Simon Story Part 24
Nervous tension

The whole family spent the next week or so on edge while they waited for
the decision form the court. It didn't come. Both Simon and Robert found
that their school life was easier. Much to their surprise they found that
more of the boys at school were now on their side in the great gay /
straight debate. Naturally there were those that still didn't agree and
seemed hell bent on causing problems, but thankfully their numbers were
diminishing.
During the evenings, Simon seemed to be spending more and more time alone
as Robert's commitments to the choir kept him busy. Whenever Robert was
away, Simon worried about them growing apart, but Robert swept this away as
soon as he came back through the door. If anything, their time apart seemed
to make them appreciate their time together even more.
What Simon didn't know was, that a lot of Robert's time away from him
during this last week was spent preparing for his forthcoming birthday.
Robert had planned a party that would be the biggest and best the family had
ever seen. What is more, almost all of their friends had been invited with
strict instructions about what to say if Simon asked questions before the
party.
Friday night came round and Robert and Simon called for Alex on their way
to Scouts. The two boys spent a few minutes talking with Alex's parents
while Alex finished getting ready. At one point during the conversation,
Robert thought that his plans were blown wide open when Alex's parents asked
Simon about what he was planning for his birthday. As it turned out, this
only helped to throw Simon off of the scent and actually gave Robert some
new ideas about how to embellish his plan.
The Troop meeting went well. Simon was officially promoted to Patrol Leader
and Robert to his Assistant. Alex was really pleased for them both, but
still felt a little disappointed. He would dearly have liked to be Simon's
assistant. He felt that the three of them made the best team ever. Simon and
Robert almost seemed to be telepathic with each other at times while he was
still trying to second-guess them. However he felt, he knew that the three
of them were extremely good and loyal friends.
On the way home they decided to hold an off-the-cuff sleep over. A quick
phone call from Alex's and some rushed packing and all three were off to
Robert and Simon's. After dumping off Alex's kit and changing out of uniform
they headed off down to the chip shop (sells fries, battered fish and the
like) and pretty soon they were muching their way through fish and chips. It
wasn't something Alex was used to, but he was rapidly growing to like it.
They arrived back at Simon and Robert's and shortly afterward all three of
them were tucked up in a makeshift bed on the floor. The relationship
between the three of them had developed to the extent that Alex no longer
felt like he was playing gooseberry and knew that neither Simon nor Robert
would force him to do anything that he wasn't comfortable doing. If the
truth was know he was still intrigued about what they did and what they felt
as he lay there watching them. On some occasions he joined in with some of
the foreplay but usually in a passive role. This didn't worry either of the
lovers. They knew he was straight, but curious nothing more.
Robert lay in the middle with his arms wrapped around both Simon's and
Alex's shoulders as Simon gently explored his lover's body. Being in this
position made Robert feel as though he was somehow restrained and could do
nothing about what was happening to him. Simon slid down beneath the covers.
Alex turned Robert's head and looked straight into his eyes, lowering his
own head as he puckered his lips. Robert started to raise his head and just
as his lips were about to come into contact, Alex moved to one side and
kissed his cheek. Robert was going to say something, but Alex put a finger
over his lips indicating him to keep quiet. It was at that moment Robert
realised that he was Alex's favourite and Simon was probably a very close
second.
In the mean time, Simon had been continuing his exploration under the
covers now using both of his hands and his lips and knew nothing about what
had happened. Robert was starting to respond to his touch. His pleasure
levels were rising steadily as he lay there with his lover and his best
friend. Robert let out a sudden groan as Simon took Robert's favourite toy
and consumed it totally and with passion. Another hand started to stroke his
chest. It only took a couple of moments for Robert to realise that Alex was
starting to join in too. This caused a fleeting moment of concern to pass
through Robert's mind before the pleasure and excitement these two boys were
generating in him replaced it.
Just moments later he gave his lover everything he had as he lay there, his
body in spasm, willing it to give him more. Simon's head appeared back on
the pillow next to Roberts. A beaming smile preceded the kiss that he gave
Robert. A kiss with a little of his own returned to him as a present from
his lover. Simon and Alex gave Robert a chance to recover by just lying next
to him with their arms draped across his chest.
