Previously...from "Reality of a Guardian Angel: A New Insight "

"Jase, you are my guardian angel. I will love you 'til my dying day for
what you've done for me. I would have never known my true love or been able
to face my friends or my mom and told them I was gay and still had them in
my life. I..." Justin's tears returned.

Justin and I held each other and cried. Lance became so upset, that JC,
Joey and Chris took him upstairs to Justin's room to lay down. JC returned
and walked over to Justin and me. He pulled me from Justin's grasp and
hugged me before leading me upstairs to be with Lance. Justin and Lynn
talked for hours while JC, Joey, Chris, Lance and I all calmed down, and
strangely enough, all fell asleep together on Justin's bed.

And now, "Reality of a Guardian Angel: Safely in My Arms"

I woke up when the bed moved and suddenly felt the weight of someone on top
of me. I opened my eyes to see Justin lying across the five of us with a
silly grin on his face. I couldn't help but start to giggle. Everyone was
slowly waking up to the sound of my giggles and the added 'presence.'

"Justin, I guess this is like a dream for you, Mr. 'Let me see some skin!'"
Everyone laughed as Justin grinned slyly and winked.

"Jase, this is better than a dream, it's REAL!" Justin smiled widely as I
looked into his eyes and realized how happy he was.

We all got up and rearranged ourselves on the bed. Justin told us all about
how Lynn had opened up and admitted that she had suspected Justin might have
been gay from the way he had looked at JC when he thought no one was
looking. He also explained to Lynn that he wasn't planning on going public
about being gay. Justin then surprised everyone.

"Jase, Lance. I didn't tell my mom, but she knows you two are a couple."
Justin had a serious expression on his face. Lance and I knew he spoke the
truth.

"And?" Lance said with some uncertainty.

"She thinks it's kinda cute. She promised not to say anything to your
family, Scoop. I think my mom realizes how difficult it is to confront
being gay, let alone confronting your family." Justin ruffled Lances now
bent and misplaced spiky hair.

"Good. Now I don't have to hide how I feel when I'm around her!" I looked
deeply into Lance's eyes and we both smiled.

Eventually, we all went back downstairs and found Lynn sleeping on the
couch. I decided to cook dinner for everyone and let the guys get
everything sorted out. I gave Lance the keys to my vehicle and he took Joey
and Chris back to their apartment so they could drop of their luggage and
change clothes. Lance, Joey and Chris stopped off at Lance's so Lance could
do the same. Once everyone was back together again, I went into the studio
while the guys and Lynn talked in the den. The roast and vegetables would
be ready in about thirty minutes, so I had some time to play the piano. I
started playing and singing nothing in particular. I was shocked when Lynn
touched my back.

"My God, Jason. That was beautiful!" Lynn looked at me in amazement.

"Please, call me Jase. All my friends do." I smiled at her and continued
to play.

"Can I ask you something?" Lynn said as she sat in the chair across the
room.

"Sure, anything!"

"Have you ever considered a career in music?" Lynn was serious.

"Sure, for about five seconds." I continued playing while we spoke.

"Why only five seconds?"

"Well, Lynn, music is a very private thing to me. It's my heart and soul.
I could never take something so personal and turn it into a career. I even
turned down Juilliard!"

"Really?"

"Yes. Music is my private place, where I can solve my problems and think
about everything the troubles me. It's my shelter from the storm, in a
way." I stopped playing and walked over to Lynn.

"I understand. It's just..." I cut Lynn off.

"It's just I'm so talented, right? Now I see where Justin gets his ability
to recognize talent." I laughed.

"Why do you say that?" Lynn looked puzzled.

"Let's just say I've had this conversation before." I escorted Lynn into
the kitchen as I checked on the roast.

Lynn set the table and asked the guys to come help. After we all ate and
talked, Lynn made the guys clean the kitchen while she and I continued
talking in the den. Once the kitchen was sorted out, everyone congregated
in the den. Lance came and sat in my lap and I kissed his neck softly.
Joey and Chris didn't even think when they cuddled together on the love
seat.

