don't think that was grammatically correct) because I'm insane. Oops, did I

Chapter Six:
Wrestling With Emotions

"Um...sure, I guess...I mean, of course! We'd love for you to join
us, Lance!" JC said cheerfully into the phone. His face showed nothing of
that happy emotion.
Justin listened in to the conversation, his own face falling as he
heard the news. He had been hoping to spend the evening alone with JC. Had
he seen the older man's face, he would have realized that JC had been
looking foreword to that prospect as well.
As JC hung up the phone, Justin turned towards the older man. "So
Lance is joining us, huh?" he asked, trying not to sound too glum.
Forcing a smile, JC replied, "Yep."
"So," Justin said, breaking the silence that fell between the two
men. "What do you want to do until he gets here?"
JC grinned slyly at his friend. "Make-out?" he suggested.
Justin laughed, but he was blushing a little, too. Turning away
from JC's gorgeous eyes- and body!- Justin quietly replied, "Um, no,
*seriously* Josh. What do you want to do?"
	JC laughed again as he fell back against his bed. "I don't know;
Scoop's hanging out with Chris and Joey until they leave, so we've got a
while."
"Really?" Justin asked, trying not to sound too excited. "How
long-er, when are they leaving?"
	"Around five, I think."
"Okay," Justin stated. "It's about two-fifteen now, so that gives
us..." the blonde trailed off as he began counting his fingers.
"Two hours and forty-five minutes," JC supplied for the younger
man.
"Shut-up, I was getting there!" Justin defended himself as JC
chuckled at him quietly.
"*Sure* you were, Curly," JC continued to tease the nineteen
year-old.
"Hey!" Justin yelled in mock-anger. "Don't make me come over
there!"
JC propped himself up on his arms, his legs still dangling over the
edge of the bed. "Come and get me," he taunted.
Justin took a step foreword before lunging at the brunette before
him. JC easily caught him, and the two began wrestling on the bed. After a
few minutes of rough-housing, they came to rest, both breathing heavily,
one on top of the other.
Rolling off of Justin, but keeping his arms firmly around the
younger man's waist, JC laid his head back onto one of the pillows. Justin
scooted back so that his body was up against JC's. Secure in each other's
arms, both young men drifted off to a content sleep.

