Subject: Love Interest - Chapter 3

*It has come to my attention that I have been spelling Brittney Spears'
name wrong. I'm sorry for that, and It will be done right in the rest of
the chapters.**
========================================================================
Last time on Love Interest -

"Come on, you can tell us. Where all friends." He continued, hoping to
get him to talk about what was upsetting him.

"I don't know, Brittney said I liked Josh, and that I should just admit
it. And I got upset, and left, but then the more I thought about it,
maybe I do. When he was with Jim, I knew for sure."
========================================================================
"You knew what for sure?" Christina asked quickly from the driver's seat.
She was anxious to know what Justin was saying. Was he confessing his
love, and reaffirming his friendship.

"I knew that I, that I..." Justin couldn't get it out. The harder he
tried to spit out the words, the worse his tears came down. Joey
continued to hug him and hold him close, but he knew that it wasn't what
Justin wanted. Justin wanted JC to hold him, and JC wasn't with them
right now, he was with Jim.
========================================================================
"What is everybody's problem?" JC asked nervously, as he looked around
the table, he found all eyes on him and Jim. "Why are you all staring at
us?"

"Shouldn't you have went to see what was wrong with Justin?" Lance asked
first, he knew he wasn't the only one thinking it. And he knew at the
same time, that everyone at the table was pissed at JC.

"Christina and Joey went, he'll be fine. I'll talk to him when I get home
in the morning." JC answered, as if the question were stupid.

"In the morning, why not tonight? Why not when he ran out?" Brittney
asked getting offensive.
"Becuase I am out with my boyfriend, and I am not going to rush after my
friend just because he is crying. And I am not going to talk to him
tonight, because I don't plan on coming home tonight. I am going to spend
the night at Jim's." JC answered all the questions, but they could tell
he was becoming nervous with everything being directed towards him.

"What's more important to you Josh? Justin or Jim? Your best friend or
your boyfriend?" Chris asked, waiting for answers, but JC would give him
none.

"Ya know, I don't know what problem you guys have. Or what is wrong with
Justin, but I'm not answering those questions. Come on Jim." Jim stood at
JC's words, he knew that he wasn't welcome with the group, and he was
glad to be leaving. "I'll see you guys tomorrow morning." Without
arguement, JC left the restaraunt, Jim in tow. The table fell silent, now
only 4 people left at it. Lance turned to Brittney with anger in his
eyes.

"Go to the car, I'll pay the bill." Lance was the nicest person anyone
could meet, but when he became pissed no one disobeyed his orders.
Brittney, Chris and Dani did as they were told, heading from the table to
the outside. Lance payed the bill and met them in the car.

"What are we going to do about this? Justin is going to be a nervous
wreck all night until he talks to Josh. And it doesn't look like Josh is
going to come home, not after the way we treated him." Dani asked once
the car was in motion.

"Your taking his side?" Chris's outburst caused a slight shakiness in the
driving, but Lance remained calm.

"No, I just think we are getting upset at him for the wrong reasons. It's
not his fault he has a boyfriend. He should have ran after Justin, but it
wasn't that big of a deal that he didn't. And now he thinks theres
something else behind it. So what do we do?" Dani answered, getting upset
that her boyfriend had snapped so quickly at her without an explanation.

"I guess your right. But I still can't believe he didn't find Justin when
he was crying. I bet that's all he really wanted, was just for Josh to be
there with him." Brittney was surprised that she agreed with Dani, but it
was true. Josh didn't deserve there anger, he was just the recipient,
because there was no one who really did deserve it.

"Well it's too late now. And now we have to think of way to calm Justin
down, and to work through this with him. Since he obviously is gaining
feelings for Josh, we have to let him know that it might be too late.
Josh has a boyfriend now, and Justin has to see that, if he doesn't it
will be even harder to keep him healthy around them." Chris was
surprisingly speaking words of wisdom instead of his usual joking self.

"Let's just talk to him when we get back. There is no sense in trying to
solve this without him." Brittney decided to end the discussion, she
didn't want to talk about it until she got a chance to talk to Justin
first.

========================================================================
"What was all that about with your friends?" Jim and JC were sitting in
Jim's apartment bedroom, watching some tv on the bed.

"Nothing, it doesn't matter baby." JC smiled, and slowly began to kiss
the side of Jim's neck. His tongue working magic on the soft flesh.
"Let's just try and forget about them."

"No problem." Jim was able to moan out, as JC went down farther to
another part of his body that was happy to see JC.
========================================================================
"Where's Josh?" Christina asked as Lance, Brittney, Chris and Dani
entered the house.

"He went back to Jim's afer you guys left. He was angry at us." Brittney

"You mean he isn't coming home tonight?" Christina asked out of
disbelief.

"Nope"

"Then tonight is going to suck. Justin has been crying since we got him
home. He hasn't said a word, except he occasionally asks if Josh is home.
Joey's still trying to comfort him, but it's not the same. Josh is the
only one that can bring that boy harmony and with out him we are going to
have one non-sleeping night of noise."

"What do you suggest we do? One of us is going to have to sleep with him,
and hold him while we sleep. Ya know like Josh would." Chris suggested.

"Joey" Lance answered quickly, and everyone turned towards him.

"Why Joe?" Brittney asked first.

"Becuase Chris and I have girlfriends, and becuase Joey has been
comforting him all night, he might take a peaceful spot on him and just
cry himself to sleep. Like he would with Josh." Lance answered, taking
the pressure off of his rather quick answering.

