Ever since Rajin collapsed It seemed that Shane calmed down a bit and his
cold spell was over but they have been out for 2 days now.

Gene requested that he stay in order to help. I wonder if he and Shane have
something going on.?

Howie had to go home and get a change of cloths. I also wondered how much
these two knew.

I could feel things around us changing, even thought me and Jelani hadn't
gone through a extreme like these two I know what they were going through
and and that something was also happening to us two.

We decided against calling the guys just to be safe, I really didn't know
Gene and Howie and if Rajin was in trouble who knows what would be
uncovered.

We were all downstairs Getting something to drink. It may seem selfish but
I thought we should try and not worry so much about them, some how I knew
they were together.

(Shane)

After going thought the light, everything had gone dark. I feel the warmth
again on my body. There was light in the room I could see it through my eye
lids. I felt my fingers move bit and I clutched the sheets.

Opening my eyes I realized that I was in my room . I sat up real slow so
not to lose balance and fall back down. I saw that the sun was setting and
the clouds were moving aside to reveal the moon. I turned my head slowly
when I heard a groan. They must have brought him my room and put him on the
cot.


'Hey bro, how you feeling?" "Well besides my back from sleeping on this
cheap as cot I'm good."

"What ever." "I wonder where everyone is." I asked getting up to go to my
closet and pulling on some sleeping pants and wife-beater. I stumbled a bit
and Rajin turned quick to try and catch me but I had caught my balance.

"Probably downstairs, I doubt they are far." Ra suggested.

"Well lets go meet our fans." I breathed out hoping they were nice to Gene.

We walked down stairs and saw them watching TV. I could tell that all of
them weren't into the TV it just seemed to be more of a distraction but
than any entertainment.

We were trying walk as quietly as possible but was given away when I bumped
the desk and caused a couple of pencils and pens to clatter.

"Shane, Rajin.!!" Jelani and Remy Jumped up rush to hug us. I was hoping
they would remember the situation and see that they would mow over us if
they kept their speed. Luckily they did and pulled back a bit. And hugged
us.

"Hey were ok." "Are you sure?" Remy asked but his eyes asked a bigger
question. "Yes everything is done."

He smiled a sigh of relief and looked over to Gene.

"Your friend Nick was here the whole time, is there anything you would like
to tell us?" He asked hinting. "Him, no he not even..Shut up." I laugh a
bit smacking him on the shoulder. I noticed that Remy had called him Nick
so they must have gotten a little aquatinted.


He stood off to the side as if he was out of place with his hands shoved in
his pockets. I escaped Remy's grasp and walked to him.

"Hey." I had to smile to myself, all that had happened and he was all
nonchalant about it and was like 'Hey' "Hey yourself, Nick I wanted to say
thank you. You helped me out a lot when I was sick."

(Nick)

Hey!!! That's it all I could say. I mean I meet someone out side of the
group that I can totally talk too and relate with and I almost lose it all
in a day that had me scared shitless and all I can say is HEY!!

And now he's thanking me, oh see there's his hand he wants to shake.

I want to tell him how scared I was but how with his brothers here without
looking like a pussy?

Oh fuck it I'm sick of this macho bullshit he is my friend that I care for
and that's it.

(Narrator)

Nick pulled his hands from his pocket and totally bypassed the handshake
and pulled Shane into a hug.

"Dude you had me scared shitless." He whisper into Shane's ear like a kid
with a secret.

"I know and I'm sorry, but you had my back all the way and I'm ok now so
don't worry ok."

"Yeah." Nick nodded acting like he was fixed his hair but really catching a
stray tear as he pulled away.

Shane and Rajin were still feeling a little out of it so they decided to
turn in and soon was followed by Jelani and Remy and Nick and howie
retreated to Nick's house.

The next day Shane was up and revved with the sun.

"Hey hey wake up!" He called from downstairs.

He jogged out of his backdoor and hopped Nicks fence and was at his back
door. He rung the door bell twice. Through the curtains he could see Nick
moving through the house slowly to the front door. Opening the door he saw
nobody around so he turned and headed back towards the stairs.

Shane rung the door bell again and Nick woke up a bit more and realized
that it was the back door. Going over to it he saw it was Shane and granted
a hello.

