed and reached up to me
with both arms. I bent forward and picked him up and he wrapped his arms
around my neck, tightly.
"Thank you for finding me." he said and held on, as if someone was trying
to pull him away.
I told him he was very welcome and that we were all happy that he was here,
with us. I suggested, he go over to the bookshelf and select a book, he
thought he would like. He brought back `Swiss Family Robinson' and after
tucking him into bed, I sat beside him and read the first chapter of the
story. I told him to have a good sleep and kissed him on his forehead and
received another big hug.
When I returned to the Games Room, Davey wasn't there. I was told that
shortly after I took Denny upstairs, Mr. Chen had come and taken Davey away
with him. This did not concern me, Davey could not be in better hands.
Dean had gone into his office to call Jamie. I offered the three men a
drink. Beer seemed to be the preference and they just stared at me for a
moment when I asked "draft or bottled". They all jumped at the chance for
a `draft' and I got the stares again, as I asked which of three brands.
When they finally had their mugs in hand, we sat around the card table and
talked.
"Anson was asking us a question this afternoon, we didn't have an answer
for, Ted." Jason casually mentioned. Anson's head snapped toward Justin
and he got a puzzled look on his face.
"And what was that ?" I asked, taking Jason's bait.
"He was looking at that big, double bed in his suite," Jason replied, a big
smile on his face, "and he wondered if that much bed indicated, he could
bring someone home with him for the night." Anson's face turned a deep,
dark red. He looked at me and his mouth opened, but nothing came out. I
decided not to drag out his embarrassment.
"You guys live here now." I told them. "This is your home. You are
expected to remember, there are children living here, business is often
conducted here and from a security viewpoint, you are responsible, for
whoever you bring onto the estate. Beyond that, you are free to have
whatever guests you wish, even overnight, if you desire. You guys have
been very carefully selected and we have total confidence in your judgment
and values"
"Can I ask you a serious question ?" Jason continued.
"Anytime." I replied.
"Why us, or more specifically, why me ? I look around at where we are and
I think, I've won the lottery. This job, these surroundings, the people
here, it's more than I had ever imagined. I'm not a seasoned security man.
I have some skills and some experience, but ....." He was left at a loss
to express himself fully at the end of his question, but I understood what
he was getting at.
"As I just said, you guys were very carefully selected." I explained. "I
know more about each of you, than you likely know about yourselves. Among
many other things, I know about the scrape you got into, Jason, when you
were 15, even though the court records were sealed years ago. I know about
your marriage and annulment after only one month, Dale. And, I know about
your father beating you, Anson." Each man's face showed shock, or surprise
as I spoke. "You were selected to live and work here, not just for your
security experience, but for your personalities, your sense of humour, your
adaptability and many other criteria. I apologize, if I have embarrassed
any of you, by what I just said, but I want you to realize, no matter what
you see as your strengths or short comings, I know about them and have
chosen you, not necessarily in spite of them, but possibly, even because of
them. All four of you, Digger included, are an outstanding group of men
and I have total confidence in each of you." I think you could have heard
a pin drop, as each of them sat deep in thought.
"We will sit and talk like this on a regular basis, especially for the next
few weeks. If you have anything and I do mean ANYTHING, you want to ask
me, you can do it then, or any other time you wish. My door is always open
to you." I concluded. Dean returned at that point.
"I talked with Jamie and he has asked, if he could bring one of his
instructors home with him for the weekend. I told him it was okay. Does
that cause any problems for you?" he asked.
"I don't think so." I replied. "Who is he bringing ? I inquired.
"A Mr. Bailey" Dean answered.
"No, that's just fine." I laughed. "Looks like we'll have the whole team
in port this weekend."
"Oh, is he your man ?" Dean asked
"He's the one." I replied. "His name is `Digger Bailey' and he takes a
little getting use to, but I think you'll all like him. I met him in a bar
fight several years ago."