Robert released his arms and let them glide gently down the torsos of the
boys lying on either side of him. His touch was so light and gentle he could
feel them shiver ever so slightly as his fingers explored first their smooth
chests, tweaking their nipples as he found them and then on further down
toward his primary target. With each of the boys held firmly in his grasp,
he started to work on them rhythmically and tenderly. He wanted to bring
them up to a high level of pleasure without causing any accidents. When he
had them as close as he dared, he released them both and in one movement
rolled over and disappeared from sight.
The two boy's hips were drawn together by a pair of strong muscular arms.
Their bellies touched as their buttocks were gently and firmly massaged.
When he was ready Robert allowed the uppermost hip of each boy to part
keeping the lower in contact. Both Alex and Simon shuddered as they felt his
warm breath first against their bellies and then their prised possessions.
Robert passed their top legs over his shoulders releasing his hands, which
he now used to stroke and massage their backs as erotically as he could.
First Simon's and then Alex's prised possession disappeared into his mouth,
then both at the same time. This left the two friends gasping and groaning
as Robert used all of his skill to generate as much pleasure in his lover
and best friend as he could.
Robert brought his hands down and started massaging the two powerful
muscles that were over his shoulders working his hands further and further
up until each of the muscles met it's pair. With a now wet and slippery
finger sliding into a tight and warm darkness Robert caused a load groan to
escape from Simon. He was just starting to do the same thing with Alex when
he heard a quiet "no". He changed his plan and used the same finger to
massage the entrance to that dark warm place on Alex instead of entering it.
Alex to was groaning loudly now and within seconds Robert was given the
choice of either drowning or swallowing hard as both boys gave him their
all.
When he surfaced, he had kept his fingers in place and held the two boys
face to face locking his legs around them keeping them in place as he first
kissed a mouth then a cheek. Alex's arm wrapped around his back hugging him
tight as Simon used one of his fingers to good effect. Robert too let out a
loud groan before they all relaxed for a few hot stick minutes.
Had anyone been up, they would have laughed as three boys shared two
bathrobes to cross the landing to bathroom. With the door safely locked,
Simon run the shower and slipped in. The water was perfect as he gently took
hold of Alex's upper arm and drew him in too. Robert followed a moment
later. With the boys all soaking wet, the water was turned off and the soap
passed from hand to hand as they lathered each other up. Their now slippery
bodies glided across each other in the cramped shower and more than one
groan of pleasure could have been heard.
With two pairs of hand drying each body it wasn't long before all three of
them were back in the bedroom trying to sort out the pile of now unusable
sheets that lay on the floor. In the end, they resorted to the bed. It was a
bit cramped, but eventually all three of them fell into the land of dreams.
They all slept late the following morning. No one said anything because,
despite the boy's best efforts, their activities the night before hadn't
been the quietest and left no one in any doubt that they all needed as much
sleep as they could get. It was a subtle comment from Arthur that alerted
the boys that their activities weren't as secret as they had hoped. The boys
headed into the kitchen for some breakfast.
	"Morning." Gary said sarcastically.
	"Mornin'" Replied the boys.
"Did you sleep well?" Gary asked with a knowing smile. Alex immediately did
his impression of a ripe cherry and tried to leave. Simon and Robert held
him back.
"Thanks Dad!" Robert said. "Remind me to ask you an embarrassing question
next time you have friends over." Robert's voice revealed his anger despite
his best efforts not to show it.
"Sorry Alex." Gary said as he realised that Alex wasn't quite as open about
his private life as Robert and Simon were. Simon persuaded Alex to stay and
just to make up for his thoughtlessness Gary made them all breakfast.
Alex stopped for a while after breakfast and helped Simon and Robert with
their chores before all three of them headed off to Alex's taking baby
Michael with them. Alex's mum was really into babies, especially someone
else's. It took Alex quite a few minutes to persuade her that they really
must get going or they would miss their bus into town.
While they were in town, Alex talked Simon into letting Robert slip off for
a few minutes. It didn't take much when Alex explained that Robert had to
buy his birthday present. Robert used this time to double check and make any
final arrangements for the following weekend and Simon's party. He also
bought a smaller present for Simon on his actual birthday on Thursday. They
all met up again in a small café before heading for home.
