Previously on Coming Back Into Your Heart:

     A couple of hours, a pack of cigarettes, two more bottles of vodka,
and a lot of tears later Alex finished his story. Kevin gently cradled Alex
against him as the rest of the guys tried to stop the flow of tears down
their own faces. AJ also had Nick wrapped tightly in his arms as though he
would never let him go again.

Suddenly Brian stood and walked over to the couch and pulled Alex out of
Kevin's arms and into his own, hugging him tightly. Alex cried softly onto
Brian's shoulder, pouring out all his anger and grief. Pretty soon he felt
more arms surround him and knew that the other guys had wrapped themselves
around him as well, giving him the comfort that he had longed for but had
not been able to find with any of the friends that he had found before
these guys. He finally had a family again.

Chapter 7

     After a few moments Alex pulled out of the hug and smiled at the guys,
wiping at his tears. "Thank you. You can't understand how much it means to
me to know that I have...people to love and...trust again, and to know that
they love and trust me too." He said softly looking down at his feet, then
looked up and there was a determination in his eyes that only Kevin had
seen before.

It was the same look that Kevin had seen on a very young man's face years
ago when he said that he would become the best in the game.

     "I swear that I will do everything in my power to keep you all safe."
Alex said softly looking each of them in the eye one at a time, his words
had the weight of a vow and each of the guys knew that Alex was telling the
truth.

"Hey there, Alex." Kevin said gently placing a hand on Alex's cheek, "You
are not on your own here okay, babe? We are all in this together. And I
suggest that in the free time that we usually spend playing basketball or
something that Alex and I should teach y'all how to defend yourselves
against people with weapons when you don't have one. Cause I sure as hell
am not letting Nick even hold a gun!" Kev said grinning. And the other guys
laughed while Nick tried to look injured.

     Alex laughed and said, "Yeah I agree with you there Kev. It's
important that we make sure that if there is ever a time that we are not
there that they can hold their own."

Nick jumped up from his seat, "So what are we waiting for? Why don't we
start now?" he asked excitedly.

Kevin grinned at him, "Mostly Nick, because we have to be at the stadium in
an hour for rehearsal."

     Nick frowned, "Damn. Oh well, what about after?"

Alex thought about it, "How long is your rehearsal usually?"

     "About 2 to 3 hours is the norm." Howie said looking at him.

Alex's eyebrows shot up in surprise, "Oh really? Will you guys be up to it
after all that dancing?" he asked concerned.

     AJ shrugged, "Sure. We have gone off and played basketball for hours
after a rehearsal before."

Alex nodded, "Alright but if you guys ever start to feel that I am pushing
you too hard let me know okay? I don't need anyone getting pissed at me
because their exhausted and me not know it."

     The guys all nodded and Kevin stood, pulling Alex up as well, "Alright
guys. We want to be ready to go in....half an hour. Do NOT be late." He
said sternly looking at AJ and Nick who both had innocent expressions on
their faces.

Once in their room again Kevin pulled Alex into his arms and hugged him
hard. "I am proud of you Alex. That took a lot of guts and I know how hard
it was."

     Alex smiled at Kevin, "Well, as hard as it was I am glad that I did
it. It has made them trust me a little bit more."



Half an hour later both Alex and Kevin were standing in the hall waiting on
the rest of the guys. Kevin had changed into sweatpants and a wifebeater
while Alex was still in jeans a black t-shirt. He had a jacket on as well
that concealed the gun tucked into the back on his jeans. He had his permit
for a concealed weapon in his wallet just in case he was asked about it.

     Kevin looked at his watch as Brian and Howie came out of their
respective rooms, then walked to Nick and AJ's room and pounded on the
door, "Nick! AJ! If you two aren't here in two minutes I am going in there
to drag you both out by your hair! And I don't give a shit if you are
naked!"

He walked back over to where the others were giggling, especially
Alex. Kevin just smiled at him and asked, "What are you laughing at?"

     Alex laughed harder until the other three were staring at him like he
was crazy and he gasped for air trying to tell them what he found so funny,
"I'm sorry...I was just remembering how many times you have been late to
things before."

Brian and Howie stared, "He's never late."

     Alex grinned having finally contained his laughter, "That is so not
true. We were once two hours late for a meeting with the umm management of
our company simply because I couldn't make him untie me." Alex said
bursting into another fit of laughter when he saw how red Kevin was
turning.

"You were tied up?" Nick asked coming down the hall and grinning at Kevin,
"Kinky Kevin. I never thought that you would be into that kind of thing."
Kevin's blush deepened even further as all the guys laughed.

     "Alright, enough teasing me." Kevin said trying to gain control of the
situation, and ushered them all into the elevator. Once in there he grabbed
Alex in a headlock, viciously giving him a noogie. "And if you ever open
your mouth again with the intent of embarrassing me I will gag you."

Alex grinned, "Well, that's a new one Kev. You always seem to like what I
say."

     The rest of the guys burst into laughter again as Kevin blushed.

Once outside the elevator they could see and hear the mob of teenaged girls
talking outside, waiting for them to make their appearance.

	Alex turned and looked at them, "Will the limo be waiting outside
for you guys?"

Kevin nodded, "Yeah, it is right past those girls."

	"Okay, I go first, Kevin goes last, anyone has a problem just
yell." Alex said looking each of them in the eyes so that they would truely
understand how important this was. Each of the guys nodded solemnly and
they began making their way outside.

Once the guys were within sight distance of the girls the screaming began,
and Alex began to push his way through them with the guys directly behind
him.

	Once Alex reached the limo he pulled the door open and ushered
Nick, AJ, and Howie into the car and waited for Kevin to catch up. Once Kev
was also in the car Alex gave a quick, surveying glance at the crowd. In
the back was the tall, older man that he and Kevin had noticed last
time. He could just be a fan, but Alex didn't like that this was the second
time that he had seen him.

He slid into the limo and looked at the guys, "Did y'all notice that man
this time?" he asked of the silence.

	They all nodded and Nick asked, "This time? You mean it was the
same one?" Both Alex and Kevin nodded.

AJ asked quietly, "What does that mean?"

	Alex and Kevin exchanged a look and Alex answered, "I'm not sure,
but I honestly don't think that it can mean anything good."