"Did he win ?" Jason asked.
"Luckily, no." I replied. "I did. We weren't on the same side at the
time." Again the room was absolutely quiet, as each man stared at me.
"Anyway," Dean started again, raising his eyebrows, "I was thinking, maybe
on Friday, it would be fun to hop on the plane to go pick Jamie up, then
continue on and go up to the cabin for the weekend. I mentioned it to
Jamie and he thought it was a great idea."
"I do too." I replied. "Were you planning on just you and Jamie and a
security man ?"
"No way, man." he answered, giving me an `are you crazy' look. "He may be
out to `do me in' after the shitty way I've treated him the past three
years. I want all the buffers I can get. Besides, I told him about your
new `sons' and he seems really excited to meet them."
"I doubt that he's `gunning' for you, but I still think it's a good idea."
I continued. "It will be a really good chance, for the nine of us to get
away from some of the distractions and get to know each other better."
"I don't think I could stand you knowing me any better." Jason threw at
me.
"Okay." I answered. "Let's say, we will learn to live together a little
better then." It was 10:00 p.m. and Mr. Chen appeared at the doorway with
Davey.
"Time for Mr. Davey go bed." Mr. Chen instructed.
"Yes Sir, we're heading up right now, Sir." I teased him. As usual his
expression never change a fraction, but he did glare at me.
"Mr. Chen." Dean said. "We will be flying up to the cabin Friday
afternoon, picking Jamie up along the way and staying until Sunday
afternoon. Will you please see that arrangements are made and stocks are
laid in. There will be nine of us and no service. We'll just rough it."
"And Chen ?" the little man queried. Dean realized that Mr. Chen was as
anxious to see Jamie as he was.
"Of course Mr. Chen, please forgive my being short sighted. There will be
10 of us." Dean replied.
"I won't be back down tonight, Dean" I said. "After Davey is in bed, I'm
going to do some paperwork and settle in for the night." Everyone said
good night to Davey and me and we headed upstairs. As we walked down the
hall, I asked Davey how he and Mr. Chen had made out.
"Great." he replied. I knew he was tired, but that was too short an
answer.
"So, what were you doing ?" I pressed farther.
"Oh, we have a little project we are working on," Davey answered, "and then
he helped my arm."
"What kind of project ?" I asked. Davey stopped walking and stood there
with his head hanging.
"I don't want to tell you." he said.
"Then you don't have to." I told him. "Anything you do with Mr. Chen will
be great." He continued standing there.
"I don't feel right about keeping secrets from you." he finally said.
"Sometimes secrets are a good thing." I answered. "You can't have
surprises, without sometimes having secrets."
"It's not like that. I don't want to tell you, because I don't want you to
be ashamed of me." he said looking up at me. A tear rolled down his
cheek.
"There is very little in this world, you could ever say that would make me
think less of you, or be ashamed of you." I told him, wiping the tear away
with my thumb and wrapping him in a hug. "If you don't want to tell me
something, I trust you. You can tell me when you're ready."
"You're making it worse." he said. "You trust me and I realize, I'm not
trusting you by holding a secret about myself back. Dad, I can't read.
Mr. Chen is helping me work in a beginner reader. We are going to work
together every week night."
"Well, I'm glad you told me, son," I replied, "but I already know that. I
talked with Mr. Chen about it, when I saw you couldn't fill out your menu
orders in the hospital. He suggested this as a temporary solution until
your teacher starts coming." Davey gave me a big hug.
"I should know better than to try to keep things from you, Dad and I'll try
not to do it any more." I returned his hug and took note of the second
"Dad" I had just gotten.
We reached his room and went in. The first thing I noticed was that Denny
was sound asleep. But, he was sound asleep sprawled sideways on his bed,
with the covers all kicked off. I went over and picked him up, setting him
into his bed and pulled up his covers. He never even stirred. I then went
over and helped Davey with his buttons, snaps and zipper, and getting his
cast arm out of his sleeve and into his pajama top. I reminded him to pee
and brush his teeth.
