Hey people I've been away for some time but I'm going to try and get
back on my horse.

How did you do this? A question Jelani kept asking over and over. I could
do nothing but grin as I kept walking from my room to his depositing
laundry. Hell half of it wasn't dirty just something for him to do.

"Shane!" He was getting mad now. "Look Jelani it's ok I understand
your not used to losing but it's a new day and well look you lost." It
sounded bitchy but I said it with a smile. I no doubt had won Nick said
it had to hands down.

(Earlier that day.)

"Jelani I mean your bird is cool and all but he basically made a mini
universe in the confines of your basement." He was stunned but not as
dumbfounded as Jelani.

Nick had to go home but I promised I would show him more of my mini
world.

So now after I was finished I wanted to show the other guys what I had
done.

"So this is what was down here." Remy said with a smirk. This surprised
both Jelani and I. "YOU KNEW!!!" "Well no not exactly but my specialty
is in the air itself and I kept getting a draft from that door but when I
looked down there it didn't seem right so I left well nuff alone." He
grinned and looked at Jelani. "But I see someone needs more training,
cause your posed to be our `energy freak' and you didn't feel `this'
drawing power?"

"Well no..I.." "It's not his fault I jumped in for him. I made it for
us, it has to many dampeners he wouldn't have noticed the change in
flow. But that brings me to why I made this. Well you know after what
happened with me and Rajin things are advancing as they were said they
would."

"I should kick your ass after that little stunt you pulled you know
things were going to get crazy." Remys' eye's hardened on me but just
as quickly they softened. "But I understand." "So you two are active,
are you ok?"

"Well I've been active for a while now especially since I got a
man..." Rajin grinned. "But if you mean our powers have been activated
then I think so just not in this realm." "Yeah." I chimed in. "I can
feel it there but how do I use it?"

"It will take a bit of practice but you will get the hang of it."
Jelani told us in his text book manor. "Yeah the more you use it the
more it will become apart of your normal being." "Well how do you use
it?" I asked them both."

"Well it not like we are masters at it we are but novices. Hell I am
just able to blow over a trash can or two." Remy shrugged. "Yeah and I
just barely keep my laptop charged." Jelani added.

"Well how do you bring it into the Meta physical?" That part is the 1st
step then it becomes much easier. Jelani." Remy had us pay attention as
he brought a small amount of his powers to the surface. He put his hands
together and rubbed them real fast as if trying to warm up. Then as he
slowly pulled them apart you could hear small pops. It got far enough
where you could see clear in-between them and there he held what I guess
you would call a ball of lightning.

"Wow that doesn't hurt or anything?" I ask. "No way, it's apart of
me. Apart of whom I am, the power itself feeds off of emotion, cause when
I get to tense things happen." "Yeah I remember when Shane was
attacked. I don't think that thunder storm was a coincidence." Remy
remembered.

"So what how bout you two give it a try." Jelani offered as he let his
spark fizzle out. "Ok." We both answered ready to give it a try.

I closed my eyes and tried to remember how I did it in my mind. I just
thought of water and opened my eyes when I felt a drip in my hand. I
thought it would be an ice rock but it was single drip not even tears
worth.

"Concentrate harder." Remy instructed to us both. I guess Rajin was
having trouble as well. I focused at the quickly depleting drip in my
hand and noticed as I thought little bubble formed over my hand. The
hardened I tried the more water formed until till I finally focused
enough to form a slightly dripping water orb in my hand.

"Good work but look at your mess." Jelani noted the rather large puddle
at my feet. Sorry I grinned but broke my concentration and my orb burst
and was all on the floor.

"!!Damn!!." I cursed "Hey its easier to manipulate exiting portions of
elements then bring you own into being. Try reaching out to it." Remy
guided. I pulled at the water that lay at my feet and it began to look as
if I were playing it in reverse as it came to my hand leaving less than
what was on the floor from my earlier attempt. I began to reach for it
when Rajin stopped me. "Let me."

