Me and Joey
Chapter 8

I drove off into the night, with tears streaming down my face. I
thought things were going so well. I felt as if Joey had given me an
ultimatum. I know he didn't mean it that way, but that's what it felt like.
I didn't know exactly what to do, or where to go. I knew I didn't want to
go to Lance's house in that kind of shape, so I drove around for a bit. I
hadn't been on the road for long when my cell phone started ringing.

"Hello," I answered.

"Billy, are you alright?" I heard Lance say on the other end.

"Yeah, I think so Scoop." I said, very unconvincingly.

"I know that tone Mr. Prescott. You are anything but fine, now where are
you?" He asked, sensing my distance.

"Hell, I don't know. I'm just driving. I just want to be alone for a while
Lance, okay?" I said, a little more hostile than I intended.

"Hey, I'm just concerned. You don't have to bite my head off ya know." He
retaliated.

"I'm sorry Lansten. I didn't mean that the way it sounded. I just need
some time by myself. I have a lot of things going on in my head right now,
and I need to sort them out a bit before I talk to anyone." I explained to
him.

"Billy, you know you can talk to me about anything, at least I hope you
do. I'm just worried about you. Joey called a few minutes ago, and told me
what happened. I'm here man, let me be a shoulder for you, that's what
friends are for, isn't it?" He said, making his case.

"How is Joey?" I asked, trying to hold back the tears. "Is he okay?"

"Well, to be honest Billy, he's not doing so good." Lance said, with as
much honesty and feeling as he could. "He was pretty upset when he called
here. He didn't want you to leave big guy. He's worried about you."

"I know Lance, but I just didn't see any other way at the time." I answered
him.

"Listen, why don't you head on over here, and let's talk about this. You
don't need to be out driving around in your condition." Lance stated, in
that brotherly fashion that he had about him.

"Okay Scoop, I'll be there as soon as I can. I'll talk to you then." I
said.

"Just be careful, and I'll see you in a few." He said, finishing our
conversation.

I had no idea how things had gotten to this point. Less than 24
hours ago, Joey and I were fine. Everything was going so well, and now
this. I didn't get it. Did I take what Joey had said too personally? Is it
really, that I don't trust him? How could that be? I love him, for crying
out loud. I would do anything for him. I would give my life for him. Maybe
it was just that I didn't know for sure how he felt about me. Oh, he had
told me that he loved me, and he had done special things for me. I guess I
just wanted to know if he would stick around, when things got tough, or if
I would just end up being hurt all over again. I couldn't handle that
again. I just couldn't handle someone else turning their back on me, I
couldn't.

I thought some things over in my head, as I made my way over to
Lance's house. As I pulled into the driveway, he was waiting on the front
steps. I could see the concern in his eyes, even from where I was sitting.
I don't know how I ever managed to find a friend like him, but I was sure
glad that I did. I got out of the Jeep, and started walking towards
him. As I neared the steps, he stood to his feet, and opened his arms. I
immediately fell into them, as the tears started to flow. Lance held me
there for a minute, as he gently stroked the back of my head.

"Hey guy, it's going to be alright. We'll work this out, don't worry." He
said, trying to comfort me. I tightened my grip on him, as a way of saying
thank you.

"Let's get you inside. I'll get us something to drink, and we'll talk for
as long as you need, or we'll do whatever you need to do, I'm here to help
just tell me what to do." He said. His willingness was a greater comfort,
than he will ever know.

"Thanks Scoop." I said, trying my best to smile at him.

"No thanks needed my friend. You're part of my family now. When you hurt, I
hurt, and don't you ever forget that." He said, giving me a slight hug.

We walked into the living room, and I took a seat on the
couch. Lance went into the kitchen to get some drinks. He came back with a
couple of soft drinks, and some chips. As he handed me my drink, he took a
seat next to me on the couch.

"You wanna talk about it?" He asked.

"I'm not sure what to talk about. I'm not even sure what really happened."
I answered, honestly.

"Joey said, that he was trying to be honest with you about his feelings,
and you got up and left." Lance stated.

"Something like that. Damn it Lance, I'm so afraid I'm gonna get hurt. I
know it's stupid. I know Joey loves me, I know that." I said, as if I were
trying to convince myself.

"Then what's the problem?" He asked.

"What?" I asked, turning to look at him.

"I said, If you know that he loves you, then what's the problem? You know
Joey would never do anything to hurt you. He just wants you to believe in
him, that's all." He said.

"I do believe in him, Lance." I started.

"Do you?" He asked. "Billy, I know without a shadow of a doubt, that you
love him. Sometimes, that's not enough. Joey has given you everything that
he has to offer. I don't think you realize, what it took for him to do
that."

I sat there listening to everything that Lance had to say. This
young man was wise beyond his years. He spoke to me not as his elder, but
with authority, and love for a friend.

"You think, I'm being silly don't you?" I asked.

"No, I don't think you're being silly. However, I don't think you're giving
Joey a chance. He's one of the best friends I have Billy. He's not those
other people that hurt you in the past. In order for you and Joey to find
the happiness that you both deserve, you're going to have to trust him,
completely." Lance finished, taking my hand in his.