As he climbed into bed, he asked, "What's this `cabin' that Dean was
talking about going to ?"
"Oh," I replied, smiling, "It's a little place he keeps in southern Canada.
We're all going to pick up Jamie and then go on to there for the weekend.
I think you'll really like it. Tell me, you said Mr. Chen helped your arm.
What did he do ?"
"Just what he did before with my leg." he told me. "He put his hands on my
cast, holding around where the break was and just held it and stared at it.
It got real hot again until he let go. It sure felt a lot better, after he
was done and it doesn't hurt at all now."
Davey climbed into bed, I gave him a kiss on the forehead and he hugged my
neck, then we both said `Good night'.
I crossed the hall to my room and sat down at my desk. My communication
disk buzzed and vibrated, as my desk phone rang, so I reached for the
telephone receiver, already having a pretty good idea who it was.
"Dad ?"
"Yes, Davey. What can I do for you ?" I said, smiling at his call.
"I just wanted to make sure, I could get hold of you." he replied. "I
still don't like the idea of not being able to get to you."
"I know, son," I tried to console him, " you'll get use to how it works.
If not, I will try to figure something out for you."
After a pause, he asked, "Do you promise ? I have this awful feeling about
you being gone."
"I'm here right now. You just proved how easy it is to reach me. Now,
turn out your light and lay down. The faster you get to sleep, the faster
we get to start another great day." I told him.
"Okay, Dad. I love you." he said.
"I love you too, Davey. Good night." I responded. We both hung up our
receivers.
Dean - Friday afternoon
After Ted had taken Davey up to bed I sat and talked with the three younger
men for a while. They asked some questions about the `castle' and the
estate and I told them about it coming to me through my mother's family.
It had been built by my great-grandfather, who was a pioneer in the oil
industry. My grandfather was insulated through the depression, so the
estate had remained in his family until my mother, as his only child, had
inherited it. I again made it clear to them, the facilities were there to
be used and that they were to make themselves at home. After a half hour
or so, I decided, I'd had enough and excused myself from the group.
When I reached my room, I thought maybe, I should look in on the boys. I
opened the door and saw, they were both in bed and covered, so I went over
to Denny's bed and gave him a peck on the forehead, lightly brushing his
shaggy, red hair off of it first. I went over to do the same to Davey.
"I'm still awake." he announced to me. "I just called Dad to make sure, I
could reach him."
"And you found, it worked all right ?" I asked, sitting down on the side of
his bed.
"That doesn't make me feel any better. I have this terrible feeling, I am
not going to be able to get to him, sometime soon." he told me with a great
amount of concern.
"I don't think that's going to happen, but worrying about it isn't going to
make anything better." I tried to assure him. "Let's just wait and see if
there is a problem."
"Can we call you `Uncle' Dean ?" he asked me out of the blue.
"I would be most happy for you to do so," I answered, "but what made you
think of that ?"
"Well, Jamie calls Dad, Uncle Ted, and I thought, we would call you Uncle
Dean. It just seems the way it should be." he answered. "I should have
asked you this before, but is it all right with you that I asked him to
adopt me ?" He had a very serious look on his face.
"I am very pleased, you encouraged Ted to adopt you, but don't get the
wrong idea, Davey. I have known him a very long time and if he had not
already decided to adopt you, if he didn't love and want you, he would not
have been swayed by you. He would have said "No". You should always
remember, he picked you, as much as you picked him and I think you both
need and belong with each other." He smiled and reached up to give me a
big hug.
"Thanks, Uncle Dean. I know how lucky Denny and I are to have both of
you."
"I think, we are the lucky ones, to have both of you." I told him, trying
to ruffle his hair, but getting nothing in my hand but the bristles of his
brush cut.
I gave him a kiss on the forehead and tucked him in again and then I left
their room.
