Nick was smiling as AJ danced with his mother in law, the tour
photographer was snapping pictures, he was under contract to have to give
over all copies and negatives of any pictures that he took, to the guys so
that they could pick what was released. This was an event that Kevin, Brian
and he wanted to have recorded for their brothers.
When Kevin got that call God twelve hours ago, Howie telling them
that they wanted to get married and know, they were in Hawaii, the last
stop before they hit the Orient and then Europe. Kevin jumped into action,
never happy unless there was something to do, especially if it kept him
mind off missing Raven. The wedding was planed a justice of a peace found,
and flowers ordered. Kevin even had Howie's parents bring the white suits
that they wore on the Millennium cover. It was a surprise for Howie; they
knew that AJ hadn't told his mother yet, so she was not invited. The look
on his face was enough for Nick to forget getting Kevin back for waking him
at four to go pick them up. He was not happy to be woken form his dream of
his perfect lover, especially when things were getting interesting. It was
hard though loving Brian and not being able to tell him.
"Hey Frack, where are you?" Brian's voice seeped into his
thoughts.
		"Just thinking."
		"Bout?"
		"Things."
		"Like?"
"Brian they look happy don't they?" Nick turned the
conversation onto their band mates.
"Yeah they do." Brian agreed with him, AJ and Howie had
shown him that being in love with a guy was not bad thing.
		You look sad Nicky. Why?"
		"Do I?"
		"Yeah Frack, you do."
		"Oh. I'm not."
		'Sure"
		"Brian I'm not."
"Nick you can tell me anything."
"I'm fine really. Lets go bug Fatima." Thinking sure I
could tell you and ruin the relationship we have, you may accept Howie and
AJ but me is another matter. They wandered over to Fatima, as they reached
her, Kevin's voice rang out over the crowd.
"When the guys told they were in love. I said finally, they
were so right for each other, and seeing them reach the point where they
felt that they needed to be in each others life until the end of time,
proves that love is the most important thing in this life. So raise your
glasses and toast the happy couple." Kevin smiled at them, tipping his
glass to them, as the music started again. "This song Nick felt was perfect
for them to dance to together as a married couple." He said as Celine
Dion's 'Because You Loved Me' floated over the speakers. The crowd of
people turned to watch as Howie cajoled his husband into letting him lead.
**************

Seeing the joy in the faces of his band mates Kevin turned from the
crowd, he stood looking out the window, until he felt the presence of his
cousin beside him.
"So what is wrong?" The younger man asked.
		"Nothing." Kevin replied.
"Sure Kevin and I'm blue. Now what is wrong?"
"Brian nothing, I'm just thinking that they look happy."
		"And" Brian prodded.
"And. I wonder if I will ever have that?"
"She loves you." Brian smiled at him.
"Does she? I often wonder especially know she hardly ever
has time for me."
"Kevin she's a University major in Colorado."
"I know, but she seems distant. She never seemed distant
before, even when we almost broke up."
"She loves you, it probably midterms."
		"Yeah your probably right."
		"Probably?"
"Yeah your right. I'll see her soon. I hope."
"Kevin we leave for Europe in two days." Brian whispered,
their management called him earlier today; they didn't want to tell Kevin
themselves.
		"What?"
		"I'm sorry."
"It's not your fault. We'd better get back to them." Kevin
turned to the party heading over to one of the female dancers asking her to
dance. While Brian looked around for Nick, seeing him dancing with Fatima.
"So when are you going to tell them, that you love Brian?"
She asked the tall blond in her arms.
"Never. He's not gay. And they don't know that I am
either." Nick replied. "Chaos. You will tell them. Like they will care."
" I know, but they have allot on their minds. AJ is going
to tell Denise about him and Howie tomorrow."
		"She doesn't know?"
"No. He wanted to tell her face-to-face, but after he
married Howie so that she was confronted with all of it at once. It's
easier to give it all the her in one shot." Nick explained his band mates
reasoning. Defending him.
		"Do your parents know?"
"Yeah. I told them when we were home last. They were okay,
all except BJ."
		"Why?"
"She's can't handle not having an older sister when I get
married."
		"She'll be fine."
"I know she actually emailed me last night."
"Good. Now all you have to do is tell Brian and the guys
about yourself." Fatima added as the song was coming to a close, darting
away before he could reply.