"Lance, it's not that I don't trust him. I just can't shake the feeling in
the back of my mind, that keeps saying it won't last, he'll hurt you, don't
do it." I stated honestly.

"Did you hear what you just said?" He asked.

"What?" I answered, unsure of what he meant.

"This is a relationship. You don't follow your mind, you follow your
heart. I think you trust him, but you keep going back to the past. Billy,
we can't live in the past. If we do, we never see how bright our future can
be." Lance said, causing my mind to wonder.

I sat there taking in what he was saying. I listened to my mind,
then I listened to my heart. How could I have been so stupid? I knew Joey
wouldn't hurt me. After all, he was the one person, who took me in after
the accident. Only a person with a heart of gold would do such a thing. I
reflected on my conversation with him, in the kitchen, when he first told
me that he loved me, and that he wanted to try to make this work. I knew I
loved him. I just had to get over my past. What Lance had just said, made
perfect sense. So, I had a bad past, but Joey was to be my bright future. I
was about to say something to Lance when the phone rang.

"Hello." Lance said. "Yeah, he's sitting right here next to me. Let me ask
him okay?"

"It's Joey isn't it?" I asked, looking at him.

"Yeah, he wants to talk to you. What do you want me to tell him?" He asked,
examining my face. I reached over and took the phone from him.

"I'll give you some privacy." He said, standing to leave the room.

"Lance." I started.

"Yeah." He said, stopping to look at me.

"Thank you." I said, genuinely smiling at him for the first time since I'd
been there.

"You're welcome," he said, bending over to kiss my cheek, before leaving
the room.

"Hello." I said, shyly into the phone.

"Sweetie, are you okay?" Joey said, with love and concern.

"Yeah, I'm alright. I just needed to do some thinking that's all. I'm sorry
that I left like that. I just got scared. I thought you were saying
something, that you really weren't saying I guess." I stated, as honestly
as I could.

"It's okay baby. I understand, really I do. Billy, I love you. I would
never do, or say anything to intentionally hurt you. I'm not saying that
there won't be times when we disagree. That's what a relationship is all
about, living with each other, growing with each other, learning new things
about each other. Honey, I know you've been hurt in the past, but I'm not
going anywhere. I'll be right here by your side, every step of the way,
unless you say otherwise." He said, with such love in his voice.

I don't know what happened at that moment. Somehow, I got the
feeling that no matter what I did, Joey would always be there. He would
hold me, comfort me, be my best friend, my lover, my reason for living. I
decided to let go of my past, grab my future with both hands, and hang on
tight.

"Joey, I am so sorry. I've just been so stupid about this whole thing." I
said.

"No Sweetie, it's okay I understand, believe me. I just want you to know
how much I love you. I want you with me, always. Will you come home?" He
asked.

"Of course, I'll come home." I said, the relief flooding my body.

"Good, then I'll see you in a few minutes. Drive carefully, and I'll be
waiting for you." He said.

"I will Sweetie, and I'm really sorry about all of this." I said, trying to
get past the whole thing.

"It's over honey, don't worry about it, just come home." He said, trying to
reassure me.

"Okay, I'll be there in a little while." I said.

"Okay baby, bye." He said, ending our conversation.

I hung up the phone, and then went to find Lance. I found him in
his office going over some paper work.

"Hey," I said, startling him a bit.

"Hey yourself. Are you okay?" He asked, looking up at me from his desk.

"Yeah, I think I'm gonna head on back home now. Thank you so much for being
here Lance, and for what you said. It really made a big difference." I
said, smiling at him.

"Like I said, that's why I'm here." He said, standing from his desk, and
walking around to give me a hug.

Lance and I walked back to the front door together, and talked for
another minute or so. He wanted to make sure that I was really alright, and
that I could drive home okay. I gave him one more hug before heading out to
my Jeep. I waved to him as I drove away. On the way home, I had a chance to
reflect on the things that Lance had said to me, as well as the things Joey
had said. They were right. I decided right then and there, that come what
may, I was going to let this thing happen, and enjoy the ride.

I pulled into the drive way of my new home, and stepped out of the
Jeep. As I walked to the front door, Joey opened it, and stood there
watching me. I didn't really know what to say to him. I just walked to the
door and stopped. I hesitantly looked up, into those beautiful eyes. Joey
smiled and pulled me to him giving me a kiss. All the tension, and the
anxiety that I was feeling, evaporated into thin air. With one kiss, Joey
had managed to wipe away all my doubts, and fears.

"Honey, I am so sorry." I started, as Joey put his finger over my lips.

"Shhh, it's forgotten. I'm just so glad that you're here." He said, holding
me tight.

"Joey, listen to me. Lance and I had a long talk, and I realized, that I
haven't been fair to you. I do love you sweetheart, and I know that you
love me. I know that you wouldn't intentionally hurt me, and I've made a
decision. I've decided that I'm in this for the long haul. I will love
you, I will be with you, I will stand by your side, whenever you need me. I
will trust you with my very life Joseph Anthony Fatone, for as long as you
will allow me." I said, giving him my best smile.