"You too? I never would have put that together!" Lynn said in shock.

"Well, such is the life of *N Sync plus one." Joey smiled, as did I when I
noticed everyone was looking at me. I then realized I was the 'plus one'
Joey had mentioned.

"If I didn't know any better, I'd think Red is a sentimental ol' softy at
heart! Chris, you must be good for Joey if you've got him sayin' things
like that!" I started grinning.

"Baby, Chris is OH SO GOOD for me!" Joey kissed Chris passionately and
everyone started laughing, including Lynn.

"Guys, don't take this the wrong way, but it's going to take me some time to
get used to all of the male-male passion stuff. I think I'll head to bed
and let you guys do what you do!" With that said, Lynn made her rounds and
hugged everyone before returning up stairs.

"Hey mom, when are you leaving to meet up with Paul and the kids?" Justin
had obviously forgotten to ask earlier.

"Oh honey, I'm sorry. I've got to leave tomorrow afternoon. I wish I could
stay longer, but I know you guys are leaving on Monday morning to start
promoting the release. I didn't expect to have to leave so soon, but the
whole Europe thing was last minute, and I didn't have time to re-book my
flight out tomorrow. I hope you're not mad?" Lynn was sincere.

"No, I'm not mad. I just don't get to see that much of you any more, that's
all." Justin hung his head.

"Once you start getting ready for the tour, I'll be here for most of that
time. It's just a month or so away until we can have some quality time
together. Besides, I know someone who can keep you happy until then." Lynn
said this as she looked at JC. JC kissed Justin's neck and whispered 'I
love you' in his ear. "Good night!"

We all said 'good night' and then contemplated watching a movie. Every one
decided against it and decided a sleep over in Justin's room would be fun.
It was silly in a way, since there was room enough for everyone to have a
bed, but I realized the guys knew I needed them, and with the prospect of
being gone for a month, they knew I would need to be with them as much as
possible now.

After everyone settled down on the bed or floor in Justin's room, we quickly
fell asleep. The day had been long and with all the emotional tension, we
were all exhausted.

...I was standing on the side of a stage, somewhere. I looked up and saw a
huge stage light swaying vicariously directly above JC. I caught the
glimmer of a metal object falling seconds before the light started to fall.
I ran toward JC and pushed him out of the way of the falling light moments
before is crashed onto the stage. JC was thrown clear; however, the
brackets that should have held the light in place hit my left shoulder. I
felt an odd sensation as the metal broke my collarbone and sliced into my
flesh, causing blood to flow readily. I collapsed on the stage as I heard
Lance scream 'NOOO'...and then I woke up. I was trembling and sweating like
mad.

"Jase, what's wrong?" Lance asked sleepily.

"Nothing, just a dream." I couldn't say anything. I didn't know when or
where my dream took place, I just knew I couldn't worry the guys with my
nonsense.

Morning came too soon. I hadn't been able to go right back to sleep after
my dream, so I was exhausted. When I became aware of the world around me, I
realized I was alone. Just when I was about to get up, Lance walked in with
a large cup of coffee. I smiled at how well he knew me already. I'm a
BITCH in the morning until I have my first cup of coffee.

"Hey, I brought you somethin' to make your day start a little better."
Lance carefully handed me the cup as I sat up and leaded my back against the
bed.

"Thank you, Boo." I took a sip and closed my eyes.

"Are you sure you're OK? You want to tell me about your dream?" Lance was
concerned.

"No. I need to think about it for a while." Lance knew from my tone that I
was serious.

"OK. Just remember, when you're ready to talk, I'm here." Lance got up to
leave.

"I love you!" I looked at Lance as he turned to gaze into my eyes.

"I love you too!" Lance walked out and left me to finish my coffee alone.