****************************

The next night, AJ stood in his and Howie's suite, a wedding
present from the guys, waiting for his mother to arrive, he was alone, as
the guys were in the hallway, so he could calm his nerves before she got
there. He felt his husband's arms come around him as he stood at the
window, he rested his head against his shoulder, letting him hold him up
supporting him as he came to terms with telling his mother. Howie kissed
his neck running his hands up over his arms and around his shoulders; back
down until they were holding hands. He placed his simple white
gold/platinum band against AJ's and turned them towards the door, as he
heard steps coming towards it. Moving to let go of his husband.
"No I want you to hold me." AJ stopped him, as Kevin walked
in followed by Howie's parents, and the two other guys, finally Denise
McLean walked through the door, stopping as she saw Howie with his arms
around her son, as though they were intimate with each other.
"Alex," she smiled at her only child.
"Mom, you might want to sit down for what I am going to
tell you." AJ said, half smiling at her.
		"What son?"
"Mom I'm married." He said simply, quietly.
"So, who is the lucky girl?"
"It's not a girl mom. I married Howie. We love each other
and got married last night." AJ replied pulling Howie closer to him.
		"What?"
		"Mom I love Howie."
"Alexander James this is not funny."
"I'm not joking mom. I'm married." He repeated, walking
closer to her, showing her his ring.
"Alexander." Denise was at a loss for words, so she turned
on Howie's parents. "You approve of this. Paula?"
"Yes. They are happy. We've always known that Howie was
gay." Paula replied, giving her son, and son in law her full support.
		"Hoke?"
"Me to Denise. They are in love and that's all that
matters." "Mom please I know that this is hard for you. But please I love
him we are happy."
		"I need time."
"Mom" AJ moved to hug her, wrapping his arms around
her. His heart broke as he felt her tense in his arms. "I'm sorry," he
sobbed, turning back into Howie's arms, crying on his shoulder. "I love
you" Howie murmured, in his ear before leaning down to kiss his cheek.
"Mrs. McLean we have known for a long time. And we have
come to terms with them being in love, it is a gift from God." Brian tried
to help.
"Brian with all due respect you have no idea how I feel
right now."
		"Mom!"
"Alexander" she turned to look at her son.
"You had no right to say that. Brian took this harder than
anyone because of what he believes. If he can accept us why can't you?"
"Accept that my son will never marry and have children."
"I am married. And we will have children, when we are
ready. I think that you should leave. I love my husband and I choose
him. You made me. I love you and I hope that someday you will accept
me. When you do though I hope that I can forgive you." AJ said, turning
away from her as he finished. Howie so wanted to fix this. "Wait!" he
cried stopping Denise in her tracks, "I'll leave him and the band," he
said, quietly. "NO!" AJ cried, he rushed to his husband. "We said forever
last night. I love you I will not let you go." He grabbed his hand.
"You are willing to give up my son."
"Yes. He loves you, you are his only family. I don't want
him to lose that." "You are my family." AJ cried, hugging him. "Alex. You
need her."
		"No I need you."
"I love you." Howie said turning from him, breaking AJ and
his heart. He fell into his mother's arms. Unable to stop herself. "Denise
you are the most heartless person I know. They love each other. He is
willing to give up all his happiness so that you will love you're son."
Paula said quietly, her voice full of controlled anger.
"Mom. Don't" Howie said, trying to stop her.
"Howie she is right. Mom I love you. But I want Howie. I
need him he completes me." AJ said pulling his husband into his arms. The
guys watched on unable to do anything but cry.
		"Alexander. I can't accept this."
"Then go. Just leave. I'll get Mike to move my stuff out of
the house." AJ said pulling Howie over to the couch and down onto his lap,
crying into his shoulder, holding him like a lifeline.
************************