"And, I will honor you, love you, admire you, and be there for you, William
Alan Prescott, for as long as you will allow me."

"Honey, I love you," I said, as the tears started flowing.

"I love you too, Sweetie," He said, as he held me in his arms, and kissed
the top of my head.

Joey and I headed for bed, turning out the house lights as we
went. As we entered the bedroom, I began to take off my clothes, when Joey
stopped me. He turned me so that I was facing him, and began to raise my
shirt. I lifted my arms making it easier for him. He pulled off my shorts,
and underwear at the same time. I stood before him totally naked. He
stepped back, and looked at me, from head to toe, and back up to my face. I
stood there, feeling kind of self conscious. He walked over to me, and
gently kissed my lips. The emotion that he used in that kiss was somewhat
overwhelming. As he finished, I stood there, my eyes still closed. Joey
picked me up in his arms, and gently laid me on the bed. I watched as he
stripped his own clothes, and threw them to the floor. He climbed into bed,
laying his body on top of mine. He stayed there for a minute, just staring
into my eyes. I brought my hands up to his face, gently stroking the side
with my fingers.

He lowered himself to my lips, taking time with each one, to
maximize the pleasure. I felt myself becoming lost in him. I had decided to
give myself to him completely. All my inhibitions gone, I felt as if Joey
and I had joined together, as if we had become one person.

Joey made love to me that night, in a way that I had never felt. It
wasn't just a physical thing. My heart merged with his. My mind met each
thought. My very soul joined his. If I still had the slightest of doubts
about being with him, they had been completely, and forever destroyed that
night. The last thing that I remember was falling asleep on Joey's chest,
with my arms wrapped around him.

The mornings first light, brought new life to the day, and to my
relationship with Joey. It's strange how things can turn around in just a
matter of hours. One moment I wasn't sure if I could truly trust Joey
enough to spend my life with him. The next, I'd have given up everything
that I had to be with him. Lance had been right, I needed to let go of my
past, and give Joey a chance. I needed to give us, a chance. That morning
as I lay there looking at him, I decided to give it my best shot.

I was still in the same position, in which I had fallen asleep. I
began to kiss Joey's neck and chest, in hopes of waking him. My attempts
did not go un-noticed.

"Mmm," I heard from beneath me. "That's a good way to wake up in the
morning."

"I'm glad that you like it, because there's more where that came from." I
said, with a smile.

"Oh, I like the sound of that." He said, grinning up at me.

I continued to kiss his neck and chest, working my way down his
torso, until I found what I wanted. I reached up and took hold of his hard
meat, gently stroking him.

"Oh, baby, that feels good." Joey moaned.

I smiled as I lowered myself, licking the head of his rock hard
penis. I heard him suck the air in through his teeth, as I slowly licked my
way down the length of his hardness. I made my way back up, taking the head
into my hot mouth. I began to take him inch by delicious inch until I
rested my nose against his pubes. I worked my way back up, swirling my
tongue around his hot flesh. Slowly and methodically I made love to his
cock, driving him to the utmost point of pleasure.

"Oh God Billy, baby that feels wonderful. I'm not going to be able to last
much longer." Joey said, breathing heavily.

"Mmm," I moaned, around his thick meat. I was really enjoying this, almost
as much as he was enjoying, what I was doing to him.

"Oh baby, please, do it Sweetie, do it." Joey said, as he grabbed the
sheets with his hands, throwing his head back into the pillow. "Oh yes, oh
God Billy, you feel so good."

I smiled within myself at the pleasure that I was giving him. I
could feel him writhing under the intense sensation his body was
enduring. I knew that he wouldn't last much longer if I kept up this
pace. I continued my attack on his member, deciding to relieve his
frustration.

"Oh, Sweetie, Oh God, here it comes." He said, as I felt his body tense. I
felt his cock grow thicker in my mouth, as his orgasm began.

"Ahhhhh!!! Oh!! Oh Baby!!!" Joey exclaimed, as his hot cum hit the back
of my throat. I felt his body convulsing in ecstasy, as I heard his
breathing become erratic. I held him by his hips, as I continued milking
him of everything that he had within him. He stroked my hair with his hand,
as he started to calm himself. I could hear his breathing slowly starting
to return to normal, as he lay back on the bed, still trying to recover
from his orgasm.

I finished the work that I had started, and slowly made my way back
up Joey's body, until I lay my head beside his cheek. I gently rested my
arm upon his chest, slightly rubbing him, as I turned and kissed his neck.

He held me tightly against him, turning to kiss my forehead. He
held me that way for a few minutes before either of us spoke.

"Sweetie, I have never felt anything like that in my life." He said,
rubbing my back with his hand.

"I'm glad you enjoyed it honey," I said, smiling at him.

"Enjoyed isn't the word, Sweetie. You did things to me, that no one has
ever done before. It wasn't what you were doing, it was how you were doing
it." He said, making my smile even brighter.

"Joey?" I said.

"Yeah Sweetie." He answered.

"I love you." I said, finally coming to the realization of what that meant.

