Subject: Treasure Trails Retreat   Chapter #5  Beginnings

If are under age or same sex bothers you leave now!

We started to gather everyone together telling them to get washed up and
into the dinning room as it was about time for dinner.  Every finished up
what they had been doing and headed towards the house.  As Rick and I were
greeting everyone and having them get seated Rick's cell phone rang and he
stepped away for a minute and took the call.  The room was set up in the
same fashion as lunch had been round tables but this time covered with
beautiful white silk like material I was not sure what it was but it was
fantastic looking and it reflected the colors of the fresh flowers again
set on the tables as center pieces.  The place setting was of large sliver
plates and utensils that looked real silver, and cloth napkins with crystal
water and wine glasses.

It was again a buffet table but now it was two tables side by side to speed
up the serving again the tables were set the same as the round tables with
this fancy white covering and flowers but the flowers on the buffet tables
were huge and looked fantastic.  I started the line at one of the tables
and ask everyone to follow; soon both tables were moving along as great
speed.  As we started down a table your first choice was small white china
plates for three choices of fresh salads then a large plate and severs
would place your choice of several different vegetables that had been grown
right here, green beans, corn removed from the cob and cooked in a cream
sauce, orange glazed carrots, and three different types of potatoes mashed
with cheese and garlic in them, plain baked or American fried. At last but
not least we had a choice of roasted turkey fresh fish or sliced prime rib
roast all cut and served as you liked it.  It was not until I got back to
my table that I could watch the others as I had to be careful not to spill
any I took that much. I also noticed Rick was not next to me and was him
just entering the dinning room.  He joined me shortly and I asked if
everything was all right and he said we should break away as soon as
possible and discuss some matters he just learned about, he also said
nothing is wrong just that he wanted some of my feelings on a couple of
matters he had just been made aware of.

	Jon stood and tapped one of his crystal glasses and asked the a
second of silence after which he thanked the kitchen and wait staff for all
the fine food we had been served that day and stated if the word got out we
eat like this 2 things would happen, 1st we all would weigh close to 300
pounds and 2nd we would have a line 3 miles long with people waiting to
work here.  It seemed to set the mood for the rest of the meal everyone was
informed to make several trips thru the food lines and while we were eating
a separate desert table was being set up again with staff serving fresh
made cakes, pies, cookies and large strawberry sundaes' with berries grown
here. We were also informed the turkeys and beef and even the fish were
also from here, that the young people serving and helping the chefs had
also started early in the day and caught the fish, picked the berries and
setup the tables and had just as always been a pleasure to work with.
Every one stood and gave them all a hand for their hard work during the
day.  I leaned over to Rick and ask him to make sure each and every one of
them got an additional $100.00 in their pay. I want them to know they are
appreciated and if we ever need younger people we can get them.  It had
been a long day and as people finished eating they just sort of drifted off
after asking what time tomorrow.

After everyone had left we showed the seven new guys around the house.
Telling them we would have your morning meal at about 7:30 and seeing as it
would only be about a dozen of us we would just eat in the kitchen. Also
that would let them great the three main people on the kitchen staff.  Once
they were all settling down and Rick and I were alone.  I sat him down gave
him a long and hard kiss and asked what upset you so much with that phone
call, you have been troubled ever since then.

	He stated it was from one of our attorneys' in Denver.  He watches
over some of your holdings there and of late has been looking after some of
your Great Grand Fathers relations.  I said as far as I knew I did not have
any other living relations. He said I had several distant cousins.  Well to
be more precise one distant cousin that had just been in a major car
accident in the Denver Co. area and was in the hospital and her triplets
were going to be placed in foster homes till she got better or if she did
not make it. Her husband had been killed on impact.

	I said go wake Jordyn and Steve and Matt and get the jet ready we
are leave for the western state now.  Get that attorney back on the phone
and let him know those three kids are my only living relatives and I want
to adopt them or be made guardian or what ever but they are not to be put
out like someone's trash and I want to hear you yelling at him.  We can get
dropped off at Denver and Jordyn can go get his Uncle and The can come back
to Denver.  You tell that attorney in Denver to move heaven and earth to
make it happen.
	Rick left to get every one gathered to leave the Retreat, I called
Jon and told him what was happening and ask him to try to get everyone
moving in the morning.  In less than 30 minutes the 5 of us were getting
into the new chopper and heading toward the jet to fly westward bound.  I
made a comment to them it would be a lot better then we had our airport
here and did not have to hop on over just to get somewhere in a hurry.  I
just got a funny look from all of them, so I just said make it happen not
know but soon. You do know we are going to have to pay for storage on the
four pieces of flying equipment we have and some of the guest my want to
fly here.  We should plan on building a runway large enough to accommodate
the jet and the other plane and the choppers also a maintance building and
storage shed.  Four hours later we were at Denver and on your way to the
hospital.  The attorney (Mr. Smyth) meet us and took us to my cousin's
private room.  He explained she had briefly regained conscious and he
informed her I was coming to help and with witnesses she had singed over
guardian rights to me as their only living relative.  He had just finished
explaining that I was the legal guardian to the triplets when the alarms on
her bed went off. Doctors came in and we are moved to the hall. In a short
time we were told that she had not made it.  I then asked where the
children were.  Some one had to tell them how old are they and what are
their names.  He explained that a local judge had placed them in a foster
care home and as soon as I could get to them they were to be released to
me.

