Foolish Beat - Chapter 2

* In the Stairwell *

"You are gay too? How do you deal with all of this, how do you live
day-to-day?" Joey asked as he shook his head in shock.

"Well for the first part I have been gay for a long time, so I learned a
long while ago, to just hide it and not let anyone know and I have
continued to do that since I have been here at Jive. There is only four
people in my life that know about me, that's my friend Kendall, my brother,
sister and you. Other than that, I keep it under wraps so no one has
anything to use against me." Sean said as he rubbed Joey's back.

"Sean, I am a singer, I can't hide anything, the more I try to hide
something, there is always someone around to take a picture for it to end
up in the tabloids." Joey said as he kicked the wall.

"Well I guess we need to find a way to keep that from happening don't we?
But first, we need to head back down to the meeting before Johnny gets mad
with both of us." Sean said as the two of them walked back down to the
conference room.

* In the Conference Room *

"Look, I don't know about all of that, why can't we just start the tour
over here in the states then end up in Australia?" Justin asked as Sean and
Joey entered the room.

"So you two have come back, Joey where would you like the tour to start?"
Johnny asked as the two men sat down.

"Well I don't care as long as we get it done and over with." Joey said as
he looked down at the table.

"That's not a good answer Joe, come on....do you want to start the tour
here in the US or start in Europe and finish up here?" Chris said as he got
up and walked over to Joey.

"What's the big deal, it doesn't matter." Joey said.

"Yes it does...if we start here in the states, we can take a small vacation
in Australia when the tour is over, if we start in Europe, when the tour is
over we go home." JC managed to speak up.

"Well everyone has voted on which way they want the tour to go, so it's up
to you." Johnny said.

"Okay start here in end up in Aussie. Everybody happy!" Joey frowned.

"Good that settles it, everyone will vacation in Australia for a month then
return to the states for regular business after the tour is over." Johnny
said as he got up and grabbed Sean to walk out with him.

* Outside in the hallway *

"Sean, we have a problem, a big problem!" Johnny said as Sean looked at him
strange.

"What's the problem Johnny, what's wrong?" Sean asked with a little fear in
his eyes.

"I just got a memo. That memo stated that you are gay, and that you have
been gay for sometime, is that true Sean?" Johnny asked.

"Well umh...umh...okay, it is true, but who told that I was gay? There is
no one in this building besides Joey that knows I am gay." Sean said as he
looked at Johnny as though his career has just ended.

"Well there isn't a name on the memo, so I don't know who it's from, but I
do not that you should have told me, how can you keep something like that
from me and the other people here!" Johnny shouted.

"First of all, it's not anyone's business but my own, and second, I think
that is unprofessional for someone to send you a memo about my private
life, I don't broadcast my personal life to anyone around here, so this
shouldn't even be an issue Johnny!" Sean screamed back

"It's a damn issue when you are gonna be with the most popular boybands in
the world and spening time with them, this could effect their careers. Now
that we know Joey is gay, this can get out of hand. How is it going to look
when the media finds out that Joey of 'N Sync is gay and tour manager is
too!" Johnny shouted.

"Look, if you don't want me to be the guys tour manager, fine, but my
private life is no one's business but my own and you shouldn't be out here
yelling at me for something that isn't important." Sean said as he stormed
off to his office.

*Conference Room *

"Hey, what was all of that about Johnny, why are you fighting with Sean
because he's gay?" Brian asked.

"Well I don't think it would be good for you guys to have too many people
on tour, what if any of this got out" What if one of you were caught doing
something gay? What if..." Johnny said as Brian cut him off.

"If you have a problem with Sean and Joey being gay then you have a problem
with me too, I am not gonna sit here and listen to this crap!" Brian said
as he got up and left the conference room.

"Brian is gay too? What is these groups coming to, Backdoor Boys and In the
Sink!" Johnny shouted.

"Look, we don't have a problem with anyone being gay, I am cute sure Joey
and Brian knows how much it means to be discreet, and I am quite sure Sean
nows the same things since I heard he's been gay for a long time, and no
one knew it." Chris said as he stood up.

"How did you know that, Chris?" Johnny asked.

"I asked around this morning before I came in for the meeting, Sean is a
nice guy and he puts work before his own life, so give him a chance, and
besides I am cute sure if something happens we can fix it." Chris said as
he left the room glaring at Johnny with a sarcastic look on his face.

"Fine, but don't call me when your careers go down the drain!" Johnny
shouted and left the conference room as well.