"I love you too, Sweetie, more than you will ever know." He said, giving me
another kiss.

We lay there for a few more minutes, enjoying the feelings that
were surrounding us. I could have stayed like that, for the rest of the
day, unfortunately Joey had other plans.

"Well, I'm gonna go take a shower, care to join me?" He asked.

"No, we've had enough excitement for one morning, you go ahead." I said,
with a slight laugh.

Joey smiled at me, and headed for the shower. He hadn't been in
there but a few minutes when the phone rang.

"Hello." I answered.

"Billy?" I heard on the other end.

"Yeah Josh, it's me." I said.

"Lance told me about last night. Are you alright?" He asked, the concern
evident in his voice.

"Yeah, I'm doing just fine, thanks for asking." I said, smiling at his
thoughtfulness.

"Are you sure?" He asked again.

"Yeah Josh, I'm sure. In fact, I'm probably doing better now, than I ever
have in my life. Joey and I got a lot of things straightened out last
night." I explained.

"That's great. I'm really happy to hear that. You two are so good for each
other. I'd hate to see anything come between you." He said.

"Thanks Josh, I appreciate that." I said.

"Don't thank me, it's the truth." He said, with a small laugh.

"Then, thank you for being a good friend." I said, smiling into the phone.

"Ain't nutin' but a thang baby." He said, causing me to laugh out loud.

"You need help, you know that?" I asked.

"Yeah, but you love me anyway." He said.

"That I do my friend, that I do." I replied.

"Well, listen, I'll let you go. I just wanted to check, and make sure you
guys were okay." He stated.

"Okay, thanks Josh. I'll tell Joey you called." I said.

"Okay, take it easy." He said.

"Bye," I said, ending the conversation.

I sat there smiling to myself, as Joey came back into the room. He
was wearing only a towel, as he made his way to the dresser.

"What are you smiling about?" He asked, noticing my mood.

"Oh, nothing, Josh just called to make sure that we were okay. Those guys
have become so important to me." I said, smiling at him.

"Hey, you're a part of the family now. They really care about you." He
said, giving me a short kiss.

"I know. That's the part that blows my mind." I said, getting a strange
look from him.

"Why does that blow your mind?" He asked.

"Well, they have accepted me into the family. I just feel so honored by
that." I stated. "I know how your lives are, and I know that it's not easy
to find someone, that you can trust. They have all really opened up to
me. I can't tell you how much that means to me." I said, finishing my
thought.

"They know how much you mean to me, Sweetie. They've made an extra effort
to get to know you. I can tell by the way that they act around you, that
they're glad that they did." He said, causing me to smile again.

"Thank you Sweetheart." I said, giving him a hug.

"Don't thank me. You're the one who won their trust, I just opened the
door, so to speak." He said, with a small grin.

"Joey, about last night." I started, when he held up his hand.

"No, don't say anything else about last night. It's over, so let's just
forget that it ever happened okay?" He said, giving me a pleading look.

"Okay Sweetie, if that's what you want." I said, taking his hand in mine.

"That's exactly what I want." He said, squeezing my hand slightly.

"What do you want to do today?" I asked, as we walked into the living room.

"I don't know. I know we just got home and all, but I'd kind of like to get
away for a few days. You know go somewhere romantic." He said.

"I have an idea." I said, looking at him.

"What's that?" He asked.

"How about you and I, and Josh and Justin rent a place down on the beach
for a few days. You know just have a couples get away. That is if you want
to, and they have no plans." I suggested.

"That sounds like a plan to me. I'd love to go to the beach for a few
days. We could go to Mike's. You know, the place I took you on our first
date." He said, bringing back fond memories for me.

"Yeah, that would be perfect. It's private, it's right on the beach, and we
wouldn't have to worry about being bothered." I said, becoming excited
about the idea.

"Why don't you call Curly and Josh, and see what they say, and I'll go get
us some breakfast." He said, getting up and giving me a kiss.

"Okay honey, I'll see you in a little while." I said, as he grabbed his
keys and headed out the door.

I thought about the whole get away idea for a few minutes, as a
smile crossed my face. I thought it would be good, for the four of us to
spend some time together, just us couples. I picked up the phone and
dialed, Josh and Justin's number.

"Hello," I heard on the other end.

"Curly? What's up?" I asked.

"Oh hey, Billy boy, what can I do for you?" He asked, in a sleepy voice.

"Did I wake you?" I asked, with a slight giggle.

"No, not really, I was trying to talk myself into getting out of bed. You
just sort of helped convince me." He answered, with his own laugh.

"I see, listen, what do you and Josh have planned for the next few days?" I
asked, hoping to get the answer that I wanted.

"Nothing, that I know of, why what's up?" He asked.

"Well, Joey and I are gonna try and head down to the beach for a few days,
and we thought it would be fun, if you and Josh came with us. You know,
kind of a couples get away." I replied.

"Hey, that sounds like fun. Of course I'll have to check with Josh. He's
out getting something to eat right now." He said, causing me to laugh.

"What's so funny?" He inquired.