Alex left them at the bus stop. After being embarrassed earlier that
morning, he didn't want to bump into Gary again. That afternoon some of
Robert's friends from the choir dropped by and very soon Simon was on his
own again. At first he wasn't too bothered. He spent some time playing with
his little brother, but when he fell asleep Simon soon got bored. Leaving
the baby with Rose he left the house and walked the streets for a while. He
didn't know why or how, but he ended up sitting by his parent's grave. As he
sat there, he told them all about the things he had been doing since their
funeral and about his fears for the outcome of the court case.
He heard a voice and looked around. There was no one to be seen. He heard
the voice again and realised that it was his fathers.
"Don't worry son. You and Michael will be staying with Robert. It was a
shrewd move using our secret in Court. It is that, that has ensured you will
all stay together."
Simon opened his eyes. It was getting late. He was puzzled at first about
where he was, but the head stone on the grave answered that for him. A
sudden noise startled him. He jumped up and span around. It was the Vicar.
"Hello." The Vicar said. He recognised Simon immediately, but couldn't
remember his name. "How are you?"
	"Fine thank you." Simon answered.
"I see you have come to see your mum and dad." The Vicar said nodding
towards the grave.
"Yea. Sometimes I need some time alone. To sort out my head. Do you know
what I mean?" Simon asked.
"I most certainly do." The Vicar replied.
"I don't know why, but I seem to find the answers to my troubles here."
Simon stopped. He suddenly felt very foolish.
"Don't stop. What you were saying makes a great deal of sense."
"It's as though my parents talk to me when I'm here."
"I think it has something to do with the tranquillity here letting the
answers come from within you. How are you getting on with your new family?"
"I don't want to leave them for the world, but the Court still has to make
up its mind. I'm scared they will split us up." Simon realised his mistake.
"How do you mean us?" The Vicar asked.
"My brother and me." Simon said after a bit of quick thinking.
"Oh, they'll never do that, not while you have a good family looking after
you. Oh well, I must be getting along. Be good."
"I'll try." Simon responded. "Bye." He shouted out as he turned and started
to walk home.
When he arrived, Robert was already back and was lying in the living room
floor playing with Michael. Simon smiled. He knew deep down that he didn't
have to worry about being separated from Robert or Michael. Only a fool
would do that especially after seeing just how happy his brother and he were
living with this very special family. Simon went through to the kitchen.
Rose was busy making tea. She looked up at him and smiled. Simon returned
her smile as he walked over and gave her a hug.
"Did you have a good talk with your parents?" Rose asked him quietly.
"Yes. " Simon replied. Then he realised he hadn't said where he had been.
He gave her a puzzled expression.
"The Vicar phoned." She answered. She knew what the question was, without
him having to ask it. She also knew that he would talk about it when he was
ready. He left her with a smile and before long she could hear the sounds of
Arthur and Simon rough-housing out in the back garden. She glanced out of
the kitchen window a couple of times to make sure things weren't getting out
of hand and on the last glance spotted Robert out there with Michael. She
tapped on the window and pointed at Michael and gestured for Robert to bring
him in.
Simon brought Michael in. He was cross with Robert. Although it wasn't cold
out, it still wasn't warm enough for Michael to be out there without his
little hat and coat on. Robert came in a few minutes later.
"What's up with Si'?" He asked Rose.
"He's cross with you because you didn't put Michael's hat and coat on
before taking him outside." She explained.
	"It's not cold out there."
"Not for you may be. But remember, Michael is only a baby and feels the
cold much more than you."
"Oh." Robert thought for a few moments. "Where is Si' now?" He asked.
"I think he went up stairs." Rose replied and Robert left. He found Simon
lying on their bed, fast asleep with Michael asleep on his chest. Robert
couldn't help but smile. He dashed off down stairs and told his mother.
Leaving Robert looking after the tea she went up and took several photos of
the sleeping boys before carrying on with the tea.