	I asked the attorney to call a funeral home and get my cousin ready
for burial. We left to go to the Home, I was not a happy camper, and these
children had been shipped around like yesterdays garbage. I had found out
the father of the children had been killed instantly in the accident and
the mother had been in the hospital for 3 days.  The kids have been in
4differnt home or shelters since the accident and luckily the 3 of them had
not been hurt at all.
	I had never had any relation other than my two parents who had been
dead for several years and now I have just made arrangement for an unknown
cousin and her husband and I am on my way to meet three more relation.
Hell I have not even been told of their sex and ages yet.

	We got the Home if you want to call it that, My God some of the
shacks on the ranch looked a lot better than this place.  We entered and
ask to see the manager.  In several minutes an older woman that looked like
the Wicked Witch of the West of the Wizard of Oz came out and snapped what
you want.  I took a long breath and calmly started who I was and I wanted
the 3 children I had been made guardian of.  Follow me she stated and
turned around and left.  We walked down a long hall and entered a dark
room, she turned on a light and we saw three babies that seemed to be maybe
2 or 3 months old all sleeping of a single bed. Just in diapers.  I asked
if we could get some baby blankets and we would be leaving with them NOW.
We got into the limo we had rented and ask the driver to take us back the
hospital.  WE pulled up the Emergency Entrance and went in and had the
three babies checked and got clean diapers ( and some extra ones) and clean
blankets and some formula and bottles to them back to Treasure Trails.
While here they were all bathed and checked.  We all got a look at them for
really the time.  All three were blond headed boys and were identical
triplets.  We were going to have your hands full now.  I asked if it was
possible to hire one or two of their nursing staff to help us get these
beautiful boys home to Calgary that our jet was waiting at the airport and
would return their staff right away.  We got two of the best nurses I have
ever seen.  The trip home was quite and adventure with the three not being
on the same time schedule one was crying or being fed or changed at all
times.  We had also made arrangements to have some of the Indian women come
in on a full time basis to help with raising them.  Their parents had named
them Bart, Ben, and Bo.  I tell you my heart just swells each time I look
at them I know what a parent feels like now and I know these boys will
never lack for anything.  So now as we head home we have 2 pilots, 2
nurses, Jordyn and his Uncle (Tom) Rick myself and 3 infants.  Steve calls
ahead and rents a 2nd chopper as we had only come over in 1 this morning.
As it was three adults would be each holding an infant in their arms, in
the 2 choppers going back to the ranch.  As it turned out it was the nurses
and myself.  When we landed back home we had a large gathering.  The chief
was several of the women fold were there and were all waiting to see my
babies as the chief said. You always do things first class and very fast
but three beautiful babies that all look the same in a day now that is
fast.

	I asked if we could possible get 10 women to help take care of them
2 each on 8 hour shifts and the extras so they could have time off to be at
their own homes.  He stated that was roughly what he had in mind and had 12
such women here for me to look at I said I will take them all.  Turned to
the guys from Birmingham and stated you guys might have to double up on
rooms for a bit till I can figure out what is going on.  But one of the
large bedroom suites is going to be changed into a nursery tomorrow.
Everyone laughed and started looking at the babies and wanting to hold
them.  You never saw the happier babe they smiled and giggled as each
person held each boy.  The women claimed they had never seen happier
babies.  I told Rick privately that I had told the attorney in Denver to
take the Judge who sent them babies to that Hellhole out and let him see it
first hand and to get it cleaned and made into a decent place to raise
children and to set up a fund to help, them after The witch was gone. I
told him 1 mill to repair the building and 2 mill in the fund to help with
expenses in raising unwanted children.

	Well I finally got to meet Uncle Tom from Tucson told him what my
idea was to build a small hydro power plant up by my small water fall and
use it in power outages or when ever.  He claimed after he looked at the
site it might be that I could power our needs full time and sell power to
the major electric company also on a full time basis.  But he would have to
see the site first.  I ask Russ to take him and Jordyn out tomorrow
morning.  That got a round of laughter everyone saying Hey Boss this is
tomorrow do you think you got from here to Denver ran around all day and
back in just a couple hours.  You must be running on pure adrenalin, go to0
bed for a bit we will see you all later.

	Rick and I went up and settled into sleep right away, and it seemed
like hours but it was only 30 minutes or so and we were both wide awake
having heard our babies crying.  We went and checked on them and went
upstairs this time to our bed and went back to sleep and slept for several
hours, not hearing another sound.