"Oh nothing, it's just that Joey is out doing the same thing. Have we all
forgotten how to cook or what?" I joked with him.

"Yeah, I guess we have." He said, with a laugh.

"Oh well, when he gets back, you guys talk things over, and give me a call,
okay?" I said, still laughing at our sudden inability to prepare food.

"Okay, I'll ask him as soon as he gets home." He answered.

"Good deal Curly, I'll talk to ya then." I said, finishing my end of the
conversation.

"Okay bye." I heard him say, before I hung up the phone.

Joey returned only a few minutes later, bringing everything we
needed for a nice, quick, no mess involved breakfast. I did manage to make
some coffee before he made it back. I mean, you just can't have breakfast,
without coffee. 'Could be a law, I don't know.' Anyway, we had a nice
breakfast together, and cleaned up what little mess that we did make. I got
rid of the garbage, and then Joey and I made our way to the couch to relax
for a moment. I sat on the couch, as Joey lay down, with his head in my
lap.

"Sweetie?" He said, causing me to look in his direction. "You know what I'd
like to do?"

"What's that?" I asked.

"I think we should throw a little party for our friends. You know, kind of
a way of thanking them for all that they've done for us. Besides, we've
never really had all the guys over." He stated.

"That's a great idea, Sweetie. Maybe I could invite Kevin and Brian over."
I said, rubbing his chest.

"Cool, let's do it then." He said, in an excited voice.

"Okay, and when did you want to have this little get together?" I asked.

"Well, I thought that maybe, we could go see my folks, when we get back
from the beach. Then, we could do it, I don't know, the next week or week
after?" He said, in a questioning tone.

"Okay, that's fine with me. We're going to see your folks?" I asked,
feeling kind of nervous all of a sudden.

"Yeah, I think it's time that we told them." He said, causing my stomach to
do back flips.

"Sweetie, are you sure? Are you absolutely sure?" I questioned him.

"Yes, I am. I'm scared to death, but I want to do this." He stated.

I wasn't sure if I was ready for that, but if Joey wanted to tell
his parents, then I would be right by his side. Frankly, I was surprised
that they hadn't already found out about us. I mean first, a complete
stranger, who had an accident, moves in with their son. Second, after he
has recovered, he moves in with him to live permanently. They have to have
some idea as to what's going on here. I tried to push the thoughts, and the
possible consequences, of the whole matter, out of my mind. At the moment,
I just wanted to enjoy my time with Joey. We sat in complete silence for a
moment, I'm sure both of us were thinking the same thing, when the phone
brought us out of our trance like state.

I grabbed the phone, as Joey remained in place, with his head in my lap. I
smiled at him as I answered.

"Hello," I said, into the receiver.

"Hey Billy boy. Is Joey there?" JC asked.

"Oh hey Josh, yes he is, hang on a sec." I answered, handing Joey the
phone.

"What's up Josh?" Joey said. "Yeah, I thought we'd go down to Mike's for a
few days. Yeah, we thought it would be fun. No, I haven't called yet. I was
waiting to hear from you and Justin."

I followed their conversation easily with, what Joey was saying. It
did sound as if JC and Justin wanted to go, so I was beginning to look
forward to a great time at the beach.

"Okay, let me call Mike, and we'll go from there. Sounds like a plan, yeah,
I'll call you right back. Okay bye." Joey said, as he handed me the phone.

"Sounds like they're interested." I said, hanging up the phone.

"Yeah, I just have to get a hold of Mike, and see if we can use the
place. I don't think it will be a problem though. He's usually out of town
this time of year." Joey said, getting up from the couch.

"Will you be able to reach him?" I asked.

"Yeah, I have his cell number, I'll call that one first." He said,
reassuring me.

"Well, while you're doing that, I think I'll go straighten up the bedroom,
and grab a quick shower myself." I said, kissing him, and heading for the
stairs.

"Okay Sweetie, see ya in a few." He said, picking up the phone.

I headed upstairs to our bedroom. I made the bed, and picked a few
things up here and there. Then, I made my way to the bathroom for my
shower. The warm water felt great running over my stressed out body. I
guess, the events of the previous evening had taken their toll on me. I
finished my shower, got dressed, and headed back down stairs.

"That didn't take long," Joey said, from the couch.

"Well, I didn't have anyone to distract me." I said, smiling at him.

"You should have said something I would have been glad to distract you." He
answered.

"I'll just bet you would. Did you call Mike?" I asked, as I sat next to
him.

"Yes I did. He said, that it would be no problem at all."

"Great!" I said, a bit more enthusiastic than I meant.

"Sounds like someone wants to go to the beach." He said, with a laugh.

"Well, maybe a little." I said, trying to look innocent.

"A little?" He said, as he tackled me, and began to tickle.

"No, no, anything but tickling. I'll do whatever you want, just stop
tickling!" I said, trying to catch my breath.

"You'll do anything?" He asked, grinning at me.

"Anything!" I yelled, trying to convince him.

"Promise me, you'll never die." He said, becoming more serious.

"Okay, I promise." I said, earning myself a look of confusion from Joey.