It was then I knew it was tied to us and how we were, cause Rajin could
be very artistic and he manipulated his powers like he was drawing with
it. Using his pointer finger he held it as if he were pointing upwards
and moved it in a slight circle moving just his finger than his hand and
then his whole arm. A ring of fire had formed above his head and he had
stop moving his arm and pointed to the wet spot. The ring descended and
evaporated what the mini ducts in the floor weren't handling.

"You have to be careful of your surroundings though, especially you
Rajin. With your powers active and it being fire based you could easily
cause a dangerous situation." Jelani warned. "It was that easy for
you?" It was amazing how easy he just controlled his powers so easily.
"I just pictured it in my mind and it came to be." He said with a
shrug.

"So now what." Jelani asked looking at the controls. "Now we train,
and prepare." Remy replied. "But for what?" We know we are different
and that we are here for a reason but what is that reason?"

"I.....I do not know for sure" Remy lowered his head. "So what are we
to sit here and wait for something to happen?" Rajin asked getting a bit
angered. You could see flicks of flame start to lap off of his skin and
the heat cause his lengthy hair stir in a heat raise "Cause I for one
don't plan to play that game, I have a life now and someone I care for
and being stuck in a over groan video game is not my plan of the day."

"Hey bro calm down, I'm sure he didn't mean like a 24/7 kind of
thing." I tried "Of course not I just mean we have to realize if we
don't get this together then we could be in a world of trouble."

"Ok so when do we start?" He tried to smile.

Jelani told us our plan for the next week.

On Monday Rajin and I were caught back up with our hand to hand combat if
was hard because the older two seemingly didn't take a break from it and
were much more skilled than us.

Tuesday was a weight training day where Rajin and I teamed up and broke a
mean ole sweat.. well he did I cheated with my powers and stayed cool

Wednesday was a meditating day where we trained to use our powers in new
ways and to access them easier. Rajin gave me a few pointers and I was
able to show him some things as I learned from his tips.

Thursday was the resting day. I decided to spend time with Nick, we
hadn't seen each other in a bit and he said he had remained quiet bored.

"So what's be happening Shane?" He asked as we sat down in the mall at
a table on the outer deck. He was wearing a very nice red shirt and khaki
pants. Well maybe the shirt was just basic it's just how he wore it that
made it look so good. I had on a tight light blue/gray shirt that I had
my sleeves rolled and black slacks. "I haven't seen you in a while are
you still felling ok?" I was touched at his concern, but didn't really
know how to answer his question. And stalled a bit. "If you don't want
to tell me its ok, I didn't mean to pry." "No way dude, its totally
fine, I ...I mean we have just been getting used to the house and setting
things up but if you ever want to just come on by and say was sup." I
lifted my sunglasses and looked him in his eyes. "It meant a lot to me
that you hung in there by me."

(NICK)

I hadn't seen Shane for almost a week and was glad to hang out with him.
That time alone didn't help much with how I felt about him if anything
it made it worse, as if he was avoiding me. Maybe the beach thing was a
mistake. Dude!!! What if he's not even gay I could have fucked up royal.

Maybe I should just come out to him and see how he takes it...

We decided to grab a bite to eat and to sit in the sun. I was saying
something but he lifted his sunglasses and I got to look into his eyes. I
could kiss him he looked so perfect. The sunlight played in his gelled up
hair and his gray eyes just screamed to be looked into. His skin looked
flawless and his lips moist from just licking them arrrgh I have to do
something.

"No problem dude I'd do that for any of my friends." Did I just blow
him off or did he realize that I was trying to say something. JUST SAY
IT!!! I screamed to my self.

"Well we should be heading back I have a big day tomorrow." He said
before I could say anything else.

"K"

He looked a little rejected, but I didn't mean him to be a joy kill, I
just needed to get some rest cause of tomorrow.