I took a shower and raided Joey's closet again. I walked downstairs and
heard laughter coming from the dining room. I stood out of sight for a
minute as I heard Justin telling Lynn about how we first met in the MEN'S
ROOM in Dallas at the airport. I continued to listen as everyone talked
about all the sayings I constantly confused Joey with and how many pranks we
had played on each other. I entered the room as Joey tried to use one of my
expressions.

"That's about as fresh as a dead buzzard!" I walked past everyone as I
entered the kitchen to refill my coffee.

"SEE WHAT I MEAN! He's always got something crazy to say!" Joey was beside
himself. The entire house was filled with hysterical laughter. I returned
to the dining room and sat by Lance, never cracking a smile.

"You're right, boys. Jase IS a hand full." Lynn started laughing again.

That afternoon, I took everyone to the airport to send Lynn on her way to
her husband and kids minus Justin. The day was spent goofing off at
Justin's and then I took Joey and Chris home. When I returned, Lance, JC
and Justin were in a deep discussion, which stopped the minute I entered the
room.

"What are y'all up to?" I glared jokingly at JC, then Justin, and then
Lance.

"Nothin' at all, honest!" Lance stated quickly as he avoided my gaze.

"Yah, and I'm Queen Elizabeth!"

"Well, your Majesty, we humble ourselves in your presence." Justin fell out
laughing after he said that. We all joined in the laughter.

"You know, Capt'n, I think you're finally getting' the hang of it!" I
smiled at Justin and play punched him in the arm.

That evening, Lance and I returned to his, our apartment. I took him
upstairs and drew a hot bath. I returned to see Lance puttering around the
room putting dirty clothes in one pile, and putting the clean clothes from
his suitcase back into his dresser. I cleared my throat and got his
attention.

"Your bath awaits!" I grabbed his arm and drug him into the bathroom.

I slowly undressed Lance, taking my time and memorizing every inch of his
body all over again. I led him to the bathtub and he got in. I removed my
clothes and sat down in the hot water, pulling him down between my legs. I
soaped up a washcloth and started washing his back. I washed every inch of
him that evening and once the water was getting cool, I got out and dried
Lance from head to toe.

That night, we made love not twice, but three times. Lance and I fell
asleep in each other's arms and never moved until the phone rang the next
afternoon. Joey had called Justin and JC and wanted to get together for
lunch. The day flew by as we sat around talking about the new album and how
busy they would be. I was amazed at how excited they all were about getting
to perform with Gloria Estefan at the Oscar Awards Ceremony the end of
March. As night fell upon us, I realized that Lance needed to get home and
pack since they were leaving early the next morning. Monday's still SUCKED,
even though I wasn't working.

Bright and early the next morning, I took the guys to the airport and sent
them on their way. During the next two weeks, I busied myself looking for a
house to call my new home. Lance and I spoke at least once a day, every
day. I found a gorgeous two-story home with a huge yard, pool and a large
perimeter security fence enclosing the entire property. Once the
inspections were made, the papers signed, and the money exchanged, I had a
new home just in time to surprise my Boo.

It was the weekend of the Oscars and I decided to fly out to LA and surprise
Lance and the guys. I knew they had to practice the following day I would
arrive, but I didn't care. If only to be with Lance for a moment. I was
tired of the phone relationship and needed to see him, to touch him, to be
with him, to hold him safely in my arms. So, I flew out to LA and arrived
just in time to pull a really good joke. I had contacted Jive and talked
with the PR rep that had been at the Press Conference. I didn't go into any
detail, but told her I needed to visit with the guys about some issues
occurring back in Orlando. She said she would call the guys to let them
know I was coming, but then I asked her to let me surprise them.
Reluctantly, she agreed to play along and called the hotel to inform them to
allow me access to the guys' floor. All was set.

I lucked out and spotted a young man pushing a food cart up to Lance's door.
I tipped him and told him I would deliver the food in person. Since I had
given the guy a C-note, he didn't make much of a fuss. Now, the fun could
begin. Luckily, when I flew out, I wore black slacks and a white dress
shirt, so I 'looked' like one of the hotel staff. I knocked at the door.