"How can you promise something like that?" He asked, looking down at me.

"Hey, If I don't come through, what are you gonna do to me?" I asked,
causing him to laugh.

"Good point." He said, giving me a few more good tickles.

We lay there together, enjoying each other's company, until I
decided to break the silence.

"So, when do we leave?" I asked, turning towards him.

"In about ten minutes." He said, standing, and looking at his watch.

"Ten minutes!" I said, loudly, as I got to my feet. "We can't leave in ten
minutes. I don't have anything packed."

"Well, okay, how about two hours?" He said, grinning at me, as he backed
away and turned to run.

"Oh, Fatone, you are so dead." I said, running after him.

Joey and I packed, and headed over to pick up JC and Justin. I was
so looking forward to this. It was going to be fun to get away from 'Nsync'
for a while, and just be us. No meetings, no personal appearances, no meet
and greet, no nothing, just the four of us having fun. We arrived a few
minutes later, and pulled into the drive way. We walked to the door, and
rang the bell, but no one answered. Joey had his own key, so he unlocked
the door. When we got inside, I was wishing that we had just stayed
outside, and waited for them. As we walked into the living room, Joey and I
looked at each other, trying to keep from laughing out loud. We could hear
Justin's voice from the other room.

"Oh Josh, oh baby, yeah give it to me." He said, as we heard flesh slamming
into flesh.

It was all that we could do to contain ourselves. We made our way
to the couch, and sat. We just couldn't pass up a moment like this. Before
long the sounds stopped. A few minutes later they walked out, to find Joey
and me sitting there applauding.

"Encore!" I yelled, from my seat.

"What a performance." Joey yelled, throwing in a whistle for good measure.

"Oh, I'd definitely give it a nine." I said, to Joey.

"At least." He said, smiling at me.

"Okay, okay glad you two enjoyed the show, ya pervs." Justin said, throwing
a pillow at us.

"Did he call us pervs?" I asked.

"Why yes, I believe he did. I'm truly hurt, aren't you?" Joey said.

"Deeply." I said, placing a hand over my heart for dramatic effect.

"Oh yeah, we believe ya." JC said, as he made his way towards us with some
luggage. "Don't you guys have anything better to do, than eavesdrop on our
sex life?"

"No," Joey and I said in unison.

"Uh oh they're merging again." Justin said, from the hallway. "Are we sure
we want to go with them?"

"Well, somebody has to keep an eye on them." JC said, with a laugh.

Joey and I helped them get the rest of their stuff into the Jeep,
and then we headed off to the beach.

"Gee, you guys think you brought enough stuff with you?" I asked, turning
to look at them.

"Nah, but it'll do," Justin said, with a smirk on his face.

The rest of the drive went pretty smooth. The four of us talked
about different things here and there. We all decided not to mention Nsync
business for the next couple days, and just enjoy ourselves.

We arrived at Mike's house that afternoon, and unloaded our
luggage. It was a beautiful house, complete with a hot tub. I had been
there only once, and it was dark at the time. Joey and I didn't even come
to the house that night. We just walked along the beach. We made our
choices for rooms, dumped our stuff and decided to go for a swim.

"Hey guys, Joey and I will meet you on the beach." I said, from outside
their door.

"Okay," I heard Josh say, from the other side.

Joey and I headed out to the beach, carrying a few towels, and a
basket with sun tan lotion, and stuff inside. We set our things down on a
nice even spot, and looked out over the ocean. We took our shirts off, and
I handed mine to Joey to put in the basket along with his. Just as he
turned to put the shirts in, I reached over grabbing the leg of his shorts,
and gave a quick pull. His shorts fell to his ankles leaving him there in
all his glory. As I ran for the water, I looked back, just long enough to
see the stunned look on his face. He quickly pulled his shorts up, and
started after me. I ran into the water, and dove under the surface. I knew
if Joey caught up with me, I'd pay for what I had done, and pay dearly.

I surfaced, and quickly scanned the area for Joey. I didn't see him
anywhere. At first I was uneasy, but after a few minutes I began to
worry. That is, until I felt something grab me under the water. I was
pulled under, in a flash. Before I even knew what was happening, Joey had
successfully removed my shorts, and started for the shore. I grinned to
myself, as I started after him.

"Are we missing something Sweetie?" He asked, waving my shorts in the air.

"You're gonna be missing a few other things, if you don't give those back."
I said, my laughter over shadowing my threat.

"Oh, I don't think so. I mean, you look so much better out of them." Joey
said, running up the beach.

"Joseph Anthony Fatone, bring those back here right now!" I yelled, as I
ran after him, not paying attention to the things around me.

"Well, isn't that a fine thing to see in the middle of the afternoon." JC
said, from behind me.

His voice startled me a bit, causing me to stop running. I turned
to see him and Justin, grinning from ear to ear, as they waved to me.

"Oh well, I don't have anything that you guys haven't seen before." I
stated, as I resumed my chase of Joey. I could see him just ahead of me,
taunting me with my own shorts in his hands. Just as I would get close he'd
take off again.