"Good enough for me." Brittney chimed, as she turned. "But I think I am
going to head in early tonight."

"Oh no you don't. It's only 8 and ya know Justin is going to be up till
midnight at the earliest. None of us are going to bed before the clock
strikes twelve. Understood." Lance took charge, grabbing his girlfriend
from her plan to leave, and bringing her back to the reality. "Anways,
besides Josh you are Justin's best friend, so maybe you should give Joey
a break and go talk to him."

"Sure, send me in for the suicide run." Brittney's joke went unlaughed
at, as the faces became more serious.

"And Britt, watch what you say this time. You already hurt him alot by
bringing him into the reality, so maybe you should just comfort him,
don't try and make him see the light like before." Chris's words were
harsh, but Brittney knew that ever Lance was thinking the exact same
thing as she headed up the steps. Opening Justin's door, she was
surprised not to find anybody. Walking back down the steps, she found the
group excluding Justin and Joey in the living room.

"I can't find them in Justin's room, do you think they might have left?"
Christina turned to answer the question with a little frown.

"He refused to leave Josh's room when we brought him home. Joey and him
should be sitting on Josh's bed if I last remember the situation when I
left the room." Christina ushered Brittney back up the steps, and she
made the other turn to JC's room. Opening the door, she found Justin
sobbing into Joey's shirt. A large wet spot on it, where Justin had
obviously soaked with his tears. Joey smiled, and mouthed all yours. As
he motioned for Justin to remove his head. Brittney took a seat where
Joey had been and Justin instinctively put his head on her shoulder. His
sobs not relenting for a second. Joey walked from the room silently,
shutting the door with only a small creak, as Justin poured his heart out
with tears on Brittney's soon to be soaked outfit.

============================================================================

"Oh Josh! Fuck me." Jim and JC had now been going at it for over an hour,
while JC buried himself deeper and deeper inside of Jim.

"Mmmmm" JC let out a long moan as he rolled off his new lover's body.
"That was great baby." A gentle kiss on Jim's forehead, and JC rolled
into a nice position. Letting sleep take the best of him, he wrapped one
arm around Jim's body and rested his head on his shoulder. As sleep took
him over, so did his dream world. And his mind began to play games of
mistrust and deceit as his sleep became more and more frantic.

===========================================================================

"Is he asleep?" Christina looked up when she heard the sound of
footsteps. She caught a slight smile on Brittney's face.

"Yeah, and it seems like the rest of  them are too." Christina nodded in
agreement.

"Every one except for Dani. She's in the kitchen making us some coffee.
Maybe you should go find Lance and sleep too. You look beat."

"What about you, you could probably use some sleep yourself." Brittney
wasn't going to disagree though, she was beat, Justin had taken alot out
of her.

"Me and Dani told the guys we would look after Justin until 2, and then
head in. We don't want him waking up without anyone to talk to."

"Speaking of that, shouldn't one of us sleep with him. Or at least in the
room." Christina and Brittney turned to see Dani walking in with three
coffee cups. "I thought I heard you out here, so I brought you a cup
too." Brittney smiled, and gratefully took the cup from her.

"I guess I will, you two can go find your men and get some rest. I'll be
upstairs, I guess I can just sleep in the bed with Justin. I'll wrap an
arm around him, and just be there for him." Christina smiled, and stood.
Brittney and Dani turned, and walked to the same spots they had slept the
night before. Upstairs, Christina, adjusted herself into the bed next to
Justin, and just admired the sight. She was in disbelief that the quiet
scene in front of her, was a loud sobfest only an hour ago.

===================================================================

Meanwhile at Jim's apartment, JC's dreams were not quiet and peaceful. He
was in the midst of a nightmare, one filled with pain and emotions. Jim
slept peacefully next to him though, not even aware that JC was in the
nightmare world, something Justin could always tell when it was
happening. But as JC slept, that wasn't the only thing that came to his
mind, he suddenly remembered that Justin knew everything about him. He
slowly came to the realization that he was the biggest jackass in the
world. He had left Justin alone, after he ran out of the restaruant
crying. He had not turned to help his bestfriend, even after his eyes
soaked with tears. He did not even know why his best friend had left the
building, or even a slight amount of information about the whole event of
the days that had transpired so quickly.

Now he was left in the apartment bedroom of his new boyfriend, who had
spent no more then half a day with, and was already intimate with him.
His mind raced with anger, not towards any one else but himself. It
slowly sank it that he was to blame for every thing, and he had done
nothing to stop it.

The thought quickly brought him out of his sleep, and he shook with
chills of the harsh reality. Taking a piece of paper off the desk next to
the bed, he quickly scribbled down a note. Leaving the bed, he grabbed
his clothes and changed in a rush. With out turning back, he rushed from
the room, and out to the streets. Once outside, he realized he had no car
to get to where he was heading.

Waving down a cab, he jumped in.

"Where to?" the cabbie asked turning around.

"Take me to any store that is still open right now."

"What kinda store?"

"Any store, if you know of any department store that is open this late,
get me there. I got enough cash to pay no matter how far." JC answered
the question, and the driver gave him an odd smile.

"Sure thing, I think I might know just the place." The cabbie turned
back, and with a push on the gas, they were off. For what though?

What is JC doing? Where is he going and what are his intents on going
there?
