To Fulfill a Prophesy


Section 56


It is the celebration of the 25th birthday of the fourth Guardian.  Sixteen
and a half years have passed since Prophesy has been fulfilled.  On this
occasion, I choose to document the status of each of the participants who
were involved with the family during that remarkable time and a little of
what has happened to them.

For order and form, I will go by age, commencing with the eldest.


Mr. Lo Sing Chen

Mr. Chen is now 95 years of age.  At age 85 years he retired as the Head of
Household at the `castle', but continued to monitor the lives of his
`family' in part by maintaining his post at the Dining Room buffet for
dinner every night until he was 93.  At that time he suffered a moderate
stroke.  The Guardians intervened and despite his argument of being
unworthy of their attention, they restored him by shifting his body some 30
years.  He continues to live in the main residence with Dean and Ted and is
instrumental in the care and maintenance of their household.  His new life
and vitality has prepared him to live fully to his new potential of 120
plus years.  Denny never has yet discover he use to hide the bananas on
Saturday mornings.


Mrs. Lily (Tayor) Johnson

Lily (of unspecified age) did in fact date the gentleman who worked in the
gardens at the estate.  He turned out to be Jim Johnson, the grounds
Supervisor.  They courted for about two years and then were married with
the enthusiastic approval of all her children.  When Mr. Chen retired,
Mrs. Johnson was asked to take over as Head of Household and Lily, Jim and
Gus moved into residence on the estate in one of the separate homes which
had been built on the cul-de-sac.  With Mr. Chen's occasional sage guidance
she took control of the household and it continued to run effectively and
efficiently.  She and Jim will celebrate their 15th Wedding Anniversary
this year and are as happy now as the day they wed.


Mr. Edward (Ted) Robert Tanner

Ted is now 56 years old.  He and Dean reside in their home which is the
main house on the cul-de-sac of the estate.  Over the years, as their boys
moved on and out they took in new children in need of their care and love.
Their house has forever been filled with the voices and laughter of growing
boys.  Ted retired as Chief of Security six years ago, but remains on the
Board of Directors of McAdams, Tanner a management firm which he and Dean
formed to run the McAdams conglomerate.  His time is now dedicated to their
continuing family and he still remains involved in supporting Dean's
continuing business growth.


Mr. Benton Dean Hillsborough McAdams III

Dean is 51 years of age.  He became President of McAdams, Tanner some 10
years ago and actively directs the operations of the McAdams empire through
his vice-presidents, making certain he has the majority of his time to
spend with his family and his partner.  He and Ted are totally dedicated to
each other and to their extended family and spend most of their time with
the boys in their house and with frequent baby sitting.


Mrs. Debra Fullard (McAdams) Stinson

After her divorce from Eduardo became final, Debra lived her own life for
five years.  She became active in volunteer work in her community and
helped to organized Day Care centres for working mothers.  With
encouragement from Jamie and Davey, she applied to adopt two young
siblings, a girl and a boy, aged 3 and 5 who the Guardians had identified
as needing her.  They are now her pride and joy, both demonstrating
academic superiority in all their school work and dedicated to their Mom
and Dad.  Five years ago, Debra married her fifth husband after a lengthy
courtship.  She discovered he was the first man she loved more than Dean.
He is a retired millionaire from Texas, whose six adult children welcomed
her as much as all her family welcomed him.  His children collectively
presented her with 15 grandchildren and each of them think their Grandmum
is the greatest thing since cereal became sugar coated.  She feels the same
about them.



Mr. "Digger" Walter Malcolm Bailey

Digger is now 46.  His relationship with Anson did not last.  After four
years they separated and Digger requested re-assignment.  They remain
friends and their break up was mutually accepted.  Digger was transferred
to fraud investigations.  He has gone through a series of short term
relationships, but has never been able to settle with one partner.  He
visits the estate regularly and everyone is always happy to see him.  Ted
and Jamie remain his closest friends.



Mr. Dale Milton Savage

Dale is 43 years old.  He replaced Ted as Chief of Security at McAdams
Corp. when Ted retired.  Most of his work is done from the `castle' where
Ted moved Security Central a number of years ago, leaving him on the estate
most of the time.  Fifteen years ago, he and Jason adopted a pair of
identical twins who were two years old.  The boys, under Tim's tutelage
have developed into superior students and like their Dads are exceptional
athletes.  Ten years ago, they adopted a five year old boy who has grown
into a remarkably fine young man of 15.  He is currently winning science
fairs in the senior division and is headed to the national competitions.
Dale still wears around his neck the silver chain which Jason gave him with
the bullet that killed him attached.  Jason picked it up that day from the
stage and gave it to Dale as a reminder he only has the one life he is
living left.