They all watched her leave, Howie's parents hugging their sons
before leaving them alone with the other three guys.
"Hey do you want us to leave?" Nick asked.
"No. Stay." AJ smiled at them. He really didn't feel like
being alone, with Howie just yet.
"Nick go get the play station, I'll order food." Kevin said
taking charge, like he always does, picking up the phone and ordering food
for all of them. Glancing back he saw AJ standing by the window, Howie a
few feet away from him. Kevin knew that his friends needed to talk to each
other, but he also knew that AJ wasn't ready to deal with it yet. The
shaking in his shoulders was always the best way to know when he was
mad. Howie stood and watched his husband, knowing that he was mad, but also
knowing that what he did tonight was the best thing he could do.
"No it wasn't" AJ's voice broke into his thoughts.
		"What?"
"What you did tonight was not right. I love you and I am
married to you."
"Alex, she's your mother, you need her in your life." Howie
tried to reason with him.
"NO!" he yelled. "I LOVE YOU. She turned her back on me
like he did. I do not need her." AJ finished, tears falling down his
face. "Oh, honey I love you to. I'm sorry I don't want you to lose your
family." Howie said pulling him into his arms. They both turned as Nick
came back into the room, with his playstation, Brian carried the games in,
all of them. They never knew what they were going to play so it was better
to be safe than sorry. They connected it to the TV, as Nick taunted Brian
in a sing song voice "I'm gonna kick your but. I'm gonna kick your but." AJ
began to laugh at their antics; he wanted a better view of the game so he
pulled Howie over to the couch.
"Hey Boo when is the food gonna get here?" Nick asked.
"Hungry Nick?" AJ asked faking a shocked voice, grabbing
his heart.
"I'm a growing boy." Nick replied, he began to jump up and
down " I need food." Yelling like a three year old would when throwing a
tantrum. His antics drew a laugh from AJ; the sound was music to his
husband's ears. Howie shot a grateful look at the young blond; he kept
going flopping on the ground, kicking the floor. The whole group was
laughing as they heard a knock on the door, a male voice called out "Room
Service." Nick looked up and smiled. "I'll get it," he cried diving over
Kevin and Brian to open the door.
"Thanks" he smiled at the man, giving him a generous tip,
before pushing the two carts into the room. "Hey Kev. I'm hungry but man my
stomach is just not that big." Nick said looking at all the food.
		"It's not all for you."
"Oh. Good, I'll share with AJ." Nick replied, handing him a
plate of Kraft dinner.
"Hey that's mine." Brian made a grab for it, Nick slapped
his hands lightly. "NO it's AJ's." Nick smiled.
"He'll share he likes me." Brian replied confidently.
"Sure he does." Nick shook his head " he likes me more."
		"NO ME."
		"ME"
		"NO ME"
		"Frick HE LIKES ME."
		"Frack HE LIKES ME."
"AJ stop them before they give me a migraine." Kevin
pleaded.
"STOP! I LIKE HOWIE." AJ cut into their argument.
		"Oh," they both replied dejectedly.
"I like you to. But I love Howie."
"Brian you get his share." Nick handed the plate to his
friend.
		"Hey"
"Here." Kevin handed them a plate and two forks.
		"Thanks." Howie smiled at him.
		"What is it?"
"Chicken pasta." Howie replied removing the lid, "ohh good
food."
		"Healthy food." AJ muttered.
"Here" Kevin handed him a bowl of Chocolate ice cream.
"Ohhh, comfort food." AJ smiled nodding, as he dug into the
bowl.
"Share." Howie leaned over licking the chocolate from his
lips.
"Okay!" Nick yelled, hiding his face in Brian's shoulder.
"It's okay Nicky. They aren't licking each other. You don't
have to be afraid." Brian soothed, drawing laughs from the other three.
"We're done." AJ replied chucking the pillow at him.
"Protect the food." Nick cried leaning over their plates.

Supper progressed with a few comments and a lot of laughter. Until
Kevin stood and pushed the other two out of the room ahead of
them. "Honeymoon." He explained.