"Mr. Fatone, if I don't have those shorts in my hands in 3 seconds, you
won't have sex for 3 weeks." I said, causing his face to drop.

"One," I said, smiling at him as he started in my direction. "Two," I said,
louder as his pace quickened. "Three," I said, just as the shorts hit my
hand. I put my shorts back on, giving Joey an evil grin.

"You are so bad, you know that don't you?" I said, to him.

"Well, when I'm good, I'm good. But, when I'm bad, I'm better." He said,
pulling me into a hug.

"Oh really? I might just have to test that theory later." I said, giving
him a quick kiss.

"Oh look Josh, Billy has on clothes," Justin said, causing JC to laugh.

"Very funny you two." I said, giving them a dismissive gesture.

"Oh you wanna talk funny?" JC said, in my direction. "You should have seen
your pearly white ass running across this beach, now that was funny."

"Ha, ha, ha," I said, smacking him in the back of the head. He looked up at
me and grinned.

"Let's go for a swim guys." Justin said.

"Okay, but be careful. There's something in there that makes your shorts
come off." I said, causing everyone to laugh. Justin and JC threw me over
their shoulders and headed for the water.

"Um guys, I can walk myself." I said, looking around to see what they were
doing. The next thing I knew I was sailing through the air, and landing in
water.

Everyone joined in, and we had a nice swim before dinner. We were
like a group of teenagers, well okay Justin 'was' still a teenager, but you
get the picture. I had more fun in that span of time than I had, had in a
long time. We even had a little gladiator game. JC was on my shoulders, and
Justin was on Joey's. After a few matches, we decided to call it a day, and
head for the house.

"Guys, what are we doing for dinner?" Joey asked.

"I don't know. What does everybody want?" JC asked.

"I could go for a pizza, myself." Justin answered.

"Yeah, that does sound pretty good." I agreed.

"That works for me," JC said.

"Cool, hey you guys want to rent a movie or something for tonight?" Joey
asked.

"Sounds good to me." I answered.

"Well, let's order the pizza, and then two of us can run over to the video
place while it's being sent." JC said.

"Okay, I'll call in the pizza. What kind?" Joey asked.

"Pepperoni, extra cheese" Justin and I said, in unison. JC and Joey looked
at each other shaking their heads.

"Well, while you're doing that, I guess I could go to the video store." I
said. "Anything you guys want to watch?"

"Just don't get one of those sappy films." Justin said, as he plopped down
on the couch.

"Yes, your curlyness." I said, bowing towards him.

"Hang on, I'll come with you." Josh said, giving Justin a quick kiss.

"We'll be back in a flash." I said, giving Joey a kiss, as Josh and I
headed for the video store.

"You have anything in mind, that you'd like to watch tonight?" I asked.

"Not really, whatever you think is fine. Well, maybe some kind of action
or comedy movie." JC answered.

"Okay, we'll check it out when we get there." I said, smiling at him.

"So, things seem really good with you and Joe." He said, smiling back at
me.

"Yeah, things are going very well, at the moment." I said, glancing at him.

"So, no more trust issues?" He asked, catching me off guard.

"No, not anymore. Did Lance tell you everything?" I asked, causing him to
laugh.

"Well, actually no. Lance just said that you and Joey were having problems,
and that you had left. Joey told me what really happened." He answered.

"I should have guessed. I went to Lance, and Joey went to you." I said,
patting his leg.

"Yeah, he talks to me when things are bothering him. I guess it's the same
thing with you and Lance." He said.

"I guess so." I replied.

"I have never seen Joey, this way about anyone before." He said, out of the
blue.

"What do you mean?" I asked, unsure where he was going.

"He's just so much in love with you. No one has been able to do that." He
said, shaking his head at me.

"That's pretty much, what Lance told me." I said, reflecting on my
conversation with him.

"It's not just Joey. You're a part of us now. We'll be there for you
whenever you need us." He said, changing my mood.

"I appreciate that Josh. I love you guys, just as if you were my brothers."
I said, taking his hand in mine.

"Good, 'cause that's exactly how we feel about you." He said, squeezing my
hand.

"Well, we'll probably be pulled over by the cheese police any minute now."
I said, causing us to laugh.

"Yeah, you're right. I've been expecting them for some time now." He
replied.

We pulled into the video store, and made our way inside. After a
while of looking, we chose Sling Blade, and The Matrix.

"Here, I'll get these," JC said, taking his credit card out of his wallet.

"Um Josh, the girl working the register is probably in her early
twenties. You hand her that card, and those sunglasses, and that hat will
be absolutely worthless. Besides, I'd rather not cause a major scene today
if you don't mind." I said, taking the videos from him.

"I see your point." He said, smiling at me. "Then again, a scene can be fun
sometimes." He said, reaching for the videos again.

"Well, not today it isn't." I said, smacking his hands away.

"Aww, you never let me have any fun." He said, as he faked a pout.

"Oh shut up." I said, laughing at him.

I paid for the videos, and we headed back to the house. We were
thinking that maybe it wasn't such a good idea, to have left Joey and
Justin at the house with pizza on the way.

"Do you think there will be any left, when we get back?" I asked.