The door opened and I ducked my head down and pushed the cart into the room.
Lance had answered the door and wasn't facing me. As Lance turned around
trying to get money out of his pocket for a tip, he looked up to see my
smiling face.

"I hope I get more than some fuckin' money out of this!" I startled
everyone. JC, Justin, Joey and Chris had been sitting around a table not
paying any attention.

"What...when...how..." Lance couldn't find the words he needed.

"Now, if the interview is over, can I at least get a kiss?" I walked toward
Lance and kissed him passionately.

"JASE! You're here!" Joey jumped up as did everyone else and moved in to
hug me.

"No, this is a figment of your imagination, Red!" Joey damn near knocked me
over when he hugged me.

"What are you doing out here? Is something wrong?" JC asked me this and I
got an odd sensation.

"No, I just missed y'all. Besides, I've got some great news I couldn't tell
y'all over the phone." I smiled as a thought entered my mind.

"What is it?" Lance asked enthusiastically.

"I think y'all better sit down for this one." I walked passed every one and
sat down on the couch.

"Jase, what's up?" Justin had a worried look on his face. I lowered my
head to speak.

"Well, I'm pregnant." Silence. Dead silence.

"Huh?" Good ol' Joey.

I looked up and started laughing uncontrollably. I couldn't help it.
Obviously in the time we had been separated, the guys had forgotten how big
of a smart-ass I really was. Moments later, we were all laughing.

"Seriously, though. I do need to tell y'all somethin' important. But
first, here's a little present for each of you." I fished five envelopes
out of my carry-on bag and handed each of them an envelope. Each one opened
their envelope and looked confused.

"What's this?" Chris asked as he scrutinized the key and slip of paper with
five numbers on it.

"It's your key to my new home. I figured since each of you has been open
with me, I would be a real PRICK not to return the favor. So, when I got my
key, I had five copies made: one for each of you." Everyone got up and
hugged me except Lance. "Boo, what's wrong?" I sat beside him.

"You know what this means, don't you?"

"What do you mean?" I was a little confused.

"It means we'll NEVER have any time to ourselves. These guys will be spyin'
on our asses 24/7, especially Mr. 'Let me see some skin' over there!" Lance
busted out laughing.

"Smart-ass!" I kissed him as we both continued to laugh.

"So, you came all the way out to LA just to give us keys to a place we
haven't even seen?" Justin looked at me with a silly grin.

"Well, no. But I could show you some pictures of my place I got developed
before I got on the plane if you're nice to me!" I play pouted.

"PLEASE, PLEASE! I'll be nice, I PROMISE!" Justin was going into High
Drama mode.

"Well, I guess so." I pulled out the pictures and let the guys have a
look-see.

"DAMN, phat pad!" Chris's eyes bugged out as he looked over the pictures
and passed them on.

"How much did this place cost?" Lance said, never lifting his eyes from the
pictures.

"1.2" I stated flatly.

"1.2 MILLION DOLLARS!" Lance looked at me with eyes so wide he looked like
a barn owl.

"Yah, but it's got 6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a huge den, a gourmet kitchen, a
study I'm going to put my piano in, and a pool. Best of all, it has a
perimeter fence for security since the people I will be having as regular
guests are like these big Pop-music stars with some crazy fans who do crazy
shit. So, when Kevin, Brian, Howie, AJ and Nick come over, I don't..." I
never got to finish what I was saying. All five of the guys tackled me and
started tickling me and hitting me with pillows.

Finally, we calmed down and the guys decided to eat. Lance kept trying to
feed me his food, but I had eaten on the plane and wasn't hungry. (Airplane
food will do that to you some times!) After the guys finished eating, I
asked them what their schedule was like.

"Tomorrow, we have rehearsals with Gloria and then we have to get ready for
the show. Why?" Lance looked at me lovingly.

"Well, I just thought I might tag along, if it's OK with you morons!"
Again, I was clobbered with a pillow.

"Yah, I think we can arrange that." Lance immediately started making calls.