Mr. Jason Lyle Lawrence

Jason is 43 years old.  Jason has become a `house husband'.  Shortly after
the twins arrived, he semi-retired and stayed at home to raise the boys.
This met with Dale's full approval and the two of them shared care and
supervision of their prodigy.  Jason was asked to sit on the Board of
Directors of McAdams Corp. and has been a contributing member for 15 years.
They both are totally devoted to their family, near and extended and their
counsel is sought regularly by members of all the sub-families.  They live
on the cul-de- sac on the estate.


Dr. Timothy "Tim" Alfred Wright, Ph. D.

Tim is 42.  He and Kevin remain as partners.  In spite of the amount of
work he had here on the estate, Tim went back to school and eventually
earned a Doctorate of Special Education.  He is now a full Professor at our
University and a Consultant to the National Education Association.  He also
continues to work with the children here on the estate.  Eight years ago,
he and Kevin adopted a little boy, who was 4 years old.  Two years later
they adopted a second boy who was also 4.  They live in one of the smaller
residential homes on the cul-de-sac.  Their entire family is very happy and
they spend a great deal of time at the big house.


Mr. Anson William Tyler

Anson is 38 years old.  After his relationship with Digger ended, Anson
remained uncommitted for a couple years.  Through Tim, who was back to
school at the time, he met a man two years his senior named Marcus.  After
a courtship which was carefully monitored by Dale for over a year, they
committed to each other and two years later adopted a five year old boy who
had been badly abused.  He took a lot of care and work and Marcus, a
Teacher, stayed home for three years to guide the boy through his
adjustments.  Ted and Lily became very involved as well.  Today, their
twelve year old son and his two younger brothers live a happy life with
their Dads on the cul-de-sac.  Anson accepted the position of Sr. Security
Officer (Captain) when Dale was promoted and now co-ordinates all security
for the estate and for the Guardians.


Mr. Brian Thomas Taylor

Brian is 37 years old.  He and Davey remain totally committed to each
other.  Brian is still a member of the central security team having
responsibility for Davey.  He is kept busy with his duties but both of them
have made sure there is time for their family.  They adopted a five year
old daughter eight years ago and two five year old boys, two years later.
It's been said more than once their now thirteen year old daughter can wrap
her Grandpa Dean and her Grandpa Ted around her little finger any time she
wants.  It happens to be true.  Their family reside in the newly
constructed additional homes on the cul-de-sac.


Mr. Brendan Stafford Styles

Brendan is now 34.  His summer at the `castle' made a distinct impression
on him.  Most of his holidays and vacations from then on were spent with
the family.  He gained more confidence in himself and stopped measuring
himself by the neglect of his family.  After completing a Masters Degree in
Business Administration, Brendan was employed by McAdams Corp. and two
years ago became a vice-president at McAdams, Tanner.  He has been married
for the past eight years and has two children, a girl of five and a girl of
two.  He and his wife are very happy and have a comfortable life.  They
live near the estate and visit often.


Dr. Kevin Dean Tanner, Ph.D.  (Kevin Thompson)

Kevin is 33 years old.  Before he turned 17, Kevin asked Ted to adopt him.
He found he had come to recognize Tim as his partner and lover, but Ted was
his Dad.  He wanted to cement his relationship with the family by becoming
a full legal member of it.  His adoption was completed shortly after his
17th birthday.  Kevin studied Archeology and completed his Doctorate.  He
is a full Professor at the University and the Director of his department.
Kevin has received fame and critical renown among his peers and colleagues
for his work in translations of the Dead Sea Scrolls and Egyptian
Hieroglyphics.  He loves Tim and his 12 and 10 year old sons with all his
heart and maintains a close relationship with his brothers and his Dad.


Dr. Todd Bartholomew Tenman, Ph.D.

Todd also benefited from his summer at the estate.  He started looking
deeply at his relationship with his parents and finding an extensive gap,
confronted them about it and forced the issue.  After a year of family
therapy, they were able to modify their relationships and establish a
working arrangement which allowed them to interact at a moderate level.
Todd pursued his interest in human interaction and earned a Doctor of
Psychology degree and now works as a Clinical Psychologist at Memorial
General Hospital.  He is married and has a nine year old daughter and six
year old son.  The whole family visit the estate regularly and Todd
maintains a close relationship with his Uncles Dean and Ted.  He is 33
years old.


Dr. David (Davey) Edward Tanner Ph.D.  (David Graham Curry)

Davey is 31 years old.  He was adopted by Ted two months following the
fulfillment of Prophesy.  Following Tim's lead Davey completed a degree in
Education and earned his Doctorate.  He currently is a grade 4 teacher,
enjoying the 9, 10 and 11 year old children who pass through his class.  He
has been offered a Principal position for several years now and repeatedly
turns it down, preferring to stay in the classroom working directly with
the children.  His thirteen year old daughter and two eleven year old sons
are the center of his and Brian's world and they still look to each other
as lover, partner, friend and companion.  Davey is close to all three of
his brothers, but Jamie is still his best friend and he still has a special
attachment to Denny and his Dad.