"Finally!" Lance exclaimed, opening the door to Justin and JC's
shared hotel room in triumph. "Thank god Chris never gave his key to
Justin!" Walking into the room, Lance's mouth dropped open at the sight
that greeted him.
JC and Justin were laying on one of the beds, spooning.
"Um," Lance cleared his throat. "Am I interrupting anything?"
Justin began to stir. "Josh," he murmured before snuggling closer
to the man he mentioned. JC's arms around him tightened.
"Aw," Lance cooed quietly. /They've finally realized their feelings
for each other,/ he thought happily to himself. Suddenly another thought
struck him. He glanced over to the table in the corner of the room and saw
Justin's camera sitting on it. He walked over and picked up the camera,
before using it to take a picture of the new couple. He then replaced the
camera and made his way over to the bed.
"Okay guys, wakey-wakey!" He called, taping his two sleeping
bandmates on their shoulders. When neither stirred, Lance turned to more
drastic measures. He began playing "I want you back" by rhythmically
slapping the two on their heads.
"Josh, make him stop," Justin whined as JC moaned, signaling that
they were both awake, causing Lance to back off.
JC removed his arms from around Justin's waist to stretch
himself. "What time is it?" he asked, groggily sitting up so that he was
leaning against the headboard of the bed. As JC was rubbing his eyes
tiredly, Justin rolled over and curled up in the older man's lap, still
trying to sleep. JC laughed and began to stroke the blonde's soft, curly
hair.
Lance smiled at the two before giving them a more stern look. "It's
five thirty. I've been trying to get in here for a half an hour. You two
were sleeping really heavily. You must have been exhausted," he added
suggestively.
In his sleepy state, JC missed the implications of Lance's comment,
and simply replied, "Yeah, I guess. We had been wrestling around and just
kind of fell asleep."
"Oh-ho, `wrestling,' huh?" Lance chuckled, winking at JC. The
latter just blinked at his bandmate a few times. "Nevermind," Lance
muttered, still laughing to himself.
"Lance, would you *shut-up*," Justin snarled crankily. "I'm
*trying* to get some sleep here."
Still running his hands gently through Justin's hair, JC leaned
down so that his mouth was close to the younger man's ear. "Justin,
sweetie," he whispered. "C'mon, you gotta get up. If I had to, you have
to."
Justin smiled. He opened his eyes and JC moved his head back
up. Sitting up, he thought, /He called me "sweetie!"/ excitedly to himself.
Noting Justin's sudden change in mood, Lance wondered what JC had
said to him. /Must've been something about what they're gonna do later,/ he
thought to himself, a sly smile creeping onto his lips.
JC also noticed the change in his best friend's mood. "Glad you're
up," he said, smiling at Justin affectionately.
"Not for long!" Justin exclaimed, resting his head on JC's
shoulder.
"No, no, no," JC scolded, shaking Justin off. "You've got to stay
awake, Curly!"
"Why?" Justin whined, looking up at JC as adorably as he could
manage to after he had just woken up.
It worked. "Oh, all right," JC sighed. "I guess you can sleep for a
little while longer, while Lance and I get dinner and figure out which
movie we're going to watch."
"Yay!" Justin yelled, clapping his hands together like a child. He
smiled brightly up at JC, who ruffled his hair affectionately. However, his
smile quickly turned to a frown as JC began to stand up. "Where are you
going?" He asked, grabbing the older man's arm.
JC laughed. "To get dinner ready and decide on the movie, silly,"
he explained, pulling away from Justin. "Now go back to bed."
"B-but I thought that you were going to stay with me," Justin
protested, without realizing what he was saying.
Lance chuckled and shook his head ruefully. He was glad that those
two had finally gotten together. They were so cute!
"Just, we can't make Scoop do everything," JC gently told his
friend, kneeling down beside the bed, making his face level with Justin's.
Justin sighed. "Fine," he mumbled. He was going to roll away when
he saw JC lean foreword. Justin held his breath as the face of the object
of his affection was only inches away from his. He could feel his heart
begin to beat faster as the older man inched foreword...and planted a small
kiss on the end of his best friend's nose. Justin blushed sheepishly. What
had he been expecting, anyway? There was no way that JC was going to kiss
him. Well, not on the lips anyway.
JC smiled and stood up. "Get some rest," he softly
suggested. Justin nodded and rolled away, hoping to hide his reddened
cheeks.
/Wow,/ Lance thought from where he had been watching the two. /That
was intense! You can almost feel the surpressed passion between the two of
them. They must really *have* been exhausted earlier. "Wrestling" my ass!/
JC took a seat at the table in the small kitchen of his hotel room
and motioned for Lance to join him. Lance sat in the seat across from the
brunette, who had his back to the beds. He smiled as he saw Justin rolling
around restlessly.
"Okay, so do you want to get something big and just split it
between the three of us or what?" JC was asking the Mississipian, his tone
hushed.
"What?" Lance whispered back, turning his attention away from the
young man in the bed behind JC.
JC laughed quietly. "In a bit of a daze there, Lance? You wouldn't
think that I'm the one who was just rudely awakened."
"Hey, I wasn't rude! You're the one who wouldn't let me in," Lance
protested, his voice rising a bit.
"Now that I think about it, how *did* you get in, Scoop?" JC asked
as he realized that neither he nor Justin had let Lance in.
Lance grinned. "After I had knocked until my hands were red, I
remembered that Chris had left his key in me and Joey's room. I went back
and got it and then I just let myself in. After knocking for a few more
minutes, of course."
"You mean Chris left Justin's key," JC corrected, his voice the
same whisper he had been using since he and Lance had sat down at the
table. "Hand it over."
Lance laughed. "You know, with the way you two sleep, it might be
better if I *keep* it."
JC rolled his eyes, but he had to admit that the idea had
merit. "Whatever. Let's just decide on dinner."
"No problem," Lance consented as he began leafing through the menu.
"Oh, and Chris said that it's missing some pages, so..." JC began,
but Lance interrupted him.
"It's all right. It was just missing lunch, so we're in the clear,"
Lance informed his friend.
JC was looking at the dinner page with Lance when there was a sound
behind him. He turned to see Justin padding over to the table quietly. When
he saw JC looking at him, he smiled sheepishly.
"I couldn't sleep without my favorite pillow," he explained,
looking at his friend shyly.
	"Aw," Lance cooed.
JC glared at him. Turning back to Justin, who had now come up to
the table, he smiled and whispered, "Thanks, Just, that's sweet."
Justin smiled in appreciation of the compliment before moving
closer to the brunette beside him, who was holding out his arms. After
moving into the arm's reach, Justin allowed himself to be pulled into JC's
lap.
"There aren't anymore chairs," JC explained hastily.
Not sure if the comment was for him or Lance, Justin replied, "I
don't mind."
"Not that you *would,* Curly," Lance laughed.
Justin turned a deep shade of red. He was glad that JC couldn't see
his face.
"Leave Justin alone," JC growled, causing Lance to wonder what
brought on the serious reaction from someone who always joked with Justin
like that.
"Jace, I was only-" Lance began, but the look on JC's face stopped
him. Wanting to quickly change the subject, the southerner turned back to
the menu. "So, what do we want to eat?"
"We could just get some popcorn," Justin suggested.
"Oh, no," JC cut in. "I'm not letting you drink on an empty- or
nearly empty- stomach. Absolutely not."
Justin pouted until he spotted the dessert section. "Ooo," he
cooed. "Ice cream!"
"Justin-" JC began, but the young man in question interrupted him.
"Please, Josh?" He begged, turning slightly around in the older
man's lap so that he was facing him.
It didn't take long for JC to cave in. "Fine," he sighed. "But only
if you'll split it with me."
Justin beamed. This was better than he had hoped it would
be. "Sure!" he exclaimed, a little too enthusiastically.
JC didn't seem to notice. He just laughed and said, "Sometimes
you're just like a big baby, Just."
"Yeah," Justin smiled coyly. "But I'm your baby."
	Lance's mouth dropped open.
"You are," JC agreed, kissing Justin gently on the cheek.
Lance's mouth dropped open even further, though he didn't think it
was possible. "Uh, um, s-so a ch-chocolate sundae for you t-t-two," he
stuttered, turning back to the menu, feeling extremely awkward.
"You all right, Scoop?" Justin asked his friend, his voice full of
concern.
"Yeah," JC added from underneath the blonde. "You look like you're
burning up."
"I'm fine," the blonde muttered, getting up to place the order.
Justin and JC just looked at each other and shrugged.