For most of that evening, the boys sat holding hands watching the TV. There
was a couple of old films on, but nothing really worth staying in for. They
went up to bed at about 10 and fell asleep in each other's arms. When Simon
awoke the next morning, Robert was gone. He had slipped out of the house
early. One of his friends from the choir had access to some recording
equipment and with a few others they helped Robert prepare his very special
present for Simon's birthday.
When Robert returned, he faced the third degree from Simon. Where had had
he been? What had he been doing? Why hadn't he taken him with him? Robert
found it very hard and eventually blurted out that he had been sorting out a
present for his birthday. He didn't want it to come out this way because he
knew it would make Simon feel uncomfortable, but in the end he had no
choice. Simon just sat down on the bed with a thump. He had no idea why he
suddenly felt jealous of anyone who took Robert away from him. The more he
thought about it, the worse he felt. This also made Robert feel guilty too.
It made him feel that he was responsible some how for how his lover felt. In
the end the boys just hugged each other tight. Neither of them really knew
how to deal with the emotions they were now experiencing. In the end, Arthur
told his father about what was going on and both he and Rose went up to talk
to the boys. The final out come was that the possibility of them being
separated, regardless of how remote it may be, was the root cause. This, at
least, was a starting point to get then back to their normal happy selves.
Simon and Robert's depression lifted slowly as the week progressed and by
the Wednesday morning depression had turned to almost uncontrollable
excitement in Simon and Robert was bursting to tell all of the guests about
the final part of his plan for the weekend, everyone that is except Simon.
Robert had intentionally kept the final part of his plan a secret and the
key people in his plan only knew about their part. It was the best-kept
secret since D-Day.
That evening when the boys came home, they were both near boiling point and
Rose ended up sending them up stairs to separate rooms, Simon to their room
and Robert to Arthur's. It was the only way she could keep them under
control. Beside, she had much larger things to worry about. An ominous buff
coloured envelope had arrived in the post that morning. The return address
on the back told her it was from the Court.
Gary got home from work and Rose took him into the living room. The boys
were all upstairs. She gave him the envelope. The seal was still intact. As
she passed it to him her hand was shaking, she said nothing. Gary looked at
her and she returned his look. She could see he was as nervous now as she
was. They sat down on the small settee and looked at it.
"You open it love. I can't." Gary said in a shaky voice.
"No you do it. I'm scared of what it might say." She replied in an equally
shaky voice. Gary took a deep breath and slid his finger under the flap. The
seal opened leaving a ragged tear line. Gary peered in. There was only one
sheet of paper in the envelope. Nervously he removed it and looked at the
letterhead. After taking another deep breath he slowly unfolded the paper.
The sound of his heartbeat was banging inside his head. Slowly he read the
letter. It had a load of legal stuff at the top and he had read to the
middle of the third paragraph. He put it down and looked at his wife.
"Well? What does it say?" Rose asked. Gary picked it up and read aloud.
"In light of the new information brought up during the hearing, both
Michael and Simon are formally placed into your care." Gary let out a huge
sigh as Rose grabbed the letter from him and read it for herself. The letter
dropped to the floor as Gary and Rose flung their arms around each other as
tears of joys fell down their cheeks.
Robert entered the room and immediately drew the wrong conclusion from the
emotional scene before him having mistaken his parent's tears of joys for
ones of sorrow. The sounds of his feet as they thumped on every step on his
way up to his room brought Rose and Gary back to earth with a bump. They
immediately ran up after him taking the letter with them. They found him
laying face down on his bed, crying hard into his pillow. Luckily Simon was
in the bathroom at the time or the scene could have been much worse. When
Simon came in Rose was hugging Robert to her with Gary's arms around them
both.
"What is it? What's wrong with Robby?" He asked. His voice was starting to
wobble, as he too feared the worst. Gary handed him the letter. Simon
nervously read the letter.
"YES!" He shouted at the top of his voice. "YES! YES! Robby. We're step
brothers." He said as his emotions took over him and he too started to cry.
It took all three of them several minutes to convince Robert that the news
was the best it could have been. Gary and Rose left the boys together as
they started to kiss. It wasn't long before Arthur came in. He too had tears
of joy falling down across his cheeks as he joined in the embrace with
Robert and Simon.