Mr. Leonard (Len, Lenny) Scott Taylor

Len is now 31.  Never one for school work, Len did at the insistence of his
friends Davey and Jamie complete college with a degree in electronics.  He
started his own computer software company and has had phenomenal success.
Choosing to remain small in a very restricted market, he specialized in
educational, medical and dental software and became the leading producer of
quality, user friendly programming.  Len married and has two boys, 8 and 5
and a daughter, 3 months.  Jamie and Davey are still his best friends and
his family spends much time at the estate with his parents and the family.


Dr. James "Jamie" Hillsborough McAdams, M.D.  and Dr. Evelyn Tracey (Evers)
McAdams, M.D.

Jamie is 30 years old.  After graduating first in his class at the top
medical school in the country, Jamie specialized in Neurosurgery and at an
unheard of young age has become one of the top brain surgeons in the world.
He is currently Chief of Staff and Director of Neurosurgery at Memorial
General Hospital and has made it a world class facility.  His beautiful
wife, Tracey, is an Orthopedic Surgeon and heads that department.  They
have one set of twin boys, age four and a daughter, age 1.  They have both
chosen to limit their practices and take only the most severe cases,
referring all others to their associates, thus allowing more time with
their family.  They have chosen to remain close to the family and live in
one of the houses on the estate's cul-de-sac extension.  Davey remains
Jamie's best friend and they spend as much time together as possible,
usually with their families.


Dr. Dennis (Denny) Robert Tanner, Ph.D.  (Dennis Thompson)

Denny is 25 years old.  He is the youngest Doctorate awardee the University
has yet granted.  He earned a Master of Business Administration and a
Doctor of Economics.  It was in no small part due to Tim's influence on his
studies that he entered the University at 16 years of age and did his
M.B.A. in three years.  Denny is the Senior vice-president of McAdams,
Tanner and his Uncle Dean's prot^Âg^Â.  Dean has made it clear he
intends to retire within the next five years and expects Denny to take
over.  Denny is not married, but he has had a steady girl friend for over a
year and according to his brothers' continual teasing , "everything fits
nicely".  Denny remains very close to his Dad and Uncle as well as his
brothers.  To this day, this handsome, red headed, 6'3", 210 pound,
mountain of masculine muscle, gets a warm feeling whenever his Dad wraps
his arms around him and calls him, "my little man".  It happens quite
regularly.  Since the day Denny met Ted, he has never had to question about
being accepted or loved.


Franklin Gustov (Gus) Taylor

Gus is 25 years old.  He and Denny are still best friends.  Gus has
followed Denny's lead and with Tim's help has completed his M.B.A.  He was
married three years ago to a fellow student and they have a two year old
daughter.  Gus works for McAdams Corp. as the Director of Finance.  He is
very competent and enjoys his job and his home.  His family visits the
estate frequently to see his parents and their friends.


Matthew Douglas Wright

Matthew is 23 years old.  He is a post-graduate student at the University.
He has obtained a Masters degree in Anthropology and is working on his
Doctorate.  He is also working as Kevin's assistant and receiving the best
education anyone could hope for.  Kevin and Tim look on him as their eldest
son. Kevin is still his idol.  Matthew has followed his `older brother'
Denny's lead and not married yet though he has found he likes women very
much and they like this intelligent, handsome, cheerful man.  He still
lives in the big house when he is home, but spends most of his spare time
with Tim and Kevin's boys.  They are the only ones who get to call him,
Uncle Matt.


The Guardians

The four Guardians have kept a low profile since the fulfillment of
Prophesy.  The stories about them have become a combination of folk lore
and supposition.  Many believe it is just a story and we have all done
everything possible to promote that opinion.

Through the many contacts the family have, sometimes word of a special need
will filter in.  The Guardians respond in an appropriate manner.  Most of
the healing has been done for children who have had life threatening, or
scarring accidents.  Occasionally a special need will arise somewhere and
the four will all be gone for a day.  Once even they turned their attention
to an old Chinaman who they did not feel they had seen enough of yet.

They realized long ago they could not save everyone.  They have brought a
select few back.  They have not been judgmental in the selection, it has
depended on timing, availability and need.  Deaths from trauma or accident,
not the inevitability of time or nature.  A young mother of two, dead
because of a hospital labeling error on gas tanks, a teen killed by ice on
the road, causing a car to run onto a sidewalk, the senseless mugging death
of a woman supporting her single daughter and mentally challenged
granddaughter, a police officer with a young family, shot while attending
to a domestic dispute.

These occasions remained very draining on them, like the first time when
they didn't recover for four days.  Four days without a movement and then
they all woke within an hour of each other wanting to know when dinner
would be ready.  That was the single time I cried over them.

This story has been my remembrances of the beginning of the lives of the
Guardians.  There are many more events, memories, people and some sorrows,
but those are other stories.  For now, you know and understand how we all
came together to fulfill prophesy.