"Knowing those two, it would be hard to say." He answered.

We made it back to the house, just in time to see the pizza
delivery guy leaving. JC and I looked at each other and smiled.

"Perfect timing," He said, grabbing the videos.

I parked the Jeep, and we headed inside, for a night of videos,
pizza, and who knows what else before the night was finished.

"Hey guys, just in time." Joey said, walking over to give me a kiss.

"Hi Sweetie," I said, returning his kiss.

"Hey Punkin," JC said, giving Justin a kiss as well.

"Hi Honey," Justin said, returning JC's kiss.

"What movies did you guys get?" Justin asked, as he grabbed the bag, with
the videos.

"We got Sling Blade, and The Matrix." I answered.

"Oh cool." Justin replied.

"You need some help, Sweetheart?" I asked, walking over to Joey.

"Yeah, if you could grab those drinks for me, I'd appreciate it." He said,
motioning towards the drinks with his head, as he got some pizza for
everyone.

"I'm on it, baby." I said, giving him another quick kiss on the cheek,
causing him to smile.

"You can get on it later. Right now let's eat." JC said, surprising me a
bit.

"Joshua Scott Chasez! I can't believe you just said that. You have a bad
streak in you boy." I said, lightly punching him in the arm.

"Yes, but I wear it well, don't you think?" He asked.

"Oh, I think it looks good on you baby." Justin said, as he wrapped his
arms around his boyfriend.

"Oh yeah, there's a surprise." Joey said, cuffing Justin in the back of the
head.

"Hey! Easy on the curls Phat one." Justin said, releasing JC.

"Now children," I said, taking the drinks into the living room.

"He started it," Justin said, pointing towards Joey.

"Did not," Joey replied.

"Did too," Justin said.

"Nu uh," Joey said, playfully shoving Justin.

"Why are we dating them again?" I asked JC.

"No one else could put up with them." He answered, grinning at me.

"Oh yeah, I knew there was a reason." I said, grinning back at him.

"You love us, and you know it." Joey said, patting the place next to him.

"Well, you got me there." I said, sitting beside him.

"Yeah, there's nobody else like my little Curly," JC said, sitting on the
floor in front of Justin's chair.

"What are we watching first?" I asked, taking a bite from my pizza.

"I put 'The Matrix' in, but we can watch whichever first. It doesn't matter
to me." Justin answered.

"No, that's fine with me, if it's okay with everyone else." I said, looking
around for everyone's approval.

Everyone agreed, and we spent the next few hours, eating and
watching TV. Of course there were also those little snuggle sessions, here
and there during the movie.

We watched both movies, finished the pizza, and talked a while
about nothing in particular. We were really enjoying each others'
company. It was nice to be in a setting, where everyone could just be
themselves, without worrying about who might be watching.

"You know something Sweetie?" I asked Joey.

"What's that?" He replied.

"It's a very nice night. Why don't we go sit on the deck for a while, I'll
get us a blanket." I said, standing from my seat.

"That sounds good to me." He replied.

"You guys want to join us?" I asked, looking at JC and Justin.

"There's only two chairs out there." Justin answered.

"I know, perfect for two couples to snuggle under the stars, don't you
think." I said, winking at him.

He thought about what I said for a second, and then turned to JC,
who smiled at him, in agreement.

"Honey, let's go out on the deck." Justin said, pulling JC up with him.

"What a wonderful idea," JC said. "Why didn't I think of that?"

"I'll get a couple of blankets from the closet, and meet you guys outside."
I said, laughing at the two lovebirds.

I grabbed a few blankets, and headed out onto the deck to join Joey
and the guys. I was having a good time. I wanted this evening to be perfect
for all of us. When I got outside, Justin and JC had already taken a chair,
and had gotten a head start on the snuggling. I threw a blanket over them,
as they held each other even closer. Joey sat in the other chair, so I sat
in between his legs, with my back to his chest. I pulled the blanket up
over us, and relaxed against him.

"Oh yeah, this feels great." I said, holding Joey's arms closer to me.

"It is so peaceful out here." JC said, from beside us.

"You can really see the moon, and the stars. It's so romantic." Justin
said.

"I know, this is where Joey and I came, the night of our first date." I
said, leaning my head back against him.

"Really? You guys came here?" JC asked.

"Well, we didn't exactly come here. We just went for a nice long walk on
the beach. We held hands, walked next to the waters edge, and sat on some
rocks, watching the moon reflect in the ocean." Joey said, reliving the
night for both of us.

"That sounds so romantic." Justin said, with a slight sigh.

"Oh it was. It was a perfect night. I think that's why I wanted you guys to
come down here with us. I wanted to share a little bit of what we had that
night, with you two." I said, smiling at them.

"That's really sweet Billy, thanks." JC said.

"All I know, is that night changed my life forever." Joey said, holding me
tighter.

"Mine too Sweetie." I replied.

We stayed out on the deck for hours, just staring into the night
sky, and enjoying the moon lit ocean view. What more could I have asked? A
beautiful night, a wonderful man, and two of my best friends to share it
all.