"Oh wake up." Shane urged. "It's to early." Nick wined. "What ever man, it
bueatiful out." Shane shouted.

"Ugh, I like it better when you were in your bed and quiet." Nick argued
but still put on a pot of coffee to help him wake up.

"You don't mean that' besides you know you love me."

Shane giggled. As soon as Nick was done Shane told him to come straight
over when he was dressed.

Shane ran back home and started on breakfast, Getting Nick to go shopping
would be easy but his brothers were a different story.

Getting back he made a hotel style contental breakfast. He added some of
their favorites spices and even adapted to Rajin weird habit that he picked
up from Justin and had 4 types of cereal.

Rajin came shuffling into the kitchen Shane said hi and shook his head at
the confirming grunt he received. Rajin was on his second bowl when he
finally started talking.

"So how do you plan on getting them to go." Rajin knew his bro all to well
and it came to no surprise to Shane.

"Well this time before I come up with a crazy plan I think I just am going
to ask, and if not plan B is sure to work.

Just then Nick came to the back door still looking very tired with Howie by
his side.

They were let in and Shown there seats.

There was a flow of light chatter between them. "So what do you like to do
Howie?" Rajin asked.

"Well I love to sing, paint, and cook a little." "Really what music do you
listen to?" "Um basically anything there are so many."

"What about you?" Howie ask in turn. "Well N'sync, Craig David, Keke Wyatt,
Destiny Child,3LW, Britney Spears, Christina Aguliera, Nickel Back, Linkin
Park, P.O.D. There's are a lot.

"What about our music." Howie asked. "Huh?" Shane and Rajin asked at the
same time. Howie was going to say something when Nick cut in for him. "He
meant our kind of music but you pretty much said what we like." Nick smiled

Howie just looked at Nick questioningly but all Nick would do was give a
awkward smile.

Remy and Jelani came downstairs. "Oh man , it's the continental he must
want something." Remy stated as he picked up his plate.

"Knowing him and he has an empty house he probably wants to go shopping."

Nick's eyes lit up.

"Really you wanna go out shopping." "Ix ney." Rajin elbowed him.

"Hell yeah, do you?" Shane asked very excited.

"Now you've done it." "How bad could it be?" Nick asked digging into his
plate.

(Later At The Mall)

"How bad could it be?" Howie repeated Nick's earlier comments.

"I know and I'm sorry." Nick moaned.

"But look at him, he looks so happy."

"Yeah," Howie grinned. "Well Shopping has been known to do that to you as
well.

Nick just nodded to acknowledge his comment.

"Um Nick about earlier, what does he know?"

"Ok look I know it may seem strange but I don't think he knows us, I mean
as Backstreet Boys. And it feels kinda good not being connected to that."

"Yeah but what if he finds out with out you telling him." He warned. "I
know I will talk to him soon but for now lets enjoy it."

(Meanwhile)

"Shane what up with you and Nick?" "Nothing why?"

"Why, he a major hottie." "Hold up I don't even know if he's gay and who
say's I like him."

"You too are kinda close, and when we said he was hot you didn't deny it."

"Well I don't think he is like that." "Does he know you are?"

"No not yet, but I think it's a need to know basis."

The two BSB sped up to catch back up to the group and decide what they were
going to do next.

Going through the mall some more Shane and jelani got into an argument in
front of the electronics store.

"What going on?" Nick asked Remy. "Oh they are arguing again, this time
about being a better builder." Rajin answered looking into one of the
windows. "Give it a few seconds and it will end in a bet and a lot of shit
talk."

Soon Shane and Jelani were infact in a argument over who could build
better.

"Whatever what about that time you thought you could make the ultimate
action cartoon."

Jelani said with a knowing smirk.

"What the kids in the testing studio had smiles on there faces." "And drool
and zoned out looks and that one that was so 'happy' he dropped to the
floor.... That was a seizure you ditz."

"Hey who knew?" Shane shrugged as he started walking again. "Ok well how
much you wanna bet I can totally make something that will rival anything
you can come up with."

"Oh come on." "No really we will have until Friday and then we will see
who's is better."

"And what do I get when I when?" Jelani asked liking the idea. "Well the
winner..that's me..get's his laundry done by the loser.that's you."