"Hey JC, what's that on your neck! Did you have a run in with a Vampire or
somethin'?" Justin blushed as I asked this.

"I said I was sorry! How was I to know you would take a hickey so quick?"
Justin grabbed JC and pulled him in for a kiss.

"So, we have a little Vampire in our midst. Hmm, Boo? If you EVER come
home with a hickey anywhere on you, I hope *N Sync could make it as a
quartet!" I started laughing at Justin's shocked look.

The rest of the evening went by quickly. We all decided to go out clubbin'
and didn't get in until after 2AM. Lance and I fell asleep almost
instantly, after we made love of course.

The morning came and the phone rang with that annoying computer bitch voice
from the automated wake-up call system. I rolled over and watched Lance
sleep peacefully. I decided to wake him up in a special way.

"Umm...oh yessss...JASE, I'm CUMMING!" Lance screamed loudly as he came down
my throat. I emerged from the covers and walked to the bathroom.

Lance and I showered together before the guys came over for breakfast. When
Joey and Chris entered, they both were grinning at Lance and me, but refused
to tell us why. JC and Justin pulled the same shit, grinning like a fox in
a hen house.

"OK. What in the FUCK is wrong with you four? Did you just now realize
that I'm so damn cute?" Lance play slapped my face.

"Don't be a tease!" Lance smiled and kissed me gently.

"No, it's just not every day we wake up to 'Umm...oh yessss...JASE, I'm
CUMMING!' being heard next door. Lance turned 9 shades of red.

After breakfast, everyone got ready to go to the Staples Center for
practice. I was concerned about my presence, with the whole 'TABLOID THANG'
and all. But, either everyone was too busy to notice, or no one cared,
except one individual.

"Gloria, I want you to meet a very special friend of ours. Jase, this is
Gloria Estefan. Gloria, this is Jase!"

"Jase, is it. I hope these guys haven't been too much to handle! It's a
pleasure to meet you. And please accept my condolences on your loss!"
Gloria put her hand out as I shook it.

"Con mucho gusto, Gloria! Estes muchachos? Claro! Siempre me molestan con
las chanzas! A proposito, muchas gracias por su tristeza." I hugged her.

"Hablas bien la lengua! De donde eres?"

"Soy de Tejas, pero acabo de mover a Orlando y compre' una casa alli'."

"Excuse me, but what the hell is goin' on?" Joey looked at me in amazement.

"What do you mean? I was just talkin' with Gloria until I was so RUDELY
interrupted." I turned to Gloria and saw her smiling widely at me.

"Why didn't you tell us you spoke Spanish?" Chris spoke up.

"I don't remember anyone askin' me! Now, if you guys don't mind, I was in
the middle of a conversation." I turned back to Gloria and was about to
speak when Joey started in on me.

"Nachos, tacos, burritos, guacamole..." Joey was doing his best Hispanic
accent, which SUCKED!

"Red, you best get to steppin', 'cause this is fixin' to get UGLY! Gloria,
please excuse me for just a moment!" I ran after Joey and chased him until
Lance stepped in.

"Guys, we really need to get on with practice. Now, don't make me have to
sit the both of you in separate corners!" Lance was not joking.

"Yes, mother!" Joey and I said in unison.

We all moved over to the section of the stage where Gloria and the guys
would perform. I stood at the side of the stage against a black curtain.
As the music started, I suddenly realized why I had come to LA. I looked up
and saw a huge stage light swaying vicariously directly above JC. I caught
the glimmer of a metal object falling seconds before the light started to
fall. I ran toward JC and pushed him out of the way of the falling light
moments before is crashed onto the stage. JC was thrown clear; however, the
brackets that should have held the light in place hit my left shoulder. I
felt an odd sensation as the metal broke my collarbone and sliced into my
flesh, causing blood to flow readily. I collapsed on the stage as I heard
Lance scream 'NOOO.'

TBC...

Jase just can't catch a break, can he! What was his news other than the
house? We'll see!
